Meet and Greet

*peers head out from under blanket* I smell cookies.
*spots the plate* COOKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Howdy guys *munches happily on cookies* I've been hiding from the cold under my heating blanket. I'm also pouting cause they said it would snow...and it didn't. Sadness.

Hey I welcomed that 50 degree high yesterday. Was a fine afternoon. Played with Ajax. My poor outdoor puppy. Having to spend the night out in the cold. I made her a pillow bed and got her a fluffy rug. You know, I went out to her pen the other day to crack open the ice in her water bucket and it was like an inch thick. So I get that ice out, just tossing it in her pen, and it hasn't melted yet. Just lays there, still ice. Speaking of which, I should probably go check her bowl for ice again and let her out.

I like the cold. Gives me a chance to wear nice long sleeve shirts and curl in a warm bed with a good book...and a good lady...

So what have I been up too? Well, just getting ready for school starting back. I've moved into a new apartment since my roommate got married, so I've been preoccupied with that. You know it wasn't hard moving the first time but the second time it was a hell of a lot harder. Dragging that mattress up the stairs...ugg....

Well folks, time for me to go face the world that is not under my blanket. Signing off, this has been April reporting live from the cold, snowless South.

Oy the cookies work!!!!! Twin!!! :big grin: :big hug: You need to come around some more! I miss you :)
On the brightside, you'll get snow before me! They said it might "snow" here on saturday/sunday; 20% chance!!!! :ROTFL: I can pray yeah?? LOL

Iguanas???!!!! ROFl I have no idea about that! I don't...think...we...have iguanas. In puero rico there's a bunch LOL It was warmer today though, not much but warmer.

Hey April, maybe a hot girl watched you move in and watched those muscles! lol

lol, well I did have two friends with me helping me move. I'd say both are pretty attractive if that counts. Well anyone watching us would have seem us chasing my new roommate's dog because it had gotten out while we were moving. Took 30 darn minutes to get him back and that's only because I got my old roommate to help. Darn mutt....

I've never seen an iguana so I don't know if they're falling out of trees.

I've been working hard on my stories for the writing contest. About 2/3rds done with one and halfway done with the other. Of course that means Brice III has been on hold but never fear,England shall prevail.

Moving is the worst! I just moved at the end of October. I decided to take some time off before searching for a job so I could enjoy the Holidays. Now I have to search for a job and I am sadly unmotivated, yet worried at the same time.

Kudos, SW. I'm looking forward to reading them. I'm not even halfway through my story yet. Hmm. Methinks I need to focus this weekend. :)

I think I'd rather move again before searching for a new job.

*blows on fingers and then rubs them on her shirt smugly* 'Tis the enticing magic of cookies! It is a technique that I use when I want to chat and no one is around. Works most of the time. :big grin: And both moving AND finding a job is a pain and a half! Ugh.

Yes! Please finish your stories for the contest so I'll have motivation to finish mine!

So, I heard on the weather station that snow was seen around the bay area early this morning. Wet snow and stuff.
I haven't seen any but that is still pretty awesome. It hasn't snowed here in like....thirty years I think.
It's fun :D

There was my weather update LOL

My weather update: freezing cold but still no snow (thankfully). And unsurprisingly, everyone except me wasn't at work yesterday due to the "bad" weather. :i_don't_know:

As for the competition stories, I don't want to know details but I am interested in if people went for SF or fantasy. I picked SF myself.

No snow. Sadness. Cold though. Pretty cold. School starts Monday. I don't wanna go back. I'm going to join the circus instead.

I'm sure it would be if I haven't had to look at it for the last 3 weeks, lol. OOH! Did I tell you all? A guy in my neighborhood was driving his bobcat around and was clearing the drifts off people's driveway this morning! So I can actually get in and out without having to navigate the hole I cut through the 3' drift on my driveway!! I'm still excited!!

And my story started out SF and it's kinda going into fantasy... lol, should be interesting to see where it ends, 'cause right now I have no friggin' clue where it's going LOL. It's got a mind of it own!! :surprise2: :laughing2:

Nice of your neighbor.

I sent my kid to sholve the neighbors drive. He comes in says he's done.

I go out to look and the top of the drive looks great...but eventually tapers down to about a 4 foot opening at the curb. I told him to get his butt out there and do it right. He told me "geesh, She can just lay on the gas pedal and get over the snow" :rolling eyes2:

Indeed it is Beck. Mathematics Major = Me. Also Mathematics = Sex but that's another story for another time. I have three math classes this semester. Should be loads of fun. :)

Yall should get a bluetooth. It's really cool being hands free.

Well I received some sad news. My teacher, Dr Harris, was in a car accident last week. She's alive but she broke her neck. She wont be returning this semester to say the least. Funny how quickly life can change you know....she's such an awesome teacher...well I'm going to try to visit her tonight.

Hi Catseye:
on way to NYC Virgin Air has free wifi until the 15th. It is going to be so cold. brrr. At least there won't be snow I did't pack boots. :whew:

We may be heading to Tahoe this weekend with our son when I get back so I won't avoid the snow. Last night he was plucking my nerves although he was cutely smiling. He grabbed the white toothpaste and squeezed it all over our bed frame, sheets, conforters and had a fair amount on his forehead and hair, arms and shirt. Plus he spilled water on our bed. so I pull that off and clean him off and send him to his room to play and he pees on his bed so I need to change that too and him. Meanwhile I'm trying to pack for my trip. Then all he wants is me to tickle him so basically he never stopped laughing. he had fun at least. He did look cute but I couldn't locate the camera. His hair was like a short male character from an older SNL era that pulls pants up high and has this bit of hair that sticks up in the front and says " I really must say" The blistery day skit is the one I remember the most. Brain cramp trying to remember actor or the character's name something like Horace Grimley.

Anyway left house at 5:30am and should be in NY by 4pm. Looking forward to seeing a friend from college tonight and then a few days of work, more socializing and back to SF.
:peace: Kali
