A whirlwind 24 hours had Antonio Morrison go from on the outs with the Indianapolis Colts to a potentially important player with the Green Bay Packers.The inside linebacker got right to work on Monday with Green Bay Matt Slauson Jersey Stitched , which traded for Morrison to boost depth at a position hit by injuries. The team announced today that they have traded LB Antonio Morrison to the Green Bay Packers for CB Lenzy Pipkins. Antonio Morrison has seemed like the odd man out this offseason as the team focused on bringing in more youth and speed to this linebacker core. Morrison, the team’s 4th round pick in 2016, tallied 153 total tackles in 19 starts over the past two seasons.Lenzy Pipkins also seemed to be in a very similar situation in Green Bay as he has been running with the third and fourth team corners this preseason with Green Bay’s additions of Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson. The 6’0” 195 pound corner went undrafted last year but performed really well in his limited appearances. He tallied 14 total tackles and 1 pass deflection in 12 games played.For the Colts this move is more about adding more players to the secondary. The team’s top two corners, Nate Hairston and Quincy Wilson John Simon Jersey Stitched , are currently out with injuries and the depth in the group was questionable to begin with. With Pipkins, they get a player who played well last season who can also contribute on special teams and push for a final roster spot. Overall I like the trade as it also paves the way for exciting rookies Matthew Adams and Skai Moore to make the squad as linebackers.
