Part 2

Lexa was annoyed at Lord Sera at his term of 'my pet.' She had almost told him what she thought about his term, but stopped herself from doing so. Lord Sera was her boss so for now she did not go against him.

She had been awake earlier when DJ had spoken to her. She had also listened to the entire conversation between DJ and the other men who walked in at the time. Her programming for spying and gathering data said for her to be silent while they were talking so she could figure out what to do.

Lexa had to admit that the mission was a complex one, but she was also sure that she would be able to complete it successfully. The only sticking point that she could see as a problem was escaping after the target had been eliminated. Lexa was not worried because of her abilities she was confident that she could pull it off.

She figured that she would be given a ship capable of hyper speed and would soon be testing herself against the best in the universe. She kept pace with Lord Sera as they walked with Lexa making a map of the compound in her mind.

"Now that you know your mission my pet, I'll introduce you to your new identity that you will be using," Sera said as he walked down the corridor with her. He did not know that she had already been given a name that she liked. Lexa was sure that it would not be the same name.

Walking down the corridors with one looking the same as the others they arrived at a room. Going inside Lexa noticed that there were several computers and a man setting down in front of a computer setting up new programs.

"Ah here we are, meet Alex our best counterfeiter. He has your new ID cards that you will need for your mission," Sera said introducing the man at the computer. "Are the cards ready Alex?" Sera asked as he walked over to where the man was working.

"All I need is her picture and hand print to complete the cards," Alex said not looking up from his work.

"All right my pet, let's get this over with so we can get on to other things," Sera said motioning her on over to where Alex was working.

"If you'll stand right here," Alex said pointing to a spot on the floor in front of a camera. She walked over to the spot, as Alex looked her over. "Wow, I wasn't expecting something so good looking," he said. Her face appeared on the computer screen and Alex turned back to the computer.

"Yes, our 'guest' did a great job, I'll have to reward her," Sera said with a grin.

Lexa allowed the comments to go without any reaction on her part. She was still trying to compute all of the data that she had received and had processed. The one thing that she did know was she did not like the on going reference of 'my pet' that Sera used for her.

Lexa was also trying to figure out what she was 'feeling' towards DJ. She had heard the bit about the 'guest' and she figured that it was possible that they were talking about DJ, the woman she had first seen.

"There we go," Alex said as he punched a button and everyone watched as a card popped out of the printer. He went over and picked the card up. "Now if you'll place your right hand here I'll finish the procedure," he told Lexa which she did. Her hand was scanned and the computer did its work. "Great," Alex said as he slid the card across the reader, "all done," he said handing the card to Lexa.

Lexa looked over the card and scanned the card herself for any major defects that might cause her trouble. The card was a very good replication of an Earth Government ID card that all of its citizens carried. She looked at it reading it and noticed that her height was six feet one inch, black hair, and blue eyes. Taking a look at the picture she saw herself for the first time. She was glad that her hair was at least shoulder length and it would not look to off when her hair was a bit longer.

She then noticed the name that was on the card, 'Jessica Mepet'. Her eyes narrowed at the last name that had been selected for her.

"Here are the rest of your papers, credit sticks, birth certificate and the such," Alex said handing her the papers that she placed with her ID card and tucked them away.

"Perfect, now let's see what type of ship that you will own for your travels," Lord Sera said leading her out of the room.

Lexa, or Jessica as Sera called her, followed him while continuing making her map in her head of the compound. It was something that came as naturally as breathing came to others.

"Lord Sera can I have a word with you?" A man said running up to him.

Sera looked at the man who was a bit smaller than him and smiled a bit. "Sure, I don't believe that you've met my new right hand man, or in this case woman," Sera said indicating Lexa who was standing next to Sera.

The small man looked at Lexa and it was evident that he had not. He shook his head no that he had not as they continued walking to the hanger.

"Her name is Jessica and she is the one who is going to be doing my next big mission," Lord Sera said to the man without glancing at the other man. "Isn't that right Jessica," he said looking at Lexa.

"Yes it is," Lexa said with a fake smile for Sera, which she pulled off perfectly.

"I was just wondering if my delivery was received," the man asked a bit nervously as he wrung his hands together in anticipation of Sera's answer.

"We were just about to check it out," Sera replied to the other man.

They continued to the hanger and the other man walked up beside Lexa. By the way the man was looking at her she had a good idea as to what the man was going to say next.

"How about you and me get to know each other better later on," the man whispered to Lexa as they walked down the hallway.

Lexa glanced at the man and gave him a quick scan with her eyes. He was a bit short, and he looked like he needed a lot more time at the gym or lay off the junk food compared to the others that she had seen in the compound. The man tried to put his arm around her neck to talk to her some more.

She grabbed his arm and he quickly found himself in a bit of pain as his arm was twisted behind his back at an awkward angle. The man was sure that this woman would not break his arm.

"No!" Lexa said simply making sure that the man got the message before releasing the arm. "And if you touch me again I'll rip your arm off and beat you to death with it," she told him watching his face pale at the words.

"All right, all right, no need for anyone to get violent. A simple no would have sufficed," the man said rubbing his wrist. He had felt the power that she had and was in no hurry to feel that power any time soon.

Sera just looked on with a smirk on his face knowing full well that his pet could carry out her threat. A part of him wanted the man to try again, but he knew that the man was smart enough not to try it again. He also would have been a bit sad to see his best supplier of ships die, but it would have been worth it he thought.

"Here we are," Sera said and looked at the ship that the man had supplied for him. He looked at it with approval as he nodded his head. In front of him was a small silver ship. It was flat and if seen from the top had a vaguely triangle shape. It was a TL-5500V series ship, one of the fastest ships in the universe.

"I've had her engines tweaked a bit so she can fly even faster, a I removed a cargo hold to hold the extra power that the engines needed," the man said as his real pride came shining through. Lexa could tell that the man may not be a womanizer, but he took pride in his work.

"Very good," Sera said nodding his head as he looked at the ship. "How much?"

"Three billion credits," the man replied giving Lord Sera a price.

"One billion," Sera counter offered always loving this part of the game.

"Come on Lord Sera, it cost me one billion just to make the modifications to the ship," the man said in reply then made a new offer of his own. "Two billion."

Lord Sera seemed to consider the request for a few seconds stroking his beard before replying. "One point seven billion."

The man thought about the offer for a few seconds trying to determine if he could wrangle a few more out of Lord Sera or not before he finally agreed with the price. It was a bit lower than what he wanted but he also had to deal with that woman looking at him.

"Go by Hank and pick up your money, I'll call it in and he should have it ready for you by the time you get there," Sera said as the man nodded and left the hanger. Sera then picked up a communicator and talked to Hank to let him know about the transaction he had made.

Lexa walked around the ship inspecting it to see exactly what she was getting. The TL-5500V was a small craft that only needed one person to pilot quite easily. It was usually used by the wealthy and usually cost around five billion credits. She wondered if the ship had been stolen.

"So, what do you think," Sera said as he walked up to her as she continued to inspect the ship.

"Is it stolen," she asked wondering what his answer would be.

"Naw that would put me at risk. He buys the ship from the original owners, usually those who want something else, a newer or just trying to get rid of overhead," Sera said still walking around the ship with her. "Its also amazing what the truly rich will throw away, but best of all is its totally legit."

"Good, that might have proven to be an obstacle in leaving if it had been stolen," Lexa answered.

"Here," Sera said handing Lexa a credit stick. "Buy yourself anything that you feel that you need for your mission. The card has a credit limit of one billion credits. I don't know what weapons you will need to do so I leave it up to you."

"I was going to ask you about that," Lexa said taking the credit stick.

