to be honest, i'm hoping for more raves than rants, but i'll take what i can get. :nailbiting:

I'm raving already and I haven't even seen it yet. Where is it posted?

This is my first post to a fiction message board although I have read a lot of stories over the last year or so (since discovering the on line fiction world). Your previous stories are among the best I have read and I certainly see no reason to believe the new one won't be just as exceptional.

WOW :applause:

I started reading early this evening and couldn't stop. It's now 1am and I had to immediately pop in here to tell you what I thought.

It was great! I got so involved with Jordan and Sarah that I'm really sad that it's finished. I really wanted to keep reading all about the new job and moving the whole household to Edgewater and everyone starting their new lives there. I just know that I'm going to be reading it again tomorrow night.

This is my new favourite story. Ya done good BadSquirrel :not worthy:

I'm sure I've got more to say, however I need sleep, so I'll come back tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing with us all.

Badsquirrel, I agree with Dogz, this is my new favorite story. I loved Sarah and Jordan and wanted the story to just go on and on. I gotta admit though with QMBG on your case like she has been I thought there would be more sex :winking2: . Excellent job both of you. I gotta go write now, you've inspired me. :not worthy:

Ok, I've just read it again and I still love it.

I'm not always very good at getting my thoughts across, but I'll give it a go.

I really liked both Sarah and Jordan as characters. I loved that you didn't have them too angsty. I had a few little teary moments, but you didn't dwell on anything horrible. Sarah would be confronted with a problem and either work it out herself, or be presented with a different point of view to help her. I liked that you didn't have her dwelling on any one thing for too long. She took each revelation about herself in stride and adjusted and grew as a person. I also liked the way you had her slowly growing into her desires with Jordan, it wasn't a sudden "oh so that's what I like, light bulb turning on moment". I thought you wrote the BDSM perfectly, it was enough to get a great picture of the scene, but not enough to cause anyone too sensitive to it to not keep reading. (at least I hope not, cause they'd be missing a fantastic story.)

Jordan was a great character, so charming and loving and oh so lonely. Maggie was simply wonderful and such a treasure for Sarah to finally have that in her life. You really drew me in with this story and I felt like I actually knew them. I liked all your other extra characters as well and thought they added to the story perfectly. Except for the Stephen scene, I'm not sure why, but that jarred a little bit with me. Maybe I needed a little bit more of a set up scene, it was a bit of a jump straight into he'd been there for days already. And Jordan is so focused on Sarah and her care and comfort, that surely he would have told her the reason for his behaviour?

I've got a few question that weren't answered, maybe a sequel? Like where did they go on their holiday? What sort of house do they find and which all of the staff follow them? Does Joey and his mum move with them? (poor Joey, only got a little mention in this one) What sort of dog do they get? Does Hannah help them get the dog? What sort of charities etc does Jordan get into in Edgewater? Does Jordan set up any sort of playing in Edgewater, or do they keep it between them now? How does Kelly react when she finds out about the Porsche, Hummer, Cadillac, Aston Martin, BMW, Rolls Royce, Maserati and Bentley.? Does Stephen get the help he needs? Do Sarah's parents ever turn up with dollar signs in their eyes? Are they rid of that reporter, or does he show up to bug them in Edgewater?

See, I didn't have too many questions :big grin:

It was great BadSquirrel, thankyou for writing such fantastic story to share with us all. I look forward to your next one.

Oh and QMBG, you did a great job too, big claps for you :applause:

Jesus Christ, this was GREAT! I've been waiting anxiously for whatever you chose to post next and it sure was worth the wait. I've read it twice already; I think I'm addicted. I loved the characters, and the sex :big grin: , and the story line, and the emotion, and the humor, and fill in the blank, I loved it all. I do wonder what happens next though...I think if you continue with the things you've already started, you can soon have Edgewater 90 % lesbian-populated. Nice thought, huh?

I have to say too that I so enjoyed that I could lose myself in the story (except for maybe the rich-beyond-belief wealthy parts). And, maybe I enjoy even more that your writing itself -- the way you chose to have the characters express their thoughts and feelings -- easily allowed me to feel too. I laughed and cried and loved and got angry and everything else, right along with them, and reading material doesn't normally do that for me.

You got skills lady -- everything you've written and shared with us has given me great pleasure. I'd even pay real money if you ever charged a fee.

PS -- I vote that "more sex" was a very good choice. And, its hard to sneak in reading a chapter or two at work when the turds are always hanging over my cubicle wall reading my computer screen out loud. I look real guilty when I shut the screen down real quick. :i_don't_know:

I so enjoyed reading this story, couldn't put it down. Took the dog for a quick walk and settled down
for the rest of the day and did it in one shot (except for snack and loo breaks) ;)
Jordan and Sarah are my new best friends, till your next story. Unless you have a sequel in mind :waiting:
Thank you for another fantastic story :applause:

4 for 4 little squirrel - well done (and kudos to you QMBG :applause: )!! I didn't think you could top your other stories - stupid me!! I agree with Dogz about the numerous unanswered questions and will just assume that they will be addressed in another (perhaps your next) story. So you say it starts with a lap dance...hmmmmmm. :heehee:

i think i should be embarrassed at how good it feels to have so many people saying nice things about me. well, about my stories anyway. those who really know me don't say stuff like that. probably with good reason. i can be.......difficult.

