This was a fantastic story. It was very well written and it had me until the very end. The characterization was great. I have to say though, I couldn't stand Paige. I think she was a bit of a lousy friend. Sort of reminded me of the phrase 'misery loves company' at times. Once again though, great story. - Anonymous May 25th, 2003 Loved this story.I thought the characters were very well rounded, but I couldn't find part 8 to finish reading it.Any suggestions? - jbamazon Jan 13th, 2003 Wow! This story is wonderful!!!! The characters Terri, a teenage and Sarah, a more old sophisticated and sexy woman, have a relationship tumultuous, hot, passionate, to writer with rare talent and preciosity. | For the past two weeks, Branson Mahoney had been trying to catch the person who had been destroying equipment, materials and causing her building project to come to a screeching halt. Now with the backers breathing down her neck and her employees ready to quit, she took it into her own hands to find the culprit. Callaway J. Kuhrt made her way towards the trailer to make sure that no one was sleeping inside. Over the past two weeks, she had watched from a distance and then come into the site under the cover of darkness. What will happen these two finally met up? They will change each other forever, and teach everyone a thing or two about about what women can do. ;-) A fun and infirmative read! |
| This is a beautifully written poignantly sad alternative tale of love that will strike a cord and leave an imprint in each person that reads it. Have plenty of tissues handy... |
A short ditty about a train ride that turns out to be more than Katrina bargained for. The intensity of two strangers who have not even officially met, flares into a passion of desires both need to quench.

Love Jamie and Casey. DD you did a great job on bring these two alive for us all. The way you had all the excitment and energy was awesome. A well written story and hope you do more!! - T. Stratton Sep 13th, 2003 Well DD I love what you wrote! I look forward to more. You grab the reader attention right off the bat. You keep the reader wanting more. When Morigan takes flight in her firebird and lands in a muddy cornfield, a Good Samaritan comes along and calls the nearest towing service. When the flatbed shows up to retrieve her car, she is thrown into a completely different world. Her world changes more when she finds out that the garage that will be fixing her car is owned and run by a group of very weird women. The head mechanic Mike, turns out to be a six foot of blue-eyed woman that steals her breath away.
|
Mike, Morigan, Drake, and Stacey, all the "Gear Heads" we've come to know and love, are back in this hilarious sequel, revolving around Drake's black-sheep cousin Jack, her partner Oink, and a mysterious ring of stolen cars. Jack soon becomes one of the gang, moving in lock, stock and pint-sized guard dog, Jessica, who attaches herself to the leg of anyone who's insensitive enough to take issue with her size. It appears everyone has a secret, this time around, but, remember, jumping to conclusions can be counter-productive, in Larisa's world, so, just sit, back, laugh hysterically, eat some blue food, and enjoy the ride!
I think the idea for the story was really good, but it needed some grammatical work big time. There were tons of run on sentences and the words 'I seen...' were used throughout instead of 'I saw...'. I don't mean to sound rude, but it made the characters sound dumb. Also, many times you couldn't tell where one scene ended and another began. Some sort of page break would have been very helpful. Again, it was a good idea for a story, but all the grammer problems made it a bad read. - Anonymous May 5th, 2003 |
This, the sequel to 'Home Fires,' takes the original uber girls to a new level of domesticity, living in a brownstone in Georgetown in January of 1941. Janice rubs elbows with FDR, while Mel works as an assistant professor of "somethin' or other" at the university. However, all is not beer and skittles...read on.
Bocce Balls, Batman! I went in search of this story on the recommendation of a friend. Seven chapters into it I am salivating for more of this rich, passionate and literate work. If you haven't read what there is of this story, you are missing something my friends! - HeavyB Jan 28th, 2003 Ditto! You need asbestos gloves to handle Chap. 6! The bard is a relatively new find for me and whatta treasure. More, bard! More! - M&JFan4ever Jan 24th, 2003 This bard, in my opinion, is on a par with the Great Vivian Darkbloom, and that is saying something. The first seven chapters of this story ring with originality and wit, and Chapter 6? well, Chapter 6 smokes! My one negative comment might be the lack of a recent update. - SuzieQ Jan 23rd, 2003 |
Wicked cool story, check it out if you crave characters with originality and comic pranks and banter. Has the feel of something Larisa might write and well...who doesn't like Larisa? - Stephanie Apr 24th, 2003 |
Here's a sweet tale of discovery and love that's sure to make you smile!
Haven't we all been insecure when we are faced with new love. Shadylady has captured the doubt and indecision all of us have felt at one time or another. What a refreshing love story. - enchantress Sep 17th, 2003 It's been a long time since I've read such a sweet, beautiful story...Any and every romantic should make sure they don't miss out on this wonderfully written piece. Can't wait for more... - Dimples Sep 13th, 2003 Great Story as always....I'll be looking for a follow-up on them in the future. Hope its happy endings to all..... - Deranged ButterCup Sep 12th, 2003 |
| Here's an alternative X&G story, though there is a hint of Uber as well. Also, it's a post AFIN (Friend In Need) story that's a bit on the unusual side. |

In this romantic Uber, Rosie had only been at the job for a very short time and she was doing well as junior in accountant in the prestigious accounting firm. In prior positions she always fit in easily with most of the staff. This time she felt so alone. It was getting to be a desperate situation and Rosie really had no idea how to handle it any more. In steps a tall, dark-haired stanger with warm blue eyes whom she meets at Starbucks, who just happens to be the one person that could help.