"Just don't return unless the bitch is dead, all right my pet," Sera said coldly watching her as she glanced at him.

"Don't worry about it," Lexa said just as coldly. "It's as good as done."

Lexa plotted a course the moment she got on board the ship. Lord Sera wanted her to do the job right away. She knew a place where she could go and buy weapons that no one would care about. The place she was going was not a place that a common person would even think of going to because of the people that made up the city's population.

She headed toward the moon that she knew hid the city from the rest of the universe. The city was snuggled into the moon of the distant planet. She circled around the city and came in for a landing at the landing platform.

After landing the ship she proceeded to head into the city looking for a certain bar. She looked around the city and noticed that it appeared to be clean, but the people had a look of those you do not want to anger. Lexa was not sure if she would not be mugged just walking down the street.

Lexa spotted a bar by the name of 'The Lioness' and walked inside. The bar was dimly lit with soft music being played by a person at an old style piano and there were few people sitting around at the tables and the bar. She scanned everyone inside the bar for someone she could recognize. In the corner of the room she spotted a little known weapons dealer. Lexa would have skipped over the man, but he was a specialist for special weapons.

Lexa walked over to where the man was and sat down at his table. He glanced up a bit annoyed at the intrusion of his peace.

"I don't like visitors, so get lost," he said motioning to a couple of his men who came walking over. They were obviously bodyguards by the way they walked on over.

Lexa merely stared at the approaching men for a second. None of them seemed to even be threatening to her so she turned her attention back to the man she had been talking to.

"I'd like to buy a weapon," she stated simply still looking at the man still looking at the man.

"Now what would a pretty thing like you want with a weapon," one of the large body guards said as he came up next to the chair that Lexa was sitting in. He looked her over and did not see the danger that the woman could pose as all he saw was the beautiful features of the woman.

"My business, not yours," Lexa said slowly looking up to the man.

"Look, I don't talk with no names, now get lost," the man said giving another hand movement to his guards who closed in on Lexa.

"Come on honey," one of the large guards said placing his hand on Lexa's shoulder. His other partners came on over as well. One went to the other side of the woman and also placed a hand on her shoulders.

Lexa felt a hand on each of her shoulders. The two guards were going to try and escort her out of the bar, but she had other plans. She made a quick glance at where the guards were. It was also obvious to her that the only way that he would listen to her was for her to teach his guards a lesson.

"Now gentlemen, and I use the term loosely, don't you know that it's impolite to grab a woman," Lexa told them and heard a snicker come from the bar. Before the men had a chance to respond she hit both of the men on the chins. They both went flying back and landed heavily; one on a table breaking it and he passed out. The other one groggily stumbled back up as the other two rushed forward to help out their fallen partners.

Lexa quickly got to her feet and turned around to face her other two attackers. They stopped for a second at the speed that she had gotten up with.

"Boys, come on now, I only want to buy something," she said a bit condescendingly to them as they looked on. The man was still sitting at the table watching everything with a close eye. This woman intrigued him, and he had a feeling that his guards would be no match for her.

After the brief hesitation on the guards' part they rushed Lexa again. The first one to reach her threw a punch that she easily avoided, then brought her elbow up and slammed it into the man's face. She heard the crunch of bone and knew that she had broken the man's nose as he dropped heavily to the ground.

The fourth one stopped as he saw how quickly the tall dark haired woman had dropped three men in less than a minute. He glanced back and forth between his three companions, his boss and the woman not sure what to do.

"Enough," the man at the table said to the remaining man. The guard slowly backed up a bit. "Sit back down and let's hear what you have to say pretty lady," he said with a wave to the seat.

Lexa turned back to face the weapons dealer. She could her the other guard helping his fallen companions up.

"Like I said, all I want is to buy something," Lexa said repeating what she had said when she first sat down.

"I'm not some cheap dealer," the man replied now curious as to what the woman wanted.

"I know, and what I need only you carry," Lexa said. "I need to purchase a special weapon, a Mark XXXI Series 3 PPC."

"Is that all," the man asked as his eyebrow's rose up to the hairline. "It won't be cheap. It will cost you one point five million."

"Sounds reasonable," Lexa replied. "But do you have one?"

This time the man grinned at her before responding, "of course I do."

"Good, you can deliver it here in a couple of hours," Lexa told the man handing him the information of where her ship was.

"It'll be there," he replied.

Lexa nodded her head and got up to get a drink.

"Enjoy the show," Lexa said to a white haired older gentleman. His white beard gave him a look of a distinguished person, and he looked a bit out of place.

"Ah little lady, yes I did," the man said getting a raised eyebrow at his comment. "I enjoy a good fight, especially when people deserve it. I run a little side business that could use someone like you, what do you say?"

"Nope," Lexa replied then taking her drink and downing it in one gulp walked out of the bar. She still had some tasks to complete before she returned to her ship. She was looking for someone in particular as she had a specific task that she wanted done.

It took several bars and was about an hour later when she finally saw the man sitting by himself in a corner of another bar. She had learned a bit in her travel on how to talk with men.

"Hi there," Lexa said with a sexy smile. She had learned that most men responded well when a small amount of charm and sex was applied, nothing overbearing but enough to gain their attention.

"Hello," the man said along with a nod of his head. Lexa realized that he was being careful talking with her.

Lexa decided not to play any games with this man. She put a piece of paper face down on the table and slid it across the table. He picked it up and scanned her writing and looked back at her.

"Two eh," was all he said.

"Its a rush job," Lexa replied. "I needed the best."

"Fine," he said writing something on the paper and gave it back to her. "Be there in one hour," he said and then left the bar.

Lexa calculated the time in her head, it would be close, but she could make it there. All she had to do was find a map and she would be able to get anywhere in the city. She left the bar and headed back to her ship before her first package arrived.

She was standing in front of her ship awaiting the arrival of her package when she noticed a couple of people walking her way. She was on guard as she did not know exactly what they wanted and it was always a good idea to be on guard. She watched as a middle-aged woman glanced around then locked eyes with her.

"You must be Jessica," the woman stated as she walked up to her.

"Yes I am," Lexa replied to the woman as a couple of other men stood off to the side watching the interaction.

"Then I have a delivery for you," the woman said waving the other two men over. Lexa noticed that only one was actually carrying something.

"Put it inside," Lexa said with a motion of her head indicating for the man to go into the ship. Lexa watched impassively as she followed the man.

The woman and the two men watched as Lexa took the weapon out of the box and inspected the weapon. Lexa examined every part of the weapon and was finally pleased with the weapon she put it down and picked up her credit stick for payment.

"Here's your two million as promised," Lexa said knowing that it would confuse the woman.

"Two million, I thought it was one and a half," she stated confusion apparent in her voice.

"Consider it a bonus," Lexa said watching as they took the payment and left the ship. She carefully dismantled the weapon and placed it in its hiding spot. Then arming the ship went to the address she was given to pick up her last package.

She made her way to the house that was written on the address. She knocked on the door and waited for a few seconds until the door was opened. She walked carefully into the house making sure that she was not walking into a trap.

"I'm just finishing up, but I need your picture and hand scan," the man said from another room. Lexa walked into the room and noticed that he had quite a collection of computers. The man was sitting behind one of the computers typing away.

"Fine, where do you need me," Lexa replied and waited as the man pointed to a place on the floor in front of a camera. She stood while he took her picture and waited for a second while he worked on the computer.

"Place your hand here," he said handing her a hand scanner. The familiar blue scanning light went across scanning her hand. He then swiped the card and handed her the card.

Lexa smiled at the ID card. Even though she already had an ID from Lord Sera she wanted her own. Looking at the card she read the name, 'Lexa Cabon' and a soft smile came to her lips.

