~ Bring It On ~
by Shandy

Disclaimers: The characters Jazz, Cat and Mel are mine, even if two do look remarkably like two owned by Universal MCA, and the other resembles a slightly psycho Warrior Queen named Callisto. Also, a big Thank You to two of my friends who Mel and Fang are loosely based on (not that my friends are psycho). If you aren't 18+, please leave now….just thought I'd mention it.

Part 3

Gather round!

Gonna rock this place to the ground!

Get up and cheer 'til you drop,

The Lions will never stop!

We're bad, we know it!

We came, to show it.

What you see is what you get!

And you ain't seen nothing yet.

The cheer rattled round in my head, bugging me as I lay in bed. Mel, Bes and I went to see Cat cheering at the football game, but left before the game finished. Mel held my hand in the grandstand, and I felt unable to extricate my fingers from her grasp. I can't say that I didn't enjoy it, but Mel reminds me of someone I didn't like. In fact, at times, she reminds me of a psycho.

I grinned.

Time to get out. Lying in bed is boring when you don't like to sleep. Cat was moving further away from me. I knew it. After all I'd worked for- it was going down the drain. I can't shake this feeling I get when I'm round her. It's like I've met her before, but someone, like Mel has always gotten in the way of us being together.

I got up and slipped on a pair of jeans and pulled a red shirt over my head.

Gotta go do something. I'm bored. Bored bored.I thought about calling, but then decided not to disturb her. I pulled my bike into the car park and climbed the stairs to her apartment. She opened the door and I pushed her against the wall.

"Jazz, what're you doing?" She asked.

"Mel, if you get in the way of this thing with Cat, I will kill you." I muttered. She offered her lips up for a kiss and I let her go so that I could slip back out the door.

Jazz

I grinned. It felt good. Seeing the bruise form on Cat's face like that. Ha! Fang stepped in behind me to show her support. Gabby hung back, but that was better than Bes. Bes had refused to come.

Fang took a step forward. "My turn." I put a hand out to stop her.

"No. Let's wait and see what Jazz has to say." I winked. "That'll make it more fun next time." Fang nodded her agreement. Gabby whispered something and fang turned and slapped her.

"Don't you dare apologise to her. This is all Jazz's fault anyway." She shouted. Cat cringed against the wall. Fang smiled. "You're right Mel, this'll make it more interesting."

Cat looked up at us, eyes blazing, her blonde hair hung over one eye. "Why?" She managed to get out.

"Because," I crouched down beside her. "It was always me that Jazz wanted. You're messing things up. And besides, nobody likes you."

"Is that what this is about?" She asked. "Mel, you can have her, and if you don't like me, I wasn't forcing you to be friends with me."

"It's too late for that now, Cat." I said, pulling my lips back into a sneer.

Gabby grabbed my arm. "Let's go, Mel." She said. We left Cat on the floor of the gym.

"Oh, and Cat, if you tell Jazz it was us, your life won't be worth living." I grinned.

"See ya later!" Fang yelled over her shoulder. I laughed.

Mel

There was a knock on the door of the apartment and I looked up from my English novel. Grandma was in bed already and I wasn't expecting anyone.I got up and looked through the peephole. Jazz stood there, a big smile on her face. I opened the door quietly, putting a finger to my lips.

"I know, I know, be quiet." She whispered. I went back to the couch and turned the light off, before indicating that she should follow me to my room.

I bolted the door behind her and sat on the bed.

She paced up and down for a minute before turning back to me. "I didn't wake you did I?" She asked quietly.

"No, I was reading." I replied, wiping a hand across my eyes, "but sleep is sounding good."

She grinned. "Oh." Suddenly she crossed to me. "What happened to you?" She gasped.

"Nothing." I replied as evenly as I could. "in fact, I don't quite know what happened."

"Really?" She said sarcastically, "you sure you didn't fall down some stairs?" She paused and crossed to me. "Who did that?"

"Jazz, really." I said. I pulled my blanket up over me. Jazz was looking at me so strangely that I pulled the blanket right up to my chin. She stepped toward me and pulled the blanket away. "Jazz!" I cried. She held my hand away and lifted my long t'shirt in one swift movement.

"I…I don't know what to say." She said as she lowered my shirt again. I grabbed at the blanket. She'd seen the bruises on my stomach and there was no way I could get out of talking now. We both looked at each other silently. "It was Fang, wasn't it?" she asked eventually.

