Part XXIV

After three years Gabrielle and Ephiny had finally grown into their godly powers with a great deal of assistance from Aphrodite, Hades and Blaise. All close to the women were ecstatic that they had finally gotten a grasp on using the gifts of their godhood after many trials and tribulations with learning when and how to use them. No one was hurt in the process, although Xena was slightly grazed by an errant fireball thrown by Gabrielle who was practicing, and the hair on her arm grew back fairly quickly. Aphrodite and Hades were thrilled that Gabrielle and Ephiny had accepted them as their parents and had become a large part of their daughters lives, which made their transition into godhood that much easier.

The twins had become quite a handful for Ephiny and Blaise as they juggled their busy lives around their children's. Jordyn attended school in the Amazon village while Chayce attended school at Olympus, considering the rules the Amazons had with males in the village, he fit in perfectly at Olympus. Ephiny and Blaise agreed that Chayce would follow in her footsteps and eventually be the God of War and that Jordyn would assume Ephiny's role as Regent. She would serve under her cousin Jade who would take Gabrielle's place as Queen of the Amazons when the time came. They made a decision that if the children wanted to pursue other interests as they got older they would try to advise them in the best possible way, but for now they believed that their children would assume their important duties when they were older.

Both children kept Ephiny and Blaise quite busy with their various activities outside of school and with their precocious nature. Jordyn was a smaller version of Ephiny and possessed her mother's curly, dirty blonde hair. Her hair was much shorter than her mother's and she had Ephiny's hazel eyes, as well as her feisty personality. Chayce was a miniature version of Blaise with dark wavy hair that just barely touched the top of his shoulders and piercing blue eyes. He possessed a quiet, thoughtful and sensitive nature. He could be very assertive for his young age and was adamant about wearing dark clothing as his beloved 'Booma', as he affectionately called Blaise, no matter how hard Ephiny tried to put him in different clothing. The twins had a habit of getting into mischief quite easily, particularly Jordyn. They were convinced that the reason Chayce was caught up in so much naughtiness was from his sister's doing and that she loved to get her brother in trouble. Blaise and Ephiny knew they were in for a rough go of it with those two.

Xena had become a liaison between the Amazons and the surrounding villages after Gabrielle asked her to accept that role to allow her more challenging activities, which Xena gladly accepted. She would travel with and for Gabrielle on any mission to settle disagreements with the vastly growing Amazon nation and the surrounding clans in the region if either Gabrielle or Ephiny could not do so. Eponin who had assumed the majority of Xena's training obligations to afford her more time for her other duties, but was still the ultimate authority with the training of the Amazons. She also handled various assignments for Blaise and rarely was gone for longer than a day, which pleased her as well as Gabrielle. Their daughter Jade was nearing her third birthday and was growing quite tall, like her warrior mother. She possessed Xena's blue eyes, dark hair, which fell to her shoulders and features, which pleased her Amazon mother. Xena and Gabrielle were pleasantly surprised by how far advanced her speech was for her age and that she was highly intelligent as where her cousins Jordyn and Chayce.

Cyrene was staying at Blaise and Ephiny's house, babysitting her grandchildren, as they were on a short getaway together. Cyrene and Xena stood out behind the house watching the children play.

"Xena I can't get over how much Jade looks like you. It's like looking in mirror." Cyrene mused proudly as she watched her granddaughter toss stones into the lake behind the house.

"She looks like me, but she is all Gabrielle, which I'm very pleased with." Xena turned to her mother and smiled happily.

"How so?" Cyrene asked looking up at her tall daughter.

"Her personality is exactly like Gabrielle's. She's loving, caring, considerate, unselfish, sensitive, she loves to have Gabrielle tell her stories, there isn't a mean bone in her body and she doesn't have a temper." Xena explained adoringly as she proudly watched her daughter giggle with her cousins Chayce and Jordyn as they skimmed the rocks along the water.

"It sounds like she is equally you and Gabrielle." Cyrene mused and smiled.

"Let's hope she stays that way and doesn't acquire any of my bad ways." Xena looked at her mother with a smirk and looked back at the children.

"Xena, give yourself some credit that you turned your life around and have done wonderful, kind things for people." Cyrene encouraged as she lovingly rubbed her arm.

"I know, mom, but I can't change the person that I was." Xena answered with regret and looked down, guilty of her sins of the past.

"No, but you have helped so many people and all you can do is try to be the best person you can be for the rest of your life, love her and be there for her when she needs you." Cyrene gently and lovingly advised.

