I love this story. I think it is beautiful and sweet, Veba is just so adorable and she loves Rickie so. Rickie becomes herself through Veba, Veba brings out all her softness and vulnerablity. Its a loving tale of overcoming great odds. I have read the whole series with fascination. - lily Sep 28th, 2004 |

I found the author's site and story by chance a couple of years ago, before she started posting here. The basic premise is tangled - Noemi takes on the role of carer for her brother's ex-gf who is pregnant with his child. This story could have fallen apart in so many ways but the writer forges strongly ahead with every chapter. The focus and thread of the story is firm. There are sub-plots shoring the main couple nicely. The supporting characters are interesting; ranging from sleazy, benign, righteous to warm, funny and sexy. Best of all (!), is the tortured soul herself, Noemi. Her character resounds with angst, anger, power, sadness and is oh, so very sexy. In my view, the earlier version of this story was much more powerful in it's rawness and sensuality but the revision has smoothed out some edges and added more to the surroundings. Personally, I think it detracts a little from Noemi's edgy characterisation but the story still remains one of my favourites. The story moves very quickly from the start, we feel the restrained primality of Noemi and we learn about her family and personal demons. We are easily caught up in her activities and the story actually picks up heat the further it runs (note: glacier warning!). Terri is her catalyst for healing and loving again and her best friend's romance deserves a separate story of it's own. Noemi is on my personal Tops list, I pull it for a good angsty, dramatic and erotic romance. Brilliant work, Ms Ruiz. - E Sep 23rd, 2004 |

Due to illness in my family and my upcoming surgery, Fourth and Goal will not be updated again until mid October. Thank you, Strongsouljah
The Cost of Commitment, the sequel to The Price of Fame, is now available for pre-orders for those of you attending BardFest in Washington, D.C. October 1-3. The new novel will be available to the general public October 8th, but will be available for general pre-orders before then. Please check my website at www.lynnames.com or go to www.starcrossedproductions.com for the latest information.
TCOC picks up where TPoF left off, with Kate and Jay starting their new life together. If you enjoy thrillers, you're going to love this book. And if you're a romance addict, let me assure you that there's plenty of that to be found, as well.
In terms of a web version of TCOC, I am working on putting something of a teaser together for posting. At the moment, my right wrist is in a cast, I am in the process of moving across the country, and I have two book signings (we'll get to that in a second) in the next two weeks. Just thought I'd explain that the hold up isn't anything calculated...merely the challenges of the moment. In any event, whatever appears on the web in the end will be severely abridged, so be sure to buy your print copy if you want a serious fix of Kate and Jay . (Or if you want to know how the book ends ).
If any of you are planning to be in the Ithaca, New York area this Saturday, September 25th, or know anyone who will be, I will be doing a book signing and discussion at the Borders there at 2 p.m. I'd love to see you. That signing, FYI, is for The Price of Fame, although if coaxed I might be willing to give a preview of The Cost of Commitment ;-).
For those of you attending BardFest in DC, I hope you'll stop by and say hello. I will be sitting on several panels and signing autographs for both TPoF and TCOC both Saturday and Sunday, October 1st and 2nd.
Finally, the new anthology, Infinite Pleasures: An Anthology of Lesbian Erotica, is in print. More than thirty talented authors contributed stories for this book. Oh, and I have one in there, too.
Thanks, as always, for your support. You make it worth all the hard work.
