I'm sure I know more, but that's about all I've got for now. No no no, I swear I don't have a fascination with stories involving supposedly straight women! *coughs*[/quote]

Hmm, sure GB, sure. I'm sensing the lady doth protest too much.

Anyway, thanks for all the story links. I have time to read now, though I'm told I should be working on Brice III

I didn't inhale! Hm wait...is that the right response for this? I'll just go with yes and hope for the best.

And psssh, why force yourself? Enjoy yourself with a story or five. Of course I'm a first-rate procrastinator so I'm not sure you should take advice from me...

You're trying to get me in trouble. No procrastinating for me even though I am actually....

Just road Snowbound. It was good.

You know a lot of Kim Pritekel's story has one of the leading ladies starting out straight. In the end, they just give in.

April,

Can an author be awarded a virtual toaster if her character becomes a lesbian in the story, but appeared first as straight

Good question Kali.

I think the virtual toaster should be awarded to the character who turned the straight woman into a lesbian. Unless a course that character is a straight woman herself, in which case they both give each other toaster ovens. While this may not sound fair to the author, the author is allow to come over and make herself virtual toast in said virtual toaster oven anytime he/she pleases.

Course this is just my opinion.

Noemi by Katia N. Ruiz
Lots of angst, drama, and confusion. For the characters anyway. Something a reader can really sink his or her teeth in to.

I think I remember this one, but I'm not sure. (I also can't remember the title, but I started reading almost every story again, and if I come across, I will surely post it here. (But I think someone else will probebly know the story you are looking for))

I just searched for it, and I found it!
I think this is what you where looking for:
Part 1:
http://www.forevaxena.com/fanfictiondel ... ember.html
Part 2:
http://www.forevaxena.com/fanfictiondel ... ruary.html
Part 3:
http://www.forevaxena.com/fanfictiondel ... njune.html
Part 4:
http://www.forevaxena.com/fanfictiondel ... skies.html
Part 5:
http://www.forevaxena.com/fanfictiondel ... arch1.html

(I think you can just go to the next part from the part you are reading, this in case I have given the wrong order.)

Another story I found yesterday
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2953041/1/Going_Home
It's about difficult parents.
I'm not finished yet with the story, but I can tell that I already needed to whipe some tears away.

Just blowing my own trumpet a bit ('cause if not me then who...)

Evadne, in my Red and Evadne series, starts off straight... and then takes three stories to work out what is going on. They also avoid the 'Falling in love too soon' category - tho' should possibly be included in the 'she needs a good slap' category for being so slow to catch on... :)

If you want a girl starting straight and not falling in love too soon you could look in on my favourite romance story at the moment The Harvest by GE Birch http://www.academyofbards.org/fanfic/g/gebirch_harvest1.html

I just have one question - if someone can write a romance like that, why not write another one ? I haven't found any other stories by this writer on line or in print for that matter !

Few new additions, one is thanks to Rio.

Starting Straight(ish)

This Moment On by Ambrosia
http://xenafiction.net/scrolls/ambrosia_tmo1.html
Good shtuff.

Reasons to be Beautiful by Domino
http://web.archive.org/web/200803170315 ... utiful.htm
Read the warnings at the beginning of this short piece.

A Place Called Home by Damnation
http://www.academyofbards.org/fanfic/d/ ... home1.html
This one makes me think of how I used to feel as a teenager for some reason.

On a Wing and a Prayer by Kd Bard
http://www.xenafiction.net/scrolls/kd_bard_oawaap1.html
Can give one a toothache...

Insight by Idryth
http://www.academyofbards.org/fanfic/i/ ... sight.html
This one is actually a series, and the two leads don't hook up until...I think the third part? I'm very fond of this series and re-read it now and then. =3
(2)Realizations
(3)Emotion
(4)Focus
(special)The Gift

Perfect Pitch by J.C. Wilder
http://web.archive.org/web/200411081348 ... rfect1.htm
This one was *technically* never finished to my knowledge...but I enjoy this anomalous uber fare so much that the last part posted is/was enough of an ending for me. Read at your own risk. (~love it)

Difficult Parents

A Little Piece of Paradise by Midgit
http://www.academyofbards.org/fanfic/m/ ... dise1.html
Roller coaster ride.

Thanks everyone for the great story's it took a while to read them all :p But meanwhile I found another one,

it's a starting straight story (UX)
but here is my question:
the story is Saagar by EMHamilton but on her site there is a link to chapter 2, but I get an empty page. Does someone has the 2nd chapter? Or knows where to find it?
thank you very much!

When I was peraring for my Series 7 exam I was in the same situation, however I used this Series 7 Preparation App that helped me a lot with studying. I am very thankful to developers of this highly effective online training course.

RJ's Take Time out http://xenafiction.net/redir.cfm?sn=635 ... /tt01.html

Many of S. Anne Gardner"s stories are in your criteria.. Writing doesn't get much better than Ms. Anne's
http://xenafiction.net/author_pages/sannegardner.html

Alex Tryst's
Love in Photographs series http://xenafiction.net/author_pages/alextryst.html

Of course there is IFMHISF series by SX Meagher http://xenafiction.net/styles/athenaeum ... agher.html That's a couple of weeks worth of reading right there....
