EXT.: ROAD/1998/DAY
We look down an empty road on the out-skirts of Los Angeles in 1998. We see a sign
reading "MacReady Road: Point of No Return". A 1965 Ford Mustang pulls up and stops
at the mouth of the road.
INT.: MUSTANG
JASON MADISON(19) sits, looking down the mouth of the road, getting ready to drive to
his death.
JASON'S POV: MACREADY ROAD
We look down the road for a brief moment, hearing JASON'S HEARTBEAT in his head. We
look at JASON'S FACE, noticing tears slowly rolling down his face. He CLOSES HIS EYES
and ....
FLASHBACK: 2 YEARS AGO ON THAT SAME ROAD
We see a 1982 Pontiac Trans Am slowly driving down the road, heading towards the
mouth of MacReady Road. JASON is behind the wheel. JASON's girlfriend, SARAH
JONES(a reincarnation of Gabrielle), is in the passenger seat, sitting as they drive back
to L.A.
SARAH-
Jason? Are you sure you can drive down MacReady Road?
Jason-
Don't worry, love. I've driven down may of road worse than MacReady.
The Trans Am passes a sign reading "MacReady Road: Point of No Return".
FLASH FORWARD: INSIDE THE MUSTANG
Jason opens his eyes, after his flashback. He wipes away the tears of pain and sorrow,
gripping the wheel of the Mustang hard.
JASON-(clearing his throat)
Play rough. Play very rough.
Jason throws that car into DRIVE and peels out. The TIRES SCREECH as the car roars down
the mouth of the road.
JASON'S POV: MACREADY ROAD
We look for a moment through JASON's eyes as he drives down the road. We get a glimpse
of the speedometer of the car. Seeing the speed pass 50 MPH, heading towards 120 MPH.
JASON FLOORS the gas, putting the pedal to the floor. The car swerves on a sharp curve,
but still stays on the road, gaining speed. We look at the speedometer as it reaches past
90 MPH, and still going.
INT.: MUSTANG
We get a shot of JASON as he keeps the car on the road, about to take another turn.
FLASHBACK: 2 YEARS AGO
We see the Trans Am coming up on a huge turn.
SARAH-
Jason, please be careful. I don't want you to wreck the car.
JASON-
Don't worry.
FLASH FORWARD: NOW
The Mustang has now reached the mark of 120 MPH. It roars down the road, sticking to
every swerve. We look at JASON as more tears roll down his face.
JASON-(almost to himself)
Is that the best you can do?
FLASHBACK: 2 YEARS AGO
EXT.: FRONT LEFT FENDER OF TRANS AM
We get a shot of the tire, rolling fine. Then POW! The tire blows out.
INT.: TRANS AM
JASON jerking the wheel, trying to keep on the road.
FLASH FORWARD: NOW
JASON'S POV: ROAD
We see the road again, and coming up, on the side of the road, is a cliff. JASON aims the
Mustang and floors the gas.
FLASHBACK: 2 YEARS AGO
INT.: TRANS AM
SARAH screams as the car flips.
EXT.: TRANS AM
We see the car flip at least 15 times before finally coming to a stop.
FLASH FORWARD: NOW
The Mustang roars off the road towards the cliff.
INT.: MUSTANG
JASON-
I'm coming home, Sarah.
EXT.: MACREADY ROAD
We see the Mustang FLY OFF the cliff. It slowly falls towards the rocks on a beach at the
bottom. The Mustang slowly continues to fall. All of a sudden, LIGHTNING HITS the
Mustang. There is a huge flash from inside.
INT.: MUSTANG
We see JASON DISAPPEAR in a massive flash.
EXT.: MUSTANG
We see the car slam into the rocks on the massive rocks below. Then, the car explodes,
being engulfed in flames.

Fade to:
EXT.: SUNNY FIELD/DAY
We see GABRIELLE, walking along side XENA(who is on top of ARGO, her horse).
GABRIELLE-
It's a nice day, isn't it?
XENA-
Definitely nice. A little too nice. It's almost as if something bad is about to happen.
GABRIELLE-
Xena, I still see you are paranoid. So, what if something bad happens, it's better than
nothing right?
XENA-
I guess you can say that.
GABRIELLE-
So, what are we going to do for the time being?
XENA-
If the day goes well, then we might stop at the nearest village and rest for a little while.
GABRIELLE-
What? I feel like I've been asleep for months.
XENA-
Well, you've supposivly been awake for only how long? And now you're feeling energetic?
GABRIELLE-
Well, I guess that when you die, you regain a lot of energy.
XENA-
Well, as long as you're alive, you'll begin to slowly become tired.
GABRIELLE-
I haven't really felt this way since I was only a little girl.
XENA SMILE A LITTLE, but continues her straight, "I'm SO serious" face. When all of a
sudden, WHAM! Something comes out of nowhere and KNOCKS HER OFF. She HITS THE
GROUND with a loud THUMP! GABRIELLE hurries over and HELPS XENA UP.
GABRIELLE-
Are you ok?
XENA-
Yes, I'm ok. (rubs her head) What was that?
Voice-(Off Screen)
(moaning)
We pan over to find JASON MADISON lying on the ground. He SITS UP, rubbing his head.
JASON-(rubbing his head)
What happened? (looks around)
XENA and GABRIELLE LOOK AT EACH OTHER, THEN BACK AT JASON. JASON is
momentarily
DAZED. HE LOOKS OVER AT XENA AND GABRIELLE
JASON's POV: GABRIELLE
Almost like some kind of dream, we see GABRIELLE. We look back at JASON, eyes widen.
JASON-
Sarah?
XENA moves over to JASON, GRABS the neck of his jacket, and PICKS HIM UP.
JASON-
WOAH! CHILL OUT, SHE HULK!
JASON STRUGGLES to get free.
JASON-
WHO ARE YOU?!
XENA-
Who are you?
JASON-
I ASKED FIRST!
XENA-
STOP YELLING!
JASON-
I WILL AS SOON AS YOU LET GO!
XENA LET'S GO of JASON. He STRAIGHTENS UP, EYEING XENA.
JASON-
Thank you. Now, answer my question. Who are you?
XENA-
I'm Xena.
JASON looks at XENA, as if waiting. Then he becomes annoyed.
JASON-
Xena who?
XENA-
What?
JASON-
A last name would be nice.
XENA-
I've already answered your question, now who are you?
JASON-
Jason. (pause) Jason James Madison.
JASON looks over at GABRIELLE. She just stands there. JASON walks over to her and stands
in front of her. All of a sudden, JASON hugs her. She just stands there, surprised.
JASON-
Oh, Sarah. It's so good to see you...
XENA looks at GABRIELLE, not sure what is going on. GABRIELLE just shakes her head, as
if XENA asked her a question
JASON-
I didn't mean for it to happen. Can you ever forgive me?
GABRIELLE is not sure how to answer.
GABRIELLE-
Um, Jason, uh...
GABRIELLE she looks at XENA eyes wide, as if asking her for help. XENA shakes her head
as if say "Sorry, nothing I can do." GABRIELLE kind pushes JASON gentlely away from her.
JASON is unsure of what is going on.
GABRIELLE-
Jason.... I don't know you.
JASON-(almost surprised) What?
GABRIELLE-
I'm not... Sarah. My name is Gabrielle.
JASON suddenly seems sadden. Then he COVERS HIS FACE WITH HIS HANDS.
GABRIELLE
REACHES OUT to touch him. All of a sudden, she can hear laughing. JASON is laughing.
JASON uncovers his face.
JASON-(laughing)
This is just great. I drove off a cliff, in a 1965 Ford Mustang, ended up in the after life,
and I hugged a girl, thinking it was my dead girlfriend.
JASON moves over to a near-by rock and sits down.
JASON-
Man, am I disappointed.
XENA-
Hate to further disappoint you. But you're not dead.
JASON turns around, looking at XENA.
JASON-
What?
XENA-
This isn't an afterlife. You are pretty much still in the land of the living.
JASON turns around and BURIES HIS FACE INTO HIS HANDS. He then yells, frustrated.
JASON-
Great! I'm not dead. (stops and thinks for a moment) Wait a second.... if I'm not dead,
then where am I?
GABRIELLE-
You're in Greece.
JASON turns and LOOKS at GABRIELLE.
JASON-
Greece? You mean the country of Greece?
GABRIELLE nods. JASON looks around.
JASON'S POV: FIELD
There's nothing but a grassy field, nothing more.
JASON-
I thought there were buildings in Greece.
XENA-
There are.
JASON-
Then where are they? And where's the nearest Motel 6?
XENA-
Motel 6? What's that?
JASON turns around and looks at XENA.
JASON-
There is a name for people who forget things, but I'm not even going to label you as one.
JASON GETS UP and beings to walk away.
GABRIELLE-
Where are you going?
JASON-
Where does it look like I'm going? I'm going to find a very high cliff and do a swan dive.
GABRIELLE-
What?
JASON-
I said I'm going to take a swan dive from any high and near-by cliffs!
GABRIELLE RUNS UP and GRABS JASON's jacket. She PULLS him back. He begins to
STRUGGLE.
JASON-
LET GO!
GABRIELLE-
XENA HELP ME!
XENA walks over and takes a good hold of the collar of JASON's jacket. She YANKS on his
jacket hard, causing him to FLY OVER her head. He lands on the rock that he was sitting
hard, nearly GETTING THE AIR KNOCKED OUT OF HIM.
JASON-
OOF!
XENA TURNS AROUND, a SMILE WIDE on her face.
XENA-
Have a seat.
JASON coughs. He gets up off the rock.
JASON-
You know, if I weren't in such a bad mood, right now, I'd open up the six pack right now.
There is a shaking coming up, almost like an earthquake. All of a sudden, just a few feet
away, a cement road slowly emerges. JASON, XENA, and GABRIELLE LOOK on as it
stretches out to a long distance. All of a sudden, the shaking stops. JASON walks over to
the road, XENA and GABRIELLE in tow. JASON bends down and touches it, feeling its
roughness.
JASON-
This is wicked.
XENA-
What is that?
JASON-
The last time I checked, its a road. It seems to start here, and heads off in that direction.
JASON POINTS in the direction of the road as it trails off.
GABRIELLE-
What are we going to do?
JASON-
Well, any conventual mind would follow the road.
JASON gets onto the road and begins to WALK. XENA and GABRIELLE stand, LOOKING at
him. He turns around, facing towards the two.
JASON-
Do you guys want to find out what in the world is going on?
