You are about to meet an exciting new character in an upcoming sci-fi series titled “The Chronicles of Ratha”. Jordana Laren is a hard-drinking, bar room-brawling space pilot for hire. By her own admission she’s a space bum who works occasionally to keep her creditors at bay. Her life is going nowhere, drifting from one job to another and one bar to another, until her latest job turns out to be more than she expected.

And so the adventures begin in Book One, told by Jordana herself in her own inimitable way, giving her own insights on life, love and the universe.

While it leans more towards an adventure tale than a true sci-fi I'm sure there will be enough in it to satisfy all tastes. Each ‘book’ is an adventure in its own right but each tale is woven together with a central thread tying her exploits together into one overall saga. Some questions raised in Book One will be answered and some will be left hanging, to be answered in a later tale.

So sit back and enjoy… I hope. Feel free to let me know what you think of it when it's posted. Of course lots and lots of feedback will encourage me to continue….

For those of you who took the time to read Book One of this series, Book Two is in the works. It will pick up where Book One left off and will answer SOME of those pesky little questions raised in Book One. There may be one or two questions still left unanswered but don't fret, they will all be answered by the time the whole story is completed (whatever Book that will be.....) There will also be the introduction of some new characters to join the story. I'll try not to keep you waiting too long.

I know that the instalments for this series have been rather slow in coming. I have actually finished writing the series and have posted it on my Yahoo Group. For now I won't be posting any more parts here as it has been submitted for consideration for publication. I have decided to post all five books. Three have already been posted at the Athenaeum. The final two books will follow in the first half of next year.

I'm hoping to submit Ratha for publishing but it needs a major overhaul, reducing the content down by a third to a readable novel size. For the story to work some characters and events need to be sacrificed. Because of this, I can't see any need to hold the original story back from posting online.

I hope that those of you who have been waiting for the end will enjoy what I've done. Feel free to leave feedback because I love hearing from each and every one of you.

It is a re-working of the online story, so has some new pieces as well as the old. I would love to hear what you think of the book.
