Message in the Wind

I was walking,
It was raining,
Then I stopped,
My eyes closed.
I listened to the wind talking,
"I love you," it whispered,
It was your voice speaking.

Upward I gazed,
On my face the rain cascaded,
"My soulmate," your voice uttered.
On my lips a smile eased,
The rain kissed,
Your lips I tasted.

Strength the wind grew,
Your body I felt.
On me the rain warmed,
Your love protected.

Slowly my eyes opened,
My hand rose,
In my hand, the wind I captured,
"I love you," to the wind I told.
"I need you," I ushered.
The wind instantly gusted,
My message it took.

For a moment I breathed,
As I stood,
And the wind caressed,
With your love surrounding.

My message you would receive,
Your smile I could imagine,
The wind and rain will send,
And they will protect,
Soulmates, thats what we are,
For this, we can only do.
