Kali- Have a great time in NYC. NYC is so different than where I live - LOL I do like NYC and have visited maybe 4 or 5 times. It's sort of scary to me :don't tell:
At least you may have some "warmer" weather. We may hit 40 degrees on Thursday, here in upstate NY, so NYC should be warmer. Have a great time and stay safe!!

Kali I must wonder, does your son get his mischief side from you or his other mom? I'm placing my money on you.

*gasp* April posted an update on the FAKE girls....no way.

Well I made it through one day of classes. Now only the rest of the semester to go. How's everybody else doing?

Math = Sex? That would have to be some story. I'll eagerly await the whole thing. Ahh back to school... I really miss school and I hope that 2010 will be the year I get accepted to medical school.

Well I hope you do too Beck. Everybody needs a good doctor.

As for Math = Sex, it's less of a long story and more of a long book that should be written. And math is kinda like a woman too. Could give a few teasers I suppose....I suppose you've done a math homework problem or two. Well doing math problems is a lot like having sex with a woman. Sometimes it takes a lot of fiddling with the problem before you can get the answer (the orgasm). It can take a long time, a lot of frustration, and sometimes you might not ever make that problem orgasm. When you can get after those long hard times, you're relieved and maybe a little aggrivated it took you so long to figure out just how to work the problem.
Sometimes its just a long, long problem and when you get to that last step and you look at the answer in the back of the book and see its right, you got a smug smile of victory on your face. It was a long hard problem but you made that problem come like no tomorrow.
Other times, you do a problem and you just know it. You know every step and you ace through it. Nice, multiply orgasms...

Ah, well, I'm sure this aint interesting for yall. Just something that goes through my head.

Ya know twin....I still find that analogy fascinating. I honestly want to hear more, write that book or essay LOL. However, next time I'm doing math I'm going to be blushing like a fool in love.

That is a pretty good analogy. Now if only math teachers and professors would teach math like that there would be interested teens/young adults filling up classrooms everywhere. In high school, my AP calc teacher used to talk about math being the universal language and I would tell classmates that sex was the universal language. We all speak it (for the most part), we all understand it, and we never even had to have a class in it. At that time my chosen future profession was to be a sex therapist :whistling: .

I took the psychology of gender and sexuality a few years ago. Unfortunately, it wasn't very interesting which is sad because it has the potential to be an interesting topic. You'll have to let us know if your class is uh...stimulating :winking2: .

Had my first class of Human Sexuality. Was very interesting. We covered the female anatomy and I learned a few things. That pleasantly surprised me since I like to consider myself to have a good knowledge of the vulva.

Did you know finding the G-spot is like trying to pop the hood of your car? You gotta reach in with two fingers and press up. I love my teacher. :)

It already sounds more informative and interesting than the class I took. I think we talked a lot of gender roles and then later sexual dysfunction. The professor was probably my least favorite within the psych department though. She taught some of the more interesting classes with the most dull presentations :frustrated: .

I'm sorry Beck. Here's a :big hug:. Don't worry, I cleaned my hands after popping the hood. :cool2:

I should probably do all my homework tonight, that way I'll be completely free during the weekend.
Lets see...
Gotta read in Complex Variables,
Gotta read in History of Mathematics and have problems
Gotta read in Mathematical Analysis and probably have some problems
Gotta write a three page paper on how religion influenced my sexuality for Human Sexuality.
Gotta start researching my capstone.
Gotta do Physics problems.
...and I think that's it....hmm, I think I should just start drinking now.

ugh physics...my downfall during my MCAT and the reason I have to retake it--which I need to start studying for. Of course, I'll take regular car maintenance breaks.

April,

gasping at your funny. hahaha. No clue where my son gets the hijinx gene. Autism is a weird journey so we take it day by day. Some days we laugh and somedays it takes a while to laugh at what we experienced/survived; I am still waiting for a few to be funny.

Its hard to believe I am writing about math. math = sex struck a chord April. My previous memory of sex = math was from Jr High. We had a math teacher who play pocket ball wizard. His face would get so red I was afraid he'd stroke out. [pun intended]

April your definition may finally replaces that unpleasant memory which pops up when those two words are combined. Coincidentally my partner was a math major and is a physician. While I like numbers I never saw them as sexual beyond 7,8, 9.

On my way back to SF. It was not as cold in NYC as I expected, if it had been windier I would have been feeling it more. Thanks for the warm thoughts Catseye. Maybe 40 will get up to 50 for you soon.

Kali :peace:

Kali - ALMOST 40's tomorrow!!!! YAY!!!! We will take it since it is still mid January and February is a BEAR!!!! TG February is a short month.

I am so wrapped up in the earthquake in Haiti and very, very sad. It is so hard to comprehend why things like this happen and so many innocent deaths! I just don't get it.

I am very fortunate living in the northeast, although I will bitch about the cold - but we don't have hurricanes, tornados or earthquakes here. We have snow and it goes away eventually. I have to admit that I am very fortunate and feel bad for those who are less fortunate.

OK, I ranted and I guess that because my birthday was yesterday and I turned a year older...... should I tell????????? OK, I will 48, I am feeling emotional right now. Definitely time for bed.

Night All!

I second that.

It got to a nice 70 degrees today. I was very happy. Felt wonderful outside. If I can't have snow, I'd like nice weather instead.

You know Kali, I always heard 6 was afraid of 7 because 7 8 9. If this is true, then 7 and 9 must be queer because they are of the same sex so to speak. They're odd numbers so that means even numbers must be heterosexual. If 6 is afraid of 7 then 6 must be homophobic. This is just a working theory. Not sure if I believe this fully yet.

I'm watching Dawn of the Dead. Why? No clue. Guess I like Zombies that's all.

Math equals sex? Well, maybe. Let's see...

I have to do a lot of fiddling to get the right result.

Most people agree on the basics but only because most people agree on the basics. If you think slightly differently, you tend to get ostracized.

You learn it all when you're young but by the time you get to my age you tend to have forgotten most of it.

I don't get the more complicated stuff (although I'm pretty great at the simple stuff ;)).

Students seem to know more about this than I do.

I can do it well at a grocery store.

Yep, it does seem that math equals sex to me. :)