Best,
Lynn Ames

Defiantly a Larisa story. What do ya do when you find the object of your effection sleepign with a giggling ELMO doll? - SammyLee Sep 19th, 2004 |
Read the whole series. Good author and you can't stop reading. - Anonymous Sep 19th, 2004 |
This has all the usal sighns and traits of a Larisa Story You love her stuff this one will be right up your ally to. I know I had a great time reading it. - SammyLee Sep 18th, 2004 |
I would agree that this story is on many levels a good one, and I did enjoy reading it. There is one thing however that really bothered me and that I can't seem to move past. When we first meet Veba, she has the emotional maturity of a small child, and yet Rickie immediately has an overt sexual interest in her. That part not only doesn't ring true for me, it really puts me off. When they meet, Rickie knows nothing about Veba expect that she is emotionally stuck at a 6 year old level...and she immediately falls for Veba and wants to get her into bed? Hmmmm. I don't think so. - Chris Sep 17th, 2004 |
I loved this awesome story and can not wait for book 2 thanks RangerLiz for sharing your talent with all of us - Kat Sep 17th, 2004 |
Heart of Africa is fresh, charming, funny, warm and a delicious adventure love story. I cannot give this story a higher recommendation as you will fall in love with these characters and the interaction between them. Great read, well written and a 'don't miss' story. - Tap Sep 16th, 2004 |

I laughed so hard I almost inhaled my scone. Very funny -- had a great time reading this one. Can recommend it for a more than a few laughs. :o))) - Linda Sep 14th, 2004 |
A great read! Intelligent and thought provoking debates between the two main characters and a beautifully developed romance. Even though Alex Tryst's political intentions are obvious, you don't have to know a lot about the election to enjoy the adventure of two women looking for their soulmates. This book makes you believe in the power of love, love of family, love of friends, and the kind of love only to be found in that special person. And the part about Dara's nephew, Justin, well, all I can say is that it takes a strong person to reveal their personal trials to the world. Thank you, Alex, for allowing us to look into your real life for a brief moment and letting us learn more about a disease that affects so many. Job well done! - Anonymous Sep 14th, 2004 |
just finished but didn't want it to end...can't wait for the sequel.. - dodie Sep 14th, 2004 |
I love this beautiful story. I was so captured I read it in one sitting. I wish I could just start exploring a building and find myself my own Veba. Thank you for this lovely touching peice. - Darlene Sep 14th, 2004 |
And that bargain explains why their names are not known to history. Readers who discover this bard learn to expect thoughtful beautifully written, richly imaginative stories about the Bard and Warrior Princess. Mary Morgan’s love of and dedication to the relationship recommends all her stories which are Alternative, by the way. One of her many strengths particularly evident in this one is the skillful use of metaphor to describe the basic nature of the two friends and soulmates. How each experiences and reacts to what happens and how it affects their bond makes this a very satisfying read. I especially like the bit of whimsy in the denouement. The stories are also available in Palm Doc and Palm Reader Format. - Ann Sep 13th, 2004 |
This story is not to be missed! Beautifully written and edited. My new favorite uber. I too am head over heels for Devlyn Marlowe. This story should be in print. Congrats to T. Novan and Advocate--Well Done!! - FullofGrace Sep 12th, 2004 |

great story so far, cant wait for the rest! - blazinangelwings Sep 4th, 2004 |
I found I enjoyed this one a lot. Thank you Patricia. For anyone that wants to read a sweet story with most of the Olympian gods making an appearance read this one. Artemis and Aphrodite cook up a soul connection with Gabrielles' and Xenas' souls. Worth taking a look at. - SammyLee Sep 4th, 2004 |
This is such a charming tale. I loved it. I love how your slowly drawn in and just captured by the two main charachters and the mysterious planet they get stranded on. Great job. - Katie Sep 2nd, 2004 |
This is a short, fascinating tale of hate, murder and revenge and how Xena and Gabrielle come to the aid of a besieged village with their wits rather than sword, chakram or staff. You’ll be surprised to see how her weapons become a liability for Xena. So Gabrielle plants an idea and Xena uses it to the detriment of their assailant. She expresses a truth pertinent to today, that there will always be underlings to do the dirty work, following orders. You can count on Mary Morgan to engage your mind as well as emotions and this story does just that. Highly recommended. - Ann Sep 2nd, 2004 |
awesome story! i'm not ususally fond of vampire stories, but the way gabite hooks you in is wonderful. very captivating. just don't read it if you have to get up early the next morning, cause you won't be able to stop! - r.d.elliott Sep 1st, 2004 |
Ok , so I stayed up late and read this because I just had to see what happened. Nice job !!!! - Shaybe Sep 1st, 2004 |
Can't wait to see where this goes. More soon I hope!!! - Shaybe Sep 1st, 2004 |
Ok..I told myself I wasn't going to read this because it was not a completed story yet,but I peeked at the first page and when I dicovered that it used one my most favorite movies as a basis I just had to read it. I'm glad I did it was a great read. A true homage to a great movie. Now I can't wait for it to be completed. I hope it gets updated soon(sneaky bard! you sure know how to leave folks hangin!) Great work...keep it up! - Elfcat255 Sep 1st, 2004 |
the intense pain radiating from both characters breaks our heart little by little as their story progresses to only be fully healed in the end with a simple but heartfelt ending, one everybody hopes for. - blazinangelwings Sep 1st, 2004 |
The story challenge has ended with eight stories posted in the What's New section for your perusal. When you've read them please take a moment to vote for your favorite. The results will be posted on September 10th. Thank you.
I wish to thank all the bards that participated in the challenge.
