TSN.ca presents its latest weekly power rankings for the 2013-14 Barclays Premier League season. Rankings were weighted evenly between separate lists made by TSN Radio host and soccer analyst Gareth Wheeler as well as TSN.cas soccer editors. 1. Liverpool (Last Week-1) Philippe Coutinho took advantage of a Vincent Kompany mistake to score the winning goal for Liverpool as they defeated Manchester City 3-2. Raheem Sterling and Martin Skrtel also scored for Liverpool who control their own destiny as they chase the Premier League title. 2. Chelsea (LW-3) Demba Ba struck in the 68th minute against 10 man Swansea City to lead Chelsea to a 1-0 victory. The win keeps Chelsea firmly in Liverpools rear view mirror as they battle for the title. 3. Manchester City (LW-2) Manchester City dropped points in both games they played this week. After falling 3-2 to Liverpool in an important title showdown, City needed a late goal to rescue a point in a midweek fixture against bottom of the table Sunderland. 4. Arsenal (LW-5) A Lukas Podolski double and a goal from Olivier Giroud did the damage for Arsenal as they defeated West Ham 3-1. The win helped the Gunners move ahead of Everton in the race for the final Champions League position. 5. Everton (LW-4) Everton scored a 1-0 victory over Sunderland in their weekend fixture before dropping a critical two points in a 3-2 midweek loss to Crystal Palace. Four points was not enough to keep them in a Champions League position. 6. Manchester United (LW-6) Manchester Uniteds game against Hull City was postponed due to Hulls participation in the FA Cup. 7. Tottenham (LW-7) Jonas Olsson own goal, plus goals from Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen led Tottenham back from a 3-0 deficit to grab a 3-3 draw with West Brom. The victory keeps Tottenhams hope of playing in Europe alive and well. 8. Southampton (LW-8) Southampton, safe in the middle of the table dropped a 1-0 result at home to Cardiff City. 9. Stoke City (LW-9) Erik Pieters scored the only goal of the game in the first half to lead Stoke City to a 1-0 victory over Newcastle. Stoke has never finished in the top half of the Premier League but they currently reside there in the table. 10. Crystal Palace (LW-14) It was a huge six point week for Tony Pulis and Crystal Palace that should see them remain in the Premier League. They knocked off Aston Villa 1-0 and then won a 3-2 midweek thriller against Everton. 11. Newcastle United (LW-10) Newcastle dropped their fourth consecutive Premier League contest, falling 1-0 to Stoke City. Over the course of those games they have conceded 12 goals while not replying once. 12. Hull City (LW-11) Hull Citys game against Manchester United was postponed due to their participation in the FA Cup. 13. West Ham United (LW-12) Matthew Jarvis scored the only goal for West Ham as they fell 3-1 to Arsenal. 14. Swansea City (LW-13) Chico Flores picked up two yellow cards in 17 minutes and Swansea were never able to get back on top of the game as they fell 1-0 to Chelsea. 15. West Bromwich Albion (LW-16) After taking a 3-0 lead through Matej Vydra, Chris Brunt and Stephane Sessegnon just 31 minutes into the contest, West Brom was forced to settle for a 3-3 draw with Tottenham. The equalizing marker came four minutes into second half stoppage time. 16. Aston Villa (LW-15) Three more dropped point for Aston Villa as they fell 1-0 at the hands of Crystal Palace. Villa continues to slip closer to the relegation zone. 17. Fulham (LW-18) Hugo Rodallega scored a first half goal to lead Fulham to a 1-0 victory over Norwich City. 18. Sunderland (LW-19) It was one point from two games for Sunderland as they fell 1-0 to Everton before earning their single in a 2-2 draw against Manchester City. 19. Cardiff City (LW-20) Calas 65th minute marker was the difference as Cardiff City defeated Southampton 1-0. The victory provides three important points to the Welsh sides efforts to stay in the Premier League. 20. Norwich City (LW-17) Neil Adams fell in his first game in charge of Norwich City as they lost 1-0 to Fulham. The Canaries dropped their seventh straight road contest and have to finish the season against Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal. I suppose Sternberg has earned the right to speak out since his Rays, despite one of the lowest payrolls in the Majors at $58 million, are entering the final weekend of the regular season holding down the first Wild Card spot in the American League, one game ahead of Cleveland and two up on Texas. http://www.hawksteamofficial.com/ersan- ... ks-jersey/. Ben Street scored twice for the Heat (17-5-1), who won their fourth game in a row and 13th in their last 14 outings. Brett Bulmer scored the lone goal for the Wild (6-11-0), who dropped their sixth straight contest. DeAndre Bembry Jersey . The Rainbow FlickNext up is the Rainbow Flick, or as you probably know it, the trick that everybody at soccer camp thought they knew how to do. Dennis Schroder Jersey . -- Manager Bob Melvin shuffled the Athletics batting order and got the type of production he was looking for from the top of the lineup.KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs could be without their top two pass rushers for a while after Tamba Hali sprained his right ankle and Justin Houston sprained his elbow in a 41-38 loss to San Diego on Sunday. Neither player was in the locker room after the game, but Chiefs coach Andy Reid said both of them will have MRI exams on Monday. Kansas City plays the Denver Broncos, who beat them a week ago, in their crucial return game at Arrowhead Stadium next Sunday. "Im not making excuses," Reid said. "The next guy has to come in and step up." The Chargers (5-6) similarly could be without top running back Ryan Mathews for a while after he left the game with a hamstring injury. San Diego coach Mike McCoy did not disclose the severity of the injury after the game, though Ronnie Brown and Danny Woodhead fared well in relief. Houston was hurt while chasing down a play when Chiefs safety Eric Berry collided with his right arm. Houston was eventually helped off the field, his right arm kept motionless, and helped to the locker room in the waning minutes of the first half. Hali rolled his ankle while trying to get into the Chargers backfield earlier in the second quarter. He was helped from the field, loaded onto a cart and also taken to the locker room. "Its hard to think about it during the game because you have to move on to the next play, but its always tough losing that calibre of players," Chiefs cornerback Brandon Flowers said. "We have players that are backing them up that are more than capable of doing the job."t; Still, Frank Zombo and Dezman Moses arent quite as effective as Houston and Hali, and their absence was felt in the second half.dddddddddddd Philip Rivers had plenty of time and wound up throwing for 392 yards and three touchdowns, the last one to Seyi Ajirotutu with 24 seconds left in the game. It was the eighth and final lead change in a wild game. "We just have to buckle down," Chiefs safety Eric Berry said. "You dont have those guys coming off the edge with that relentless force. We have guys who can step in and play, but we just know as a defence and a secondary we have to bring it." Houston came into the game third in the NFL with 11 sacks, while Hali was tied for fifth with nine. Hali needed two more to pass Art Still (73) for the third most in franchise history. The Chiefs, who had been healthy most of the season, already were playing without starting defensive tackle Mike DeVito because of a knee injury. Allen Bailey replaced him in the lineup. Right guard Jon Asamoah (calf and shoulder) and right tackle Eric Fisher (shoulder) also were inactive after getting hurt in last weeks loss to Denver. Asamoah was replaced by Geoff Schwartz and Fisher by Donald Stephenson in the starting lineup. "This is the National Football League. So when people go down, others step up," Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson said. "We didnt execute the defence as well as we should have. They have some good players on offence and they capitalized every time we made a little bit of a mistake."
