Childress was with the team a year ago as a Senior Offensive Consultant during the offseason, but left before the season started to prepare to coach in the AAF. He never coached with the Atlanta Legends however, instead retiring in January. He has a history coaching with his good friend, Bears head coach Matt Nagy, so this move was expected for some time now. The Bears didn’t announce if this was another temporary hire like in 2018, so we’ll have to wait and see if he spends the regular season on staff or rides off into the sunset after helping to ready Chicago's offense for the 2019 season. Either way, his forty years of coaching experience will be a big addition to Nagy’s offensive think-tank. What are your thoughts on Childress being back with the Bears? White to mock. Not only does White take his mock to completion, but he also includes a bunch of trades as well. Full seven rounders are a fun way to learn about some prospective players that could find their way to the Chicago Bears. After you check out how his mock fell for the Bears, make sure to let us know if this is the direction you would have taken if you were making the picks. ~ Sanders is a guy hat has been mocked to the Bears quite a bit, but there are a few internet scouts that claim there’s no way he makes it to the Bears’ selection in the third. I’ve simulated a few mocks and besides the top few running backs, they all seem to fall down. Unless there’s a back the Bears have so high up their board that they have to pull the trigger at 87
https://www.thebearsfanshop.com/Khalil-Mack-Jersey , I think waiting to get a back later in the draft may prove to be better value. ~ Jelks (6’5”, 256 lbs) is one of those guys that didn’t test at the combine as well as his tape would make you think. He looks strong and athletic in the film I watched, but his measurables didn’t impress. ~ Even though Edwards had a highly productive career at Wisconsin as a four-year starter, some scouts still questioned his speed. He answered some of those questions with a 4.77 forty at his pro day. The Lindenhurt, Illinois native played quarterback in high school and he has a reputation as a smart football player. White calls him a “low ceiling but also a high floor” type of player, and those are guys that usually have productive NFL careers. ~ The athletic Cheevers (5’9”, 169 lbs) had 7 interceptions last year
https://www.thebearsfanshop.com , and he’d be a prospect to work in at slot corner. ~ The Bears had a pre-draft meeting with Amadi (5’9”, 199 lbs), and his versatility could provide secondary depth. He’s another guy that flashed on tape, but didn’t do well in the Underwear Olympics. Now it’s your turn to chime in. What’s your take on this mock draft?