This is such a great story!! I hope the author contnues. The story takes its time and there is real angst, not forced but the pain of childhood and home. The main characters are great and are imperfect in a way we all can relate. - BKFaith Aug 31st, 2004 |
intense and captivating every time i read a story by Radclyffe i want more, beautiful and deep in every way - tracy Aug 31st, 2004 |
beautiful story exciting in more ways then one the sequals are not to be missed - Anonymous Aug 30th, 2004 |
This story is excellent! The main characters are quick witted, very entertaining and extremely easy to like; you really start to care about them more and more as the tale develops. I can't wait to see where the author goes next, so keep up the good work! - Ang Aug 30th, 2004 |
This story is absolutely good. The characters seem real and the plot kept me reading well into the night. Believe me when I say you have to read this story because you will hooked from the first word to the last. I highly recommend this to everyone. Just when you think you figured it out, something else happens and that is what kept me reading. Can't wait to read the sequel. - Meg Aug 30th, 2004 |
Wow, this story is just amazing. And I think the scene between Erin and Liz is the hottest I've ever read! I'm really looking forward to the sequel and how things turn out. Does anybody else wish that Erin and Liz end up together?? - Anonymous Aug 30th, 2004 |
I really enjoyed this series the budding freindship and then love between these two people are touching. Well done, I hope there is more I hate to see them end they are very endearing. - Tessie Aug 30th, 2004 |
I had forgotten this story's name, but not the story itself. A terrific mystery with realistic thought processes and dialogue. (It's no spoiler to say that in this story, a woman is blinded in a car accident and then begins "seeing" disturbing things.) A great story. - Fanficionado Aug 29th, 2004 |
OH was this one fun -- I enjoyed it muchly - Linda Aug 29th, 2004 |
Great story...was up late looking for something to read when I came across this. Ended up staying up till I was able to finish it. Keep up the good work...=) - Lacey Aug 27th, 2004 |
I just love this story. This is one of the best uber stories out. A must read for everyone. I can't wait for the next installment. Keep up the great work! - Veronica Aug 27th, 2004 |
I think what I liked most about this story.....every time I read it, is the way the humour, snide remarks and quick asides fly around the entire story. It really makes the story come alive for me. The opening paragraphs really got me wondering what all the questions being directed at Sue, were for. At first you have no idea if Sue Rainer, the questionee, was under arrest or at a job interview or the Spanish Inquisition! The rapid fire way the story is written, sure helps get the adrenaline pumping right at the jump off point. This style in Mavis' writing is what keeps me looking for more new stories........and I'm never disappointed! - Kelly Aug 26th, 2004 |
Great story.I love the dialogue/banter between these two characters. Will this story be finish soon??? Can't wait til it's finish. Do you have other writings? - mt Aug 26th, 2004 |
Wow, this story is absolutely the best thing Ms. Tryst has written. This story has the perfect balence of plot, sensuality, and romance. please write a sequel. - Anonymous Aug 25th, 2004 |
If you like Conqueror stories (and big doses of angst), this baby is for you! Mayt is a skilled writer who produces moving and engrossing stories. This is one of my faves ~ Don't miss it! - Chris Aug 24th, 2004 |
A great story. I loved it. I wish there were more of it. This is a definite must read, or even re-read if it's been a while. Excellent. - BB Aug 24th, 2004 |
Finish please!!This is an awesome freakin story!!! - Chaser07 Aug 22nd, 2004 |
I just finished reading the whole series in one night. I really loved Dakota and Jackie but this last one just ripped my heart out. What a touching end to a wonderful series. I loved all the layers and all the love. - Toni Aug 20th, 2004 |
Don't miss this story. It's a sweet, funny and romantic adventure love story. Excellent writing as always. - Jesse Aug 20th, 2004 |
This sequel is as moving as the first part of My Lord. Don't miss it. - Renee (Netherlands) Aug 18th, 2004 |
Beautifull story. Beautifull written. - Renee (Netherlands) Aug 18th, 2004 |
Ok Chapter 2 - damn I live in Georgia where Kudzu is the state flower I believe. You transported me back in time and took me on the journey of their terror just as if I had been standing there watching the entire scene. Life in your story is no different then real life. Ronica you have accomplished a true feeling of real life in how you write. Thank you for sharing it with us. I can understand more about Jay's paranoia and why death is her way of protecting those she loves. Looking forward to chapter 3 with anticipation. - Shadylady Aug 16th, 2004 |
Like the rest of her works, exceptional! A must read for any lover of romance. Thank you for sharing your talent and your beautiful story. - Anonymous Aug 16th, 2004 |