I started this story just because I wanted a sweet love story. It is but I was caught up in the twists and surprises too. I loved the charachters and felt very much a part of the action. I was really charmed by this tale. - Yvette Mar 11th, 2003 I love this story. It seems to go one way and then all of the sudden it goes another. I also adored the two main charachters. It gave me what I wanted a wonderful way to relax after a hard days work. Thanks Ri - Janet Jan 15th, 2003 this was such a lovely romantic story. I love how sweet the charachters are and I couldn't wait to find out how the story ended. It was such fun ending I hope Ri writes more of it - Pip Sep 27th, 2002 |
| This was done for a Bard Challenge, and features sand, surf, angst, nasty rivals and our favorite Uber duo finding each other after some trials. This is one to experience! |
Wonderful story, very moving. I will definitely read this again. - Jen Jan 15th, 2003 Excellent read. A powerful story, the emotions jump right off the page. I thought it was wonderful. - Anonymous Jan 14th, 2003 My second posted reading of the day, and just as nice as the first. This piece has emotion and depth. I loved the line "Burning her image into her mind to hold onto for a lifetime." What a thought. Good read. - Constance D. Jan 9th, 2003 This was very good. Well written, emotionally powerful. An all around great read. I highly recommend this to everyone. - Cheryl Jan 8th, 2003 This is a short story that is everything I've come to expect from this bard. It's packed with emotion and action. It's a story that draws you in and doesn't let you go until the end. Personally I didn't want it to end. This is a must read. - Tara Jan 4th, 2003 Wow. An Amazing story. I admit to not recognizing the author, so I read because it was new and short (less than 50 pages). I was greatly surprised and wonderfully amazed at the depth and care, and the wonder the story created. Two memorable characters on both heaven and earth. I highly recommend this. - Lisa Jan 4th, 2003 |
Tall, blue-eyed Largo Coogan, was having her first weekend off in weeks and she planned on spending it fishing at the Shenandoah River. Little did she know that she would run into Garrison Dexter...both literally and figurately. The little blonde would turn her world upside down and then some.
Sometimes fate has to hit you between the eyes to get your attention. Garrison Dexter and Largo Coogan certainly find this to be the case in this hilarious Larisa tale. Add to that a crazy cousin complete with the voices in her head and costumes to match, and some rather unorthodox breast enhancements, and you have another winner!!! You go, Larisa!!! - Michelle Jun 23rd, 2003 |
| This is a rewrite of "Getting to Know You" and a sequel to "Assignment Sunrise" a rewrite of 'Strangers Until We Meet.' Detective Alex Adison and the reclusive writer Elizabeth Duke have settled in as a new committed couple in Sunrise; however, unfinished personal issues and business make it difficult to focus on their fledgling relationship. While Alex gets bogged down in ferreting out the reason for the increased vandalism and graffiti in their small town, she also worries about her lack of a relationship with Elizabeth. Elizabeth finds Alex's job taking her away too much for them to explore their relationship to the next stage, and finds an outlet for her need to have a meaningful relationship, with geese, a dog, a mama cat and kittens. Soon though, the two will have to work out their reluctance to be intimate on a consistent basis. |
Here's a sweet tale of love and friendship rediscovered, and all by the grace of the gods and a second generation of an angelic, green-eyed blonde and her blue-eyed lonely dark haired new friend.
This story was wonderful. A splendid combination of loving warmth and incandescant heat. I look forward to more (a story, it can be a small one, about Angel and Ellie, the younger(s), would be great.) Thanks for the wonderful bit of prose. - Nyc Mar 7th, 2003 I loved this story the first time I read it. Reading it again was a delight. I always look forward to this bard's work...when will we get more?? - Lisa Jan 7th, 2003 |

Words can't do justice on how great this story was. One hell of a tale here. - Lar Mar 4th, 2003 All I can say is! "Awesome!" - GabBard Feb 13th, 2003 Was looking at the top 25 and this caught my eye too. The story had me from start to end on one powerful ride. Even though it was in a different verse, it still felt like Gabrielle and Xena and was interesting to see roles reversed and how they both handled it. Great story and will read again and again. This is one to save to your harddrive. - Jenny Feb 12th, 2003 Best kick a** Conqueror! - KT Feb 8th, 2003 This comment contains spoilers. It took me a few days to complete this story. I must say it's original in several ways. It had me going 'oh my' in many areas. For instance, when the battle was over and you expect the cliche-ish 'battle lust' it was refreshing to see Gabrielle reading poetry and looking into the night air. This was addictive to read. One thing that was lacking I felt was the ending. That was not in sync with the rest of the tale, but I still recommend this story very much. Calli's cover was outstanding. C.B. - Carrie Feb 4th, 2003 This comment contains spoilers. My disliking for Conqueror's was great. Same ole same ole. Until a friend said I should read this one. Totally different in many ways. Even though Gabrielle was the Conqueror it still felt like the bard and it was nice to see Xena more human. Very good and I highly recommend this story. - Kathy Feb 3rd, 2003 This comment contains spoilers. This is one of the absolute best of the Conqueror stories that I've read. The freshness comes from Gabrielle being the conqueror in charge. Watching her do everything that Xena did in her conquering days, but doing them better, well, that just proves once again that thinking before acting, gets you more :) Seeing all of the familiar faces of the Xenaverse pop up, brought a wave of nostalgia through me while reading this tale. I highly recommend this story! - Di Bauden Feb 1st, 2003 This comment contains spoilers. This was one wild read. Have Gabrielle being the Conqueror and Xena trying to find a way to bring her back? Wow. It's nice to have many familiar faces in this story too. Read it and couldn't stop until now 1am. Should put spoiler saying you'll not stop reading until finished. - jeni Jan 31st, 2003 This comment contains spoilers. I really enjoyed the twist in this Conqueror story..Having Gabrielle be the conqueror and having Xena trying to get through to her was fabulous,It makes me wish that TPTB had come up with this idea for an episode..it would have rocked! Keep up the good work Bards.. ;) - jbamazon Jan 29th, 2003 The is a wickly killer story! Had me from beginning to end! Diane - diane Jan 27th, 2003 I've read nearly every Conqueror out there and this one is 'the' best. It's not like all the rest which was refreshing to read. Thanks to the bards who wrote it. - Anonymous Jan 27th, 2003 |
When beautiful Film Production Co Publicist's, Jace agrees to a New Zealand assignment, she never dreamed she would fall in love with the recluse Catherine Warriorson. Struggles, jealousies, intrigues follow, but love wins out in the end.
