Well I have just kinda been lurking around here for a while and decided to finally say hi. "Hi!" My name is Charlie and I live in Washington (the state). Has anybody been watching the Olympics ? I guess that's all for now. :)

Hey Charlie13! Welcome! Thanks for introducing yourself. My name's Amber and I'm from Missouri. And I've been watching the Olympics off and on as my work schedule permits. I can't believe they're almost over!

Howdy Charlie. Reporting in from Georgia and I've watched a bit of the Olympians, mainly hockey and curling. Even though I know curling is a real strategic game, I still think it was made for housewives on crack.

Charlie, we need a weather report from Washington since you've stopped lurking.

Amber-- where abouts in Missouri are you from? I lived in Neosho for a year when I was four, my Dad was going to school.

Silverwriter01-- I agree with you about curling. I also have been watching alot of hockey and I like the sliding events, bobsled, luge, skeleton. The Weather report it rained yesterday but the sun is out today and it is suppose to be 55 degrees. I live in southeast Washington so we don't get all the rain that the coast does.

Donna & Kugai-- HI!

Hey Charlie. I too have been checking in on the Olympics occasionally. Mostly hockey, skiing, and snowboarding.

Technically this should be under my 'day' thread but oh wells. I'm going to go to a Japanese restaurant with my pookie and then to see the musical RENT that my college is performing. Afterwards, I don't know but around six, I have to start writing my math capstone.

Man, time flies sometimes, doesn't it. I've been working on reading all the contest stories, and I'm having a hard time picking out only two. I like everyone's ideas as they're quite varied and entertaining. Weather finally decided to be nice and the temperature has been in the upper 40's and lower 50's all week. Most of the snow has melted off by now and I can't say that I'm sad to see it go.

I'm from the northern part of MO, in the Kansas City area. I have to admit that I had to look up that town. I had never heard about it before.

Hey Silver, just curious. Did you go to a sushi or teppanyaki restaurant?

Was a sushi place, GinWigs.

Oh, random note, but I'll be in Kansas for part of my spring break. Going to hang out with Meshebe. Then the second part I'm going to a math conference in Elon, NC.

HEY Everybody ! I have been gone for awhile due to computer gremlins, But I'm back and I was wondering how everbody is ? Has anyone done anything exciting lately? I will probably be back soon asking for story recomindation's because I may have to have hip surgury soon. My doc is trying to wait if we can because I'm young (48) I know to some of you that is really old but I dont feel that old most days. :winking2: :heehee: Anyway he is worried that if I have it done now I may have to have it done again in my life and there are not that many doctor's that do redo surgury as he put it. Well any way hope everybody has a great day :)

48 - OMG - juat kidding. I am 48 too. I do not have any hip problems - but a friend of mine - 72 - has just had two total knee replacements and they are doing GREAT. I think it is where your mind is at during this whole thing. Just be positive. that is so important. My thoughts are with you!!!!

Thanks Catseye for the suport. The really bad thing is once we start doing this is I will have to have the other hip and one of my knees . I know it will be better once it is all done, but it is just the fact that I could be recovering from some sort of surgury for over a year or more . But right now as it is I just keep doing what I need to do and try not to let the times when they hurt really bad stop me from doing what I want to do.

Thanks again Charlie

Thank you heinerway :) I dunno where April is, but I'mma kick her butt if she doesn't come around these parts soon. I miss my twin! :)

Thank you Catseye! My apologies on leaving for so long lol I will try my best to stick around.

Hi Charlie *waves*

I've been busy with college stuff. I finally decided where I'm going, where I'll be staying and who I'll be living with. So, I've been loaded with stress BUT I'm excited to graduate. I also thought I'd give a weather update  Just in the spirit of this thread.

Today is a high of 82 degrees F, Low of 61. Little cloud coverage, but very sunny. Good day to hit the beaches, although at the moment they are packed with "snow birds" and tourists. This has been, maybe the 3rd good Beach Weekend since before winter so its crowded out here in Florida. Even I was excited to go out there, and I don't even like the beach much lol

Anyways, I just stopped by to say hello and catch up with you all as I promised. How is everyone else?
I miss you all! :not worthy: :big hug:
