Floating nearly awake from a sensual dream, Shannon Hudson stretched her compact frame out fully. With eyes still locked shut, she reached across the bed and rolled on her left side. Pulling the warm softness close, Shannon snuggled tightly. "Mmmm." She relaxed and inhaled deeply. Still half asleep, her hungry lips brushed across the silky plain. Her mouth softly claimed its target. As her tongued snaked out its tip, circling lightly, Shannon relished the feelings brewing in her whole body.

The annoying screeches from her alarm clock brought her fully awake yet in despair, seeing that she was alone and clinging tightly to her pillow. Realizing the dream body she craved was just a fantasy, she sighed. "Ugh! There must be a girl for me." She slammed her head into the pillow. "There must!"

Shannon ran her fingers through her short honey colored hair. She fixed her wire-rimmed glasses in place, framing her intoxicating green eyes perfectly. "There." She spoke to her image in the bathroom mirror and then sucked in a deep breath and asked hopefully. "Will today be the day?"

What appeared to be another typical day for the young woman as she headed off to work would turn out to be life altering. Who knew that before the end of day Shannon would meet a blonde with eyes that matched the color of her own and she would turn her world upside down?

*************************

Teal MacMillon hurried her step to avoid a car that was racing through the intersection. Its horn did not distract the confident woman from her mission. Today's the day! Teal rubbed her aching lower back.

She strolled into the store intent on buying the best mattress they had. It was about thirty minutes until closing time and Teal had wanted to get to the store immediately after work, but her boss demanded she stay for another marathon meeting. "I've got to find me another job." She acknowledged absent-mindedly.

"Excuse me?"

Teal jerked her blonde head around and her eyes instinctively draped the curvature of the young saleswoman's body. "Well, hello there."

"May I help you?" Shannon asked.

A lascivious grin popped on Teal's face. Oh, yes, you may.

Not getting any response from the would-be customer that seemed to have fallen into a stupor, Shannon tried again to get the beautiful woman's attention. The younger woman sized up the blonde and immediately liked what she saw. "I said may I help you?"

"Oh, yeah." Teal finally heard the delicious sweet voice tickle her eardrums. She coughed and turned serious yet let her unconscious out. "Take me to bed."

Wondering if she heard the blonde correctly, Shannon cocked her head to the side and said. "Take you where…"

But before the clerk could finish her sentence, Teal realized she needed to clarify her statement. "I mean take me to your bed."

Shannon snorted. Oh, you are fresh. She crossed her arms, waiting for the flustered woman in front of her to regain her composure. She doesn't look that embarrassed.

With a silly grin on her face, Teal's eyes dropped downward for only a brief moment before she summoned her courage. Now looking directly into green eyes flecked with golden specks, Teal cleared her throat again. "I need a bed. I mean mattress. To sleep on." She added as if to clarify her intent.

"Oh, I know what you mean." Shannon twirled around quickly, hiding the smile on her face. "This way."

Teal gazed at the sway of the younger woman's hips. Mesmerized, she followed the saleswoman like a river flowing to the sea.

When Shannon stopped at the edge of a king size bed, Teal bumped into her, knocking the saleswoman on the bed. Shannon plopped down on her stomach, flipping over quickly.

The shocked look on Shannon's face brought Teal out of her stupor. "Oh, excuse me. I didn't see you. I mean I saw you." Teal's eyes floated casually over the younger woman's body. "What I mean is I didn't realize you stopped so abruptly." Seeing that Shannon was frustrated, Teal reached for her. "Here. Let me help you up."

Shannon hesitated. "Can I trust you?"

"Of course." Teal assured the other woman then smiled. "Well, in most cases." The older woman gently took Shannon's hand, pulling her off the bed and into her arms.

Shannon found herself wrapped deliciously in arms that felt like home. "I guess this isn't one of those cases where I can trust you."

Teal wiggled her eyebrows. "I don't know. Depends on what you're trusting me to do."

Even though she didn't really want it, Shannon made her soft request known as she shyly looked downward. "Let me go please."

"Now what's the fun in that?" Seeing that the younger woman was not in the mood to play, Teal released her temporary captive.

They both felt a sense of loss when the contact broke.

Shannon rifled her fingers through her hair and adjusted her glasses as she looked around at the numerous beds. "What size are you looking for?"

Teal couldn't help herself as her eyes roamed once again over the luscious body of the saleswoman. You're just my size. "I, ah… what do you recommend?"

Shannon cocked her fist under her chin as she contemplated. "Depends on what you have in mind?"

