Anck-su-Namun! The lamented scream filled the crumbling cave as Imhotep's hand reached out for her.
Anck-su-Namun! The anguished cry screamed again.... Reaching out for love... waiting for that hand to save the fall onto the abyss of fire and the tearing away of the flesh from forms and souls from the hellspawn, from the vanquished all in the underworld.
Imhotep held on at the very edge... knowing that love would surely come. She would run... she would save her lover.... Imhotep had loved her for thousands of years.... Come back from death to love her again....so much pain, so much waiting... from the grips of death... love had given the strength to reach her...

Imsotep saw it... and at that moment a heart stopped beating... staring incredulously into eyes that denied and betrayed ...
Anck-su-Namun... was barely a whisper on lips that were the first to show the demise.
Tear filled eyes ... tears released to flow down a cheek that had known no tears. Eyes that had beheld only one love... known only one name... loved only one heart.
Anck-su-Namun.... Was the whisper heard reverently filled with such sadness that it shook the heavens with their anguish and despair...their disbelief.
Imsotep did not fall... the fingers, the arms, the strength within simply let go... released and allowed to be delivered into the raging fires of the abyss...
Imsotep who had come back from death to bring Anck-su-Namun to life again simply let go... with a heart that shattered ...
Anck-su-Namun... is heard still within the walls of the cave... as a call to love to which death had no dominion and yet was denied and betrayed in life.