"You know the thing that worries me is that Jade will one day find out what kind of a monster I was and I can only hope she doesn't hate me for it." Xena looked up with tear filled blue eyes, and then looked back down, hoping her daughter would never feel crossly towards her.

"Xena she idolizes you and she loves you very much. She would never be that way towards you." Cyrene attempted to reassure her worried daughter.

"You don't know that, she's so sensitive towards life and living creatures. She is so much like Gabrielle in that aspect and I fear she may hate me for the things I did when she finds out."

"Listen, she loves you and will see the same in you that Gabrielle sees. The real you and not that monster you were. She will love you no matter what, I promise you that." Cyrene smiled and wrapped her arm around Xena's waist pulling her closer for a hug.

"I hope you're right mother." Xena said softly as she leaned her head against her mother's, watching as Jade approached them.

"Are you sad mama?" She asked with a concerned look as she glanced up at her tall mother.

Xena released the hug and squatted down before her. "No, baby I'm fine." She smiled reassuringly as she looked at her daughter.

"How come your eyes are wet then? You look like you were going to cry and I don't want you to be sad." She explained with a worried expression etched on her face.

"Oh, sweetheart no I'm not sad I was happy because I was talking to grandma about you." Xena smiled comfortingly and playfully poked Jade on the tummy to lighten the mood. She didn't like it that her daughter was worried about her.

"Okay, but I don't want you to be sad mama." She added and placed her hands on Xena's shoulders resting them there as she stared deeply into her mother's mirrored blue eyes.

"Well than give me a big hug and a kiss and I won't be." Xena smiled and chuckled when her daughter quickly engulfed her in a hug. She felt a catch in her heart when she felt the love and warmth in her daughter's hug.

"I love you mama." Jade whispered in her ear as she hugged her tightly.

"I love you too my sweet girl." Xena answered softly as she reveled in the feeling of having her daughter in her arms and allowed her tears of joy to fall unchecked.

"Jade, what do you and your cousins say to helping grandma make some cookies?" Cyrene asked sweetly after Jade broke the hug and Xena turned away so her daughter wouldn't see the tears streaking her face.

"I say let's do it grandma!" She answered excitedly and clapped her small hands together.

"Good! Chayce! Jordyn! Come on kids!" Cyrene called out and watched as her grandchildren looked up at her with a smile.

"We are going to make some cookies!" Jade yelled out excitedly and waved for her cousins to join them.

Cyrene and Xena chuckled as Chayce and Jordyn sprinted towards them after hearing the word cookies. She held Jade's hand and turned to Xena. "You and Gabrielle go do something together, alone and have fun. I'll watch the kids." She offered with a smile.

"Are you sure you can handle all of them?" Xena smirked, unsure as to whether her mother knew what she was in for with those three.

"Hey, I handled you and your brothers, I think I can handle these three." Cyrene answered with a confidant smile.

"Okay, good luck. You three behave for grandma you hear?" Xena warned while pointing her finger at the kids as she looked down at them.

"Of course mama." Jade smiled broadly.

"We will auntie." Jordyn smirked as she looked up at her tall aunt, with mischief on her mind.

"Especially you." Xena playfully winked and watched as Jordyn tugged on Cyrene's skirt and Chayce grasped her hand.

"Let's go make those cookies!" Cyrene chuckled and walked away.

Xena smiled as she watched her mother walk away with Jade in one hand, Chayce in the other and Jordyn pulling her by the dress. 'Poor woman, she doesn't know what's in store for her.' She mused with a chuckle and headed off to find Gabrielle.

Ephiny stood at the bar drinking the port from a mug and growing more agitated with her lover who was late, when an attractive woman approached the bar next to her. Ephiny glanced over at her and smiled when their eyes met. She finished her drink and placed it on the bar, then motioned to the bar keep for another.

"Can I buy you a drink?" The woman asked in a husky tone.

Ephiny smiled appreciatively as she looked at the attractive redhead with green eyes. "No thank you, but I appreciate the offer." She smiled and inwardly chuckled that the woman was hitting on her as she picked up the mug of port and took a long sip of the beverage.

"Are you here by yourself?" The woman inquired as she turned to Ephiny.

"At the moment yes. I'm supposed to meet someone here who is very late." She explained, aggravated even more by Blaise's tardiness.

"I can't imagine why someone would leave a beautiful woman such as yourself unattended for even a brief moment." The woman replied with an alluring smile.