XENA and GABRIELLE look at JASON for a moment. GABRIELLE WALKS over and JOINS
JASON.
JASON-
Well, Xena, you're next.
XENA is not sure if she should or not. She walks over, grabbing ahold of ARGO's straps.
She mounts the horse and she comes up beside JASON and GABRIELLE.
XENA-
Let's go.
They begin to WALK down the highway.
Cut to:
INT.: STONE TEMPLE
We are in what looks like a stone temple, its big and spacious. We PAN over to where there is a
small pool. All of a sudden, a massive flame emerges from the pool, shooting straight up. We
slowly PAN over from the pool to something. Some kind of cocoon-like object(like that in
"Sacrifice I & II). It just sits, QUIETLY. Then all of a sudden, IT BEGINS TO MOVE.
Something
slowly EMERGES FROM IT. It appears to be human. We get a back shot of IT as it COMES
OUT OF THE
COCOON. We stick with a back shot. IT appears to be female. We FOLLOW behind IT as IT
walks
over to the pool, STANDING IN FRONT of the flame.
Thing-(sounding very familiar)
I'm back father. I'm ready to fulfill the new plan. And when everything is set, you'll be able
to join us.
We CLOSE UP on the flame as it dances wildly

Background Color: BLACK.
Fade To:
EXT.: ROAD/LITTLE WHILE LATER
We see JASON, walking along side ARGO, XENA AND GABRIELLE both on the horse.
XENA- How far do you figure this road goes?
JASON- Don't know. Maybe 9, 10 miles at most. Then again, maybe 20 more miles.
GABRIELLE- How do you know that we've walked 9/10 miles?
JASON- Simple. I counted my steps.
GABRIELLE- (laughs) There's no way possible. No one can count their steps.
JASON- No one can, except for a genius.
XENA- Wait a second, you're a genius?
JASON- Of course I am.
XENA- How much do you know?
JASON- I know so much, I'm a walking talking reference book. That includes dictionaries of multiple languages, Almanacs, even Encyclopedias.
GABRIELLE- So, if you're a genius, why do you want to kill yourself?
JASON-
For personal reasons that aren't even of your concern.
The group comes up to a village, sitting quietly.
EXT.: VILLAGE
The town is empty as they come in.
JASON- Woah, this place seems.... dead.
GABRIELLE- Where is everyone?
XENA- I don't know.
JASON-
Whatever happened here, they picked up and hauled out.
XENA stops ARGO. Both GABRIELLE and XENA DISMOUNT off of ARGO. They LOOK
around
at the village.
POV: EMPTY VILLAGE
GABRIELLE- I wonder if there's anyone here.
JASON- Guys, I don't know about you. But I've got a bad feeling.
GABRIELLE- Something you ate?
JASON- No, Gabrielle. I mean, this place doesn't feel right. Almost as if something bad has happened here and something is going to happen again.
XENA- How do you know?
JASON-
It was the same feeling I had as I... (pause) Well, I just have it.
XENA looks around, the village still empty. GABRIELLE LEANS towards XENA.
GABRIELLE-(whispering)
Do you think he's had one too many drinks?
JASON WALKS away from the horse, passing a well. JASON SLOWLY WALKS, as if he was
following a trail. All of a sudden, he STOPS.
JASON-
If you jump down on me, you better kill me.
All of a sudden, JASON is AMBUSHED by several men dressed in black robes, who jump down
from the roof of a house.
JASON-(yelling)
LET'S ROCK!
He begins to do some butt kicking. XENA and GABRIELLE see this, SPRINGING into action.
Some more men dressed in black robs come out of nowhere, carrying weapons. XENA lets out
her BATTLE CRY as BATTLES several of them. She kicks one guy, sending him flying through
the air, causing him to fall down a near-by well. GABRIELLE sideswipes two of the men with
her stick, sweeping the feet of another guy attacking her. JASON is holding up very well
with several men by fighting like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. One comes up with an ax and
SWINGS IT. JASON leans back, coming only an inch away from the blade and death. He
PUNCHES
the lights out of the man with the ax. Another man comes up with a knife. He STABS JASON
in the arm. JASON turns around, round-house kicking the guy to the ground. JASON continues
to FIGHT, the knife still in his arm. XENA and GABRIELLE get BACK TO BACK and fight
hard as
they BATTLE another wave of bad guys.
GABRIELLE- These guys know how to fight!
XENA-
Well, so do we! LOOK OUT!
The guy with the ax comes up from nowhere and swings it. Both XENA and GABRIELLE
DUCK at
the same time. They get back up, and GABRIELLE hits him hard with her stick.
GABRIELLE- Thanks.
XENA-
Don't mention it.
Meanwhile, a group of 4 corner JASON. JASON pays attention to all of them.
JASON-
I'll give you a choice, guys. You've got 2 choices. One, you can leave. Two, I can kick
all four of yall's rear-end.
All 4 attack JASON at the same time. JASON PICKS UP a BASKET, HITTING the first guy in
the
head. He turns around, BACK-HANDING the second one. He CLOTHS LINE the third one, and
KICKS
the last one in the testicals. All four of them lay on the ground.
JASON- Told you.
XENA and GABRIELLE are STILL FIGHTING. One of the bad dudes comes up behind XENA,
who is
also behind ARGO. He raises a knife high, about to kill XENA. ARGO, seeing this, KICKS the
guy, sending him flying into a pig pen. XENA, after hearing the guy landing, turns to ARGO.
XENA-
Thanks, girl.
ARGO nods, as if saying "You're welcome."
The rest of the men in black robes just get up and get out while they still have a chance.
JASON, XENA, and GABRIELLE regroup, all of them almost out of breath from fighting.
JASON- Xena, I hate to say this, but GEEZ CHICK! What were you in a past life, a hyena?
XENA- What?
JASON- Forget it.
GABRIELLE- I saw how you fight. You're good. Where did you learn those moves?
JASON-
I read.
XENA looks at JASON's right arm.
XENA'S POV: JASON'S ARM WITH KNIFE
She sees the knife still in JASON's arm. She grabs it and pulls it out. JASON looks at his
arm, slowly bleeding.
JASON-
Uh, man! This is my favorite jacket.
GABRIELLE just looks at him.
GABRIELLE- Didn't you feel that?
JASON-
No.
XENA STICKS HER FINGERS into the cut in JASON'S ARM. She slowly PULLS them out.
She looks
at them, covered in blood.
XENA- Did you feel that?
JASON- No.
GABRIELLE- How can you not feel that?
JASON- I read. I figured out how to connect and disconnect my psychical feelings. That includes pain. I can't feel it if my emotions are disconnected, unless it is extreme pain, like being set on fire.
GABRIELLE- That's impossible.
JASON-
Anything is possible, Gabrielle. You just have to experience it to find out that it is.
JASON begins to WALK OFF towards the highway.
XENA- Where are you going?
JASON-
Where's it look like I'm going? I want to see what's down this road. Those dudes were
here only to stall us.
XENA and GABRIELLE look at each other. GABRIELLE walks off, following JASON. XENA
WALKS
OVER and mounts ARGO. She starts ARGO off, following the two.
Cut to:
EXT.: HIGHWAY/LATER
GABRIELLE and JASON are WALKING next to each other. XENA, still on ARGO is behind
them
a little ways.
GABRIELLE- Jason, how did you know that was going to happen?
JASON- What do you mean?
GABRIELLE- Well, you said that you had a bad feeling and that the place didn't feel right. How did you know that was going to happen.
JASON- The same thing happened to me last year. I lost a lot of friends of mine in a bar in an accident. There this type of device that is used to heat buildings called boilers. Well, the boiler in the bar was bad, and it blew up. Just two minutes before it blown up, I had to go out to my car for something, as I was unlocking the door, I had the feeling. Then, all of a sudden, it blew up.
GABRIELLE- So, what is it like in the future?
JASON- Compared to my time, this place is like a paradise to mine. I mean, I live in a place where there is a lot of war, hate, crime, corruption, murder, mugging. You can say the future is a bad place to be.
GABRIELLE- Well, how can you live in that misery?
JASON-
When you're like me, you learn to adjust quickly.
XENA and ARGO come up next to GABRIELLE, on the side of the road.
XENA-
I'm going to scout ahead.
ARGO gallops away quickly, XENA riding. JASON and GABRIELLE are still there. They are
silent
for a brief moment.
GABRIELLE- How... (she clears her throat) How is it like, being a genius and all?
JASON- Feels like your standing ahead of everyone else. Almost as if you were ahead of them. You might think this is strange, but I sometimes feel like my mind is older than my body.
GABRIELLE- What do you mean?
JASON- Imagine if you will, a 5 year-old boy with the mind of over seven thousand adults. Now, imagine this same boy, only now he's 19. He's been upgraded from having the intelligence of over seven thousand people. Now he has the intelligence of over two million people. Now, think. What do you think he would feel like with knowing with his kind of knowledge that he alone could bring the world to an end?
GABRIELLE- I think he would feel terrible.
JASON- And lonely. I mean, there's others like me. But not as smart as me. As far as the others have reached, it would be only eight hundred thousand people. I'm the only one who's gotten this far.
XENA-(off screen and far off)
GABRIELLE! JASON!
GABRIELLE and JASON hear XENA and quickly RUN to see what is going on. They come up
next to
ARGO.
POV: LARGE CITY.
We see a large city a little ways from them. GABRIELLE and XENA are surprised.
XENA- What is that?
JASON-
Los Angeles.
FADE TO:
BACKGROUND COLOR: BLACK
FADE TO:
EXT.: HIGHWAY
XENA(on top of ARGO), GABRIELLE, and JASON STAND, LOOKING at Los Angeles.
XENA- Los Angeles?
JASON- Yeah. Los Angeles. My hometown.
GABRIELLE- What's it doing here? I thought it wasn't made at this time.
JASON- It isn't. Somehow, L.A. has been brought here by something. The same something that made me end up here as well. Same goes for the highway.
XENA- What could possibly do something like this?
JASON-
It could be the planets aline, it could be solar flares. Hell, it could be a hole in the
time/space continuum. The possibilities are endless.
JASON begins to head down the road towards Los Angeles.
GABRIELLE- Jason, where are you going?
JASON-
I'm going to see if anyone is there. And if so, maybe we can get a few answers.
XENA, ARGO, and GABRIELLE begin to follow JASON.
EXT.: LOS ANGELES/LATER
JASON, GABRIELLE, XENA, AND ARGO WALK down the empty street. Cars, Buildings,
street
lamps, all there. The only thing seeming to be missing are the people. They STOP.