This story is what Friend In Need I and II should have been IMHO. Saul's story, in comparison to FIN, makes more sense to me. I don't want to spoil this story, so let me just say that the flow of this piece is smoother and the ideas expressed within are more rational to me. The relationship beween G and X is honored and respected. The battle scenes respect the skills of both Xena and the Samurai warriors. Its a good read, IMHO and I recommend it highly. - M.E. Hunt Aug 16th, 2004 |
An intriguing series. The first story had me vaccilating between the 3 main characters and the sequel looks promising too. Excellent story. - E Aug 15th, 2004 |
Wow, it's a great story! I wish there was a sequel. - s.happy Aug 15th, 2004 |
"Somewhere in Hollywood" deals with a homeless woman, Annah, who is mistaken for a famous Hollywood actress. Having nothing to lose she plays along. She learns that the actress has disappeared, leaving behind a filmcrew and a girlfriend. What a wonderful story! I started reading it without any expectations and i was surprised in a positive way. - lectra Aug 15th, 2004 |
The first word that comes to mind is... cute. The title reveals a lot. It'a about a girl who plays football and falls for a cheerleader. Cute! - lectra Aug 15th, 2004 |
Another one nailed by Mark! My second uber and i'm still on the hunt! this one is absolutely precious. the dialogue...man... can't say too much, don't want any spoilers here, you better go read it and get blown away!Again! - Katrina Aug 15th, 2004 |
was my first uber by Mark Annetts, and what a great story! i'm off to hunt every last one down now! the dialogue (hilarious and truly touching sometimes) and the mystery kept me glued to the screen, awesome characters too. - Katrina Aug 15th, 2004 |
This was such a neat story I loved Dev and Holly. They are both so complex and yet very lovable. I really loved the different view of Los Angeles in it. I had no idea there was even a subway there. What do you do when there is an earthquake? - tess Aug 14th, 2004 |
Highly highly highly recommendend. What a wonderfull writer Gardner is. - Renee (Netherlands) Aug 14th, 2004 |
this is a must read story.....the author proves yet again that she gets better and better with each new story. the story makes you laugh, makes cry, makes you mad all the way to the very end and your left wonderfully happy. - dreamangel Aug 14th, 2004 |
Interesting tale, colorful characters, and a delightful sense of humor add up to a very, very enjoyable read. (an 8 out of 10). "I had found something that always helped raise my spirits. Xena! I did my best imitation of my TV heroine’s battle cry, which sounded like a chicken caught in a fan. Watching that long legged beauty kick the crap out of someone always cheered me up." How can you not love that? :) Thank you Robin! - Chris Aug 13th, 2004 |
omg I loved this sotryit was soooooooo cute. This is probably one of the best I have read on this site u have a very good imagination I hope u keep writeing I can't wait to read more of u'r sories - chosen_for_myself Aug 12th, 2004 |
Ok, basically the stories of Larisa have the same elements but still she creates new stories each time. The dialogues are really funny e.g Grandpa, "Damn woman if I was 50 years younger and female." You have to read it to get the context... . - lectra Aug 12th, 2004 |
Oh my I know what Gabrielle feels like and exactly why she dosn't want to say anything. People who don't go through that pain do not understand. It is wonderful to see Xena so sweet and understanding. I wish I had someone to care for me like she does for Gabrielle. - Anni Aug 12th, 2004 |
Fan Fiction Editor's Note: Desert Hawk as well as Return of the Warrior are available as .pdf files on D2D's website. when i try to view the story return of the warrior it wont show up, i've read part one but can not acess part two. just thought you'd like to know - erynn Aug 11th, 2004 |
Thank you for your summary, Di. It helped me a lot. This is a nice story featuring two main characters who cannot be more different but still are meant to be together. - lectra Aug 11th, 2004 |
Djwp warns us: "X&G classic fan fiction is in danger of extinction"... with stories as wonderful as this one there isn’t such a risk. NOT TO BE MISSED! - Pru Aug 11th, 2004 |
This story is one that is in need of a box of kleenex. I loved the development of the characters and how the "Gabby" character was the stronger of the two. I loved this story and how it pulled you in from the beginning. I would love to see a sequel. Keep up the wonderful work,Patty. - Lynn Glover Aug 10th, 2004 |
I love Cleo and Clemmy. This was a wonderful story and a good mystery in its own right. I knew it was tribute to Agatha Christie but I couldn't figure who did it right away I think this a worthy succesor to one of the great writers own stories. - Ronnie Aug 10th, 2004 |
I love Gloria's Inn! It's wonderfully written and the writer has a great sense of humour. I hope to see more from this writer. Well Done Robin!!! - Sheri (the other twin) Aug 9th, 2004 |
awesome as always - kasey Aug 9th, 2004 |
I didn't understand what the title has to do with the story... but who cares? You get stuck with the first sentence and you hold your breath to see what happens next. It was a rollercoaster ride of emotions while reading First there is angst, then passion, then love, then loneliness, then anger and so on... . S. Anne Gardner also touched my heart by the way she let Barbara and Taya find their way together. Ohhh... The only complaint is where is the rest? 7 parts are not enough! - lectra Aug 9th, 2004 |