'Like I don't get enough of these pick up lines from Blaise. I have to get them from this one too?' Ephiny thought slightly amused by the situation and smiled cordially. "Thank you that's very nice to say."

"It's…aah the truth." The woman stammered obviously pre-occupied as she looked past Ephiny to the door.

"Something wrong?" Ephiny asked with a smile, not turning around, but knowing by the look on the woman's face that her interest was peaked by what walked in the door as she stood in a trance.

"You should see the babe that just walked in." The woman stated in awe, her eyes transfixed on the attractive woman.

Ephiny took another long sip and smiled. "Does she have dark wavy hair and the most beautiful blue eyes you've ever seen? The kind that you could lose yourself in if you looked into them?" She asked in a low seductive tone.

"Uh-huh." The woman muttered, never relinquishing the stare upon the beauty she had in her sights, her mouth agape as she watched the person approach from across the bar.

"Is she tall with a sexy yet cocky swagger that when you watch her you would swear she moves in slow motion?" Ephiny asked, having fun teasing the woman.

"Oh, yeah." The woman answered as her eyes widened and she swallowed hard.

"Does she look like she has a smile to live for and a kiss you would want to die for?" Ephiny asked, egging the woman on.

"Absolutely." The woman answered barely audible in complete awe. "Do you know this person?"

"Let's see…" Ephiny paused with a smile and sniffed the air for the familiar cologne. "Yes, that's my wife." She answered with a chuckle as Blaise wrapped her arm around Ephiny's waist and kissed her cheek.

"Hi baby. I'm sorry I was late." Blaise whispered in her ear and kissed her cheek again.

"I'll forgive you one of these days." Ephiny teased and felt the butterflies in her stomach flutter from Blaise's contact.

"Dance with me." Blaise requested in a whisper and grasped Ephiny's hand, leading her away from the bar to the dance floor.

"You are a very lucky woman." The woman commented, envious as she watched Ephiny pass by her.

"Yes, I am." Ephiny agreed with a smile and a wink as she followed Blaise to the dance floor.

Blaise found an open spot and turned to face her wife, pulling Ephiny into her strong arms for the slow dance.

"Where have you been?" Ephiny inquired with a loving smile as she gazed into Blaise's wanton blue eyes.

"I was sidetracked by two little terrors." Blaise grinned.

"Two terrors?" Ephiny was confused by her answer, moving as one with her partner to the slow dance.

"Those children of ours that take after you." Blaise teased with a smirk.

"Me?" Ephiny asked defensively.

"I heard a very pissed off Warrior Princess calling me and had to scope it out. They had grandma tied up and Auntie Xena covered with food from a food fight." Blaise laughed, as did Ephiny.

"You're kidding? Where was Gabrielle?" Ephiny chuckled and nervously chewed her lip, knowing what an imposition the twins were on everyone with their behavior.

"No, I'm not kidding. Xena mentioned through her tirade that Gabrielle was taking a long, hot bath for their date. I think we are going to have to find new sitters next time." She laughed remembering the evil and not amused look on her sister and mother's face.

"They take after you by the way." Ephiny teased as she kissed Blaise on the chest and snuggled closer. "Did you straighten our twin terrors out?"

"Of course, but you know they're perfect little angels when I'm around." She joked, thoroughly enjoying the closeness of her wife. Blaise looked down at Ephiny. "So, whose your friend?" She asked with a sly grin and shifted her eyes to the bar where the woman was still sitting, then back to Ephiny.

"She wanted me." Ephiny taunted with a playful smile.

"Who doesn't my love?" Blaise asked flirtatiously and flashed a sexy smile. She leaned down and passionately kissed Ephiny as they seductively swayed to the music.

"Where you jealous?" Ephiny asked after breaking off the kiss and flashed a sultry smile as she peered up at Blaise.

"Well, yeah because I wanted to join in." Blaise answered softly and ran her tongue along Ephiny's lips before capturing them with a seductive kiss.

"Oh, really?" Ephiny teased, her arousal mounting.

"Do you want to ask her to join us?" Blaise whispered provocatively with a wiggle of her dark eyebrows.

"Hmmm, no." Ephiny smiled. "I don't want to share you in the bed chamber with anyone." She answered in a stern tone and slid her tongue in Blaise's mouth, while lacing her fingers behind Blaise's neck to deepen her kiss.