JASON- I've never seen this place so empty like this.
XENA- Hasn't it been empty before?
JASON- No. I mean...(looks at his watch) Around this time, it should be lunch break for several of the businesses. There should be cars packed up right where we are standing. But not right now.
GABRIELLE- It's almost like the town before we got here. So empty and.... and dead.
XENA- A ghost town.
JASON- Yeah. A ghost town. It's like everything here has been built, but no one ever existed.
XENA- Let's do a search.
JASON-
Ok, Gabrielle, you're with Xena and Argo. I'll head this way(point off screen). Let's meet
back here in twenty-five minutes.
JASON splits up from XENA, GABRIELLE, and ARGO. JASON WALKS down an empty
street, looking
in every alleyway, looking through every window, checking every car. But he can seem to find
anyone. He STOPS in front of a gun shop. He LOOKS into the store through the massive
window.
JASON shakes his head, and turns around to continue when he sudden slams into something.
JASON-
AH!
That something is GABRIELLE.
JASON- Geez, Gabrielle! You nearly gave me a heart attack.
GABRIELLE-
Sorry.
JASON LOOKS around, noticing something strange.
JASON- Where's Xena? I thought I told you to stay with her.
GABRIELLE- Well, Xena sent me to stay with you. To make sure you don't try to kill yourself again.
JASON- She does think before she acts, right?
GABRIELLE- Yeah.
JASON- You want to go inside here with me?
GABRIELLE- Sure. What's in there?
JASON-
20th century weapons.
JASON TURNS AROUND and ENTERS the gun shop, GABRIELLE in tow.
INT.: GUN SHOP.
JASON PICKS UP a backpack from behind the counter. He begins to LOAD UP on handguns
and ammo.
JASON-
Well, in my time, people think that these things are the worst invention to destroy something
ever made. But what they don't realize is that sometimes, these weapons of destruction can
help you out in a problem that involves life and death. That's why every law enforcement
officer has one.
JASON TURNS AROUND to the shelves of big guns. He PICKS UP a four barrel shotgun and
examines
it.
GABRIELLE- What other weapons do you have in the future?
JASON-
So far, we've got missiles that can wipe out at least a whole city like L.A. here, maybe bigger.
He PUTS DOWN the four barrel shot gun and PICKS UP a M-16 Assault Rifle. He TURNS
AROUND to show
GABRIELLE.
JASON- Check this out. (points at scope)With this, you can set the cross hair on your target. There's a switch on the trigger where when you squeeze it lightly(Jason squeezes the trigger lightly, causing laser sighting to come on) A laser sighter comes on. You put the red dot on your target, pull the trigger, and you've got it.
GABRIELLE- Wow.
JASON-
The hunters really love this kind of rifle.
JASON PICKS IT UP and AIMS it at a near-by wall.
JASON-
The only sucker to miss with this baby is the one with the bread to buy it. (lowers gun) But
since the owner isn't here, I guess I'll have to leave an I.O.U.
JASON PICKS UP the bag and the rifle. He reaches over and picks up a SAMURAI SWORD.
JASON holds
it and then straps the hoister around his waist.
JASON-
You never know.
JASON and GABRIELLE leave.
EXT.: OUTSIDE
We see JASON and GABRIELLE WALKING back to the spot to meet.
GABRIELLE- Jason, what do you think about Xena and I?
JASON-(smiles) Well... you and her have that mother/daughter relationship down pat.
GABRIELLE- What do you think about me?
JASON- About you? Well, um.... I happen to think that you are a beautiful and nice girl.
GABRIELLE- Would you call that love?
JASON-
Love? Sorry, "love" hasn't been in my vocab for a while.
As they approach the spot, JASON's eyes grow WIDE.
JASON'S POV: XENA and GABRIELLE.
Both XENA and GABRIELLE are standing, waiting for JASON. JASON grabs the M-16 and
turns
around, aiming at the GABRIELLE that is with him
JASON-
Who are you?
The GABRIELLE that's with him stares at JASON. All of a sudden, as if hit by a wrecking ball,
JASON is sent flying through the air. JASON HITS the ground hard, XENA and GABRIELLE
come
running up. XENA and GABRIELLE bend down to pick JASON up.
JASON-

XENA and GABRIELLE look up at the IMPOSTER. GABRIELLE stands up, looking at her
DOUBLE.
HOPE-
Hello again, mother.
The whole time, it was HOPE, pretending to be GABRIELLE. She did so good of a job, JASON
didn't even notice the difference. JASON's eyes dart back and forth between the two.
GABRIELLE- That's impossible. You're dead. Your child killed you.
HOPE- He might have killed me, but father brought me back. We've got a new plan now. (eyes JASON) And I see you've got someone else to occupy your time with.
GABRIELLE- You stay away from him, Hope. He's more dangerous than you and Dahak.
HOPE- I'm giving another chance, mother. Join father and I. He's willing to make you his wife. And I'm willing to forgive and forget.
GABRIELLE- Sorry, Hope. I rather be on the right side. Which is the side that I'm on with Xena and Jason.
HOPE-
All of you will die. A new plan has been set. And this time, father will win.
She snaps her fingers and disappears in a flash. We look back at the group.

INT.: STONE TEMPLE/LATER
We notice something different. It appears that the ground has changed, and the walls are
changing different colors. The flame in the pool is roars, this time, more lively than the
last time. We see HOPE WALK up from off screen. She stands, LOOKING at the flame.
HOPE-
The game is ready to be played, father. And it appears that we've got a new player on the
board. He won't pose as a threat to us. This time, we will prevail.(smiles wickedly) We will
prevail.

JASON sits on a bench while LISTENING to XENA and GABRIELLE. XENA is standing next
to ARGO,
rubbing the side of the horse's neck.
GABRIELLE- ... and so, she is somehow back from the dead to help out Dahak.
XENA-
If Dahak takes over our world, then we are all finished.
JASON sits silently, an almost calmed look on his face.
JASON- Um, ok. (pause) Was there.... oh.... ANY OTHER TIME, you guys were going to tell me this?
XENA- We're just as surprised as you are. We had no way of knowing that Dahak and Hope would try to take over again.
JASON- Wait a second... I think I've heard about Dahak before in the future. A mythological story.
GABRIELLE- What do you remember?
JASON-(recalling from photographic memory) Um... 'The One God.. the Dark Force that will sweep this world.... A war begun of innocence...' Um.... 'But first the door must be opened. The path of his arrival must be sanctified in blood. Pure blood. Innocent blood...' Um... I recall something about 'When the Goddess is reborn, She will come from the Sister Peaks... The bringer of the Destroyer...." etc, etc.
XENA- Most of the stuff that you've told us has occurred.
JASON- There is something else.
XENA- What?
JASON-(recalling from memory) 'After the Dark One has arrived, the demon-monster will be slain once and for all by a valiant hero, a person of superhuman courage and resourcefulness.'
GABRIELLE- Do you remember the name of this hero?
JASON-
I forgot.
Notices XENA is giving him a "how can you forget?" look.
JASON- Excuse me for forgetting, alright?
XENA- You're suppose to be a genius.
JASON-
I KNOW I'm suppose to be a genius. I quote Albert Einstein, "The difference between Genius and
Stupidity is that Genius has it's limits." So, sue me if I forget sometimes.
JASON GETS UP and WALKS over to a street lamp. He LEANS on it, facing towards a building
across
the street.
JASON-
I hate living like this.
JASON LOOKS across the street to the building, seeing a news stand.
JASON'S POV: NEWS STAND
JASON notices a headline on one of the papers. We look back at him as he walks over to the
stand.
XENA-
Where are you going?
JASON doesn't answer, but continues to WALK. XENA and GABRIELLE LOOK at each other
then back
at JASON. JASON comes up to the news stand and picks up a paper which headline reads
"PEOPLE
DISAPPEARED". JASON TURNS AROUND and WALKS back over to the girls.
GABRIELLE- What is that?
JASON- A newspaper. It's one of the ways we get news and information in my time.
XENA- Well, why would you pick up one of those at a time like this?
JASON- Because.... I think something weird is going on. Check this out. (reads from paper)'At high noon yesterday, many people have disappear. The police is uncertain of what had happened to make this event occur.' (stops reading, noticing something else on the paper) Wait a second.... This newspaper has tomorrow date on it. I mean... Tomorrow in my time. A day after I drove off the cliff. To me, this hasn't happened yet.
GABRIELLE- How many people disappear?
JASON-(looks at newspaper) Total estaminet of people disappeared is..... five hundred and sixty two.
XENA- Oh, my...
GABRIELLE- How can that be?
JASON- I don't know. (reads from paper)'From what it is stated by police officers at Precinct 13, people with a 4 mile radius from the old Damark Movie Theater had disappeared.' Damark Movie Theater?
GABRIELLE- You've heard of that place?
JASON- Are you kidding? I used to go there. It was like a combination of a movie theater and a theater for acting. That was one of my favorite places.
XENA- Was?
JASON- Yeah, well, the place got old, and the city felt that it was no longer needed because that it wasn't racking in the money that it used to. So, they closed it down and hired a demolition crew to bring it down. It was scheduled to be bring down two months from now, in my time at least.
GABRIELLE- Anyway, to the problem at hand, five hundred and sixty two people have disappeared. When did it happen?
JASON- Well, let's see... I drove off the cliff at around eleven forty-five and people disappeared at noon, which is twelve o'clock noon.... That's fifteen minute after I drove off the cliff.
XENA- Well, talk about timing, huh?
GABRIELLE- Xena, Hope said that Dahak had a new plan to take over. Could it be possible that Dahak is responsible for Los Angeles being here in our time?
XENA- If that theory is true, then Dahak must have found a way to merge our time with the future.
JASON- If Dahak did do it, then why would he want to bring me here?
XENA- I wouldn't know.
JASON-
Maybe we can figure it out sooner or later. (notices that the sky is almost dark) Right now
would be the prefect time to set up a camp site. Hope you're used to sleeping on the ground.
GABRIELLE looks over at XENA, then back at JASON.
GABRIELLE-
More than you know.
Cut to:
EXT.: EMPTY STREET/LATER
A small camp site has been set up. A fire has been made out of newspaper. We see XENA
EATING
an apple. GABRIELLE is lying across from XENA on the other side of the fire, covered by a
blanket. She lies awake, staring at the night's sky. She turns on her side, seeing JASON
LOADING BULLETS into the clips for the guns. She GETS UP and MOVES over to him.
GABRIELLE- Are you busy?
JASON- Not really. Please, have a seat.