Beautiful, just beautiful. Great story. - Jim Dec 30th, 2002 This series is the best Dragonjules has written. Excellent job. - Anonymous Dec 26th, 2002 |
Be prepared to bust a gut laughing! This is an irreverent X:WP/Voyager crossover parody that is not for the faint of heart! Jack and Oink and the rest of the Wrecking Crew are loose on a starship...holodecks and all!
Larisa has outdone herself once again!!! And, our webmistresses were right on about the spew warning!!! Every other line holds at least a giggle and most hold outright guffaws!!! Imagine Jack and Oink and the rest of Larisa's wrecking crew loose on a starship...holodecks and all...Woo-hoo!!! We're having some fun now!!! Thanks, Larisa...I needed that tonight!!! - Michelle Mar 8th, 2003 |
Before I actually let you all know how wonderfully written this Mel and Janice story is, I would like to point out that this bard is actually KG MacGregor not KC MacGregor. This is the same KG MacGregor that gave us the fantastic Alternative Uber stories Shaken the sequal Stirred and part 3 Strained. These are some of the best written fan fiction stories on the internet bar none. I would recommend this bard for whatever story she wishes to grace our Universe with, but I hope the little name typo can get fixed so that people will know that Ms. MacGregor has other great stories for everyone to sink their teeth into. I would read the phone book if KG MacGregor was the author of it. I give this Bard and all of her incredibly well written stories a 10 star rating! - Maria Dec 3rd, 2002 Really loved this new Mel and Janice story - ALOT! KG nailed the characterizations, and there was a terrific slant to this story which I don't recall being brought up in other M/J FF. And who can fault a story with Amazons in it? KG showing her stuff quite well outside of the Uber world, and I welcome the momentary change. Great job! - Anonymous Dec 3rd, 2002 |
This is a mature subject matter story about love and acceptance.

Get ready to meet Memphis Belle and Luka and go Cajun in this tasty tale by the Mistress of Maybem and Weird Relatives! You will re-write what you know about vampires and roll on the floor laughing in this very funny and sometimes violent gem set in Mardi Gras country, where romance...ahh...Sprouts, and the characters are out of this world...literally! ;-)
MDeBeers - MDeBeers Oct 5th, 2003 KILLER STORY REALLY. I JUST ABOUT BUST A GUT DO I HEAR A PART TWO? - TMc Aug 3rd, 2003 You call this Drama??? I almost killed my computer cause I was drinking Coke while reading ... DON'T DO THAT!!! KEEP LIQUID AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER WHILE READING DAY WALKER!! ... just some advise ;) This one is just too damn funny ... I love it!! Keep it up Larisa, you're the best!!!!!!!!! - Bacchus Jul 19th, 2003 MY GOD!.... this has to be the funniest, most riveting uber story I've read in a while! Luka and Memphis were superbly fleshed out, and Sprout... oh my.... I am just not gonna comment! AMAZING!!!!!! - Katelin B Mar 2nd, 2003 I loved this story!!!!! Larisa is one of the best uber writers out there in my opinion. I can't wait for more about Luka and Memphis(and Sprout too!) Please give us more Day Walker! - Jbamazon Dec 18th, 2002 I absolutely do not read Vampire stories. This story though is so wonderful that I loved every word. The charachters are sweet and funny and I loved every moment of it. I almost forgot that I was reading a vampire story I was having so much fun. Great Job Kiddo!!!!! - Ri Dec 18th, 2002 I stayed up reeeeal late one night reading this, and it was sooo worth it! This is a fabulous story! I don't know which I found more enchanting... Sprout or Mama. Larisa has outdone herself with this one. I loved it! Thanks for the laughs. - Taleweaver Dec 16th, 2002 Are you afraid of vampires?...well don't be with Fang and friends around. Another HIT from Larisa. I'm still laughing and very warm with this latest installment. Read it and you'll see why. Loved it! - NLW Dec 12th, 2002 Good God, i havent laughed so hard (or needed a bucket of ice soo badly) in a LONG time! This is a great story! both for the plot and the nutso characters! - Wind Dec 10th, 2002 I've come to the conclusion that Larisa should be certified as a nut case. She has the strangest characters in her stories and IT WORKS! I love the little ones Sprout and Lia! She may have been MIA for a while but she came back with a WINNER! I laughed until I couldn't breathe, keep up the great work. - Dancer Dec 10th, 2002 One word...Sprout!!! This newest offering from Larisa had my partner rolling on the floor and the dog questioning our sanity we laughed so much. ;-) To the author: Fangs for the memories! (you may gag at that or write another story whichever you choose.) - Kay Dec 5th, 2002 Since Larisa hasn't written in a while, she has definately came out with something worth the wait. A DAMNED good story if I say so myself. One that I actually have read twice. The characters are so funny and every bit as perverted as the ones in her other stories. Good reading and recommend it to anyone who needs a good laugh. Good job Larisa and keep up the good work!! ^_^ - Anonymous Dec 4th, 2002 |
Here's a nice little tale with spice to warm you up about finding a 'knight in shinning' armor, or as another reader put it, a 'protective gentlebutch,' when you really need one. As Amy finds out when Alex comes to her rescue in more ways than one in this inventive and innovative tale by DS Bauden!