"Good job," she said as she realized that his work was better than the person working for Lord Sera. "Here's the payment I promised," Lexa said handing the man the money.

She passed several groups that were out walking around on her way back to the ship. Most of the conversations that she heard were the usual conversations about jobs, the weather and such. One conversation gained her interest however, and noticed that it was coming from two men.

"I tell ya Harry, if Sera gains anymore control over the colonies it will be the end of our independence," one of the two men were saying. Lexa was under the impression that everyone thought that Sera had been killed yet here was a person talking about control that Sera had over the colonies. Something did not make any sense to her.

"Well what can we do about it, everyone thinks that Sera is dead and most people don't trust Earth Council either. We both know that Yayan is scared to make a move, his power base is still too fragile," the other one called Harry replied to his friend.

"I heard that girl, uh, what's her name," the other man said snapping his fingers in an effort to remember the name. "DJ, that's it, DJ Seylitz, she's on the terrorist side. Which means that she is probably working for Lord Sera."

"Really, that's interesting," Harry replied his voice rising just at bit in excitement.

"Apparently Earth Gov. found out that she had been receiving lots of e-mails and promises of power, even her own planet if she helped certain groups," the other man said.

Lexa thought about the name DJ Seylitz for a second and was surprised when she realized that she knew the woman. DJ was the same woman that she had awakened to when she first came on line.

Lexa reviewed everything that she could about DJ to see if what the men were saying was true. DJ was a brilliant computer designer and developer. In fact she was regarded as the greatest computer developer in the universe.

Lexa remember that the young woman did not look like she was there by choice. The clothing that she was wearing did not look like something that she would wear either. Lexa thought that something did not look right. Lexa decided that she would have to investigate this some more.

She quickly walked back to her ship with the new information. Something did not add up to her and she wanted to find out what it was. She had a feeling that something important was at stake.

A couple of days later Lexa arrived at the Earth after leaving her ship at the moon. She passed through customs without any problems. She booked her return flight back to the moon city of Luna under a different name just in case.

Taking the space elevator down from the space station she gradually felt Earth's gravity assert itself on the passengers of the elevator. Once off the elevator she noticed that there was a television news station in the lobby and it was broadcasting about the Millennium Towers opening in Singapore and that the President would be there to open the building. It only took a few minutes to clear the elevator's building and she walked out into the sunshine of Earth. She found it to be quite different from the other places she had been to.

Everywhere Lexa looked there was open space and lots of air. She also knew that the scientist had worked very hard to clean up the planet's atmosphere and restore its biorhythms. This was the result; paradise had been reborn on Earth.

Lexa grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder and hailed down a taxi. Giving the driver instructions to a hotel in Singapore where she could recharge her batteries and then consider her next course of action. Her first plan would be to learn the President's schedule while in Singapore.

Once she arrived at the hotel, which had a nice layout and not too expensive, she would begin her recharge process. It was a simple process, all she had to do was rest like a normal human and her batteries would recharge automatically by the food she had eaten earlier. In extreme cases she had the ability to use the sun to recharge, but it was a much slower process.

The President would becoming to the city tomorrow and Lexa wanted to be far enough away from the route so she could make a clean getaway. She was slightly concerned about what would happen if her mission was successful.

Lexa walked into her hotel room and sat down on the bed. She thought about what would happen after the President was killed. What did Lord Sera hope to gain from her death, as the only thing that Lexa could determine was the death and destruction her actions would bring.

Not being able to rest she decided that she would make sure that her weapons were clean and ready for action. Lexa did not anticipate having to fight her way off Earth, but she was not going to chance anything.

As she checked the power cells of her handgun an idea came to her. The plan would be risky, but far more desirable than what she though Lord Sera had planned.

Lord Sera gave a tug to the leash he had in his hand. The leash was attached to a collar that was around DJ's neck.

DJ walked behind Lord Sera whom she was beginning to despise. So far he had paraded her around like a trophy. Her outfits were becoming more outrageous and she had an idea as to what he wanted her to become, a slave for his own amusement.

There was only one thing that allowed her some sort of satisfaction. She had programmed Lexa for revenge against Sera if anyone in his organization killed her. The only thing she had to do was keep it a secret.

DJ glanced down at her outfit once again in disgust. Sera had her dressed as a belly dancer, the only problem was it was without panties and the bra might as well be nonexistent. The places that he led her were usually cold as well, which did not help out her situation.

Another thing that DJ did not like was the fact that Lord Sera made sure that she was the center of attention. Then whomever he was meeting would want a feel off of her. Of course Sera would always allow it making DJ feel like his personal slut. She guessed that it was better than being with Callie. DJ was not sure that she would survive a night with Callie.

They arrived at a small room, which was occupied, by a couple of men and one woman. They were dressed quite well making her wonder who this person was. The room was also cold as usual causing goosebumps to appear on her arms.

"Lord Sera, always a pleasure," the nearest man said to Sera then looked over to where DJ was standing. "And who is this lovely creature," he said moving over to take a good look at DJ watching as a small shiver when through the small body.

"This," Sera said putting his arm around DJ giving her breast a squeeze then releasing her and nodded his head.

The closest man reached out and fondled DJ's breasts and pinching her nipples.

"Looks to me like she enjoys this," the man said with a laugh as the others joined in as well. DJ felt the humiliation of her situation.

"Just wait," Sera told him with a laugh leaving DJ wishing that she were anywhere else in the universe.

"Now, what did you want to discuss with us," the man said with his hands still mauling DJ's breasts.

"I have some information that I think you might want," Sera said to the man. "A war is about to begin between the Colonies and Earth. As we both know there is bad blood between the two for several years now. I've also heard that several others do not like the way Yayan is running the colonies."

"Hmm, that's true, not many of us do," the man said with a smile as he finally moved away from DJ much to her relief. "That means a power struggle will happen right when the war begins, just the opportunity Earth government needs to take over again," he said with disgust at the thought.

"That was my thought as well," Sera said with an internal smirk at the words. He had this man right where he wanted him.

"Damn, that means that there is no one left in the colonies with a large enough power base to successfully challenge Earth government," the man said thinking about it all. "You have the power, but the people don't like you, Gregory has lost most of his top people, and Hans is struggling with an internal civil war," the man said not saying anything about him.

"And you are financially strapped for cash," Sera said.

"Ah, yes," the man said not really confirming what his situation was, but he knew that Lord Sera had his spies and knew all about his troubles.

"We also know that Gregory is an incompetent leader, and that Hans is a wimp. The man should have never tried anything. You have the forces, and I have the finances that you would require," Sera said with a wave of his arm as he left the rest unsaid. He knew that this man would pick up with what he was saying.

The man turned his back to Sera and thought about what Sera had just said. He wondered about the arrangements that Sera had made, but he was not sure if he wanted to team with the man, but he could see no other way around it. He turned back around to look at Sera. "I'll have to think about it and let you know," he said.

"I wouldn't wait too long Kaiser, you know that there are others who would jump at this opportunity that I'm offering you," Sera said.

"I know, but you also know that I don't rush into things without some consideration, especially with something like this," the man said turning to his companions and they began to walk out of the room. "You'll have your answer tomorrow," he said at the door then walked out of the room.

"Fine with me, I look forward to hearing your answer Kaiser," Sera replied with a smile that the other man missed. Everything was falling into place just as he had planned.

He had placed high bounties on the top officials of Gregory's operation, and he had orchestrated the internal bickering that Hans was having. He was also behind the financial problems that the man was having. A smile came to his lips as he walked over to where DJ was standing. He looked at her for a second before taking her breasts in his hands. "Perfect," he said with a smile on his lips as he gave the breasts a painful squeeze making DJ wince.

