SEX, VIOLENCE, & OTHER BAD STUFF: Nothin' but love in this one.
RATING: PG
TIMELINE: Nowhere and anywhere, it doesn't really matter. It goes by in seconds, anyway.
FEEDBACK: Pleeeaaase.
NOTE: This is what happens when chemistry class gets too boring. Kinda cheesy and sappy, but I'm not the one with many skills.
They stared at each other, bodies touching as he held her gently in his warm grasp. Brown eyes gazed into crystal blue, dangerously entranced. He saw them flicker with a feeling not unlike his own, and in a surge of emotion, he realized that he desperately wanted to wrap his love around her, to explore each mystery of her heart, to feel her soul twine with his.
Let me in, his eyes implored. Accept me.
Her eyes mirrored her uncertainty. I don't trust you, she replied silently, somberly. I've trusted you before, and now I live to regret it.
My eyes have opened since then.
As have mine. But I can't....
Why not? his gaze silently demanded. Your heart calls to me; even now I feel it beating in unison with mine. You feel as I feel, yet you continue to deny it. Why are you so afraid to love me?
It hurts to love you. Her eyes sang with sadness.
If it were otherwise, it would be meaningless, a contrived farce -
Despair laced her blue orbs. We are fighting on the wrong sides, you and I. I won't drown again in the blood and the power. I am on a different road now. As much as I care, as much as I want to, my destiny is in the greater good.
And my destiny is with you! he countered desperately, his heart swelling with the myriad of emotions welling inside, even as her eyes winced in doubt. I have the power to destroy the world threefold. I have basked in the rage of a thousand generations. All the riches of the earth are mine for the taking...but none can compare to the passion that flares inside me when you say my name, the contentment I feel when you're in my arms. Are you still so blind? You are the other half of my soul; I am empty without you, don't you see?
His eyes were sparkling now, as were hers, and as they stood at the precipice of their destiny, it seemed that all the world had stopped for them.
With a sincerity that glowed even brighter than the dark fire in his brown orbs, he continued, I love you. Would you believe me now? You have conquered me, and now I give you my heart, my soul. All those years when you thought you were my pawn, have you never realized that it was you who owned me? I'd give my godhood, my life for you, for I am yours.
She felt the honesty of his proclamation, though unspoken, and her soul leaped in glorious swirls as the evidence of her emotion rolled down her cheek. She gazed at him until she felt the electric warmth of his soul touch hers, and her heart replied, And I am yours.
His whole being pulsed with a love so deep that only Fate could understand it. Lovingly, gratefully, he engulfed his Princess - keeper of his heart, redeemer of his soul - in his strong arms, wanting never to let go. In a heartbeat, their lips met in the sweet celebration of souls who have been reunited.
And they closed their eyes.
