Special thanks to Imagine for her help with a minor block I had, and for her story "What do you do?" (Hosted on the Athenaeum). It was just the inspiration I needed, and could reflect the thoughts of the woman in the story, if one so desired.

The Morning After

This morning, I lay here alone, barely awake, and remember.
Last night.

The face, so beautiful and haunting, unforgettable each line and trace.
The lips that brought exquisite torture, desire that gleamed with unabashed want.
The tenderness that left me trembling, and made me beg for more.
The taste that lingers on my lips, an aphrodisiac I can't escape.
The hunger in my eyes, a craving, demanding I fulfill.
The ache that would not be assuaged.
The thunder raging in my chest that begged and pleaded for release.
The growl, a slip, betraying an immeasurable need.
The silent, ragged panting, threatening with helpless frustration.
The trembling that I cannot still, as white-hot pleasure surges in volcanic waves.
The twitching that turns to rocking, thrusting, bucking; screaming with a keening cry.
Then finally, convulsing, coming so hard the pain and pleasure ride hand in hand, my stomach clenching with each aftershock.

Now, as I lay here alone, fully awake, the sheets are drenched in sweat.
It is a dark and beautiful scent, and it belongs to her.