"Are you sure about this," a hushed voice said with disbelief.

"Yes, this is what I want to be done before morning, and this is what needs to be done tomorrow," a female voice said with conviction. "Now, can you do this or not. It is a simple request."

"Yeah, I can do it," came the reply after a moment of hesitation before continuing. "Its anything but simple. Why do you want this done so quickly," he said questioning the woman.

"That's not your concern, just carry out your orders. There are problems around, and we have the opportunity to solve everything now," came the reply from the female.

"You're the boss, and I'll do it, but I don't like this one bit. How do you know that your information is correct and that you can trust it," he replied back still wanting to argue this matter.

"It's no longer open for discussion just do what I say," this time he noticed that the female voice held a note of finality to it. "I want it ready to go in the morning."

"Fine, you'll have it," the other voice said as he left the room.

Lexa woke up the next morning recharged and ready to go. She knew that today was the day that she would finish her mission. Soon she would be headed back to Lord Sera's hideout. She had done some research about the man and what she had found out disturbed her. He was a ruthless person who did not care about others at all.

Lord Sera used everyone he had ever come across, yet the man still held a powerful force that was completely loyal to him. Lexa felt that a lot of it was because the man was extremely wealthy. Lexa had also reviewed the other powerful figures that were in the colonies.

There was the current leader, Yayan. He was an older man who wanted to end the feuding between the colonies and Earth. He had some ties with the current president of the Earth Council. There were many in both the colonies and Earth who felt like Yayan did, but they were not as vocal as he was.

Lord Hans was one of three current know colony 'lords' who were alive. Hans was a younger man in his mid thirties and was very arrogant. He was currently holding off an internal battle and Lexa figured that he would not do much in the upcoming battle.

Lord Gregory was a person who held on too long to the past. Most of his power had drained away in the past couple of months. At the moment his power was almost non-existent and he was no threat to anyone at all.

"Lord Kaiser was the strongest of the three 'lords'. He still held a powerful presence in force, but his wealth was his current downfall. A war would be just the thing for him to turn his empire around.

Lexa figure that Lord Sera had been influential in the current state of the three lords and the weakened states that they were in. Yayan would prove to the most difficult person for Lord Sera to topple. Sera would have to be able to sweep aside Yayan's views and turn the people against him.

Lexa waited patiently for her target to appear. The President was supposed to make an appearance at the opening of the new building, the Millennium Tower. The building was the largest in the world and had been in design mode for over one hundred years. The materials had finally come in and construction had finally been completed.

The President was going to be there to help open the building to the public. It would be able to house, serve, and provide jobs for an entire city. It was to help overcrowding in Singapore as housing had become more severe.

Lexa had a position that had a perfect view of where the President would be speaking. Lexa had to make sure that the President was in public view when she killed her.

A large crowd had already gathered for the celebration that was scheduled to occur later in the day. Lexa could not help but feel a bit sorry for what was about to happen, and what they would witness.

Lexa watched from her small area as the celebrations began and the celebrities began arriving in their limos and fancy cars. There would be several speeches by some of the top officials of the area, such as the mayor, and senator of the area.

Finally after about an hour the President stepped up to where the podium was sitting. A yellow ribbon had been placed behind the podium where the President would cut the ceremonial ribbon.

Lexa steady her weapon, as she made sure that it was loaded with the proper ammo. She carefully looked through her scope and checked the distance once again. She carefully recalibrated her scope and made another adjustment for the wind and lined up her shot. Her finger applied gentle pressure as she made sure everything was lined up just right.

The President turned back around giving Lexa the shot she wanted. Her finger squeezed the trigger and the rifle fired without a sound. The protective glass shattered in front of the president and she fell backwards.

Gary sat watching the opening ceremonies but his mind was still back at the meeting he had earlier in the day with the president. He had given a small speech earlier in the morning and he said what a significant structure the building was in the history of humankind.

He was still wondering about it when he heard the sickening shattering of glass. Quickly looking up he saw the protective glass still falling to the ground. Movement caught his eye and he saw the President hit the ground. He could already see blood beginning to pool around her as the secret service rushed to her aid.

The men and woman of the secret service began yelling out instructions as they moved to do their jobs amid the screaming, running people. They quickly carried her off to a waiting car and whisked her away from the scene. Many of the bystanders ran the opposite way while a few were just standing there looking shocked.

Gary was jolted by his own secret service as they rushed him to a waiting car. He was pushed into the car and noticed that the Vice-President Shi-Lin was also in the car with him. They glanced at each other as they felt the car accelerate to rush them to a safe location.

Gary remained quiet for a few minutes while he contemplated his next move. He would have to phone his wife to tell her that he had not been hurt. He had decided that he would not mention his conversation with the President earlier in the morning. He had a feeling that something was going on, and he wished that he knew whom he could trust.

"I have a feeling that this will be a setback," Shi-Lin said breaking the silence in the car.

"I believe you're right," Gary replied not saying anything else as he remembered that Janice said for him to trust no one, and that he should be prepared to stop a war. He felt that a war was almost unstoppable now.

Lord Sera was sitting down in his favorite seat watching the news programs. He was watching them for some good news that he was expecting any day now. A reporter bringing an urgent news bulletin suddenly interrupted the program.

"This just in," she began with a bit of a shaky voice. "Moments ago at the Millennium Tower there was an assignation attempt on the life of President Janice Harriton. The condition of the president is not known at this time, but the news is not expected to be good. The attack happened when Harriton was going to cut the ceremonial ribbon officially opening the towers to the public."

"Yes," Lord Sera said pressing a button waiting for one of his people to come into the room. He had a smile on his face as he waited.

"You rang sir," the man asked as he walked into the room.

"Tell Raven to begin his operation," Sera said watching as the man walked out of the room to carry out his command. Everything was falling into place just as he had planned it. The smile on his face grew bigger as he thought about everything.

Lexa walked into the space dock with her luggage and a carry-on in her hands. She waited in line for the next available teller. She glanced around and noticed that the security was tighter than normal.

"Next," came the call and Lexa walked over to the woman's counter.

"Hello," Lexa said handing over her documents and ticket.

"Thank you, it'll be just a second for conformation," the woman said as she scanned Lexa's ID card and ticket. A few seconds later everything came back and the woman handed Lexa back all of her documents. "There you go Ms. Cabon."

"I'm sure that security is pretty tight, do you know how long it will take to get through security. I'm just wondering if I will have time to eat once I'm through," Lexa said making a bit of small talk with the woman.

"Its pretty tight with the assignation of the President there are police and soldiers everywhere," she replied glancing around at the terminal. "And getting through security will take you about thirty minutes."

"Thanks, I should have enough time to eat once I get up on the Space Station," Lexa said as she took her ticket. "Hope you have a better day tomorrow."

"Thank you and you too," the woman said with a bit of a laugh.

Lexa left the counter and headed toward the security area. They had set up more metal detectors and got in line for one of them. After a fifteen-minute wait she finally got up to the front. She presented her ID card and walked through the detector. She was not concerned about her metal skeleton. The metal would not set off any metal detectors.

The officer scanned the card and then looked at it for a few seconds. Looking at the screen he then made a quick call and then faced Lexa.

"Miss, would you come with me please," he said as another officer came on over and helped the man escort Lexa to his office.

"Is there a problem," she asked in a helpless female voice.

"I'm afraid that you're from the colonies and that I'm going to have to ask you some questions. We are going to have to detain you for a little while to checkout your story," the man said as he sat down.

Lexa sat down in the chair and waited while a check was done on her background. She was not really concerned and knew that she would be out of there in a short while.

The man across from her was about to ask her some question when a young freckled face man came walking into the room with a worried look on his face.