I love Veba! How could anyone with a heart not fall in love with such a good soul. She is wonderful, I think Rickie needs her as much as she needs Rickie. Great job! I can't wait to read the rest. - Kate Aug 8th, 2004 |
"The Blues" was the story that finally got me hooked and so I started reading a lot of Larisa's works. Where do I begin? I really love the goofy people in the story. No one is safe from embarrassing oneself. I think that's what makes the characters alive, not to mention the dialogues. - lectra Aug 7th, 2004 |
So you think you know how the wind blows? You have no idea... Larisa succeeded in creating very funny and lively supporting characters. Have you ever had "Alien Abductees, Pharos, Queens, Presidents, Martin Luther King, Elvis, Jimmy Hendrix and Batman" in one story? Of course there's is no need to praise Blade and Sweetpea. So just enjoy! - lectra Aug 7th, 2004 |
This is by far the best of Kim Baldwin's work. The action scenes are right out of the movies. I felt the tension as the leads waited out the dark night in the tornado's aftermath. But it was the tension between Erin and Gable that stayed with me for days after I read the story. The sexual tension kept me on pins and needles! It hit way to close to home! For anyone who has wondered if their "good friend" feels the same way they do... this story will bring back wonderful memories. Thanks Kim, - L. Karol Aug 6th, 2004 |
D.J. Belt, this is one of the best stories that I have read that uses a future world to express issues that are pertinent in this day and age. You have done an excellent, tasteful job of bringing to the forefront major concerns that affect all of us from marriage, to love and religion. This has been one of the most enjoyable stories that I have had the pleasure of reading. I love science fiction and you craftly managed to create a world that was mentally very visual to me. Thank you for a story well done. - Shadylady Aug 6th, 2004 |
Hilarious! I can't describe what I liked best. Larisa just did a great job... AGAIN. If you want a comedy, a romance and an surprising ending... here you go... - lectra  Aug 6th, 2004 |

This is such an amazing story!!! Loved it from the beginning, and it only got better. Thank you! - mytilene Aug 6th, 2004 |
This is truly an inspired story! This author has constructed a wonderful SciFi tale resplendant with current issues and concerns and takes us through the darkness trimphantly to the light! Yes, Sara and Jeni are truly a winning combination, and you'll love this futuristic parable and will cheer along with those that see past prejudice and hate. A truly feel good tale! - Anastacia Aug 5th, 2004 |
The beach, great friends and a budding romance...ahhh heaven. Thanks again Ms Black! - Anonymous Aug 5th, 2004 |
Wow, what an incredible story. Ms. Black is truly a writer with ability to show great depth and passion! We wish we could have such a wonderful encounter. - Anonymous Aug 5th, 2004 |
Well I absolutely agree with the previous entries. It's funny, it's fresh. What are you waiting for? Go on and read! - lectra  Aug 5th, 2004 |
I have to say this is truly an endering story. Really opens your eyes to the everyday challenges of loving and caring for a child with a life threatening illness. The development of the relationship between Crystal and Lauren moved along at a pace that was realistic and didn't feel rushed and phoney, as they so often can in a short story. I had many a chuckle over the comments to the cat "Ram" and the humour has just the right flavour throughout! Thankfully there was not TOO much "inner monologue" that often takes away from the main body of the story. The story's perspective, written from the kids point of view, speaks volumes about how the author relates to kids. Over all a GREAT story and an eye opening subject, also perfectly paced for a really enjoyable read. This one is not to be missed. I'm just crossing my fingers that there will be a sequel. ;) - Skeeter Aug 4th, 2004 |
i love this story. it's well-written and takes place on the hindenburg's last voyage. great characterizations of jan & mel. it isn't finished yet and i sincerely hope that one day it will be--sooner rather than later, please! - vicl43 Aug 4th, 2004 |
THis story, along with the sequels, were just amazing!! I really, really loved them!! Reece and Faith were fun to read about, and the storyline was great. Vertigo, I hope you have more stories that you're working on. These are some of the best I've read. - usaussie Aug 4th, 2004 |
Great story. I really hope that you write a sequel! - fan Aug 4th, 2004 |
I really loved this story, at first I thought it was just a love story but soon I realized it was so much more. It was the story of love winning through all the traps and troubles that life can throw at it. - Angie Aug 4th, 2004 |
Before I started writing X&G fanfic, I read X&G fanfic...alot. Along with Felioness' "The Amphipolis Expedition", Quest's, "The Ship Who Remembered" was one of the first ubers I recall. Having read and noted the popularity of the recent tale, "Only Have Eyes for You", I suspect that many readers will find this a good read. X&G are recognizable and well portrayed. The caring between them and their growing closeness mirrors the series, but this story has a happy ending! "The Ship Who Remembered" is alt/uber from when that genre was still pretty new. This is an Sci-fi adventure and a semi-X-over using ideas from Anne MacCaffery's brainship series. I saved it on my HD a few years back when some sites shut down and I worried that I'd be able to find it again. Give it a try, and note that as originally posted, there is a sequel. - Phantom Bard Aug 3rd, 2004 |