A man who bumped into the pair, pushing them back, interrupted their kiss. "Oops, sorry." Blaise commented as she glanced over at the culprit.

"Yeah, whatever." The man answered in an agitated tone.

Blaise looked at Ephiny with surprise. "Did I just miss something?"

"Yes, this." Ephiny answered and kissed Blaise again passionately. "Put your leg against me baby." She whispered through her sensual kiss sending a throbbing sensation straight to Blaise's sex.

"Ooh, baby!" Blaise whispered in obvious delight and pressed her thigh against Ephiny's moist center. She passionately kissed her and looked at Ephiny mischievously when she broke the kiss.

"What is that look for?" Ephiny asked with a skeptical expression wondering what Blaise was up to. "Do you want to see me with the other woman?" She hoped that wasn't what was going through Blaise's mind.

"Oh, no, no, no. No one but me touches your luscious body baby." Blaise answered with a sly grin.

"Ooh, baby." Ephiny smiled and sank into a sensual kiss that Blaise offered.

The pair knocked heads when the same man from before bumped into them. The fury in Ephiny from being interrupted raged within and she moved away from Blaise to face the man. "Alright you son of a bacchae, we've had enough of your crap!" She angrily told him.

"What are you going to do about it sweetheart?" He asked tauntingly as he stared Ephiny down.

"Trust me. You don't want me to wound your manhood!" Ephiny yelled threateningly and moved closer. Blaise stood nearby with a sly grin on her face watching her wife take the man down a notch. "You really don't want a piece of this action buddy." Ephiny snapped warningly as she stood her ground to him.

Blaise leaned towards her ear and whispered, "baby, your fiery passion has turned me on so much." Ephiny smiled slightly and slapped Blaise's leg for her to step back.

"No, I think I do want a piece of this action." The man countered threateningly.

"That's because you're an idiot!" Ephiny shouted and shoved the man into a group of people across the dance floor.

"BRAWL!" Someone shouted and everyone began to fight.

Ephiny turned to Blaise in disbelief who laughed at her wife. "You're one tough, yet sexy cookie baby. Kiss me!" Blaise demanded and took Ephiny in her arms, aroused by the actions of her wife.

"DUCK!" Ephiny broke the kiss and shouted as Blaise moved and Ephiny punched a would be assailant in the mouth. "Where were we?" She asked as Blaise kissed her and kicked another person to the ground without breaking the kiss.

"Baby, you really know how to excite me don't you?" Blaise asked with a sly smile.

"DUCK!" Ephiny shouted before a chair flew over them.

"I think the dance floor is too crowded. What do you say we clear some room?" Blaise suggested with a mischievous smile.

"Kiss me for luck first." Ephiny grinned as she looked at Blaise while both remained in a crouching position.

"Ooh, honey you make me so wet!" Blaise answered huskily, then kissed her and smiled after the kiss. "You ready?" She asked with a wide grin.

"Let's do it." Ephiny chuckled as they stood back to back, clearing the brawling patrons from their path. Blaise back flipped over Ephiny to face her. "What are you doing?" Ephiny laughed.

"I needed another kiss to go on babe." Blaise teased as she took her wife into her arms for a kiss and kicked the offender approaching Ephiny from behind.

"Blaise, we have to get out of here because I want you to take me baby. I can't stand it any longer." Ephiny whispered flirtatiously and deepened the kiss as Blaise lifted her up in her arms.

"I love you Eph." Blaise said softly with a smile and put her back down, then entwined her fingers with Ephiny's.

"Then show me just how much by making love to me like you have never before." Ephiny requested with want in her hazel eyes.

"Ooh, baby. You so turn me on!" Blaise answered with a sly smile as she kissed Ephiny, then led her through the crowded bar to the door, effortlessly clearing the drunken brawlers out of their way. Blaise reached into her vest and pulled out a pouch of dinars. She tossed it to the bar keep and winked. "That's for the damage my wife caused."

Ephiny and Blaise laughed as they exited the tavern and made their way to the inn they were staying at. Blaise led Ephiny down an alley and stopped. They faced one another and Ephiny took Blaise's fingers in her mouth seductively licking and sucking each one as she stared into Blaise's deep blues.

Blaise's arousal heightened and what Ephiny was doing sent her over the top. She took Ephiny in her arms and moved her against the wall pressing her body against her Amazon lover. She moved in for a deep, wet kiss as Ephiny wrapped her arms around Blaise's neck.