"Captain, we are to release her immediately," he said to his captain as another person in a well-dressed suit followed the younger man into the room.

"Now what just a second," the captain replied standing up. Lexa remained seated just watching what was about to unfold.

"This is a top secret priority," the man said to the captain then turned to Lexa. "You may go, I'll handle this."

Lexa rose and went to her boarding gate with a smile on her face. The little addition of national security to her card meant that she would be rescued if anything happened and they would take care of everything.

Lexa went the rest of the way to the elevator to the space station undisturbed. The elevator opened allowing its passengers to leave and the next group to board for the next trip into space.

Lexa sat down in one of the seats and buckled her belt for when the elevator left Earth's gravity. She felt the pull of the elevator as it began its ascent to the space station. She felt the gravity lessen and watched as people's hair began to rise around people's heads.

The ride took a while but it was not long before they arrived at the top where the space station was located. They waited a bit for the gravity engines to work before the doors were opened. The station was where everyone came to go to their respective loading areas. She found her shuttle to the station that would take her to the moon and where her ship was located.

Gary fell down into the chair that was in the council room. He had been escorted back there after the assignation of the President. He had heard that there were several council members who already wanted to go to war with the colonies after what had happened.

Gary knew that the war would be a drastic measure, and one that should not be approached lightly. He also knew that the President would not have wanted war at all. She had told him herself what she had thought.

It did not take long for the news to be announced to the council. The President had died from her wounds and there was already an investigation underway. This news did not go well with many of the council members. Those who had been calling for revenge now yelled out their opinions so everyone could hear them.

"We should go and destroy the rebels in the colonies like we should have done years ago," one council member said who was sitting next to Gary. "We already know that they are the ones behind it, why should we wait for an investigation at all," he said as if he had all the answers.

"What if you're wrong," Gary asked looking at the man.

"Then it'll be worth it to get rid of those idiots in the colonies," the man replied not really hearing what Gary had to say.

Gary could only shake his head in amazement at the stupidity of what the other man had just said. It truly amazed him that as much as the colonies and Earth did not want anything to do with each other, they seemed to be constantly looking for a fight.

The preliminary intelligence report came in a bit later. It seemed that a terrorist group was already claiming responsibility for the attack. They also claimed that it was the only way for the colonies to be free and that their attacks would continue until their demands were met.

This news caused an even bigger uproar than the initial report of the President's death had caused. Several more council members were now ready to go to war against the colonies.

Gary had a sinking feeling that if war came then it would not be good for either the colonies or the Earth.

Lord Sera watched the taped version of the assignation of the President with DJ sitting by his side. She felt sick as the man rewound and played it over and over again.

"What a beautiful sight," he said as her put the video on slow motion to capture the entire event forcing her to watch it again. "And to think, you made it all possible," he said with a chuckle as DJ paled a bit more than she had been previously.

DJ was now wondering if she had done the right thing in creating this monster for Lord Sera. He has so far used her to make a weapon to kill the President, a nice woman who she had briefly met at a diner for the university a couple of years ago.

DJ remembered being impressed by the woman's ability to see all sides of a situation and find a solution that would be reasonable. She did not always have the best solution, but it usually pleased more people than she had angered. Now DJ felt like a traitor to everyone, including herself.

The communicator rang startling DJ as Lord Sera picked it up. He already knew who would be calling him.

"Lord Sera, I think that we need to talk," the voice said and DJ recognized it as the man Sera had called Kaiser.

"Then let's talk," Sera said with a grin that the other man could not see. "Have you given anymore thought to my proposal?"

"Yes and I think you're right," Kaiser replied. "When can we meet?"

"Tomorrow, by then we should have more information and we can begin our move," Sera said.

"Fine, then I'll see you tomorrow," Kaiser said as the communicator cut off.

"Well, looks to me like my pet worked perfectly, now its time to celebrate," he said picking up a bottle and opening it took a long drink then hitting a button for some of his people.

Lexa went straight back to where Lord Sera was hiding out. He would want to talk with her as soon as she landed. She also wanted to see what the next part of Lord Sera's plan was. She needed the information for her next move.

Her ship landed perfectly inside the hanger of the hideout and she walked out of the ship. The hanger was bustling with activity and she could see that most of the activity was preparations for war.

Lexa wondered what side Sera was going to attack first. He could attack the colonies to make it look like Earth forces were invading or that the colonies were launching a pre-emptive strike. She would find out in a few minutes.

"Welcome back my pet," Lord Sera said as he watched Lexa walk down the ramp of her ship.

"Did I pass," she asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Perfectly," Sera replied with a smile on his face. "Soon I'll have complete control over the colonies," he said quietly but Lexa was able to hear him with her enhanced hearing.

She wondered what this man would stop at to gain what he wanted. She figured that he would probably sacrifice everything for goals, and the only thing that could stop him would be his death. She was getting sick of the 'my pet' thing that he continued to call her with.

"Come with me, my pet. I have a gift for you," he said as they walked out of the hanger.

She followed him to the same room where she knew that she had been created. Walking inside she noticed that nothing much had changed except one thing. DJ was strung up in the middle of the room stripped naked. It was obvious that something had happened to her.

Whip marks covered the young woman's body as she hung limply on the restraints. Lexa watched as Callie proceeded to whip the woman some more.

"I see that Callie has been busy during the celebration," Sera said as he smiled at Callie's work and could not help but adjust himself.

"Yes it is," Lexa replied grateful that she could control her response and emotions better than any human could. She had spent the entire flight back thinking about the young woman. She knew that the woman did not deserve what was happening to her right now.

After a few more strokes Sera's communicator beeped and he was informed that his new guest had arrived.

"Callie, enough," Sera said to her interrupting her as she was working. "Cut her down and follow me, our guests have arrived."

Callie was disappointed that her fun was over. She was just beginning to get into the swing of things, if one could call it that. She had not even begun to really torment the young woman. But Callie smiled to herself; there would be time for that later, that was for sure.

Callie ran her hands over DJ's breasts and then down cupping her sex before finally cutting the woman down. DJ fell heavily to the floor as she had passed out some time ago from the pain that Callie had inflicted on her.

"I'll see you later my pet," Sera said with a caress of Lexa's face then he walked off to his meeting leaving Lexa alone with the passed out DJ.

Lexa walked over to where DJ was lying and began to examine the woman's body for injuries. The young woman seemed to not be badly hurt, but the whip marks would require salve or else they would scar.

Lexa walked to the door to see if there was anyone around. She spotted no one and went in search of a medlab where she could get supplies. It took a few minutes before she found the room, but she was glad that no one was in there. She explored the shelves and found something that would help, but not what she really wanted.

Lexa walked back into the room and noticed that DJ had come to. DJ seemed to shrink back when she noticed Lexa walk into the room as Lexa recognized the fear in DJ's eyes.

"Relax, I have something that will help with the injuries, and hopefully prevent them from scarring or infections," Lexa said in a gentle voice for DJ's sake.

DJ still did not say anything but she watched warily as Lexa slowly approached her.

"Here, lie down so I can put this on you, it'll make you feel better," Lexa said holding out what medicine she had for DJ to see. DJ slowly laid down as she realized who Lexa was and allowed Lexa to apply the salve to her injuries. A few times she groaned at the pain but otherwise made no noise.

As Lexa tended to the woman's wounds she noticed that her sex was inflamed. Lexa realized that the young woman had probably been raped as well as whipped. An unfamiliar sensation passed through Lexa. It was something she was not well aware of as she realized that anger was setting in. Lexa realized that she had to get the young woman out of there before she was killed for Lord Sera's amusement.