Wow!!! Go, DS!!! I have been a proud member of The Baudom for quite sometime now, and am a confirmed, for life, DS Bauden fan, so trust me, when I say, that DS has "topped" herself in this one!!! Sorry, couldn't resist the bad "butch" joke...heh...Anywho, if you enjoy a soft, sexy, gentle butch, stepping in to rescue a sweet lady fair in distress, you'll love this story!!! It touched my heart in ways nothing else I've read, and I've read A LOT, ever has, so thank you DS, from the bottom of my li'l ole "bottom" heart!!! Heh!!! Oh yes, and I, too, would like another, please, ma'am!!! - Michelle Apr 1st, 2003 As usual, an exceptional piece written by one of my favorite bards. Ms. Bauden portrays the protective gentlebutch perfectly. Her affection and esteem for butches everywhere is evident. This is a well-written, sexy, touching story. I sincerely hope D.S writes a sequel. These are great characters and I would love to see more of them. Fantastic work! I recommend highly. - S. Lee Mar 31st, 2003 |
In this sequel to 'The Ghost,' Veba continues to improve her developmental progress as her relationship with Rickie continues to blossom. While helping out a client, Rickie gets in over her head and it's up to Veba's incredible reflexes to save the day.
This comment contains spoilers. I think its fantastic to watch Veba become more her self and Rickie guiding her in her own gentle way. Its fun to see what Veba reads but the part that really got to me was when Rickie got hurt and how Veba reacted that was amazing!!!! - Anonymous Aug 29th, 2003 I loved this sequel but it made me hungry for more. I loved watching Veba grow and learn. I can't wait to read the next installment to find out what happend next. Um, when are you posting it Ri? - Tani Jul 18th, 2003 This was very well done because you can see Veba grow but she didn't get a miracle cure and speak like she wanted right away. Ri even had a part where she went backwards. Also it was nice to watch how much of a family the three women became in this next part. I love it. Thank you. - Monti Apr 22nd, 2003 What a wonderful sequel, I love watching Veba grow and Rickie is wonderful and warm. Its a very special love story. - Gracie Mar 7th, 2003 It was soooo great to read about Rickie and Veba. I am just so drawn to Veba, its a great sequel I hope Ri writes more. - Niki Jan 31st, 2003 |
Detective Xepher Sallano, trying to solve what appear to be serial murders, keeps running into dead ends...literally. Then the Medical Examiner dies in the midst of the inverstigation, and his replacement is makes Sallano see red. It's hate at first sight for Chief Medical Examiner Brianna Meadows, too. Or is it? As the murders get more gruesome, Detective and ME find themselves involved...in more ways than one. This is another of Larisas' gripping tales with unconventional characters, laughs, love and gore, that will keep you spellbound.
Xepher? Guess those "X" names are kinda hard to come by, huh? |
Jocelyn O'Shannon, Social Services, has just transferred from New York to D.C., where she's hoping to do more good. Surprising her assistant, she's a hands-on supervison and goes along to lend a hand at the soup kitchen as soon as she's been by the office. It's there that her steely blue eyes meet warm green eyes that will set her on a path she never thought she'd be on. Another winner by Larisa!

Very sweet story. I really enjoyed it, great work! - Melissa May 26th, 2003 Very nice, sweet story. - Sara May 21st, 2003 A nice story .Would have been better with a little sex. - Anonymous May 21st, 2003 |
| In the year 1868, a time known for most Americans' fierce prejudices against all people not of the same heritage, a circumstance of pure chance brings a white woman and an Indian woman together. She is called Blue Fire; an apache warrior destined to somehow make a difference for her tribe. Everything tells her not to trust the white that has taken her in, and yet her heart gives her no other choice. Often torn between the ways of the white man and the ways of her ancestors, she struggles to satisfy both the calling of her soul and the calling of her people. A strong warrior, stubborn and proud, loyal to those she deems friends, nothing but danger to those who would dare cross her…this is her story. |
Love the twists and turns Alex weaves throughout all her stories - yep you guessed it since reading this one have read all her works, each and every one written in her very readable, entertaining style. Cannot wait for the next one. - Anonymous May 23rd, 2003 I found this to be right up there with the best of the top stories. I liked that the writer didn't stay in what we consider normal range of writing and love. I found it refreshing to find love no matter the age difference. You will find this a good read if you will only open yourself up to the possibilities offered. - Claudia Henry Jan 7th, 2003 This book is alluring within the scope of fiction and yet potentially perverse in terms of reality. The author not only "borrows" the name of one of the characters from Vladimir Nabokov's "Lolita", she seems to have "borrowed" the story as well. However unlike the classic novel, it is difficult as best to find fault with our older main character, Drew, who is such an ethical, caring person in all other facets of her life that it is hard to detest her for her choices throughout the piece. There is also a magnetism of the younger character, Lola, that captures you from almost the beginning. She is cunning and sensuous for a woman/child her age. I find that the anger and frustration people (and my own) may feel about this piece is not aimed at the book itself but rather their own reaction to it, because it tests the foundations of one's beliefs. What is right and what is wrong is not as clearly defined in this piece as some may like. It pushes the envelope so to speak, because in a way you want the main characters to find love in each other, and yet the idea of two people with such an age difference being in a relationship is tough to accept. This is a must read even if it merely to see an unusual and twisted plot unfold. - Anonymous Jan 3rd, 2003 |
I can't say enough about this story. It was excelent. I found it hard to put down.It was a very good read. I'm going to read another story by the same bard.If I had to rate this story on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 10 plus.Loved it, Loved it, loved it !!!! - Lilly Dec 11th, 2002 Excellent story and charactors. Very well written and keeps you reading. One for a sunday afternoon highly recommended not to be missed. - Daydreams Nov 23rd, 2002 |

| A St. Patty's tale to tickle your fancy! |
New York attorney Blake Erwin journeys to Georgia to settle her late great aunt's estate. There she meets the hometown beauty queen with whom she becomes friends. However is the little blonde all she seems? Mayhem ensues when the small woman's husband, her father, and the Ku Klux Klan decide the attorney is a little too close to their most prized commodity. Will Blake survive Georgia and make it back to New York? Appearances from the cast of "Love in Photographs" included.