GABRIELLE-
Thank you.
She SITS down next to JASON as he CONTINUES.
GABRIELLE- You know, I didn't want to have Hope.
JASON- I know. You thought you were helping someone out. It was a mistake anyone would make. Even me. You're not the only girl I know who was raped.
GABRIELLE- Who else?
JASON- My dead girlfriend, Sarah Jones.
GABRIELLE- The one you confused me for when you first met me.
JASON- Correct. It happened a year before she met me. She was at a party with several of her people. A few guys got drunk out of their minds. They had pulled her into the master bedroom of the house and gang raped her. After that, she carried a child to term and gave it up for adoption. After a few times of dating, and developing a relationship, she told me, and I told her that I understood and would wait as long as she wanted to before we went into our relationship any further.
GABRIELLE- Wow. I'd never thought that you would be so... so...
JASON- Compassionate and understandable?
GABRIELLE- Yeah. I mean, several other people would had dumped me if they knew that happened to me.
JASON- Well, I do something else what other people don't and are afraid to do. I read between the lines. I woke from a dream before I even knew there was. And many people hate me for it.
GABRIELLE- What was Sarah like?
JASON- She seemed as if she was... as if she was a goddess. Everything about her seemed to have a glow. She had the personality of a well educated person. She was probably the only girl who not only loved me for who I was and who I could be, but the only girl who understood me unlike any other girl would. You look and sound like her you know? I mean, the hair, the eyes, the body, that smile. I sometimes wonder if you are related to her in some way.
GABRIELLE- I wish I could have met her.
JASON-
I'd think you two would have had a nice time together.
XENA is bored. She looks around finding a rifle JASON had taken from the gun shop earlier.
JASON- There's only one real difference I notice between her and you. You have a light inside you that glows even brighter than hers ever did. (notices XENA looking over the rifle) PUT THAT DOWN! That thing is more dangerous than you are.
XENA-(sets the gun down, begins to remove her brass armor) Do you think you can teach me how to use that?
JASON- I could teach you, but you won't be able to understand it when you do use it.
XENA- I'm a quick learner, Jason.
JASON- That and when this is all over, that thing would be empty and there would be no way to get more ammo. So, it's best for you to stick with what you know. (looks at watch) It's getting late. You two should get some sleep.
XENA- You and Gabrielle can get some. I'll stay up.
JASON-
No, Xena. I insist.
JASON PICKS UP his M-16 and cocks it. JASON MOVES over to a near-by bench, taking a
seat.
GABRIELLE MOVES over to her spot across from XENA, getting under the cover. XENA
LOOKS at
JASON.
XENA'S POV: JASON
She watches him as he puts on a pair of sunglasses. He sets the gun in his lap, sitting back
on the bench. We look back at XENA for a moment. She lays back, getting comfortable for a
long night's sleep. JASON looks both ways down the empty street, keeping watch over the group.
Cut to:
EXT.: EMPTY STREET/MORNING
The fire is still burning. XENA and GABRIELLE are still asleep. XENA slowly WAKES UP. She
SITS
UP, noticing that JASON is sitting on the bench, still wearing the sunglasses. JASON LOOKS at
her, SMIRKS, and WAVES.
XENA- You're still up?
JASON-
Of course I am, chick. What did you think I would do? Fall asleep on the job?
GABRIELLE WAKES UP. She SITS UP, YAWNING and STRETCHING.
GABRIELLE- That must have been one of the best times I've ever have slept.
JASON-
No. The best sleep is the final sleep.
GABRIELLE LOOKS at JASON, not sure what he meant by that. XENA GETS UP, and she
begins to PUT
HER ARMOR back on. She PICKS UP her CHAKRAM, putting it into one of it's holders on her
clothing.
XENA- Jason, you must be the only one who craves death.
JASON- Ok, then I guess that would make you a fetish freak.
XENA- WHAT?
JASON- You heard me, Hyena chick. There's only two kinds of people who wear leather all the time, bikers and fetish freaks. And I don't see you riding a motorcycle ANY time soon.
XENA- I'm NOT a fetish freak.
JASON- Then why wear leather?
XENA- Why do you care?
JASON- Why do you care if I care?
GABRIELLE-
People, PLEASE! I'm not going to listen to you two play mind games with each other. So please,
don't start.
JASON and XENA EYE each other. Then XENA smiles.
XENA- You're a good thinker, Jason. And I think you are a good fighter too.
JASON- You're not so bad yourself, Xena. Let's hope that we can figure out what our game plan is.
XENA- We'll have to think up one on our way. Where's the theater located at?
JASON- Across town. It's one long walk.
GABRIELLE- How far?
JASON- At least a hundred miles.
XENA-
We better get to going.
They get together, XENA grabs ahold of the straps for ARGO, and they begin to WALK towards
their destination.

INT.: STREET/LATER
The group walk down the empty street. JASON is ahead of XENA and GABRIELLE. We follow
XENA and GABRIELLE.
GABRIELLE- What do you think of Jason, really?
XENA- I think he's a little lost in his own mind. Since he's lost a lot of people over the years, he can't even find the right path to go down.
GABRIELLE- Is there anything we can do to help him out?
XENA- Only he can save himself. Why do you care about him?
GABRIELLE- It just seems sad, you know? I mean, he has no one left to turn to in his life. I can imagine why he feels that death is the only option left for him. He needs some help.
XENA- Why don't you and him become friends?
GABRIELLE- Are you kidding? What good would I do since I look like his dead girlfriend?
XENA-
You'll never know unless you try.
GABRIELLE LOOKS from XENA to JASON.
GABRIELLE'S POV: JASON
She looks at JASON as he patrols the front. We look back at her, as she PICKS UP SOME
MORE
SPEED to get up next to JASON.
GABRIELLE- Hey Jason.
JASON- Whatcha doing up here?
GABRIELLE- Just checking up on you.
JASON- Gabrielle, I know you are taking Xena's advise on becoming my friend.
GABRIELLE- You heard us talking?
JASON- I can't help it. I mean, if this was any regular day and everything was ok, I wouldn't hear a single word due to the honking and the car engines. But since everything is so empty, then I can hear everything. Argo's feet hitting the concrete, the sound of you and Xena talking, the sound of my heartbeat in my head.
GABRIELLE- Jason, I know this might be hard for you to answer, but what was your mother like?
JASON- My mother? That one is easy. She was a kind and gentle woman. She worked as a nurse.
GABRIELLE- A nurse?
JASON- A person who helps out a doctor, what you guys call a midwife?
GABRIELLE- Oh, ok.
JASON- She loved working with people. She loved working with children the most. She rarely been at the house. She worked from five-thirty in the morning to twelve at night. The only time I ever got to talk with her was on the telephone. She would also leave notes around the house for me to read. She used to call me by a nickname.
GABRIELLE- What was it?
JASON- Keresapa.
GABRIELLE- Keresapa. That's a nice nickname.
JASON- Tell me about it. My mother told me she got it from a mythological story that Keresapa was a hero, who bring down a god.
GABRIELLE- Which one?
JASON- I don't know. She never told me, and I never looked into it.
GABRIELLE- What other nicknames do you go by?
JASON- Well, I used to go by the hacker name Code Breaker.
GABRIELLE- Hacker?
JASON- To complicated to explain. Sarah used to call me Cody.
GABRIELLE- Why Cody?
JASON- Because when I told her to call me Code, she felt that it sounded lifeless. So, she decided to call me Cody.
GABRIELLE- Well, I wish I could call you Cody.
JASON-
Don't. There's no way you'd call me Cody, unless your my girlfriend.
GABRIELLE is silent, not sure what he meant. JASON SLOWS to a stop. EVERYONE else
does so too.
JASON, looks around.
XENA- What is it, Jason?
JASON-
I have a bad feeling.
XENA PULLS OUT her sword, and GABRIELLE HOLDS her stick ready. JASON SQUEEZES
the trigger
lightly, the laser comes on.
JASON'S POV: EMPTY STREET
JASON LOOKS from left to right, not sure what is going on. We look back at JASON as he is
trying to figure out what is going on. Then it hits him hard.
JASON- Let's get out of here.
GABRIELLE- Why?
JASON-
It's an ambush!
All of a sudden, men dressed in black robes come flying out of alleyways, some coming up from
behind. XENA lets out her BATTLE CRY as she fights. JASON, using the M-16, FIRES off at
least
half a round before a bullet shell gets caught and the gun JAMS.
JASON-
Screw this piece of crap called an America product.
JASON TOSSES the gun aside and PULLS OUT the samurai SWORD as he is attack by several
more of
the men. GABRIELLE is FIGHTING well herself. She manages to knock a few of them out.
Then, SLAM!
She is ATTACKED from behind.
GABRIELLE-
XENA! JASON!
She is KNOCKED OUT by one of the men who has her. XENA turns around, noticing what is
happening.
Due to this distraction, she is KNOCKED OUT from behind, too. JASON NOTICES what's
going on, and
tries to stop them. HE ATTACKS the robed men who have GABRIELLE, trying to make them
let her go.
ONE of them comes up, and STABS JASON in the stomach with a knife. JASON is then
CLOBBERED from
behind. JASON tries his best to FIGHT BACK with no use. He is KNOCKED OUT. The robed
men carry
XENA and GABRIELLE off. They leave JASON LYING on the street. ARGO comes up next to
JASON,
LOOKING over him. She REACHES down and bits the back of JASON's jacket. She PULLS
him over to
a near-by BENCE.
Cut to:
INT.: WHAT WAS THE STONE TEMPLE AND IS NOW SOMETHING ELSE.
We notice that the interior of the temple has changed more. This time, it looks like the interior of
a movie
theater, one that can not only show movies, but have plays performed on stage. XENA and
GABRIELLE
both BOUND and GAGED are DRAGGED onto the stage. The pool, looking more like
something from
1998, sits in the middle of the stage, fire roaring high. We find HOPE, now dressed in some kind
of
ritual clothing, standing next to the pool. GABRIELLE and XENA are pushed down onto the
stage.
HOPE smiles wickedly.
HOPE-(sighing)
Oh, my dear mother... (walks over to GABRIELLE, bending down over her) Don't you just feel
terrible?
(to one of the men) Ungag them.
The men do so, ungagging GABRIELLE and XENA.
XENA- Gabrielle, are you alright?
GABRIELLE- I've got a headache, but I'm fine.
HOPE- Now, mother. You remember my offer? It still stands. Why stay with these pathetic mortals and gods who are destined to internal damnation for?