Lexa handed the salve jar for DJ to apply to her front Lexa quietly watched the woman. There was something about DJ that touched Lexa in a place she had not been programmed for, something she did not understand.

"You need to get out of here," Lexa said quietly to the woman. DJ looked up a bit surprised as Lexa spoke to her. "If you stay then Lord Sera will eventually kill you, but you will go through even worse torture than what you have been through."

DJ thought about it even as her shoulders slumped. She knew that what Lexa said was the truth, although it was a bit disheartening to hear it from someone else. To her it did not matter, he had already destroyed her life.

Lexa watched as defeat clouded the young woman's eyes. Lexa then walked over to where they kept DJ's clothes and picked out an outfit.

"Put this on," Lexa said throwing the outfit at DJ. She then took off her jacket and gave it to her as well, that would cover the woman's private areas better. "Put it on and let's get out of here," Lexa said making up her mind about what to do.

DJ looked at her a bit confused at the actions that Lexa was doing.

"Come on, Sera is occupied with a quest. The halls were empty and I believe that we can make it my ship," Lexa said to DJ. "Now, do you want to get out of here then we need to move now."

DJ thought about it quickly. She was not sure what to make of Lexa's decision, after all she had programmed the android, but it was expressing emotions even better than she had ever hoped for. Making up her mind she reached out and put the clothing on then the jacket covering what the clothes did not. As long as she kept the jacket closed she would be covered.

Lexa smiled as the young woman put on the clothes that Lexa had given her. DJ then stood and waited for Lexa next move.

"Come on," Lexa said as she walked to the door. She carefully opened the door and looked out to make sure that no one was in the hallway. She grabbed DJ's arms and led her to the hanger.

The trip took longer than normal as Lexa stopped at a few places to access the control system. DJ figured that it had to do with the hanger doors, but was not sure. She knew that Lexa could be leading her into a trap, but there was something there that made her follow Lexa like a puppy dog.

'There I go again, think of Lexa as a human,' DJ thought to herself. After watching the assignation she had never wanted to see the android again, yet here she was leading her out of the hellhole that she had been brought to.

"See that ship," Lexa said pointing to a smaller ship with its ramp down. DJ nodded her head as she looked in the hanger. "That's where we are headed. When I tell you I want you to run as fast as you can there," Lexa told her as she walked out of their hiding area.

Lexa walked towards one of the men on duty. Lexa had counted four guards and she already had a plan ready to take all four out.

"Hi there," she said as the man turned around to see who was talking to him. Lexa then knocked out the man with a quick jab. One down and three to go Lexa thought to herself. The other three would be harder, but she figured that she would just kill them.

DJ saw the signal for her to run for the ship. She gave a quick glance around and too off running for the ship. She heard someone call out to her, and then some muffled sounds that she did not recognize. She reached the ship and without stopping ran up the ramp. Looking around in a panic she found a hiding spot and sat there waiting.

Lexa watched as DJ started to run for the ship. She knew that the guards would concentrate on DJ and would not notice her until it was too late. She raised her weapon and fired three times dropping all of he remaining guards then ran to the ship.

"DJ, are you in here," she called out as she walked aboard the ship. She saw a blonde head pop up from behind a box and smiled as she went to the pilots seat. Within a few minutes the ship was powered up. A quick activation of the thrusters and the ship flew threw the shield that she brought down. There were few ships on patrol, but her ship had greater speed and entered hyperspace before they could even respond to her presence.

"Lord Sera, there's a problem," a man said running into the room where he was talking with Kaiser.

"It can wait," Lord Sera said with a growl as he eyed the man coldly. He had ordered everyone to leave him along while he was talking with Kaiser.

"Sir, its Jessica," the man said nervously and watched as Sera excused himself from Kaiser and walked over to where he was standing.

"What is it," Sera hissed with anger making the other man quake with fear at what he had to say.

"She just took off, and we think that she took that girl with her as well," the man said hastily.

"What!" He yelled making the other man jump back almost two feet. "Callie, go with him and find out what happened," he said turning to Callie who got up and walked on over.

Normally Callie would have said something, but Sera's face told her that whatever it was it was important. She would wait to see what it was.

"Kill him as well," Sera whispered softly to Callie as she passed and watched as it brought a smile to the tall blonde's face.

"My pleasure, my lord," Callie replied gleefully as she walked past and went out of the room with the man.

"Is there a problem," Kaiser asked when Sera returned to sit down.

"No, someone just stole something from me, but they'll be caught. You know how it is with some people, they never learn. I'll just teach them a lesson for the rest of the group and it will be something that they will never forget," he said with a cruel smile.

"Well, getting back to business, do you really think that the Earth military will attack the colonies," Kaiser asked wanting to get Sera's honest opinion. He had a feeling that Earth would attack, all they had ever needed was an excuse an now with the assignation they had it.

"My only thought isn't if, but when. It will depend on how long it takes their military to organize and for their leadership to run the political gauntlet after the President's death," Sera replied. "I'd say about three to seven days before they attack."

"Then I guess we have some planning to do," Kaiser said making Sera grin.

"Yes we do," Sera replied as they began to talk.

DJ quietly made her way to where she thought the pilot's area was on the ship. So far she had not felt the ship being under attack or anything else so she assumed everything was going well. She looked in and saw that Lexa was sitting in the pilot's seat and was keeping an eye on the controls. DJ saw that they had made a jump into hyperspace so she relaxed a bit.

"I was wondering when you were going to make it up here," Lexa said as she turned to face DJ who jumped at the movement. She was not expecting Lexa to move when she did.

"Have a seat," Lexa told DJ motioning to the chair beside her.

DJ looked at the chair, then at Lexa. She had a brief internal struggle with herself as she thought about Lexa. DJ had created her to be a ruthless spy and killer for Sera, yet she seemed to be really concerned about her. It was an odd mix that DJ found to be intriguing.

DJ finally accepted the offer and sat down in the chair as she continued to watch everything that was going on around her. She looked back out the window and noticed that in hyperspace the view was very pretty. The stars seemed to move on their own as they streaked by. DJ suddenly wondered where they were headed.

"Where," DJ asked pointing out into space.

"We're going to a place I stopped at on my way to Earth the first time, a place called Stique," Lexa replied noticing the look that DJ was giving her. The woman's eyes had grown wide and her face had paled a bit. Lexa moved to reassure the young woman. "Don't worry, there are several hotels and places where we can get you some clothes, and you will not attract attention. It is also a good place to dump this ship and but some tickets to Earth."

DJ still did not relax much at the thought. Stique was not a place that one just casually went to. It was a known place for the criminal underworld. Earth government had not done anything to enforce laws there, so the place grew. If a person wanted to hide they went there. The city was also full of bounty hunters looking for the criminals with a high price tag on their life.

DJ had heard that the town did have local law enforcement, controlled by the criminals. Even the criminals did not want to be robbed.

DJ thought about the rest of the city for the rest of the trip there until she noticed the domed city on the small moon. The atmosphere on the planet was not thick enough to fully support life, but it had enough that one could survive for a short time.

She watched as Lexa landed the ship on the small landing pad. She then turned to look at DJ.

"Do you want to stay with the ship, or come with me," Lexa asked after they had touched down.

DJ thought about it for a second. If she stayed then she would be the alone, and she was not sure she wanted to be alone just yet. On the other hand if she went with Lexa then she would have to face people. It would either be alone and maybe trapped, or be with Lexa.

"I'll go," she finally replied as they stood up and DJ wrapped the jacket tighter around her for some sort of protection.

"We will need money," Lexa said as she proceeded to lead DJ to a small bar near the spaceport. DJ felt nervous as they walked into the bar and she imagined that every eye was focus on her as she walked behind Lexa.