Both women's minds strayed down a sensual road but made a quick
u-turn.

Teal mimicked Shannon's stance as she studied several beds in front of her. "Yes, it does depend." Teal shifted her eyes toward the woman standing next to her. "What do you have in mind?"

"To tell you the truth, I've had a long day." Shannon sighed. "I had to work a double shift and I'm kinda tired so I could fall into anyone of these beds and be perfectly content."

"Perfectly?" Teal arched an eyebrow.

For some reason, Shannon blushed upon hearing that question. "Well, temporarily perfectly content. How bout that?"

Teal grinned. "I know what you mean. I think I could do the exact same. Not even sure if I can make it home without falling asleep cause I'm so exhausted."

"Then maybe we should get to this so we can both get some much needed sleep." Shannon suggested.

Scratching her cheek, Teal had to agree. "Yeah, I suppose. Although, I had wished to be sleeping on a new mattress tonight. My old one is killing my back."

Shannon saw the other woman rub her lower back and she instinctively reached over yet caught herself before she touched the other woman. "I'm sorry. We close shortly and all our delivery men have left already."

Teal shrugged. "It's okay. Maybe tomorrow."

"So? Where should we start?" Shannon spread her arm out toward several beds.

"How bout that one?" Teal pointed to a large bed a few feet away. After a few short steps, she leaped on it. "Ugh!"

"What?" Shannon was immediately concerned, thinking that her customer may have hurt herself.

Waving Shannon closer, Teal beckoned. "You try it and see for yourself. I want a second opinion."

The saleswoman tentatively sat on the edge of the bed and immediately knew the reason for Teal's grunt. "Oh, this is too hard."

"Yep." Teal agreed. "I like something a bit more… soft."

Green met green for a brief moment in understanding, firing sensual images in their minds.

Shannon practically jumped off the bed after the intense silent exchange between the two women. "Over here. I think this one will be more to your liking."

Teal followed the other woman like a happy puppy dog. If she had a tail, she would have been wagging it.

Pushing down on the bed with her hand, Shannon surmised. "This is nice."

With eyes glued to Shannon's soft well-shaped arm and delicate hand, Teal had a hard time focusing on her mission. "You try it."

The saleswoman sat down on the edge. "Yes. It really is nice. Come on, now you." Shannon reached out her hand to Teal.

The older woman brought her knee upon the bed and flopped down next to Shannon. "Hmmm? For sitting, it's okay, I guess."

"Maybe you should lay down." Shannon suggested.

Next to you would be nice. But Teal brushed that thought aside and fell back on the bed. "Uh oh."

"What?" Shannon scooted further onto the bed. "Too hard?"

Teal pulled the younger woman down. "You tell me."

The bed seemed to melt deeper and deeper under her. Shannon gazed over at the woman lying next to her. "Too soft for your back. Right?"

"Exactly." Teal didn't want to move even though the mattress was way too mushy for her.

Shannon lifted up then without giving it a thought grabbed Teal's hand, jerking her up off the bed. "Over here." Shannon never let go of Teal's hand as they traversed around a few beds on display before arriving at the last one, located near a corner in the store.

Teal sized the bed up as she walked along the side then down around the bottom of the bed. "What do you think? Should I try it out?" Teal bounced on the bed a couple of times.

"Sure. Go ahead." Shannon cocked her head slightly then quickly looked around the showroom for her co-worker. Not seeing Fred, she figured he was out back in the office, tallying up the day's receipts. It was near the end of the month and they had yet to make their sales goal.

Teal stretched out on the queen size bed, making herself comfortable. "Ahh! This is nice."

"It's the best in our store. A little pricey but well worth it." Shannon assured the woman lying on the bed. As her eyes crawled up the full length of Teal's well-built body, Shannon unconsciously licked her lips.

Teal smiled when she noticed. "Join me." The older woman patted a place on the bed next to her.

Shannon gulped as her eyes chased across the showroom's floor, looking to see if they were really alone. "I don't know." Shannon was already a wee bit flushed from being so near to the older woman.

"Oh, come on." Teal sat up. "I wanna see how two people fit on the bed. You know, just in case." Teal wiggled her eyebrows. "I get lucky."

A rampage of images ran through Shannon's mind and all of them were appealing but she hesitated. "I don't think I should." She was wondering if she could trust herself.

Teal put on her best frown. "Hey, I'm the customer. And I need your expert opinion." Teal's pleading green eyes pulled at Shannon like a strong magnet. When Teal held out her hand, the younger woman melted upon hearing the older woman's soft plead. "Please."

