~ I Belong To You ~

Disclaimer: Standard- Mine? *snort* Get real.

Love/Sex- Only if you're squeamish.

What is this?- Yet another piece of fluff. This is actually just a little snippet of fan fic that's, once again, a PWP. I saw a particular spoiler pic for season six and my mind took off. It's all about emotions, and has nothing to do with what I think will happen in the ep, or any spoilers of any kind. I'm still a learning bard, so be gentle, hmm?

From her position nestled against Xena's knee, Gabrielle reached up to cup her soulmate's face with one hand. "It's going to be okay. I really believe that."

A shaky smile has her answer as a long hand captured the one against her face. Both women's hands, now joined, began a gentle stroking against the warrior's tanned cheek, eyes drinking each other in.

Xena felt a pang in her chest that she only knew to express with three words that stirred the cool, sweet night. "I love you."

Gabrielle smiled. "I love you, too." Was the only response she could verbally give for emotions that were not new, and yet so very confusing. She knew what she felt, and what her heart desired. Knew that Xena wanted it, too. That was where the clarity ended - at the unknown that plainly stated to hold back, not giving a reason why.

Xena, experiencing much the same reaction to the currents running between them, studied Gabrielle intently before slowly, not hesitantly leaning down to lightly brush her lips against the tulip-shaped invitation beneath her.

Sweet contact was established before the dark head pulled back, eyes gauging her love's reaction. She didn't expect rejection, but the look of utter adoration gave her a gentle start. Xena didn't have long to study the bard before the blonde hair moved to once again mingle with her own as Gabrielle resumed the loving exploration, slowly moving to search other areas.

For the inexperienced bard, this contact was expected to be alien and new. To some extent, it was, and yet there was a familiarity between them that was very reassuring.

Xena was not inexperienced with kissing or physical contact of any kind. She was, however, inexperienced with making love, but decided that it was very nice, indeed, as a melody of adoration and trust rang cool and clear to the stars twinkling above.

'So this is home...'