"Sit here," Lexa told DJ as she led DJ to a small table in the corner of the bar. DJ sat down gently on the one of the chairs. "I'll try to and be quick. I think I already have a buyer for the ship," Lexa said then moved over to where there a man she recognized from the first time she had been there. The man had asked her if she had a ship for sale, now she did.

"Hi there," Lexa said as she walked up to an older man standing at the bar.

"Well, what do you want, besides a good time," he said with a bit of a smile and Lexa wondered if the man could even get it up any more.

"You asked me earlier if I had a ship for sale," she said watching as his eye's sobered up.

"That I was, have you changed your mind," the man asked suddenly interested.

"I might if you're still interested," Lexa replied with a bit of disinterest in her voice.

"What type of ship," he asked hoping for a fast ship.

"A series VII," Lexa replied. "The engines have been modified to go faster and have a longer range than the normal Series VII. Unfortunately there isn't much cargo room."

"How many cargo rooms," the man asked.

"Only one, the other was taken up by the modifications to the engine and additional fuel," Lexa replied.

"More than enough for me, but let me see if before we discuss the price," the man said.

Lexa was about to reply when she saw movement out of the corner of her eye. "Excuse me just a minute, I need to rescue my friend," she said then walked over to where three men had walked up to where DJ was currently sitting.

"Hey there missy, you looks like yous could use some protection," the man said as his eyes roamed over DJ's body making her feel like a piece of meat.

DJ's mind froze the moment she saw the men walking towards her. She would be totally outclassed and she knew nothing about defending herself. A small shiver of fear went through her body. One of the men laughed and put a large hand on her shoulder allowing him to look down on her.

"Hey guys, she ain't wearing anything underneath this jacket," he said as he peered down at her while giving her shoulder a squeeze. The others joined in at that comment and knew that they had found their entertainment for the night.

"I suggest that you let go of my friend," a cold voice said cutting through their laughter. The one who appeared to be the boss turned to look at the dark haired woman who was now standing next to him. He refused to see the cold eyes that were locked on him.

"Ah, two's even better," the man said with a laugh as he reached for her as well. He was not expecting his hand to be intercepted before he could even touch her. Lexa then bent the man's arm back to the point where it would not take much for her to break it. "Aaahhhh, yos bitch. Yos going to break my arm," he cried out.

His other two companions seeing the situation their boss went to help him. Without releasing her grip on the first man she kicked the nearest one. He went flying backward into the wall and slumped down to the floor.

"Next," Lexa said eyeing the other man who backed off as he evaluated the situation again. He had only wanted to have some fun, and this new woman was no fun at all. Coming to a decision he ran out of the bar leaving the other two in the bar.

"Tommy yos coward," the one who was the leader called out as he watched the man run out of the bar.

"I think that he's the smart one," Lexa said as she finally released the man's wrist. He flexed his hand a few times then threw a punch at her. She easily caught the fist and slowly began to squeeze. The man howled again as he felt the pain as the bones in his hand broke under the pressure that Lexa was squeezing at. Lexa then gave the man a head butt and he slumped to the floor unconscious.

"Let's get out of here," Lexa said to DJ who still had not moved from her spot the entire time. Lexa placed a hand gently on the woman's shoulder and tugged her up.

DJ for her part was still trying to recover from her shock as she felt herself being tugged up by Lexa. DJ looked up into Lexa's blue eyes and noticed how pretty they were. They were a deep shade of blue and she wondered if she could ever duplicate them. Then without warning she threw her arms around Lexa in a hug and held on for dear life.

Lexa was a bit stunned by what had just happened. It was a reaction that she was not expecting and she searched her memory for something to do. She recalled everything that she knew and figured that the young woman needed some comfort. She wrapped her arms around DJ and rubbed the smaller woman's back in a comforting manner.

"Sorry," DJ whispered as she let go of Lexa.

"Don't worry about it. Come on, we've got a buyer to entertain," Lexa said motioning her head to the older man taking a sip of a drink at the bar.

DJ walked behind Lexa to where the man was standing finishing off his drink.

"Ready," Lexa asked as they approached the man.

"Anytime you are," the man replied trying to ignore the young woman beside her. He had seen how fiercely she had protected her and did not want to get on the tall woman's bad side. "It's about time someone put Paulie in his place. He's been terrorizing the woman for a while. I would've paid money to watch that."

They walked over to where their ship was. The man was talking with Lexa while DJ was trying to figure out what had just happened. She had felt something when she was in Lexa's embrace. She felt protected for the first time in her life, like Lexa would be someone who would always be there.

People wondered why she had always been shy; the truth was people frightened her. They had always been trying to dominate her because of her small size. Sometime she had wished to be taller, them maybe other would not try to control her. With Lexa she had found a person, well an android, who seemed to want to protect her even though it had not been programmed.

DJ put her thoughts to the back of her mind when they approached the ship. She watched as Lexa dealt with the man.

"Wow," the man said when he saw the ship. "Are you sure that you want to part with such a fine looking ship," disbelief evident in his voice.

"Yes," Lexa replied without hesitation

"I'll give you two billion for it right now," the man said not taking his eyes off the ship.

Lexa thought about the price for a few seconds before making a decision that she would accept. He still had not looked away and she figured that both she and DJ could be naked and he would not look.

"What's the name on the account," the man asked.

"Lexa Cabon," Lexa replied not seeing DJ's head snap around at the name.

Within the hour the money had been transferred to her account and they walked away.

"Now to get you some clothing," Lexa said looking down at DJ's face.

DJ was too wrapped up in her thinking to really hear what Lexa had said. Somehow when DJ had giving Lexa her name she had been awake.

Lexa led DJ into a small clothing shop. The shopkeeper cheerfully greeted them as they walked into the shop. He pointed out some clothing that would fit DJ as Lexa took it to the changing room where DJ was.

DJ picked up the closest outfit and took off her jacket. Seeing herself in the mirror almost made her cry. Her skin was covered with whip marks. She did not want anyone to see her like that. She saw that the first outfit covered her quite well.

They completed their shopping and went back to the spaceport to see about getting a transport back to Earth or the moon. Lexa found a transport that was headed to Earth, but would not leave until tomorrow morning. Lexa told the man that it was fine with her, they agreed with where to meet. She left with DJ to find a hotel room and some dinner.

Lord Sera paced back and forth in the room. His anger was growing with each passing step he took. His new toy had been taken, or by some of the accounts he had heard help that woman DJ escape. He fumed that he had left them together; it was a mistake that he would not make again that was for sure.

Callie walked into the room giving the report that they had lost five men in the hanger. Sera did not care about the men; his primary concern was that he had lost his new toy without even getting to use it very much. He had enjoyed the young woman very much and was looking forward to seeing what the android could do.

Callie watched as her boss passed around the room. She always knew that the android idea was a bad idea and had argued against it when he had first proposed it. She did have some fun with DJ, and the small woman would have been fun to enjoy. Now she worried about her job as her boss was know to kill anyone if it fit his mood.

"Any news about the ship. We did put a tracer on it just in case," Sera replied, but he already knew the reply.

"Apparently your new toy ditched it. We found it on an old space freighter headed to the moon," Callie replied.

"Damn," he cursed. "That little bitch, I should have killed her after the President was assassinated," he almost screamed as he threw a cup across the room and watched as it shattered into a million pieces.

Callie flinched a bit as the noise echoed through the room but wisely remained silent. So far every lead that she could find had turned up nothing as well, so she remained silent on that one, as she did not want to anger him any more. She did have an idea as to where DJ might go eventually. The only problem was it would mean making contact with someone and that could break open their entire plan.

"My lord," she said deciding to go ahead and see what he thought. "We could make contact with our operative on Earth and see if Lexa or DJ has contacted him.