Oh god, I really laughed tears. I think Moocher is the coolest person in the world. Anyway this is really a great story and it feels authentic because of the lively characterization. Well done, Zuke! - lectra Aug 3rd, 2004 |
I think it's a very good story, when does part 4 come? I need to read it! - H Aug 3rd, 2004 |
WOW!!!!!!!!! I love this authour. the entire series was wonderful and it reached perfection with this last installment. the ending was a wonderful twist that brought tears to my eyes. to make you think one thing, and reveal the happy ending was genious! Alex tryst knws how to write a real story with believable characters that go through everyday problems and are flawed just like everyone else. She makes you care about these women and their familes and have you rooting for them to make it. love is eternal, and this series shows that with startling realism. Bravo! you are truly a gifted writer. - peaches Aug 2nd, 2004 |
This was such a good story. I love how the girls have developed both as individuals and a couple. I love seeing a deeper side of Lara something you never get to see on the screen or of course in the games. It makes me want to know more. We have so few heros now and we need Lara and Sara more then ever. - casandra Aug 2nd, 2004 |
Y'know..the more of your stories I read, the more I like your writing abilities. The way you can have something totally different for each story...well that ability does and continues to surprise me to no end. I'd repeat this comment for each of your stories that I've read, but you might get irritated with the repetition. - Jules Aug 1st, 2004 |
Xena and Gabrielle are immortal in this really cool story that covers lots of ground, including the present political situation, and it left me feeling quite hopeful. Everyone should read it! - KrisM Jul 31st, 2004 |
This story is erotic, sensual and romantic. I’m sure we all have that “headmistress” we wish we could have experienced these things with...at least I know I do :) I highly recommend this story! - Laura Jul 31st, 2004 |
Excellent! I was so crushed that it was over. Great story, moving characters and one red hot love scene. More..more..more.. - Califa Jul 30th, 2004 |
I really like this story, although it has violence in it, it's not too graphic. The two characters Anpo and Ketlin are really cute together. There are detailed descriptions but they are not annoying but really informative. - lectra Jul 30th, 2004 |
love it, love it, love it. this is one of my favorite uber stories. it's just everything. you feel the chemistry and the story develops with every word. i couldn't stop reading. do not miss the sequels! - lectra Jul 30th, 2004 |
I loved Randy and Brittany. The two woman go through so much for each other you can't help but be enchanted with them. Randy is always surprising you and Brittany brings out every bit of tenderness from her. Great read! - Tyler Jul 30th, 2004 |
It is amazing how I really care about Veba and Rickie. I think that this was such a fantastic series because I have never read a Uber where every day the charachter who is the Xena-Uber looks in wonder at everything around her. Its just mind blowing yet you beleive it and pull for her in every sitation. Very well done. - Anonymous Jul 28th, 2004 |
It ROCKS..;-) Please, don't wait too long for updates, I must get some sleep somehow... - Patty Jul 27th, 2004 |
Great story! A PWP, only better. Characters were wonderfully done. I can see a future for these two, but will finding love change the essence of who they are? That's what I want to know, Alex. More please! - Anonymous Jul 27th, 2004 |
Kudos! This was a great summer read, I hope to see more from this author. Very well done. - Carrie Jul 27th, 2004 |
I Loved this story!!!! I think Hilda is just so charming and sweet. I can't stop thinking about all the directions the writer could take with this lovely android. Will there be more? Please? - Tara Jul 27th, 2004 |
Gardner is one of the best writers I came across in the X(Uber)verse. Just finished reading this -once again- beautiful written, but rather disturbing story. I spend a whole afternoon reading instead of going out in the sunshine; couldn't stop. Searching for a story you won't forget very soon? Stop here and start on this one. - Renee (Netherlands) Jul 26th, 2004 |
Cephalgia and MJ are both very good authors in their own right, but when they collaborate...WOW..they manage to kick the writing up a couple of notches! America meets Britain in a very entertaining and bittersweet story. The cultural differences add some spice and humor which balances the seriousness and sadness of the main theme. This is absolutely an excellent story and a must read! - Renee Jul 25th, 2004 |
Just finished this story and I really liked it a lot. It was very different from the old movie but you could see the inspiration. - Anonymous Jul 25th, 2004 |