With another quick look around the store, Shannon tentatively took the last step and sat down on the side of the bed. "It's nice." She bounced a few times but remained upright.

"Now lay down." Teal moved to give the younger woman some room. "Here. Next to me."

With a slight tug on her arm, Shannon did as she was asked. Turning on her side to face the older woman, Shannon smiled. "It is really nice."

"Very nice. Just right." Teal agreed and smiled.

The couple lay there for a few long moments without saying a word. It was a comfortable silent that fell between them and brought them closer than either expected.

Looking into eyes that mirrored her own, Shannon's heart sped up. "So?"

A slow smile widen on Teal's face. "So what?"

"So, do you like it?" Shannon nearly blushed.

"Yes, I do. Very much." Teal ever so slightly scooted her body closer.

Shannon's own body ached to inch forward. "Will you take it?"

"Are you offering?" Teal couldn't help but tease the shy young woman.

Shannon's bright eyes turned downcast and whispered. "Maybe." Remembering where she was, the salesperson in her came back into focus. "I could give you a discount."

Teal thought of all the things she would like for the pretty girl lying next to her could give her and what she would gladly give in return. Teal cocked her head up slightly to get a better look.

"Oh." Shannon noticed Teal's neck at an odd angle. "I'll be right back." Shannon raced over to another bed, retrieving a long pillow. "Here." She tossed the other woman a pillow before jumping on the bed. Looking into green eyes, she asked. "Is that more comfortable for you?"

Teal scooted the long pillow toward Shannon. "Only if you share it with me."

The infectious smile on the other woman melted Shannon's heart. She easily fell into Teal's innocent seduction. Shannon shifted closer, sharing the pillow with Teal. "I didn't think you'd be a woman that liked to share." Shannon winked.

Teal shrugged. "Depends."

"On what?"

Teal winked. "On who I'm sharing what with."

Shannon thought she was quickly losing control from that amused glint in the blonde's eyes that she changed subjects. "When you came in, you said something about quitting your job. Don't you enjoy it?"

Teal noticed the conversation diversion and went along with it. "The job's okay. It's the boss that I dislike."

"Why?"

Teal gave the younger woman a mischievous smile. "Cause he's bossy."

"You don't take direction well, huh?"

"Depends." The older woman smiled even bigger.

"I know. I know. Depends on who's giving them. Right?"

Teal tapped the younger woman on the nose. "Exactly."

Shannon stared for a long time at the woman lying next to her, wishing she could figure the other woman out.

Finally, Teal asked. "What cha thinkin' about?"

You. "Wondering what you're thinking about?" Shannon admitted. But upon seeing the sexy gleam in Teal's eyes, she added. "If you want the bed or not, I mean."

The sweet smile never left Teal's face as she innocently asked. "Would you be happy with this bed?"

Sensing the sincerity in the other woman's voice, Shannon answered honestly. "Yes. But the real happiness would be in who I'm sharing it with."

Teal inched closer. "I know exactly what you mean." She sighed. "When being near the one you care about… the one that you just can't get out of your mind cause she's there with every word you speak, every thing you do."

"Exactly." Shannon's eyelids drooped slightly as images of that 'dream' body she craved conjured up in her mind. She wanted nothing more than to fall asleep right now and melt into her nightly fantasy. But this time when morning came, she wished she would be cuddled next to that body instead of her pillow. She was lost momentarily in her dreamscape.

Teal watched the younger woman intently, wondering what Shannon was thinking about. The older woman reached out tentatively with a lone finger to trace the outline of Shannon's delicious lips. "So soft."

Shannon sighed heavily at the touch and smiled. "Mmmm."

Teal spent the longest moment of her life staring at the beautiful woman next to her and she wished it would be for eternity. The beauty of that moment lulled Teal into a sleepy state. Barely able to speak a word, Teal finally managed. "Hmm… I'll take this one."

Roused from her near slumber, Shannon pulled her eyes open. "What?" However, the comfort of the bed tugged at her and nearness of the woman lying across from her eased her back into a lazy slumber. Shannon reached out and touched Teal's forearm as if she had done it many times before.

There was one instance when Teal rationalized that she should get up and go home. But the sweet comfort she now luxuriated in tugged at her so strongly that nothing could move her from the spot she now occupied. Knowing that both women were exhausted from long hours at work, Teal acquiesced to her indulgent desire. "Nothing." With a smile on her face, Teal carefully removed Shannon's glasses, placing them in a safe spot. "Rest now."