Blaise stood up and removed her scabbard by dropping it to the floor, then stripped off her vest as she locked eyes with Ephiny who smiled with anticipation as she waited for her attractive lover. Blaise slowly climbed on top of her and kissed Ephiny as she pulled Blaise's tunic out of her pants in a quest to feel the smooth, muscular skin of her god of war's back.

Blaise's heart pounded out of her chest from her desire for Ephiny. It was all she could do to hold back and slowly make love to her. She wanted to devour Ephiny's sex and take her quickly. Blaise broke the kiss and looked at Ephiny as she gasped for a breath trying to calm her desires.

"What's wrong baby? Are you okay?" Ephiny asked as she pushed Blaise's hair off her face.

"Well, I always get excited when I'm with you baby." She answered and felt herself calming down. "I was this excited when I kissed you for the first time. It was a good thing I was standing in cold water or I would have gone crazy." Blaise admitted with a loving smile, while lightly stroking Ephiny's hair.

"You're not the only one that was glad they were in the cold water honey." Ephiny laughed and kissed Blaise's chest over her heart. "Are you feeling better?" She asked and lay back, looking into Blaise's alluring blues.

"Much." Blaise whispered and leaned down, kissing her.

Ephiny broke their kiss. "Aah, Blaise…" She stammered and was unable to contain the smile that swept across her face. "Tell me honestly if you don't want this okay?"

Blaise interrupted her. "Oh, no. I want to make love to you all night baby, trust me." She answered surely and leaned down to kiss Ephiny who stopped her.

"Hmm, all night huh?" Ephiny smiled at the thought. "I meant what I'm about to tell you. I'm just letting you know that it's okay if you say no."

Blaise looked at her confused and a bit nervous as to what she was getting at. "What's up Eph?"

Ephiny gave Blaise a loving smile and held her heart shape ring. "I'm ready for another diamond Blaise." She smiled lovingly as she rubbed her hands up and down Blaise's back.

Blaise smiled proudly and happily as she looked into Ephiny's eyes. "You want another baby?" She asked excitedly.

Ephiny smiled exuberantly. "Yes, as long as you want one?" She asked hesitantly hoping that Blaise wanted another child.

"Of course, I would love us to have another baby, but are you sure you're ready for that?" Blaise asked concerned, knowing the toll it took on her wife with the birth of the twins.

"I've never been more sure in my whole life and I promise I won't be as big of a bitch this time." Ephiny laughed as she moved her hands to Blaise's backside and gently squeezed it.

"Are you sure we want to subject a new baby to the twin terrors?" Blaise asked with a chuckle in regards to her rambunctious children.

Ephiny laughed. "Well, that's true, but we'll just have to keep them from corrupting our new bundle of joy."

Blaise laughed heartily. "Why have you decided that you want another one?" She asked as she lovingly stroked Ephiny's bare abdomen.

"Because now you can give me that gift instead of the rest of the gods intervening." Ephiny answered as she lightly ran the palm of her hand down Blaise's face lovingly gazing into her piercing blue eyes and leaned up to kiss her.

Blaise broke the kiss. "You don't know how many times I had to push the thought of another baby out of my head while we made love to keep from giving you an unexpected gift." Blaise admitted with an adoring smile.

"You did? Why didn't you tell me?" Ephiny inquired as her hand traveled back down to Blaise's backside and rested there.

"I wanted to make sure you were ready and let you make the decision."

She moved her hands up Blaise's body. "I love you so much Blaise." Ephiny smiled and cupped Blaise's face in her hands, then pulled her down for a kiss. "Give me a baby my darling." She whispered and deepened the kiss.

Ephiny ignited a flame of passion in Blaise and tears formed in her wanton blues at Ephiny's beautiful request. She was overwhelmed with happiness and moved her kiss to Ephiny's neck. She thought about how much she loved Ephiny and felt complete love from her when she asked her to give her another child. She thought of how much Ephiny excites her with everything she does as she slowly worked her moist kiss to Ephiny's breasts. She thought of the beautiful children they had and how she wanted another child with the love of her life. She lavishly kissed and suckled Ephiny's breasts as she thought of how every time she looks into her children's eyes she sees the love her and Ephiny shared to have such beautiful children. I can't wait to see that glow and the smile on your face when you feel our child inside of you. I love you so much Eph." Blaise smiled adoringly as she looked at Ephiny and could already see the glow in her face. She couldn't wait to feel her child move within Ephiny and to see the happiness in her wife's face when she is with child.