GABRIELLE- Why do you care so much about me?
HOPE- Because, you're my mother. And I am willing to let you live. Both you and Xena.
XENA- Don't listen to her, Gabrielle. It's a trick!
HOPE- Shut up while you still have a mouth to speak with, Xena.
GABRIELLE- What if I choose not to join?
HOPE-
Then you and Xena will join the others. For the sacrifice to bring my father into the world.
GABRIELLE is torn. She has no idea what to do. Then she makes up her mind.
GABRIELLE- I choose.... death.
HOPE-
Fine.
HOPE WALKS away, two of the robed men PICK XENA and GABRIELLE up.
GABRIELLE- Xena, where's Jason?
XENA- I don't know. They might have already killed him.
GABRIELLE- I doubt it. Jason's not that easy to go down.
XENA- If he is alive, he's not crazy enough to come for us.
GABRIELLE-
Trust me on this one, Xena. He might not be crazy, but he IS smart enough to save us.
They are dragged off the stage.
FADE TO:
BACKGROUND COLOR: BLACK
FADE TO:
EXT.: EMPTY STREET.
JASON is now awake again, DUCT TAPING his stomach. ARGO is there, looking at him.
JASON-
What are we going to do, Argo? I mean, this is like trying to commit suicide. I mean, I can't walk
up,
knock on the door and say, "Hello, Madison Pizza" and expect them to open up. That and what
makes
me so sure that they don't have a trap ready for me? I mean, I could walk into there, and get
ambushed,
this time, I might bite it. You know what I mean?
ARGO nods in response. JASON GETS UP and PICKS UP his M-16.
JASON-
The worse part about it is that Xena and Gabrielle are in the hands of Hope. And she is going to
bring
Dahak into the world. You know what he might do to us? He'll rip me to shreds, and turn you
into
ground beef.... No offense in any way.
JASON WALKS back over to the bench and SITS DOWN.
JASON- What are we going to do? I mean, I'm no warrior like Xena. I'm just a brainac... a smart alec... a mastermind. I mean, I know how to fight. I can set up a good game plan and execute the plan like if it were a chess game. Look at me, I'm talking to a horse. But that's not a real problem right now. The real problem is that this is something that's OUT of my league. What I need is an army. A powerful army.
VOICE(MALE)-
You ARE an army.
JASON spins around, aiming the M-16. He finds ARES standing behind the bench, his face
somewhat
emotionless.
ARES- You are THE one-man army.
JASON- Excuse me, but WHO ARE YOU?
ARES- I'm Ares.
JASON- Ares what?
ARES- What?
JASON- Geez! DOES ANYONE IN THIS TIME HAVE ANY LAST NAMES?
ARES- If only you knew.
JASON- Pardon me, but what are you doing here?
ARES- I was sent here to help you.
JASON- Who sent you?
ARES-
Zeus.
JASON stands for a moment, thinking. He smiles and begins to laugh.
ARES- What so funny?
JASON-(laughing) Ares... Zeus.... I get it. This is Ancient Greece, and you are a Greek god.
ARES-
Yeah.
JASON LAUGHS MORE, bending over.
ARES- You don't believe me, do you?
JASON-(laughing) Oh, of course I do..... IF I WERE A NUTCASE! (laughs harder)
ARES- I'm not kidding.
JASON-(sarcastically) Oh, really, god of war? Prove it!
ARES-(looks up and screams at the sky)
You heard him, father!
All of a sudden, a LIGHTNING BOLT STRIKES near JASON. The blast KNOCKS JASON to
the ground.
ARES SMILES and LAUGHS. JASON gets BACK UP, NOTICING ARGO IS GONE.
JASON-
ARGO?!?
JASON'S POV: EMPTY STREET.
JASON LOOKS around, only seeing a delivery truck park a little ways from where he is.
ARGO'S HEAD
comes around the back of the truck. We look back at JASON.
JASON-
Whew! Geez, chick! Don't ever run off like that! Xena would kill me if you do that again!
JASON'S POV: ARGO BEHIND THE TRUCK
ARGO tilts her head as if saying "What did I do?"
ARES- NOW do you believe me?
JASON- How can I believe that?
ARES-(screams at the sky) He doesn't believe!
JASON-
Nonononononononononononononono, I believe! (yells at the sky) I BELIEVE
COMPLETELY!!!
ARES LAUGHS again.
JASON- So... the mythological stories are true.
ARES- Basically, yeah.
JASON- So..... Zeus is real. Is he and the others...
ARES- Yes, Jason we're all real.
JASON- Is he mad... about the future.... about some believing in one god?
ARES- No, not at all. It's good to see that you only think that we aren't in existence.
JASON- Why hide for?
ARES- Times change, and so do humans.
JASON- Good answer. Why did Zeus send you here? Why not someone else?
ARES- Remember Hope?
JASON- Yeah.
ARES- Well, I kinda.... Remember when Gabrielle said that Hope's child, the Destroyer, killed her?
JASON- Yeah.
ARES-
Well, you can say.... I was the father.
JASON STANDS SILENTLY for a moment. He then WALKS OVER, and PUNCHES ARES
hard.
ARES straightens up.
JASON- What the world were you on at the time, may I ask? HOW COULD YOU DO THAT?
ARES- I was, at the time, thinking of my survival.
JASON- So you figured, by knocking up Hope, that Dahak would let you live. That's VERY noble. Stabbing your family to save yourself.
ARES- Do you think I want to be here to help you? No. I was sent here to help you so my father could forgive me.
JASON- Well, if I were him, I would have turned you into a goat.
ARES- Look, I want to be forgiven by my father, you want to stop Dahak to save your time...
JASON-(cutting in) WHAT? Where did you get that idea? For all I care, 1998 can just go into the underworld! I hate 1998! I mean, it's because of gods like you, Ares. You know how many people YOU killed over the years? Over 6 billion. So, what makes you any different from Dahak?
ARES- Dahak wants to take over, I don't. After leaving Hope after that fall Gabrielle and her took, she must hate me.
JASON- We I hope she does. Because after something like that, she would order for your head to be made into a trophy!
ARES- Don't judge me, Jason. I'm here to help you. Only you can stop Dahak.
JASON-
Total B. S.! I'm no hero! I'm not a warrior! I'm not a "valiant hero with almost superhuman
courage and
resourcefulness"! I don't know what dream world you have been living in. To tell you the truth,
I'M GLAD
THE WORLD'S GONNA END. (yelling towards the sky) YOU HERE ME, ZEUS! YOU TOOK
EVERYONE IMPORTANT TO ME AWAY FROM ME! YOU SHOULD HAVE KILLED ME
WHEN YOU
HAD A CHANCE YOU OLD FART! HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT!!!!
A LIGHTNING BOLT strikes in front of JASON, but it doesn't knock him down.
JASON-(yelling at the sky)
WHAT'S THE MATTER? IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN DO? MY GRANDMOTHER CAN
AIM BETTER
THAN YOU CAN! DO YOU NEED A PAIR OF GLASSES TO HIT ME? COME ON! BRING
IT ON!
ARES GRABS JASON by the throat.
ARES- STOP THAT OR I'LL SNAP YOUR NECK!
JASON-(barely able to breathe, and sarcastically)
Ok, mother.
ARES LETS GO of JASON. JASON rubs his throat.
JASON-(under his breath) Prick.
ARES-
Ok, you don't have to do it for your time, or for me, or anyone of us gods. But what about Xena
and
Gabrielle?
With this, ARES catches JASON'S attention. ARGO slowly comes up next to JASON.
ARES- I'm sure you'd feel terrible about loosing someone who you must feel that is a friend of yours.
JASON- How can I fight something that I'm not even sure is there? I can't even figure out what I need to do.
ARES- You know where his temple is located.
JASON- The Damark Movie Theater.
ARES- You've read many of tactics used in battles. You know how to fight...
JASON-(cutting in) For myself, but for someone else?
ARES- All the greatest heros had to fight for someone else. Sir William Wallace for Scotland, Washington for the colonists, and you... for your friends.
JASON- Ok, just one question.... HOW am I going to do it?
ARES- What do you need?
JASON- Well...(looks over at ARGO) I'm definitely going to need a ride. Argo might be a horse, but I doubt she'd let me on her.
ARES-
Done.
ARES POINTS off screen. JASON TURNS AROUND.
JASON'S POV: 1965 FORD MUSTANG
Sitting on the curb of the street, sits JASON'S 1965 FORD MUSTANG. It appears to be
modified
for battle, metal shielding on windows and windshields. We look at JASON, eyes wide with
surprise.
JASON- Wow.
ARES-(smiles) It's been modified to what you had in mind for a battle vehicle.
JASON- Including a...
ARES- Yes. A sunroof which is able to come off.
JASON- Cool beans. How long do I have until Dahak comes?
ARES- You have until noon tomorrow. Anything else?
JASON- Only one last thing, why did you pick me?
ARES-
We didn't pick you.
ARES disappears in a flash. JASON stands alone with ARGO.
JASON-
Ok, Argo. Listen to me. There is a possibility that I might win. If I do, then I'll bring both
Gabrielle
and
Xena back to ya. And of course, there's the possibility that I might loose. So, I want you to go
back
to the other end of town. Can you do that?
ARGO nods in response.
JASON-
Ok, wait for us there. See you if we make it.
ARGO does what JASON says. She GALLOPS AWAY, heading back the way they had came.
JASON
PICKS UP his backpack, walking over to the Mustang. JASON STOPS and TURNS AROUND
to face
an Army Surplus Store. JASON SMILES.
INT.: ARMY SURPLUS STORE
JASON looks around, PICKING UP a missile launcher. He TURNS AROUND, PICKING UP a
chain saw.
We get a shot of him, PULLING OFF his sneakers and REPLACES them with combat boots. We
see
him later, picking up what looks like a kevilar vest. We get a good angle of him. He appears to
have
fueled up the chain saw. He YANKS the start cord hard, causing the chain saw to roar to life. He
revs it
a few times.
JASON-
Groovy.
Cut to:
INT.: DAMARK MOVIE THEATER(was the TEMPLE)/NIGHT
We find HOPE, KNEELING in front of the pool of the newly merged Damark Movie Theater. She stares at the roaring flames.
HOPE-
Everything is going according to plan. Tomorrow, you will walk the Earth once more. And their
hero
will not be here to stop you.
INT.: BACK ROOM
We find XENA and GABRIELLE strapped up by the wrists against the wall, almost like they
would do if
they were in a dungeon.
XENA- Gabrielle, are you alright?