Barely able to keep her eyes open, Shannon heard Teal whisper. "Sweet dreams." The saleswoman's mind exploded with images of the dream body she fantasized about every night that now lay close to her. As her eyes fell shut for the night, Shannon's last thought brought a smile to her face. This must be the girl for me.

Fred stuck his head out of the office after closing the books. He searched the showroom's floor, looking for his co-worker. Not seeing Shannon anywhere, he assumed she left for the evening. "Poor girl. She was too tired to even say goodnight." Fred flipped off some of the lights, leaving only a few on to softly illuminated the store before locking the door as he left.

Shannon snuggled closer when she heard a faint door close in the distance. Seeking the safest place on Earth, Shannon closed the distance between them.

Sensing the warmth next to her, Teal hugged the younger woman tightly as they both drifted deeper into a sound and restful slumber.

Floating nearly awake from a sensual dream, Shannon Hudson stretched her compact frame out fully. With eyes still locked shut, she reached out. Pulling the warm softness close, Shannon snuggled tightly. "Mmmm." She relaxed and inhaled deeply. Still half asleep, her hungry lips brushed across the silky plain. Her mouth reached for its target. As her tongued snaked out its tip, Shannon relished the feelings brewing in her whole body in sweet anticipation of claiming the luscious mouth before her. Barely a whisper away from the inviting lips, Shannon heard a loud grunt. Dragging her eyes open, she was shocked wide awake.

The startled movement from the woman next to her forced Teal from her intoxicating slumber. She stared into green eyes staring back at her and Teal smiled. But the intensity in those greens eyes caused her to pause. Shannon shifted her eyes at something near the bottom of the bed before quickly returning them to fall on Teal again. The concern in the younger woman's eyes was evident. Teal glanced sideways and found the cause of that distress. She sat up suddenly, pulling Shannon with her. "I'll take it."

"Miss Hudson." The store manager said with a heavy grim on his face.

"As a matter of fact, I'll take two of them." Teal announced. "The mattress, bedspring… everything."

"But…" Shannon was about to protest.

"I have an extra guess room." When Shannon didn't appear convinced, Teal continued. "I do have guests… now and then."

"Uh huh." Shannon still did not believe Teal. The younger woman believed Teal was trying to protect her from her irascible boss.

The manager's cash register mind ringed up the total the sale would bring and smiled. It was an expensive bed set and the manager knew they were nearing the end of the month sales. As the month had been slow in sales, he happily let the matter go. "I'll write it up." The manager practically skipped off to get his sales pad.

"Wow. That was close." Teal nudged the woman sitting next to her. "I thought he'd be mad at you but with that smile on his face… not sure what to think."

"Oh, I do. He's calculating his commission on the sale." Shannon chuckled. It was so like her boss. "I've got to get me another job."

An idea flashed across Teal's mind, but she decided to talk with Shannon about it when they got to know each other better. It was then she realized that sleeping alone even on the new bed was going to be hard. After spending the night with Shannon, Teal already felt a deep sense of loss. So, she grabbed for the pillow that they had shared. "I'm taking this with me now." Teal held the pillow close and inhaled deeply the younger woman's scent on it.

"No. That's not part of the set." Shannon argued.

"So? I'll buy it separately. But it's going with me." Teal insisted, hugging the pillow tightly.

Shannon grabbed at the pillow. She finally gained temporary guardianship of the pillow after tickling the other woman. "Mine." When a pout jumped on Teal's face, Shannon explained. "I won't be able to sleep without it."

Teal felt the young woman's pain. "I know what you mean. But I won't be able to sleep without it either."

They fought over custody of the pillow. Shannon finally offered a compromise. Teal would get it Monday, Wednesday and Fridays while Shannon would have use of it on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. That arrangement would give Shannon all the reason she needed to see Teal again.

"What about Sunday?" Teal asked, hoping to get it the extra day since she was paying for it. She would use any trick she could at the moment. Teal tugged the pillow away from the younger woman.

Shannon grabbed the pillow back from Teal. "Why don't we see what we can come up with at the end of the week or…" When Teal raised her eyebrows in question, Shannon continued. "…we may have to fight for it." With that, the younger woman swung around and walked off.

"Oh, yippee! A pillow fight." As Teal watched the sway of the young woman's hips mesmerize her, she knew without a doubt that in the end she would lose the fight, but she had great hopes of winning the war. Oh, yeah.