Love in photographs was my favourite story, until this little gem came along. Alex Tryst has certainly a talented way with words, love the way she develops a plot, throws some rather unexpected twists and turns to the reader, never mind the, will they, won't they in her stories. A fine piece of work, very skilled in its attempt to portray the southern accent, that I am glad to say works well. Cannot wait to read her new story, just posted - Stick to the Script. A Must Read. - Del Jun 6th, 2003 I adored this piece! It was a super "unofficial" sequel to Love in Photographs. Great characters and a great story line! Good job on the southern accent as well. A must read. - Anonymous Mar 31st, 2003 I just read this the other night. After reading Love in Photographs..I just had to read this one. It left you wanting more hanging on the edge of a cliff wanting to hear more about Georgia and Blake. After Blake is hurt and Torrance takes her picture...that really touched me. Great job to the author on another awesome tale. I hope to read more soon :) - Caden Mar 9th, 2003 This comment contains spoilers. Ms. Tryst seems to get better with every story. This is a pretty good read with a chance to see Torrance (drool) from "Love in Photographs" again. The strip club scene's "climatic" end makes this story worth the price of admittance. - Kaye Mar 6th, 2003 "Love in Photographs" was my favorite story from this author, but now I have a new one! I absolutely adored the way the new characters were blended with the ones from "Love in Photographs". Readers get a chance to see new relationships develop while enjoying some old favorites! A must read for any fan of Alex Tryst! She's right though in her disclaimer in my opinion. Would be best enjoyed after reading "Love in Photographs" first. - Anonymous Mar 5th, 2003 |
"Every cloud has a sliver lining," or so the saying goes. Lady Rhapsody J. Beaumont is about to test that theory! After disembarking from her Mercedes sports car, in front of the racing stables her late brother, Roger, left her, she immediately finds a pile of muck pillowing one of her expensive Italian pumps, definitely starting her undertaking off on the wrong foot, in more ways than one. Add in the surly antice of her uncommunicative groom, Ray Rawlings, fondly known as Piglet by the stable manager, Salvatore, and Rhapsody's clouds seem never ending. However, as in most of Larisa's tales, things are not merely what they seem, and Rhapsody discovers a whole new world as she allows herself to open up to the new possibilites surrounding her. Queens, Kiwis, barristers, FBI Agents, saboteurs, crazies, inmates, would-be assasins, and, of course, a goat, all conspire to fill this tale with intrigue, romance and absolutely hilarious antics that will have you guffawing, while perched on the edge of your seat to see how it all turns out. Bravo, Larisa! You've done it, again!

Two worlds are about to collide. Will the outcome be nothing more than a learning experience or will it alter both lives forever? Anything is possible.

What is the price of fame? For television news anchor and overnight national phenomenon Katherine Kyle the cost just might be everything. For Time magazine reporter Jamison Parker, the price could be the other half of her soul. Follow Kate and Jay as their lives intertwine, leading them on a journey to love and happiness, until fate and fame threaten to tear them apart.

Engaging characters, very romantic and pretty interesting twists. Look forward to the sequels. Take care. - Emi Sep 4th, 2003 What a wonderful story Lynn Ames has shared with us. The characters of Kate and Jay are so well drawn you feel you know them. This is a great romantic tale that sweeps you along for an amazing ride. I couldn't stop reading. - EG Sep 4th, 2003 This was an absolute great story. Once I started I couldn't stop reading it. Because I'm a hopeless romantic, this story was right up my alley. To have your own hero is a wonderful thing. - Joy Sep 4th, 2003 This was a fantastic story. I was almost late to work, because I could not stop reading it. Lynn Ames offers a well written tale with wonderfully fleshed out characters. You will wish they were your friends. Kate and Jay are the cutest couple to come along in a while. I recommend this story to anyone looking for romance, angst, action, and just a good story to read. - Toni Sep 4th, 2003 Have you ever read a story that you could not put down. Well this one is one of those. I loved every minute of it and will reread it again, but next time I will make sure I start early enough. Kate and Jay are great for one another and when you read it you will see the connection. I cannot wait to read more from this bard. FANTASTIC!! - T. Stratton Sep 3rd, 2003 Enjoyed the story. Must be hard to try to live a normal life in the public eye. Kate and Jay are compelling characters. I epecially enjoyed Fred-can he come over to play? - Kate Lee Sep 3rd, 2003 The Price of Fame is a poignant page-turner that kept me up all night reading! Kate & Jay are well-developed, real life characters with whom I fell madly in love. The plot has many twists and turns and the author clearly knows how to spin a yarn. I can't wait for the sequel!! - Anonymous Sep 3rd, 2003 |
I'm glad to see that a wonderful author has been added to your reviews page. C.E Gray is by far my favorite author, and I'm always glad when she posts new material. Spin The Bottle is probably my favorite peice of work by C.E. and that's because I can relate to the two characters. Being high school kids, and me being a senior, it's easy to relate. Thank you to C.E for a wonderful story...:) - Amber Apr 18th, 2002 |
FBI Director Jericho Chamaune has a hobby of trying to solve the cases of missing women dating back ten years of more. One day her assistant director Stan gives her yet another folder of a missing woman. Like several others, she is a college student from Texas. In all the time she has been working the case, they have yet to find any sign of the missing women. When she placed the picture of the latest missing young woman on her wall, she could not tear her eyes away from the green eyes looking back at her. One day a friend working at the nearby hospital calls her. A woman has been found lying beside a road and brought to the emergency room for treatment. At her first sight of the woman's haunted green eyes, Jericho knows that this is the latest missing woman.