WOW! A couple more Ladies and a suspenseful story! Sam and Cricket, sounds like they are in for some very interesting and exciting situations. It sounds like this story and its characters will be interesting and exciting to follow! Nice writing on this story so far Debbie! :) Now my only question is: When will the next Parts be done? This truly has potential to be one, of the best stories. Hope there's more to follow soon, I'll be waiting to read more!! - Kathy Jul 23rd, 2004 |
I love this story! It is so romantic and sweet! And the sequel "Honey,Honey...Be My Valentine!" is awesome! Really great job Fiur and Vlamme! Keep going!!! - Diane Jul 23rd, 2004 |
Absolutely fabulous story and a must read. Hope there is a follow-up. - Claire Jul 21st, 2004 |
Excellent read! Well paced and the character's are skillfully wrought. - Anonymous Jul 21st, 2004 |
Brilliant. Excellent. Fantastic. Some of the best I´ve read, now I just wait for "the end." - lakey Jul 21st, 2004 |
If the measure of a good story is making the reader feel something, then this is a GREAT story. There is so much raw emotion - pain, angst, love, passion - the words and characters will stay with me for a very long time. Without question it is my favorite book. It's not a typical girl-meets-girl and lives happily ever after with riches and glee. It's so real with genuine problems and joys that it is hard to remember these women don't exist as our neighbors and friends. Then again, maybe they do. This is a phenomenal story. It holds something for everyone from every walk of life. - Anonymous Jul 21st, 2004 |
Holy Cow! Hot doesn't even begin to describe this adventure. With a big blush, I will confess to having read this several times. It gets better each time. Here's a story that takes secret fantasies and brings them to life on the page in splendid detail. I can't wait to see what Charlie and Terri will discover next. All I can say is - Wow Di, Wow. - Anonymous Jul 21st, 2004 |
This is the kind of story that will keep DS Bauden on bookshelves for years to come. It has emotion, passion, mystery, suspense, revenge - good girls, bad girls - everything you could want. It's very well written and the revised edition shows great attention to detail in developing these characters. Di has done a wonderful job of making Sydney more Australian. She's made the story significantly longer and the added material makes the story more complete. In all honesty, the revisions Di has made to this story have turned Nurturing Souls from my least favorite of her books to one I will now eagerly and wholeheartedly recommend. - Anonymous Jul 21st, 2004 |
This is a truly fantastic story...well written.....had me hooked from the very first chapter..........kept me on the edge of my seat.......hasn't disappointed me yet...can't wait for more....... - Christi Jul 20th, 2004 |
[This Comment contains spoilers.] This is simply a wonderful story. For once a beautiful vampire/Goddess story that has a happy ending. Too many end tragically. I would love to read more of these characters. Beautiful work Phantom Bard! - Laura Jul 20th, 2004 |
[This Comment contains spoilers.] I have been reading this story from almost the beginning and I say, well done, and in very good taste too. This story has kept my interest from the beginning and to now the End, which makes me fell sad in one way and Happy in the next. For one, I don't think we have heard the last of Lauren and Ash. I see and feel a sequel on the horizon. :) I feel what lead up to the ending and how Ash displayed her love for Lauren was just Ash, being Ash, and shows just how two people can really be truly in love. Then again beyond that, I can see how the sequel can begin to develop. Great Job DE, this story deserves to be published!! I will be waiting to read more of your stories. :) - Kathy Jul 19th, 2004 |
This story is WOW phew!! if you know what I mean, absolutely excellent. You do not want to read THIS at work. Don't run out of Ice. Rrrrrrrr - Ravenirish Jul 19th, 2004 |
Sometimes it really pays to wait until a story is finished - even if the wait seems rather long. After re-reading the first two Conqueror stories of LJMaas during the week, I just spent the most enjoyable (and sometimes rather hot) weekend since (almost) forever reading TFH. I'm really looking forward to the sequel. THis story simply is a MUST read!!!! - romansilence Jul 19th, 2004 |
The "Day in the Life" of uber fanfic. Probably the yardstick by which all other comedy ubers should be measured. I'm not kidding!! - Charlotte Jul 19th, 2004 |
Very nice. It's a pleasant read, even without snow. Hope there's more - Dan Jul 18th, 2004 |
This has been an amazing adventure/love story and worthy of anyone taking time to read it. The characters are very human and easy to relate to although I have to wonder what black cloud sometimes hangs over them. I want to thank the author for giving us an incredible journey into the life of her characters. They will live forever in my mind. - Shadylady Jul 16th, 2004 |
A lovely story - excellent characterisation and wonderful, almost-addictive relationship development. A real 'page-turner'. - Charlotte Jul 14th, 2004 |
Any chance you might finish the tale? - Anonymous Jul 13th, 2004 |
WOW... After reading this story it was actually hard to start reading anything else as I missed the characters so much. B L Miller brings the characters alive and you live with them through their heardships and better times. Wonderful, touching story that I did not stop reading (literally, I stayed up all night and till the next morning just reading the story.) Kudos! - Kat Jul 12th, 2004 |