I shook my head. "No." She looked confused for a moment, her head cocked to one side slightly.

"Mel."

I nodded. She stood. "I'm gonna kill her." I grabbed her arm, falling off the bed at the same time. Jazz scooped me up effortlessly and placed me back on the covers.

"Don't, it wasn't her fault, she's just confused, and Fang and gabby, they were just scared, and they didn't know - "

"Gabby?" She gasped. I covered my mouth with my hand.

"Don't go after them." I pleaded. She scowled and nodded. "Stay with me." I asked. She slipped under the blanket with me. I pillowed my head on her breast and breathed in her scent.

"Just for a little while", she murmured against my hair. I fell asleep with my fingers tangled in her hair and her arms around me.

I awoke to find Jazz staring intently down at me. "What?" I asked.

"Nothing," she whispered, "you're gorgeous when you sleep, you know that?" I smiled and snuggled against her side.

"Catlyn!" my grandmother yelled. I groaned. How was Jazz going to get out? "I'm in the kitchen, hurry up, your breakfast is done."

"Quick!" I motioned to Jazz, "get out, I'll keep her occupied while you go." She nodded and slipped on her jacket. She kissed my forehead. "I'll see you later." She muttered.

Cat

We watched as Bes siddled up to Cat. "What the hell is she doing?" Fang hissed. I shrugged. I leaned back between Gabby's legs and let her stroke my hair away from my face. All of a sudden, I felt a searing pain as my hair was pulled back and I felt as though my scalp was going to be pulled off.

"Hey Mel," Jazz growled next to my ear. I mumbled something. "What?" She purred. "Where've ya'll been? Haven't seen you around." Fang got up. "Sit your ass down." Jazz said evenly. She let go of my hair and sat on the bench next to me. "Now then, who's been a naughty girl? I've heard some funny things about you three."

"I don't know what your talking about." I replied.

"Sure you do. And you can't say that I didn't warn you, Mel, I did" Fang looked around for a way out. "you'll get what's coming to you." She grinned wolfishly. She patted my head, as though I was a dog and walked over to Cat and Bes, who followed her out of the room. Gabby got up.

"Where are you going?" Fang cried.

"With them. Mel, I'm sorry, but what you're doing is wrong."

And so, Fang and I were left alone.

Mel

I woke up suddenly. It was nine o'clock, still time enough to get to school. It's not like being late mattered. There were only two reasons why I went now. One, to show that I didn't care about Mel and Fang's mutiny, and two, Cat.

Gabby was back. Bes said she'd come back. I hummed while I pulled on some pants. I reached for my red shirt and halted. My fingers absently touched a blue top. Why the hell not?

I threw it on and headed out.

"Nice of you to come, Ms Lockhardt." The over tanned teacher said as I entered his room. I grinned. He looked kinda orange when you thought about it.

The bell rang soon after and I made my way outside for a cigarette before lunch. "Jazz?" I heard a voice ask.

I turned "Cat." I replied. She looked gorgeous, standing there in a red top and denim cutoffs. Something didn't look right about her though. She rushed over to hug me. I smiled politely and pushed her away. She twirled a lock of my hair in her fingers.

"Don't you want to kiss me today?" She asked. I groaned.

"You know what happened with Mel, Cat." I replied.

"I know."

"Then why do you want to be near to me?" I shut my eyes for a second. Her eyes blazed into me, searing at my flesh. I could almost read her thoughts. I forced my eyes open again. "I'll hurt you" I whispered. "I hurt everyone eventually. You can't stop me."

"Shh, yes I can. Bes told me."

"Told you what?"

"How much you like me." She smiled gently. I couldn't help smiling back. "You don't want to kiss me?" I nodded. "Very much."

"Very much." She leaned forward and offered her lips up.

"Hey Jazz!" Bes yelled. I groaned audibly.

Cat pulled away from me and took a step back.

"I love you" she whispered. I raised one eyebrow.

"Jazz," Bes panted, "Mel's left, and Fang wants to know if you'll forgive her." I grinned and pulled Cat back into my arms, circling her waist. I kissed her quickly, loving how she fit against me.

"Bes," I smiled eventually. "In the mood I'm in, I could forgive Mel herself." Green eyes looked up to meet mine, and I knew that I'd done the right thing.

Jazz

The End.