GABRIELLE- Never better. You?
XENA- I had better days. I wonder if Jason and Argo are ok.
GABRIELLE- Well, Argo maybe ok. But Jason, I wouldn't know. I'm almost beginning to think that he'll never come.
XENA- Don't think that, Gabrielle. You saw how well he fought in the village. Maybe he can help out.
GABRIELLE- But what about the hero?
XENA- What?
GABRIELLE- The hero whose suppose to stop Dahak. What about him? I mean, there's no one else that's here on our side. And there's no one else who knows what's happening.
XENA- Don't count Jason out just yet. If anything does happen, and Dahak enters the world, maybe the hero will find us.
GABRIELLE- Let's hope you're right.
XENA- Gabrielle, when was the last time I was wrong?
GABRIELLE- Well, there was that incident four days ago. Because of that stupid bet I nearly had my arms and legs ripped out of my joints.
XENA- Well, look on the bright side. They TAUT you a lesson.(weakly laughs)
GABRIELLE- That's not funny. I'll tell you what's funny, remember when you had lice?
XENA- I DIDN'T HAVE LICE!
GABRIELLE- Oh, come on you did. You just hate to be wrong.
XENA-
YES, alright? Are you happy now? I hate being wrong. Are you satisfied that you are going to
die knowing that I hate to be wrong?
There is a brief moment of silence between them.
GABRIELLE- I'm sorry.
XENA-
I'm sorry too. Lets hope that Jason will come.
Cut to:
INT.: OUTPOST 2/A FEW MINUTES LATER
It appears that some of the bad guys have set up some outposts to spot JASON when he comes.
Outpost 2 is inside what appears to be a burger joint. Some are asleep, some just barely awake.
One of them gets up, and heads over to the bar to get some water. The one who got up gets the
pitcher full of water. He turns around. All of a sudden, a set of lights come on outside.
EXT.: OUTSIDE OUTPOST 2
We see a set of headlights blaring. All of a sudden, the sound of a Musical Horn BLARES. The
Mustang ROARS out of the shadows of the alleyway, aiming at the outpost.
INT.: OUTPOST 2.
The man stands, SURPRISED.
MAN-
LOOK OUT!!!
Several of the others wake up, realizing what was happening. The Mustang BURSTS through the
front of the outpost, sending glass FLYING everywhere. The Mustang manages to take a few of
the bad guys out before they even got a chance. The Mustang comes to a stop, just before hitting
the MAN. JASON EXITS the car, M-16 IN HAND. He is ATTACK by several of the BAD
GUYS. JASON,
takes several of them out with the M-16 in one hand, and several others with the SAMURAI
SWORD.
Before you know it, nearly everyone of them are dead. The MAN still stands, holding the pitcher
of water. JASON TURNS to him, seeing him just standing there. JASON WALKS over to the
MAN. The
MAN becomes so nervous, he DROPS the pitcher. JASON stares deep into the MAN's eyes.
MAN-(very frightened) Ple...Please.... don't... don't.. kill me....
JASON- I'm not going to kill you. I'm going to let you live under one condition.
MAN- Wh..Wh.... What?
JASON- I want you to deliver a message. To your "goddess", Hope. Are you ready?
MAN- Yea...Yeah.
JASON- Tell her this. Hell hath no fury for what I can do. I'm coming to get you, no matter what. Heaven, Hell, Hades, or Zeus can not and will not stop me from getting to you. And when I do get to you I'll kill you. Ready or not, I'm coming. Did you get that?
MAN- Ye..Ye.. Yeah.
JASON-
Good. Now go.
The MAN just stands there, still in shock.
JASON-
ARE YOU DEAF, BOY?!? You hear me, RUN!
The MAN runs out of the building. JASON turns around as the MAN runs past him.
JASON-
YOU BETTER RUN ALL THE WAY THERE OR I'LL KILL YOU!!!
The MAN disappears around the open hole of the outpost. JASON SMILES to himself.
JASON-(to himself)
Now aren't you glad that you read "How To Act" by David Borland?
JASON walks over and GETS INTO the Mustang. He STARTS the engine of the car. He
BACKS the car
up and it ROARS OFF into the night.

Fade to:
INT.: DAMARK MOVIE THEATER/DAY TIME
We see several ROBED MEN hooking up what appears to be several massive tanks to the pool.
XENA
and GABRIELLE are brought out, onto the stage by two ROBED MEN. They are STRAPPED
against
two posts stick up out of the stage. On a table a little ways from the posts are GABRIELLE'S
STICK, XENA'S SWORD and CHAKRAM. HOPE, now wearing a ceremony gown, watches as
the
ROBED MEN HOOK UP hoses to the TANKS and lead them INTO the pool. She MOVES over
to
GABRIELLE and XENA.
HOPE- Jason Madison has pushed us too far.
XENA- Maybe because you pushed him first.
HOPE- Well, he is on his way here. He made sure that we knew he was coming. And when he arrives, it will be too late for everyone in this miserable world.
GABRIELLE-
What's in the tank?
HOPE looks over at GABRIELLE for a moment.
HOPE-
You'll see.
She moves over to GABRIELLE.
HOPE- You and Xena will join the others.
GABRIELLE- The others?
HOPE- The five hundred-sixty two, the fifty from the village that you stopped at, plus the extra five hundred and forty from the surrounding area.
XENA- That's impossible. How could you get people from Jason's time?
HOPE-
Time and space, Xena, has no limit.
A ROBED MAN COMES UP next to HOPE. He SAYS SOMETHING into ear. HOPE
SMILES.
HOPE-
We're almost ready.
EXT.: DAMARK MOVIE THEATER/ALLEYWAY
The Mustang slowly pulls up into the empty alley. The engine CUTS OFF and it SLOWLY
MOVES in
stealth. It then comes to A COMPLETE STOP. JASON EXITS out of the car. He moves over to
the
FIRE ESCAPE and slowly climbs up it, M-16 DRAWN.
EXT.: DAMARK MOVIE THEATER/ROOF
JASON RUNS across the roof. He STOPS next a vent. He PULLS OUT a heart locket. He
THINKS for
a moment. He PUTS it into his pocket, pulling out his switch blade. The blade POPS out and
JASON
UNSCREWS the screws that hold the grate on. He PULLS it off and SETS it aside. He looks
into it.
JASON- I can do it.... I can do it.... No I can't. I can't do this. What was I thinking?
VOICE-(from behind)
You can do it.
JASON WHIPS around quickly and aims at ARES.
ARES- Wow, lay off the trigger.
JASON- Do you EVER knock?
ARES- Sorry to scare you like that.
JASON- Here to make sure I do the job?
ARES-
Yes. And to give you this.
ARES TAKES JASON's samurai sword. He HOLDS IT UP in the air for a moment.
LIGHTNING
STRIKES
HITTING THE SWORD. He HANDS it back to JASON. JASON NOTICES something.
JASON- This thing is heavier than it use to be.
ARES- My father has modified it to where you can use it against Dahak.
JASON- I thought you could only kill a god one way.
ARES- You can. Hines blood. But now you can kill Dahak with your sword.
JASON- Great. (puts sword into hoister) Now this means that if I go nuts and decide to kill a god, I'd just have to pull out my sword.
ARES- As soon as you kill Dahak, Zeus is going to remove the power after you are throughout.
JASON- Good. (climbs into the vent) Anything else I need to know?
ARES- No.
JASON- Wait a second, Dahak is suppose to be brought down by 'a hero of almost superhuman courage and resourcefulness.' I forgot his name. Who was it?
ARES-
You'll find out soon. Good luck.
ARES FLASHES into thin air. JASON begins his decent down the vent.
INT.: VENT
We follow JASON as he CRAWLS through the vent.
JASON-(to himself)
Ok, Jason. Listen up. The possibility that there might be an army of these dudes you've got to face
is
VERY high. Best option is to go in packing, leaving none of them standing, if you can.
JASON COMES UP onto a grate, which appears to be looming over the theater. He can see a
catwalk just a little ways from it. He LIFTS UP the great and gentlely PUSHES it aside.
INT.: THEATER
He COMES DOWN slowly, REACHING for the catwalk. He GRABS ahold of it and PULLS
himself over.
He CREEPS along the catwalk.
HOPE-(off screen and distanced)
(is chanting in some ancient Druid language. She stops chanting) Oh, here and now, with this life,
we
raise the Dark One from his imperial prison to rule what was once destined to be his. Father, may
you
enter our world.
We see several ROBED MEN turn on the hoses connected to the tanks. The ends of the hoses
slowly
SPEW out something. A dark red ooze. It slowly replaces the water in the pool. We look at
HOPE
as she stares at the flames.
HOPE-
(chants more Druid words and stops) May all those who oppose him die at the hands of him,
without
mercy. The old, crippled, blind, maimed, and your so-called gods shall fall prey to the Dark One.
HOPE PULLS OUT a knife and MOVES over to XENA. We look at the catwalk, just above the
stage.
JASON FINDS some rope and a hatch. He TIES the rope around a SUPPORT BEAM. HOPE
looks into
XENA'S EYES.
HOPE-
And may these sacrifices fuel you, father.
All of a sudden, a little ways from the tanks, JASON POPS down from the hatch, almost
repelling. He
JERKS to a complete stop. He AIMS the M-16 and FIRES. The shot KNOCKS the knife clean
from
HOPE's hand. She turns, looking up in surprise.
JASON-(sounding like Ricky from "I Love Lucy") LUCY, I'M HOME! You got some splaining to do!
HOPE-(to the ROBED MEN)
GET HIM!
JASON REPELS the rest of the way down, until he reaches the stage. Several ROBED MEN
close
in. JASON FIRES off a good round, taking down the first wave of them. HOPE TURNS, looking
at the
fire. She RUNS OVER. JASON manages to take down another wave of the bad guys. He runs
out of
ammo to the M-16. He sees one ROBED MAN with an ax CHARGING at him. JASON DROPS
the gun,
and PULLS OUT the samurai sword. The MAN lifts the ax and brings it down. JASON uses the
sword to
BLOCK the ax. All of a sudden, the blade of the ax SPLITS in half. Both JASON and the
ROBED MAN
stand in surprise.
JASON-
BOO!
The ROBED MAN is frighten and RUNS off. JASON quickly MOVES over to XENA and
GABRIELLE.
GABRIELLE- That the gods, you made it.
JASON-
And what? Miss a party like this?
JASON PULLS OUT his switch blade and cuts the ropes off of GABRIELLE and XENA. He
CLOSES it
and SHOVES it into his pocket. JASON is about to SPEED OFF to get some more bad guys
when
XENA grabs him by the arm.