I've read all of Kim's stories, and this one is by far her best. The characters are wonderful and well written. This is one of the most heart warming stories I've ever read, and I recommend it to all. - Renee Jul 11th, 2004 |
Wow. This had to be the best uber story I've ever read. It was captivating, interesting, had all the right elements to make it a fantastic read. I stumbled upon it and am so glad I did! The characters were so realistic and great, and the mature scenes were written with taste and compelling beyond any I've read. What an awesome writer! - Lana Jul 11th, 2004 |
Great story DE Salsbury. I have waited a while to read the entire story at one sitting (well okay, it took me more than a day because of other, unwelcome, intrusions) but it is an enjoyable, well put together story with enough excitement to keep me reading and enough tender moments to give myself an easier pace. I eagerly await part 2 - letterwolf Jul 11th, 2004 |
What a wonderful, heartwrenching story; it really got me by the throath. One to read again some day. - Renee - The Netherlands Jul 10th, 2004 |
I enjoyed reading this story. I love vampire stories and wish there were more of them in the Xena fan fiction world. I do wish it would have ended differently though, but hell, I'm a romantic, so I would think that :) - Laura Jul 9th, 2004 |
Boy, could I relate to this one. I felt just like Xena did and I really needed a Gabrielle. But oh no, there was no one to help me. She is such a lucky warrior! - Catie Jul 9th, 2004 |
This is perhaps one of the most interesting stories I've ever had the pleasure to read. It kept me intrigued throughout the entire plot. The end is truly worthy of a Rod Serling Twilight Zone story. I believe this is a must read for any sci-fi, suspense thriller. - Crystal Michallet-Romero  Jul 8th, 2004 |
We meet Morien and Striker who will fall in love as will the readers with these two opposites. Guess which is tall & blue eyed! A story that is kind of sweet, but has danger, flight, bad guys, mystery all entwined with a soulmate love tale with some pitfalls. Dialogue is really good and descriptions of places, feelings and actions are so full of depth that you feel like a part of it. Hated to see it end & hope Devize writes a sequel. I miss Morien & Striker. - Sandy Jul 7th, 2004 |
Excellent!! This is THE most outstanding series by which all others should emulate. Fantastic, run to it and enjoy! - Anonymous Jul 7th, 2004 |
I just finished reading your story; man it was great. Hope to see more and soon - Anonymous Jul 6th, 2004 |
I've read this story five or more times now. Each time I read it, I find something new. It is beautifully written and thought provoking. Ms. Azel, thank you for sharing your gift. - Annette Jul 6th, 2004 |
Original!!! Truly cannot wait for more. - Anonymous Jul 5th, 2004 |

Please please please someone badger Dreams for a sequel! This is an exquisite story, the characters are so real, everyone should run, not walk to read this if you haven't yet! - polar Jul 5th, 2004 |
Lovely story with totally convincing characters. - Anonymous Jul 4th, 2004 |
I wanted to simply say that I have read and enjoyed every single piece of literature that has been posted here. My personal favorite is Emotional Paralysis. It touches me deeply, so thank you. I hope that you will continue to share with us your wonderful talent and once again thank you!!!!!! - Tina Jul 4th, 2004 |
LMAO!! Makes me want to go to the grocery. Good job. This was a great tale. - Anonymous Jul 3rd, 2004 |
Fun story to read. Would love to see more uber fic set during the 1920s. - Anonymous Jul 3rd, 2004 |
Wow was it great to see these ladies back! It was wonderful to spend time with four of my favorite characters. I'll really miss these ladies but look forward to what ever further adventures this bard will take me on. It was a great final look into the lives of Sam, Riley, Kim and Jess and a well written story.. I highly recommend it. - Donna Jul 3rd, 2004 |
A really great story! - happy Jul 3rd, 2004 |
I've just finished to read the story... it's great! a terrific job. this got the potential to be one of the best series ever! I can't wait to read the next stories... please hurry!!! - laura, Italy Jul 2nd, 2004 |
Morgan and Kathryn captivate the audience as they learn to live, love, and struggle through the obstacles life throws their way. The characterizations in this story are spot on, you can't help but fall in love with both women. Megan and Tracey while minor characters to be sure, also come to life and make you care for them deeply as well. I truly wanted to hate Megan when she appeared, but the author writes her in such a way that you know the pain she and Morgan went through make them better people. Little Mac weaves a plot that is both belivable and incredible at the same time. Moving you along on a tidal wave of emotion. I can't believe these books aren't published in the mainstream world! - Anonymous Jul 1st, 2004 |
This is a great story! I can't find the right words to phrase it, except excellent! - Anonymous Jun 30th, 2004 |
I realy like your story. It is very good, but I realy hope you will write a continuation. - BardAries Jun 30th, 2004 |
