Hair of silk
Skin so fair
Emerald eyes aflame with wonder
Gabrielle stands alone

Staff in hand
She strolls along the sand
Watching as the sunsets
She's dreaming of the countless adventures
That lie ahead
Gazing at the stars as they emerge from their bed's
Marvelling at how much she's grown

No longer naīve
Not so easy to believe
That not so long ago she was just a child
Didn't know all too much about the big bad world waiting for her outside
Hadn't seen life's horror's through her innocent eyes

Her travels with Xena set her free
Showed her who she wanted to be
And through it all Xena was always there beside her
To guide her
She helped her find her true way in life

Through the highs and the lows
The ups and the downs
Through the pain and the tears
The warrior princess tried her best to be around
To help to heal the scars scourged upon Gabrielle's soul

Xena's unfaltering belief in her made her brave and bold

So now Gabrielle's no longer afraid
For she's finally found a place to call her own