I’ve just ‘discovered’ Larisa’s stories. Buried Prejudices was fantastic, and I wan’t more, more, more!!!! - Anonymous Dec 11th, 2002 As with all of Larisa's stories, she grabs your undivided attention at the onset and you find you can't stop until the last sentence has been read. All her stories contain the standard beginning, middle, and end...but in between, they're packed with enough action and romance to make your reading a delighful pleasure. - ~M~ Jun 17th, 2002 I thoroughly enjoyed Buried Prejudices and the rest of your stories. I don't know why I've never read them before, but each new story is like a fine wine - to be savored. - Judy Jun 13th, 2002 |
Sam has been struggling to do a good job as a landlord. Then one day a stranger comes along and changes everything. Sam discovers herself, and Mike discovers that loneliness does not have to be an option.
This was a great piece. I loved it! Great pace for a short story. Well worth the time to read. - Alex Tryst Jun 11th, 2003 Who knew finding the right apartment could change your whole life? For Sam, finding a renter like Mike, who is willing not only to pay first and last month's rent, as well as her security deposit in advance, but also help with the repairs Sam needs to do on the last apartment, was a dream come true. As they get to know one another, Sam begins to wonder what other dreams Mike might make come true. You'll have to read to find out, and believe me, it's well worth your time!!! A tale that has the passion of a PWP and yet an interesting innocense to it. I enjoyed it a lot! - Five Two Jun 6th, 2003 |
This romance novel relates the love story between two professional women in their thirties. Told from both of their perspectives, the book, poignantly and often humorously, conveys the unique character of lesbian relationships. More particularly, the confusion many lesbians experience in attempting to date without becoming enmeshed in the relationship.
I had the pleasure of reading this story in a couple of evenings. Leslaureate created wonderful characters with real and tangible emotions and situations. Alex was suffering with the "coming out of solitude" blues while her friends, Izzy and Ginny set her up with a woman they thought would be good for her. Would Alex commit to the wonderful woman she had in Stacey or would she crumble under the pressures of losing her "freedom"? This is a thoroughly enjoyable read and I recommend it. Good job Leslaureate! - Di Bauden Apr 6th, 2003 I'm definitely recommending this one! Great great storyline. I just finished reading it and it was very well written also. Don't forget to feed the bard! - Katia N. Ruiz Mar 20th, 2003 Not too long not too short with a generous dose of angst. I enjoyed reading this piece - mature protagonists facing an emotional crossroads (I can empathise!) in a segment of complicated courtship. Its an easy read, not demanding but with a little more meat than the average quick fic. Fans of La Tucker, KG McGregor and Ali Vali might like this as a warm-up :) - E. Mar 20th, 2003 |

This story starts out with one of the more intriguing character introductions that I've read in an uber, and the sci fi plot is generally pretty interesting. The interaction between the two main protagonists is also nicely developed. The story would be improved by greatly reducing the gratuitous sexual exploitation and torture. (What's with all the breast slapping, anyway?) - Anonymous Sep 2nd, 2003 Wonderful story, hope that there's a sequel to this work. Made me wish I had my own android. Please write more about DJ and Lexa. - Flamezfan Sep 2nd, 2003 |

I truly love your Billie & Cat serie and hope that this is not the last. I can't wait for the next. The only thing I find a bit of a down-point is the way you jump at the ending. We don't know what happens between them being found and getting beter. It would add even more pages to the story if ya work that out just a little more :) Don't stop writing ... you're way to good!!! - Bacchus Dec 11th, 2003 |

Claire Hudson was on her way to a much needed two week vacation. Camping out where no human voice and the incessant noise that species always insisted on carrying with them was her dream vacation. Dreams are a good thing to hold onto.
alot. The only thing I would have liked was a little more backround on Claire. I hope there is a sequel so we can get to know all the great charactors better in this story. - Swampaa Sep 27th, 2003 |
Wow! This story is well written in style, taste, and in keeping continued interest. This story generates every conceivable emotion one could express.I love the characters Ash and Lauren. Their personalities are ones that a person could relate to and almost take on as your own. True to life.Exciting, keeps you guessing, what next. Light hearted. a chuckle or laugh at times. Romance, very refreshing, it deplicts the love, caring and understanding two people who are in love could have. Which so far constitues an unconditional love for each other. Being a continuing story, it keeps the readers interest in anticipation of what will happen in the lives of Ash and Lauren. A continuing story well done! (A Forever Fan) Kathy
Excellent. - Anonymous Dec 17th, 2003 I have no idea how I could have missed this one for so long. This story is abosolutely FANTASTIC. Each and every page is filled with humor, suspense and romance. I LOVE THIS STORY, one of the best I have ever read and I have been reading stories in the verse since day 1. Hats off to D E Salsbury. - Samantha Dec 14th, 2003 Been reading this story since the begening...It a great story but where is 19... - Taz Oct 17th, 2003 I have never been one for reading long stories especially when they are not finished. With that said, I am so glad I made an exception to this rule for Fate. Fate is an amazing story with a well developed plot line and three dimensional characters. I can honestly say, unlike most of the longer stories I have read, this one has never had a dull moment. This story is a very entertaining mixture of intrigue, humor and action. Nice job D E Salsbury, keep up the good work. - Summer Sep 24th, 2003 Fate is one of the best story's I have read. It has everything in it you could ask for. It will draw you into the story so much you will feel as if you are really there and that you know each of the characters personally. I can't wait to read more of this great story so I can see what happens next. - Debbie Dee Aug 3rd, 2003 Amazing. This story has me totally taken in. I could not put it down until I had savored each and every page. Now all I can say is that I am still hungry, when will the next part be online so I may devour it? In all honesty this story is truly amazing. I give it 10 stars and recommend it to everyone. - Jazz May 6th, 2003 I found this story truly riveting and I wait for each new addition with great anticipation. The tale this bard has spun is not only spellbinding but is dotted with delightful characters that are so lifelike they come right off the pages and materialize before your eyes. I highly recommend this story as a must read for anyone who enjoys excellent writing. - Lady J Mar 31st, 2003 You can hear the nice soft music play as these two meet and see the electricity flow between these two as they get to know and trust one another. I give this story a five star rating. It's one of the best reads I've read in a very long time. I recommend this to anyone and everyone. - Righty Sep 9th, 2002 |
The ER Chief Besom had two choices - either fire Dr. Shay Gerard, whom he'd just heard the umpteenth complaint against or turn it over to the one person who could find out the deepest secrets of a spy. Enter Pez - tall, long dark hair and eyes that could pierce into your very soul...and Chief of Surgery. Can her unorthodox ways help her help Shay? What...who is she afraid of? Read on and find out, although somewhat graphic, this is yet another romp in the warped world of Larisa that will make you laugh and cry.
