Past the devils own temptation Beyond were angels sleep. To the holy invocation of a neon city street. I feel your hand, I hold you, through your eyes I see My love wherever I go, I take you with me.

Down the road of my desires, to the oceans of my peace. Through the fuming of my fires, until my yearning cease. I hear your voice, I know you, in your arms I sleep,

My love wherever I go, I take you with me.

Even though fed my hunger, even though I've made my peace I never understand it, how the journey led you here. But I have made a promise, that I intend to keep my love wherever I go, I take you with me.

Melissa Etheridge~I take you with me.

Its funny, the roads in which our life can turn, at such drastic angles. One moment, I refuse to fight, to defend myself. And the next I am the warrior that tries to protect the one I love the most in this world. I am lucky that the guard has agreed to let me write one last scroll. I sit here, with her in my arms fast asleep. With Roman guards surrounding us as I write our last will and testament.

I have so much I wish that I could have said, or done. I feel now that words come to me with much more easy then they have lately. Ironic isn't it? I think now of the friends we will leave behind, of Eli, Amarice and Joxer. Their battle is far from finished if they choose to take up the cause we'll leave behind.

I feel regret when I shouldn't. Regret that we couldn't do more then we already have in the past four years together. I am quickly running out of parchment, with too much left unsaid. I can see the cool gray of dawn, almost feel it. I can se the faces of those who watch me, and wonder why I have not slept. Who can sleep uner these conditions? Feeling Xena stir in my lap, I know its time to end the last scroll of Gabrielle, Bard of Potedaia, soulmate to Xena, the Lion of Amphipolis. In my heart and mind, I take all of you with me, with us. We're forever grateful - The scroll was cut short as the Roman Guards' took both the Bard and the warrior, dragging them to the crosses that had been made. The new journey begins as an old one ends, for the Warrior Princess and Her Bard.