XENA- I've got one question. Who's Lucy?
JASON-
LONG story.
JASON SPEEDS OFF, taking on several more bad guys with the sword. GABRIELLE and
XENA RUN
over to the table, PICKING UP their weapons.
XENA-
Now let's show them who's boss.
XENA ATTACKS several ROBED MEN, letting out her BATTLE CRY. GABRIELLE smiles.
GABRIELLE-
It's on!
JASON is FIGHTING with the samurai sword out in the rows of seats. XENA and GABRIELLE
JOIN in,
taking on their own groups of bad guys. HOPE comes up in front of the stage, in front of a crate
marked "EXPLOSIVES". JASON manages to take out a few, spotting HOPE. She HOLDS UP a
crossbow and FIRES. The arrow embeds itself into JASON'S CHEST. XENA SEES this.
XENA-
NO!
She comes close to being brought down by two ROBED MEN, but she manages to SLAM both
into
the WALL. JASON DROPS his sword, then FALLS to his knees, dazed. He then FALLS over
lifeless.
HOPE SMILES, knowing that victory is now theirs. She TURNS around, PLACING the
crossbow on
top of the crate. She LAUGHS to herself.
HOPE-(laughing)
What a pathetic human.
All of a sudden, the SOUND of a chain saw starting up catches HOPE'S ATTENTION. She
SPINS
AROUND to see JASON, very much alive, with the arrow sticking out of his chest. He REVS the
chain saw.
JASON-
How about a little bit of chopped meat?!?
JASON RAISES the chain saw and BRINGS it down. HOPE DODGES the blade of the
chain saw,
causing it to CUT a corner of the box off. She runs away from JASON.
JASON-
COME BACK HERE!
JASON CHASES after her, REVVING the chain saw.
JASON-
COME BACK HERE YOU PRICK!
HOPE tries to make it the exit stage left, but it's blocked by several crates. So, she MAKES A
RUN
for the stage right. JASON STOPS next to a series of ropes. He LOOKS AT THEM.
JASON'S POV: ROPE.
JASON QUICKLY follows the rope and finds that a wooden wall used for one of the old plays is
being
held up by the rope. We look back at JASON as he SWINGS the chain saw, CUTTING the
ropes.
The
wall COMES DOWN in front of HOPE, causing her to run into it. She turns around, facing
JASON.
JASON- You know, it's little pricks like you who think they can have everything for nothing. Hate to tell you this, chick. But you're nothing but a piece of horse crap that needs to be disposed of.
HOPE-
I don't get this. How can you live when I shot you?
JASON PULLS the arrow out of his chest and PULLS out the kevilar vest that he took from the
Army
Surplus store from under his shirt.
JASON-
I'm a genius, Hope. I don't plan, I think ahead!
HOPE LOOKS over to see a sword sitting on the stage. She RUNS over and PICKS it up. She
HOLDS
it ready with a SMILE on her face. XENA and GABRIELLE have FINISHED up with the
ROBED MEN.
Not a single one of them are standing. XENA and GABRIELLE LOOK on at what takes place on
the
stage.
JASON- Why don't you become one of the good guys, Hope? I mean, you get to save lives. It's more fun.
HOPE- Why do you care so much about your world for?
JASON-
I don't. It's my friends I care about!
JASON ATTACKS HOPE, the chain saw ROARING like a beast. HOPE BLOCKS the blade
with
the
sword, CAUSING SPARKS to fly from both the blades. JASON SWINGS it around, trying to
catch
her off guard. But she BLOCKS it again. JASON PUSHES down hard on the CHAIN SAW,
causing
SPARKS to fly again. This time, the BLADE of the sword BREAKS. HOPE STARES in shock.
JASON GRINS evilly. All of a sudden, the chain saw SPUTTERS. JASON tries revving it, but
it's
no
good. The thing stalls out, due to the lack of gas. JASON tosses it aside, ANGERED.
JASON-
AH! I HATE GAS POWERED THINGS!
HOPE STANDS for a brief moment, then RUNS. JASON, SEEING this, PICKS UP a crossbow
sitting
on the ground next to him. He AIMS and FIRES. The arrow flies through the air, and embeds
itself into
HOPE'S BACK. She SLOWS surprised. JASON DROPS the crossbow. HOPE drops to her
knees and
falls forward onto her stomach. She tries to reach for the arrow, but can't get to it.
JASON-
Look at you, you prick. You're nothing but a cockroach needing to be squashed.
XENA and GABRIELLE GET UP onto the stage. JASON moves over to HOPE. He PUTS his
foot at the
small of her back and PULLS the arrow out. HOPE SCREAMS in pain.
JASON-
Wimp.
JASON tosses the arrow over his shoulder. JASON HEARS something. He LOOKS over at the
pool,
finding red liquid spilling over it's limit. GABRIELLE WALKS over. She bends over, touching it.
She
LOOKS at her figures, covered in the liquid. She stares at it eyes wide.
JASON- What is that?
HOPE- It's.... It's.. blood.
JASON- What?
HOPE- The blood of the five hundred-sixty two from your time, the fifty from the village and the extra five hundred.
XENA-
Oh, no. Jason, if that's true then... We're too late.
JASON LOOKS down at HOPE then at GABRIELLE. The fire in the pool slowly ROARS.
XENA
RUNS OVER and GRABS GABRIELLE, PULLING her away. JASON stands, looking at the
fire as
it's shape TRANSFORMS into a skeleton. The blood from the pool slowly CRAWLS up the
fire-like skeleton until it reaches the top of the skull. All anyone can do is WATCH. The blood
FORMS ORGANS, MUSCLE, and at last SKIN. A ROBE slowly fades out of nowhere, and
covers
this THING, whatever it is. It's eyes are CLOSED. They slowly OPEN revealing pitch-black eyes.
He looks like he is in his later 30s. We look back at HOPE.
HOPE-
Hello, father.
Fade to:
BACKGROUND COLOR: BLACK
Fade to:
INT.: DAMARK MOVIE THEATER
JASON STANDS wide eyes. He SLOWLY BACKS off the stage, running into XENA and
GABRIELLE.
JASON- That's Dahak?
XENA- Yes. Why do you sound so disappointed?
JASON-
I don't know. I figured he'd be a little taller.
DAHAK moves over to his daughter HOPE. He LOOKS at her. She has a SMILE on her face.
She
manages to get on her back and sits up.
HOPE-
Welcome, father.
DAHAK turns, seeing XENA, GABRIELLE, and JASON.
JASON- Something tells me that running is the best option at this point.
DAHAK-
Which one of you is the chosen one?
JASON, XENA, and GABRIELLE LOOK at each other. JASON LOOKS at DAHAK.
JASON-
Excuse me, mister..... um.... Dahak. Can you be more specific?
DAHAK just STARES with his PITCH BLACK EYES.
DAHAK'S POV: GABRIELLE
DAHAK looks at GABRIELLE. A SMILE forms on his face.
DAHAK- Well, well, well. Isn't this a surprise. The Bringer came.
XENA- The Bringer?
JASON- Xena, according to myth, the Bringer of the Goddess was the one who started this. The one who was the mother of the Goddess. So, that makes Gabrielle the Bringer of the Goddess.
XENA- So, what do you call Hope?
JASON-
She's the Goddess. She's the Bringer of the Destroyer. Both bringers are entirely different.
DAHAK begins to WALK towards GABRIELLE. But JASON STANDS in the way.
JASON-
Back off, Dahak.
DAHAK STARES at JASON for a moment. He SMILES and begins to LAUGH. He TURNS
looking
up at the ceiling.
DAHAK-(laughing)
This is your hero, Zeus? This is Keresapa? The valiant hero with almost superhuman courage and
resourcefulness?
Then it hits JASON..... KERESAPA, JASON'S NICKNAME..... KERESAPA, THE HERO
WHO BROUGHT
DOWN A GOD.... JASON puts two and two together. And he realizes the truth.
JASON-
Yo, "Hak"-Face.
DAHAK TURNS to JASON.
JASON-
Sorry to burst your bubble, buddy...... But I am the valiant hero..... who has almost superhuman
courage, and the resourcefulness needed to bring you down. Smile for the camera, punk. Today's
not only your birthday, but it's the day you die too. I am KERESAPA!
LIGHTNING BURSTS through the roof, and HITS JASON. XENA and GABRIELLE take off
down the
isle towards the exit to the theater. JASON PULLS OUT his sunglasses and PUTS THEM ON.
JASON- It's the end for you Dahak. The chosen one is here.
DAHAK- You think you can face me, you pitiful child?
JASON-
I don't think..... I know.
XENA and GABRIELLE stop half way down the isle, turning around to see what is about to
happen. JASON LOOKS over to find an ax. He quickly moves over, PICKS UP the ax, and
HOLDS
it ready.
JASON-
LET'S GET IT ON!
He ATTACKS, SWINGING the ax as hard as he can. DAHAK DUCKS and DODGES every
swing.
JASON takes ANOTHER SWING. DAHAK GRABS his throat and LIFTS him off the
GROUND.
DAHAK- I thought you'd be a little stronger than you are.
JASON-(nearly choking)
DON'T THINK!
JASON KICKS DAHAK hard in the stomach, nearly KNOCKING the air out of him. JASON
DROPS
to the floor HARD. He RUNS and HIDES behind several crates. DAHAK CATCHES his breath
and
TURNS towards the crate.
DAHAK- So much for your superhuman courage. You're more like a mouse!
JASON-(off screen) Well, at least I'm smart!
DAHAK-(laughs) Do you think you can win?
JASON-
Like I told Hope. I'm a genius, I don't plan...
JASON POPS UP from behind the crates, HOLDING a crossbow.
JASON-
I THINK AHEAD!
He FIRES the arrow and it EMBEDS itself into DAHAK'S CHEST. He SCREAMS in pain. He
FALLS
to the stage, lifeless. JASON drops the CROSSBOW. He moves past DAHAK'S BODY, looking
at
XENA and GABRIELLE.
GABRIELLE- Are you ok?
JASON-
Yeah. No problem.
All of a sudden, DAHAK gets up. XENA and GABRIELLE look EYES WIDE.
XENA-
JASON WATCH OUT!
JASON TURNS around, only to be met by DAHAK'S FIST. The PUNCH sends JASON flying
into the wall on the far side of the stage. JASON FALLS flat on his face, the wall leaving an
imprint.
DAHAK- Did you think I could be brought down so easily?