Sera thought about Callie's idea for a few seconds weighting the pros and cons of the idea. On one hand it could risk all he had planned. On one hand he knew that DJ would want to head there and then he would have them, but his pet might not. "Do it," he ordered watching as Callie walked away to carry out his order.

It was a calculated risk, but one that he was willing to take the risk. He would be able to get back his toy and punish the other. A smile crept its way onto his face at the thought. DJ had felt wonderful and he wanted another go at her.

"You need to eat," Lexa said to DJ as they sat at the table in one of the restaurants. They had found a nice place near the hotel that seemed clean. It was an expensive place, but with the sale of the ship they could afford it. It was a place where the rich hung out so Lexa knew that they would not be harassed here.

DJ had expected there to be some staring at them when they walked in, but to her surprise no one even looked their way.

Lexa had ordered a small appetizer for herself while DJ had ordered a chicken breast pasta dish. It was good, but she just did not have much of an appetite at the moment.

"You need to keep up your strength DJ for you to recover. That also reminds me, we need to think of a disguise for you. If you're seen it could blow our cover after all, you are well known," Lexa said looking at DJ. "I have an idea, but we will need to change your hair a bit for this to work."

DJ looked at Lexa with a question on her face as she grabbed her hair with her other hand.

"I don't think that we will have to cut it, but I think dying it would help us out a lot," Lexa said looking at DJ a bit more closely. "Perhaps black, we could say that you are my daughter."

DJ looked at her with a bit of shock on her face at that thought, and then shrugged her shoulders. She could always wash it out after everything had calmed down again.

After a quick stop at the local store for some supplies they went back to the hotel room. Lexa insisted that DJ do her hair right now. DJ wanted to protest but Lexa was insistent that she dye her hair right now.

DJ came out of the bathroom a while later. Lexa had to admit that the young woman, no matter her hair color, was quite stunning. Lexa wondered where that thought came from before concentrating on DJ again. Her blonde hair now matched Lexa's black hair. Lexa tossed the young woman some clothes that they had brought and DJ realized that it was the leather set.

DJ held up the clothes with a questioning look in her eyes.

"It will fit your new image. If you dress like you did then everyone will wonder a bit about you," Lexa said reasonably. DJ had to concede that point and took the clothes into the bathroom to change. When she emerged again she had on leather pants, a white blouse with a leather vest. A pair of sandals completed the ensemble.

"It looks good on you," Lexa teased and was pleased to see the other woman blush a bit. "Come on, we have one more stop to make before we are done tonight."

DJ walked with Lexa glad that she had changed clothes as she fit into the surrounding neighborhood a bit better. It was one of the seeder sides of town and she wondered what Lexa had in mind being here.

They walked up to a small house that seemed to blend in with the surroundings. Lexa walked up and knocked on the door. It opened after a few seconds and they walked inside. DJ was amazed at the amount of computer stuff that was lying around. A skinny man walked up to Lexa and they nodded at each other. DJ could only assume that they knew each other.

"Here you go," the man said handing Lexa a card. Lexa took it and rubbed her fingers over the surface of the card. "Is she the subject," the man asked.

"Yes," Lexa said motioning DJ forward.

DJ came forward and stood where he asked her to. Her picture was taken and then she realized what he was doing. This man made counterfeit cards and she was going to have a new one. The man finished with her picture then got her handprint. He finished the card and handed it to her.

She looked at for a few seconds. There was her picture, and her hair was black. That was something that she had never seen before. She then noticed the name on the card, it was Dawn Cabon. Looking up at Lexa she realized that they now had the same last name.

Lexa paid the man, as she really did not care how much it cost. She would worry about money later. They left the house and made their way back to the hotel. Lexa was pleased that the card came out so well. She would not have to worry about DJ's identity being discovered.

Rubbing her fingers over the back strip to make sure that there was no tracking devices implanted on the card and was pleased when she had found none. She really did not think that there would be, but she was taking no chances about anything. Most people did not know who the man was and she was going to keep it that way.

"Get some sleep, tomorrow's going to be a long day," Lexa said after they arrived back at their hotel room. She watched as DJ took on of the beds and after shedding her clothing and putting on a large shirt to sleep in quickly went under the cover. Lexa laid down in the other bed and began her recharge state.

Gary walked into the large office of the President. He waited until Shi-Lin looked up and Gary could not help but think when the last time the man had slept was.

"Have a seat Gary," Shi-Lin said as he took a moment from his reports. He picked one up and tossed it at Gary. He caught it and scanned it through it before looking up again.

"Are you sure about this," Gary asked with a bit of disbelief in his voice.

"Intelligence has doubled checked their sources and tell me that its true," Shi-Lin replied. He had a feeling that the senator would not believe everything. "I know that politically we have not been friends, but we need to provide a united front on this one."

"I understand, what do you need from me," Gary said looking up at Shi-Lin.

"We need to catch him this time," Shi-Lin replied and Gary nodded his head in agreement. "I think we should allow the military to build up, but we need more information on the next part of whatever his plan will be."

"We need his target, without it Yayan will not be able to help us out," Gary said reasonably. "This is going to be a big risk allowing the military to build up. This is something that could blow up in our faces."

"I know, but right now we are not ready to pull out our trump card just yet," Shi-Lin said with a bit of a smile on his face.

Gary was not sure what he was talking about, but hoped that it he had a good back up plan. They were playing with hundreds of thousands of lives in that they thought that they could stop a war once it started. Gary felt like they were at the brink and a slight push would mean war.

Lexa was brought out of her recharge state by some unusual noise coming from inside the room. She quickly scanned the room and did not notice anything out of place, or anyone else in the room. The only one else in the room was DJ who appeared to fast asleep.

Lexa was about to go back to sleep when she heard the noise again. This time she realized where it was coming from and quickly got up from her bed and made her way over to DJ's bed. DJ was beginning to make small noises that Lexa could not quite make out yet. Quietly Lexa got up and walked over to make sure that the woman was all right.

Lexa noticed that DJ was in REM sleep by the rapid of DJ's eyes. DJ began to toss about and Lexa heard her say 'no' quite a few times and Lexa recognized what was happening. The young woman was having a nightmare. Probably about what had happened earlier in the day.

Lexa had to figure out how to help the young woman and did what she was familiar with. She sat down on the bed and gently tried to wake DJ up. "Come on wake up DJ. Its okay, you're safe," Lexa repeated gently until DJ came bolting upright. She was now wide awake.

DJ's body was shaking as she struggled to get away from the grasp. It took a few seconds until she realized that Lexa was the one holding her. She blindly reached out and grabbed onto Lexa as DJ pulled comfort from an unlikely source. Lexa was a bit surprised but just gently held DJ wondering why the woman would reach out to her. After a few minutes Lexa realized that DJ had no intention of letting go and lay down on the bed and wrapped her arms around DJ.

DJ relaxed a bit and managed to slip back into sleep with the knowledge that Lexa was there. She had a feeling that Lexa would protect her from anything, even her nightmares.

Lexa noticed that DJ had fallen back asleep. Lexa decided to try and slip out from underneath her when the smaller woman suddenly tightened her grip. Lexa was still confused by DJ's behavior and she had a feeling that probably always would.

Lexa reviewed what she had done in the past day. She had rescued DJ from Lord Sera, stolen one of his ships, sold the ship, brought clothes and a new ID card for DJ. She had killed four men, beaten up three other when they had been too threatening to DJ. Lexa thought about her actions and they did not make any sense to her. It went against her programming, but it felt good.

She decided that she would think about it later after everything had played through and life could return to normal, whatever that was. For now she would allow DJ to sleep on top of her.
