I know it's getting old "the looking for a story" kind of posts but I have bits of a storyline that I just can't place and it has been bugging me for some time.

So why not reach out for a helping hand ?

Here we go:
- The setting is modern time
- A woman on a farm (?) with 2 - 3 siblings (?) - at least I don't think it's her own children - could it be a sisters children?
- The woman has a job in town and need someone to care for the children and help with the housework
- There might be an ad for a housekeeper/nanny in a local newspaper / shop ?
- Wintertime and snow ?
- There is a woman out of a job/looking for a job - I don't think that the housekeeping/nanny stuff is what she usually do (?)
- Scenes on cooking meals and caring for the children perhaps taking them for a movie in town?
- Perhaps the money situation is tight at least for awhile
- A condescending parent of the woman who hires the housekeeper
- A bit of f/f romance!
- A bit of angst - as in "I love you but I'm not sure you love me" - it's the usual stuff of not being able to say what's in your heart for whatever reason ... "I'm not good enough" or "You wouldn't want the life I have to offer" and perhaps a struggle with the condescending (homofobic?) parent is involved.

Ideas anyone ?

I really do wonder if this is just one story or two different stories that I've been mixing up - please post any ideas that you have

Well I know it's not the right answer but if you were mixing up 2 stories my first thought was that one would be Debts by Alecto, although I have not read it for years as it's unfinished