Good use of words, but not too complicated to read. My favorite line was "Can I get a wheelie chair for a frozen tater tot?" PS I wish you would write more stories without the characters getting 'carried away'. - Nanaabelle's Grandson Aug 15th, 2003 it doesn't need comments... READ this story !! Larisa, you're one of the best bards !! - laurence Jul 31st, 2003 I must say I really do enjoy Larisa's stories very much. She has the ability to draw the reader into her story and keep them riveted to the screen. That being said I have but one criticism. The main characters are usually very likable and believable, but then the two goofy friends are always thrown in and they just completely detract from the story. I can't help but find them irritating and have to roll my eyes at their antics. I mean come on they don't act at all like real people do (well at least any people I have EVER met in my life). I personally enjoy being able to relate to the characers and they are simply impossible to relate to. This is just a personal opinion, of course. I would like to see Larisa turn her considerable talents towards writing something with more depth and emotion rather than finding new outrageous situations to throw these two annoying creatures into. - Peg Jul 12th, 2003 IMHO I believe this is one of her best. - Amanda Mar 16th, 2003 Larisa has found the formula that works everytime...I love her stories! Please keep them coming!!!! - LW Oct 5th, 2002 After wobbling a little with her last couple of stories, Larissa is back! "The Ice Princess" is well written, no lags or jags, just the author at her best. I loved the pez dispenser; it brought back childhood memories and a hankering for one of those solid, pure sugar treats that made me wired and able to run faster than anyone else. ;) Thanks and all that jazz to the author for an all-around good read. - Kay Oct 3rd, 2002 Just finished reading and I really enjoyed it...hilarious! Touching, too! - L Sep 27th, 2002 |
What a story! Talk about a rollercoaster ride! I loved it! Everyone should read this one. - Anonymous Mar 31st, 2003 This is a heart wrenching tale. Keeps you captivated the whole way through. Great job by the author and I do hope there is more to this saga. Makes you laugh and makes you cry. I'd read it over and over again. Thanks for endulging our sweet tooth for good fiction. - Caden Mar 7th, 2003 Great story! I loved every bit! The characters were so well done! I can't wait to read the follow up piece! - Anonymous Mar 5th, 2003 This comment contains spoilers. It is my opinion that this is absolutely the best piece from this author to date. The relationship between the main characters as well as the subplots and secondary relationships are well-developed. Torrance Whitfield is an excellent character sketch. You can tell this character is full of compassion and love, making her truly liekable even when her flaws are brought to light. As for the other main character, Helen, she is sophisticated and open. From the moment these two come together, you can tell something is going to happen, and the rollercoaster ride is fabulous. In addition September 11, 2001 is dealt with in a sensitive manner. The passage is emotional and trying on the characters, but the way it was written was well-constructed, and I give kudos to the author for taking on the challenge. If you read only one piece by Alex Tryst, this is the one you should read. - Anonymous Jan 3rd, 2003 This comment contains spoilers. IMO this is one of the author's best works. Some of her other stories give a definite uneasiness (enough to where I skip to the part where the child-woman is finally of legal age) with their may/pre-december themes. With "Love In Photographs" Ms. Tryst has perfected her love of the older woman/younger woman genre, especially since this younger character isn't a high school, sapphic, Lolita. ;) There's also a part that deals with 9-11 but the author is kind enough to forewarn her readers. Great story. - Kaye Jan 2nd, 2003 " Love in Photographs" A great story once you start reading you won't want to stop! - Anonymous Dec 23rd, 2002 |
This is the final story in the Kat and Beth series. S. Lee has definitely outdone herself in this one, where the love and romance hit a wonderful zenith, and growth and family are showcased in the most romantic and soulful way. The song lyrics used throughout masterfully enhance this tale just at the right moment!