honestly though, i thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all of the wonderful posts and recommendations. it really gets me jazzed up to write when i read such good things. :dancing: keep that in mind when you read the excellent stories of other writers. the more effusive your praise of our hard work, the faster we want to get another story out there.

for the record, i agree with dogz about the way i wrote stephen. i think the scene itself works, but the buildup was all wrong. QMBG doesn't agree with me, but i think it's just because she doesn't want me to beat myself up about it. us writer types are sensitive about that sort of thing and i think she worries that i will end up with writer's block or something. someday i'll go back and do a little work on that. but not today.

i fully intend to write a sequel involving my edgewater characters, but it will be a while. i've got two stand alone stories that are on the rampage to get out. when i'm not thinking about them, i'm juggling the edgewater ladies to see what kind of plot falls out. i have some ideas, but they'll be on hold for a bit longer.

in the mean time, thank you thank you thank you for reading Dark Side and telling me how wonderful and amazing i am. i love that crap.
Shut up and be happy.

Badsquirrel (I was gonna shorten that to BS, just didn't look right) :big grin:

You have once again given us a fantastic story! Thank you.

I agree with Dogz on the Stephen scene. I actually went back and re-read that part to make sure that I hadn't missed anything.

All of the questions she had were right on also. I would love to have the answers. Hell, just her questions alone are a great outline for a sequel!

So far, all of your stories have begged for more, so with the two you have in the works, and the four sequels we are begging for (that makes 6 stories in case you were wondering), you have a lot of writting to go. So get cracking woman :winking2: It's not nice to tease us by making us wait this way!

No reason to ever be embarrassed by the praises your talent brings you. And you do have plenty of talent. Just sit back and enjoy it, like we have enjoyed your stories. ;)
You really are a "wonderful and amazing" writer. Not just anyone can draw you into a story like you constantly do, and have you feeling like everything that is happening is real. :not worthy:

QMBG: Ya done good! :not worthy: :not worthy:

P.S. Is the dog they get an offspring of Mabel's?

What did I find when I went to compile last weeks stats? Not only did I find that BadSquirrel had the #1 (no surprise there), but 30% of the population of Earth read the story.

Really.

The stats showed just over 2 billion page views on part 1 of The Dark Side of the Moon. Not only that, but there was 8 billion MB of data transfer. :surprise2:

Ok, so it was ratty data, but you have to appreciate the good karma, especially since in the 6 years of collecting stats, that’s never happened before. It was corrected, but even so BadSquirrel did have the highest weekly total for a story over the last couple of years at around 2500 visits. An impressive number for a very deserving story. :applause:

whoo hooo, our very own BadSquirrel is a worldwide superstar! (I'm ignoring the ratty data excuse  )

all bow down, we're not worthy :not worthy: we're not worthy :not worthy: we're not worthy :not worthy:

A very well deserved Number 1, (and number 3 and number 5 and number 16) a big congratulations :applause:

Oh shizz,

I'm getting nervous, Simple Squirrel (<--- that sounds like an alt rock band) and I'll tell ya why.

All this talk of sequels, upcoming attractions...don't you know I have a life too???

What do you mean you didn't know I had to block out 2 days off from work, and skip class on Monday in order to prepare to read HP? At least JKR gave us release date; that gave us months ahead of time to prep...mentally, physically, academically...

Which reminds me, not only must I have anxiety of what's to come, but I need to re-read the rest of Sadistic Squirrel's works (thanks, fellow posters, for a moment there I questioned whether Mabel was a dog or not...).

Okay, for reals now, that was the best work so far IMO and a new favorite! At this point, I can't really say why I like this work most cause I'm still a bit dazed, but perhaps I'll come up with something once I do a little re-reading. Until then, I shall attribute it to QMBG! Bravo!!!

And thank you, BadSquirrel. I'll get over the anxiety and impatient dread, but Jordan and Sarah will stay with me for quite some time. Thank you.

okay, about the two billion hits.....i can explain.

see...i have high speed internet and...um...it was...well...it was...my mom! yeah! that's it! it was my mom! she was clicking on my story while i was at work.

huh? while i was at home? well, i can explain that, too. see...it was like this...my nephew! that's right! the one who cut my hair! i know, he's only four, but he's a right smart little bugger. sneaky, too.

what do you mean you don't believe me?

hmpf. fine. i took the week off from my day job and tried to pump up my numbers. is that a crime? didn't do me any good, did it? bardeyes saw right through it and smacked me down from two billion to 2500. i was testing her. yeah, that's it. i was just checking to see if she was paying attention. and she was! isn't she amazing? let's all hear it for bardeyes. :applause:

I just read it again and I've got another question.

Jordan tells Sarah that she got her financial start with a windfall in college. What is the windfall? Is it that she gets a Trey book published? Is that why she says it's embarrassing? Or is the windfall something else?

Well I don't like to brag about my genius-hood *she says with a straight face*

However.....*collapses with snorts and giggles*

Another question for the sequel, does Sarah eventually teach Jordan to swim? (I better stop rereading it, I keep coming up with more questions :laughing2: )