JASON- Oh, give me SOME kind of credit, Dahak. I'm a learner here!
DAHAK-
Your lesson is over, boy. Now it's time for your final lesson!
DAHAK CLOSES his eyes and RAISES his hands. He begins to chant something in some kind
of language. He stops chanting and smiles.
DAHAK-
I hope you're ready, Keresapa. For now you face my TRUE FORM.
DAHAK begins to INCREASE in size and width. JASON stares as DAHAK TRANSFORMS
into
a DRAGON WITH THREE HEADS. All three heads SHRIEK, causing GABRIELLE, XENA,
and
JASON to COVER their ears. JASON looks at DAHAK.
JASON-
Great. Just wonderful.
The first head comes at JASON. JASON rolls out of the way, FALLING off the stage. He
PRESSES
his back against the stage. He waves to XENA and GABRIELLE.
JASON-
GET OUT OF HERE!
XENA GRABS GABRIELLE and they RUN, but instead of exiting the theater, THEY DUCK
for
cover behind several crates beside the door. JASON RUNS down the stage left isle. The middle
head
SPITS FIRE at JASON as he RUNS. It CLOSES IN on him. JASON JUMPS and RUNS
ACROSS the
arm rests of the seats. The fire CHASES after him. JASON TRIPS and FALLS to the floor. The
fire
PASSES over head. DAHAK QUITS spewing fire. JASON begins to crawl along the floor.
JASON-(to himself)
It ALWAYS seems to work in the movies.
He stops, realizing that he's at the middle of the isle. He knows that he's corner. XENA and
GABRIELLE
LOOK from behind several of the crates.
GABRIELLE- We've got to help him.
XENA- I know. He's a sitting duck there.
GABRIELLE-
If we could only distract Dahak or a moment.
XENA comes up with an idea. She LOOKS around, seeing a ROPE.
XENA'S POV: ROPE.
Her eyes FOLLOWS the rope, seeing that it leads to several crates right above DAHAK'S body.
We
look at her as a smile grows on her face. She GRABS her CHAKRAM from her hoister and
THROWS
it. It ZOOMS quickly at the rope, CUTTING it. It BOUNCES off a near-by wall, then off a
crate, then
ZOOMS back towards XENA. She CATCHES it. The crates above DAHAK come down,
PINNING him
between the crates and the stage. JASON seeing this, RUNS down the isle towards the stage. He
SLIDES across the stage, GRABBING the chain saw he had abandoned earlier. He CRAWLS
behind
a crate, finding a gas jug sitting restfully. JASON OPENS the tank to the chain saw and begins to
FILL it. He NOTICES a shadow looming over him. He LOOKS UP.
JASON'S POV: HOPE WITH AX
She has the ax LIFTED high. She brings it down with a SWOOP! JASON MOVES out of the
way
before it comes close to killing him. JASON KICKS HOPE'S FEET from under her, causing her
to
come down to the ground HARD. JASON gets the tank FULL and STARTS up the
CHAIN SAW.
DAHAK gets the crates OFF of him. He looks over at XENA and GABRIELLE. He slowly
CLOSES
in when he hears a WHISTLE.
JASON-(whistles)
Yo!, "Hak"-face!
All three heads TURN to JASON, LOOKING at him on the stage, the chain saw REVVING.
JASON-
LET'S GO!
The three heads ATTACK JASON. JASON keeps them off USING the chain saw. One of the
heads
tries to BITE JASON, but JASON CUTS it with the chain saw. DAHAK is even madder now.
The
middle head BITES the chain saw and PULLS it out of JASON'S HANDS. It doesn't like the
TASTE
and SPITS it OUT. JASON DODGES the chain saw, coming close to being skinned alive. The
chain saw
EMBEDS itself into the stage. DAHAK KNOCKS JASON flat onto the stage. It is certain that
JASON
has met his ending. GABRIELLE looks over near one of the seats.
GABRIELLE'S POV: JASON'S SAMURAI SWORD
She sees the shinny sword, sitting on the ground next to the chair. We look back at GABRIELLE
as she RUNS for it.
XENA-
GABRIELLE NO!
GABRIELLE GRABS the sword and LOOKS towards the stage.
GABRIELLE-
JASON!
All three heads of DAHAK TURN toward GABRIELLE.
GABRIELLE-
HERE!
With all of her might, she THROWS the sword towards the stage. JASON, seeing this, GETS UP
on
his FEET and JUMPS for the sword. In mid air, JASON CATCHES it by the hand. He LANDS
back on
the stage, READY. All three heads turn back towards JASON.
JASON-
ROCK AND ROLL FOREVER!
JASON CHARGES at DAHAK'S CHEST. Each one of the heads try to BITE JASON, only
missing him.
He takes the sword, and SHOVES it into DAHAK'S CHEST, in his heart. DAHAK is
STUNNED with
pain. JASON LIFTS his leg and KICKS the sword DEEPER into DAHAK'S heart. All three
heads
SCREAM in pain. Slowly, DAHAK TRANSFORMS back into his human form, the sword still in
his chest.
DAHAK STUMBLES, falling to the floor. He slowly DIES. All of a sudden, his body appears to
MELT
away onto the stage. And slowly, his flesh FADES OUT, along with his organs and his muscles.
The
last thing that is left is the skeleton, it dies out, almost like a fire, leaving an imprint on the
stage.
JASON WALKS over, and PICKS UP his sword. He PLACES it back into the hoister. He
WALKS OFF
the stage towards the EXIT, finding XENA and GABRIELLE waiting.
GABRIELLE- Are you ok?
JASON-
I've had better days.
HOPE, still on stage, climbs to her feet and slowly walks over to the box in the middle of the
stage.
EXT.: DAMARK MOVIE THEATER
JASON, XENA, and GABRIELLE exit out of the theater, the door they exit out of stays open.
They get a
good distance.
HOPE-
MADISON!
All three of them STOP and TURN around. HOPE LEANS on the box. We pan over to see the
word
EXPLOSIVES.
HOPE-
I'LL STILL GET YOU SINCE I'M STILL ALIVE!
JASON PULLS OUT the missile launcher that he took from the Army Surplus Store from behind
his jacket.
He AIMS it at HOPE.
JASON-
I hate the movies....
He PULLS the trigger and the missile FLIES off. JASON drops the launcher. We follow the
missile as
it roars into the theater. HOPE SCREAMS, as the missile HITS her. The box mark
EXPLOSIVES
explodes. And slowly, the Damark Movie Theater GOES UP in a massive explosion, which our
heros
WATCH. As the remains of the theater collapses inward, Los Angeles FADES AWAY into...
EXT.: GRASSY FIELD.
The heros STAND, LOOKING around.
GABRIELLE- What happened?
XENA- I guess by destroying Dahak and the theater, we reversed the merge.
JASON-
I don't feel to good guys.
JASON LIFTS his shirt to revile his stomach patched up in Duct Tape, blood slowly PORING
out from
underneath it. JASON PASSES OUT. XENA and GABRIELLE loom over him.
GABRIELLE-
Jason? Jason are you ok?
XENA checks the wound.
XENA-
He's lost a lot of blood. We need to get him back to the village.
There is the sound of a horse galloping comes up. XENA looks up to find ARGO coming up out
of
nowhere.
XENA-
ARGO, GIRL! Are you ok?
She goes over, checking over her horse, petting her neck.
XENA- It's over now. We're still here.
GABRIELLE-
Xena, human here, dying.
XENA moves over and picks JASON up. She LAYS him over the saddle.
XENA-
Ok, Argo. We need to get back to the village. You know the way.
ARGO begins to slowly gallops, XENA and GABRIELLE RUNNING along side them.
Cut to:
EXT.: VILLAGE/LATER
XENA, GABRIELLE, ARGO, and JASON COME into the village, now full of people.
GABRIELLE
is confused.
GABRIELLE- I thought they were all dead?
XENA-
They were. But since Dahak was stopped, it reversed not only the merge, but what Dahak and
Hope
had done.
Several VILLAGERS SEE what's going on. A LEADER of the village COMES UP.
VILLAGE LEADER- Who are you? What are you doing here.
XENA- Look, our friend here has been injured. (pulls JASON off the saddle) We need a hut and several things.
VILLAGE LEADER- I know who you are now.. You're Xena!
GABRIELLE- PLEASE, SIR! We need a hut!
VILLAGER LEADER-
Of course, of course. Follow me.
The VILLAGE LEADER walks off, XENA(still carrying JASON) and GABRIELLE following.
EXT.: HUT/NIGHT
GABRIELLE PACES back and forth outside the door of the hut. XENA COMES OUT,
CARRYING
JASON'S clothes.
GABRIELLE- Is he ok?
XENA- Yeah. I was able to get the bleeding to stop. And I patched him up.
GABRIELLE-
Thank the gods. I thought he wouldn't.
XENA hands GABRIELLE JASON'S CLOTHES.
XENA- Here. Go get some more water for us to drink and see if you can find anyone to get this clean.
GABRIELLE-(taking JASON'S clothes)
Ok. I'll be back.
GABRIELLE WALKS off. XENA STAND GUARD at the door.
INT.: HUT
We a fire burning in the fire place. We slowly pan over to see JASON, SLEEPING. We continue
to pan
to see a FIGURE in the room. The FIGURE moves over to JASON and bends down. We don't
show the
face. All we can see is her back. She leans over and kisses JASON gentlely on the forehead.
FEMALE FIGURE-(almost whispering) My courageous Keresapa. My dear Jason.
JASON-(eyes still closed) Mom?
FEMALE FIGURE-(whisper)
Shh. Hush my dear child. (runs hand gentlely along JASON'S CHEEK) I'm proud of you my son.
(sings) Hush little baby, don't say a word. Momma's gonna buy you a mocking bird. If that
mocking bird won't sing, Momma's gonna buy you a diamond ring. If that diamond ring won't
shine, Momma's gonna sing you a lullaby...
EXT.: HUT
XENA TURNS around to face the door, hearing the singing. She OPENS the door and ENTERS.
XENA'S POV: EMPTY HUT.
XENA finds the hut empty. She looks over at JASON, SLEEPING soundly. We look back at
XENA,
as she notices that the cover on JASON is only up to his stomach. She WALKS over and PULLS
the cover up to his neck, TUCKING him in.
XENA-
Good night..... fellow warrior.
She TURNS and WALKS out. We pan back to JASON. And in a far off distance, we can hear the
female figure SINGING to JASON.
FEMALE FIGURE-
If that diamond ring won't shine, Momma's gonna sing you lullaby.