- Maria Feb 21st, 2003 In the final install of the Kat and Beth series, your heart will melt from the romance that is found here. S. Lee has, once again, outdone herself telling the tale of Kat and Beth's trials, their love, their family and the belief in their future. The growth and depth of these characters make it impossible for you NOT to get completely sucked into their story. S. Lee's writing is wonderful! The love scenes will melt your soul, the song lyrics are well placed and the dialogue is meaningful and very entertaining. This series should not be missed! By anyone. High praise should go to S. Lee - Excellent work! - Di Bauden Feb 20th, 2003 ANOTHER MUST READ BY S. LEE...... If you are looking for action and danger, go rent a Bond movie but if its romance that you desire, this is the story for you. You will be caught up in the imagery of the love and passion shared by these two women. You will gaze upon your mate and realize she inspires the same devotion that these two share. This installment should be viewed upon as a HOW TO in the romance department. And if reading this does not inspire your mate, a 2X4 upside the head, may be the only other alternative. It's worth missing sleep for. For those lacking the imagination....TAKE NOTES...you can only benefit from the knowledge.... ;) - Topaz Feb 20th, 2003 READ THIS STORY!!! If you don't, you will miss one of the most romantic, warm, funny, inspiring and rewarding tales ever written!!! You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll shout for joy, and most of all, you will find yourself celebrating all the best things in life!!! S. Lee has, quite simply, outdone herself!!! Bravo!!! - Michelle Feb 19th, 2003 |
The town, the people, the strange going ons and now the monster that is scouring the countryside. It is a breath of fresh air to read a story that actually lets the readers feel 'every step.' A story that takes the reader on many adventures. I have laughed at times. Felt my heart beat faster when things got tense and scary. I actually feel as if I am a part of this adventure. The love the women share is fantastic. Can’t wait to read more of this story. - Jill Oct 8th, 2003 I am so loving this story.I am there, I feel as if I am part of the team. A marvelous story, written so well, I don't want to leave. Just when I think I have figured out whats going on, Anita throws in a curve and brings it in a whole new direction........Looking forward to the next chapters........ - Jean Dec 12th, 2002 This story has it all: action, comedy, drama, a little heartache, a lot of romance, and a mystery that has me pointing fingers at a half-dozen characters. This is another great story from the talented and popular author, Anita Louise. Do not miss this one! - Kimin Dec 10th, 2002 |

Stark contrasts. A chance meeting in dire circumstances that changes the lives of two women forever. From the belly of the underworld to the complexities of different cultures. Taya, has no past, and isn't planning on building anything. She is comfortable in her own world where she rules with an iron fist and a bullet silences all opposition. Barbara, comes from a totally different world and is both seduced and terrified by the woman who has entered her life. One chance meeting. Perhaps the last chance for both of them.
Cool story. Bravo S. Anne Gardner. - Anonymous Jul 29th, 2003 I just had to reread this story. It has taken us into two worlds that keep us on the edge of our seats. This is a must read. I recommend it to all. - Monti Jul 28th, 2003 A group of us decided to do an S. Anne Gardner marathon this weekend. "Cold and Lonely Work of Art," is one of our favorites. It kind of reminds us of "Seduction of Laura," which we would like to read also in this marathon. Thanks S. Anne Gardner - Kayden711 Jul 19th, 2003 I like the story line here. It has adventure, love and mystery. I want to know if Taya and Barbra will make it. - felicity146 Jul 16th, 2003 Great story but is there more? I've read through part5 is there a part6? - tyler Jul 15th, 2003 Do we still have the Ice Awards? This story sure has one. This story is HOT! - secretpop Jul 11th, 2003 I got very interested in this story. How are these two ever going to end up together? Is there more to this story? - Paticakes May 30th, 2003 Great story. Where can I found more of it? - Sally May 29th, 2003 A tidal wave of emotional storms, hot and cold constantly ticking away. Humanity's continuous and sometimes futile battle against nature makes this one of the most powerful novels. - Tildus May 28th, 2003 Two different world's collide on a night that will change the lives of two souls brought together out of a love that is stronger than the two of them. Their need for each other will bring about many dangerous decisions that affect those whom they love. Can't get enough of this one. - Betty Boop May 27th, 2003 Stunning, haunting, powerfully compelling... An intricate and revelatory chronicle of one of the most baffling love stories. - kgreen May 26th, 2003 I recommend this story to everyone. It is a true uber of Xena. Or at least I think so. Of course it has a bit more to it. A Knight in shining armor and a Lady in distress. Great read. I am waiting for more of it. - Anonymous May 26th, 2003 I would love to read the story howerever the background makes it nearly impossible to do so. :( - Anonymous May 26th, 2003 |

Brieannah never felt true love before, until Tarie. They learn the meaning of letting go to let true love surround them. It is not easy for either of them to overcome the pain they cause each other. Can they survive it? Will fate bring them together or keep them apart?
Rouses the emotions and stirs the senses...the hallmarks of a true artist. - D. Nightshade Apr 16th, 2003 Cutting to the chase, this story rocks!!! When o when will there be more?! I love these two characters! Wizzy not only makes you care about these two, but she also leaves you begging for more. You'll be up all night with this one, it's more than worth it. - ne-ne Apr 14th, 2003 This story simply has to be the best one I've read in a long, long time. It broke my heart and healed it all in one fell swoop. Brava to the author...Brava! - K. Murphy Apr 9th, 2003 This story kept me caught in its' weave the whole way through. I couldn't get enough. It is one of the best I have ever read. Tarie and Brie definately are proving opposites attract. Their souls belong together and deep down they are starting to realize it. The story unraveled just enough to make me want more. I cannot wait to read a possible sequel. AWESOME STORY!!! LOVED IT! :) - Caden Apr 9th, 2003 This is a classic tale of opposites attracting one another...yet it's not. Drenched with emotion, this story leads the reader on a veritable merry-go-round of emotions written so tangibly that the feelings last right up until the very last word. I've only three words for you, Wizzy: I Want More! - K.L.S. Apr 8th, 2003 What can I say about this story. It is one of the best I have ever read. The way Tarie and Brie go at it is outrageous. Two people that hate each other but deep down they love the other. Both are scared but by the end they take the chance. LOVED EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF IT!! - T. Stratton Apr 8th, 2003 |
In this griping romantic tale, Ryanne Cole had made her way to table four with the food, praying Johnny had it right. For the past few orders, he had told her the wrong table, and the green-eyed blonde had been the one to get the customer's wrath. Moments later, the door to the café opened, and a dozen uniformed men walked in. With the café being so close to the Army base, it was not unusual to see the soldiers stop by for a bite to eat while they were on break. What was unusual, however, was the next person in camouflage who walked in. She was tall, maybe 6'0" Ryanne guessed, with jet black hair and piercing blue eyes. The name-tag read K. Jones, and when the green-eyed blonde looked her way, Kris somehow wanted to speak to her forever.
I love this story. It is one of my very favorites. I have read it over and over. It is one of the most wonderful ubers I've ever read. Anyone who is a mushball like me would enjoy it:) - Ri Jan 13th, 2003 |
