Once upon a time there was a world of fairies and dragons...before the world changed....before man took over the earth. This other world was called Uracay....it was full of magic and it was the plane still visible by the human eye that battled for the supremacy of good and evil on the human world.

This story that I am about to tell is about the greatest battle ever told...the hero that saved mankind and the last dragon of Uracay....

The magic world was dying, the Pelkin, a race of giants had overrun Uracay's borders through the treachery of Matey, a nobleman who sold his world for his own ambition, and now the two planes were in a cosmic battle for existence.

Matey had killed the White Empress and by so doing the land connected to her bled and succumbed to the invaders. The noblemen still loyal to the Uracay convened in a secret council to plan their next move. The race of man was also invited to the council. This was the first time that humans had been included and it was at this time that we begin.....because this is the moment that humans first took their place in the cosmos.

Paladar, Boonton, Eurelis, and Pagos were to be the representatives to the council. As they entered the golden gates of Uracay their mouths dropped in awe of its magnificence. As they entered the magic realm they also saw the decay...or the tarnishing...this world was dying...and the smell of death was permeable everywhere.

As they began to go up the long flight of steps to the golden doors before them they all froze in their steps as said doors began to slowly open before them. The light that shone through blinded them temporarily and suddenly they were faced with the most beautiful beings they had ever seen. Uracan's were beings of light, they held the power of the real and the magical, they were dreams and they were fantastic aberrations. Uracans were the soul of man; they were the ones that inspired heroes and legends. Uracans were bigger than life, they were the difference between greatness and the malevolent of a human world. They needed man to exist as much as man needed them to thrive and be better than themselves. It was a partnership that to this day had never truly been one....this is the beginning....this is my story.

The first Uracan that stepped forward was called Aray; he had been the White Queen's champion and the one that now led the army against the Pelkin.

The human men began to speak when Aray raised his hand to silence them.

"Who is this that you have hidden....let us see him." Aray demanded.

"We have no one hidden my lord, we are here to offer our sword in your fight against the Pelkin." Paladar bravely stepped forward pulled out his sword and laid it at Aray's feet.

Aray was pleased but still insisted. "Bring out the other."

"My lord..." Paladar began to say when the satchel in one of the wagons they had brought with them began to stir and his eyes grew wide with incredulity.

All eyes were upon the little fellow that emerged from the furs. He was a small brown haired boy....no more than nine or ten summers of age but he jumped off the wagon with a firm stance and walked up the steps with all the pride of a warrior.

Pagan audibly paled as he reached for his son before he went any further.

"My lord" Pagan began to speak as he held onto the boy and pulled him to him. "This is my son Michael, he wants to be a knight and wanted to come and fight for Uracay but as you can see my lord, he is just a boy. There is no deceit my lord, he must have snuck into the wagon....he will be sent back immediately." Pagan reassured Aray.

Aray's eyes had not released the boy and his finger called him to him. "Come here..."

Pagan held onto his son not knowing what would follow but Michael walked forward with no fear and stopped in front of Aray.

"You want to fight for Uracay?"

"Yes, I am going to save the White Dragon." Michael said with conviction.

Aray visibly paled and looked deeper into the young boy's eyes.

"There is no White Dragon boy....we are fighting to save Uracay...." Aray trailed off watching the boy suspiciously.

"My lord," Pagan interrupted as he walked up to stand next to his son. "He is a dreamer my lord, he is just a boy, he meant no harm."

"I am going to save the White Dragon!" Michael insisted.

"Michael!" Pagan wanted to silence his son before Michael was made to feel the ire of the beings before them. The Uracan had also been known to punish mankind not only reward them.

Aray never stopped staring at the boy. He suddenly turned and began to walk into the great hall. "Come, all of you....bring the boy as well, we may have a dragon for him to save."

Paladar, Pagan and the rest of the men were in shock as Michael was the first to walk into the great hall... they followed close by.
