I have read Driven by Susanne Beck and TNovan and wanted to know if any one knows other stories that are similar or something that has sports?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Isn't there a softball story that is ongoing, set in Florida? can't remember the author at the moment. And of course there is the classic IFMHISF by Meagher. http://xenafiction.net/redir.cfm?sn=415 ... nings.html

And I seem to recall another football story. I am afraid again I do not remember the Author. Its about a professional player who is injured by a jealous violent opponent, and has to go through extensive therapy. She falls for the PT helping her. The grandmother of the player has a strong role too. I believe the grandmother character had a prequel story as well.... For some reason my memory is telling me the grandmother used to be a police detective. Also again my memory falters, There is a story about another Olympic Volleyball player I believe the character name is Blythe Van Der something, I read this ages ago. It has been published. I believe the name Paradise is in the title. Although the sports is not a main story subject in the novel it is there. Gosh I am sorry I know you didn't ask to hear me ramble on. I am sure one of these smarter ladies with a better memory will be able to decipher my faulty clues. Good luck to you! I have enjoyed many of the "sport" related stories as well

Scotti,

those two fics sounds familiar to me and I may know both of them but the first one I read recently and can't, for the life of me, remember the title. :) But the second one I believe it's Paradise Found by Stoley & Cruise.

You also wondered about the softball fic, is it Double Play by Cruise?

It's "Fourth and Goal" by Strongsouljah aka Tonya S. Coley.
As far as I know it's an unfinished story with the 10th chapter posted 2005.

Sadly that wonderful piece of writing is unfinished and I guess will never be finished. :(

This one is Fourth and Goal by Strongsouljah. It was pretty good. Unfortunately, it was removed from the net by the author. Unless I'm thinking of a different author, she told us that she was removing it to do a re-write. You can still find the old version posted (incomplete) on a few sites.

Is there an echo in here here here ;)

PS The Cruise and Stoley novel was quite entertaining and fun. As are the others as well.

Thanks guys!!!

Does Missy Good's "A Matter Of Pride" book in the Xena & Gabrielle series "A Journey of Soulmates" count as a sports story???? It does include foot races, wrestling, boxing, javelin, staff fighting and swimming(sorta). Plus you have to be pretty athletic to keep up with Dori. Just ask POO POO (Eponin). But then again almost any classic X:WP story has all manner of athletic prowess and ability. Doesn't it? Is this one of those things that could turn into a multi-opinion definition like the is it Uber or is it Original question???? Oh boy I think I need to stop thinking about this for a while. :big grin:

Hey RhB:

I guess Olympic events could be considered a template for most modern games couldn't it? :big grin: I am thinking that with all the chariot races in Ancient Greece, there was plenty of "Hockey" to go around. Oh boy I really went there didn't I? Then again was Chariot racing an ancient Olympic event or was that a Gladiator event? Were Gladiators considered Olympians? Gosh I am getting confused again. I think I am going to need some Greek history searches with Prof Google. I am gonna stop thinking bout this stuff for a while. Who keeps coming up with all these complicated questions and issues?? :d'oh:

Another sports story??
Was there a story about two college ladies, one a basketball player and the other a student teacher but also a swimmer?? I am thinking the title was something like "Until" read it quite sometime ago. Ok smart ladies.... please figure out my disjointed clues. You are all so COOL!!

Ei Scotti. You trying to give poor RB a heart attack on an otherwise forgettable Sunday morning? The Greeks had chariot races and these were part of the Olympics. Gladiators were a Roman thing and had nothing to do with chariot races or the Olympics.
