Part Seven

"It's really coming down out there." Sharki said as she walked up behind Delaney who was standing in front of a window.

Delaney glanced up and she found the taller woman's eyes in the reflection smiling down at her. "Feel better?"

"Much better and the clothes aren't so bad." Sharki stepped back and held out her hands so Delaney could see. "I only look like I'll be looking for the small gators." She glanced down pointed at the way the pant legs only went down to just below her calves.

Delaney turned around and started to laugh. "You look so cute."

"Cute?" Sharki put her hands on her hips and raised an eyebrow.

Delaney nodded her head and headed over to the couch where the hot chocolate and some popcorn sat on the coffee table. "Come on and sit down. Maybe we can find a good movie to watch." She patted the couch next to her.

Sharki walked over and sat next to the other woman. She couldn't help but smile at how cozy it felt sitting here with this woman. She shyly looked from Delaney to the TV then down to the cups of steaming hot chocolate. "Thanks for the clothes."

"Your welcome," Delaney grabbed the remote. "What do you want to watch?"

"Whatever you find is good." Sharki reached for her drink and sighed contently when the warm liquid slid down her throat.

The TV show on showed some man dressed in a bright colored sweater. He bounced around like a Girl Scout who just sold all her cookies to one house. Cups sat on the coffee table empty with popcorn kernels scattered all over the place.

Two bodies entwined together sleeping peacefully on the couch while outside the snow continued to fall.

One hungry cat meowed as he stretched then jumped off the chair. He eyed the two women who were sound asleep. They looked uncomfortable on such a small piece of furniture with their legs and arms all over the place. So Wheel's decided that it was time to get them up and get himself feed. He looked from one end to the other deciding what spot to jump up on was the best.

The sound of a soft snore made him decided that jumping up on the cushion of dark and golden hair would be his best bet of waking the sleeping humans.

With one last meow he jumped up and landed on Delaney's head then walked over and sat on the side of Sharki's face.

"Meow," Wheels pawed at the back of Delaney's head.

"Not now Wheels," Delaney mumbled still sleeping.

Wheels continued to paw and meow.

Sharki sneezed when a piece of fur tickled her nose. She opened her eyes and sat up tossing Wheels into her lap. "Now that was something I wish I never experienced."

"What?" Delaney turned over and stared at the other woman with sleepy eyes.

Sharki looked down into the half open eyes and smiled.

Delaney couldn't help but smile back before her big orange cat blocked her view. "Wheels what do you think you are doing?"

"Meow." Wheels rubbed his head against Delaney's chin and started to purr.

"He has an interesting way of waking people up." Sharki scratched the cat's back, which made Wheels purr louder. "I think he's hungry."

"I think you're right." Delaney sat up and rubbed her eyes. "I so need to get him his own cat servant."

"Now that would be an interesting job." Sharki laughed. "Why don't you go feed your monster and I'll get coffee going."

"Okay," Delaney stood up and shuffled her feet towards the kitchen.

Sharki watched her leave and the smile grew on her face. "Damn she is sexy when she wakes up."

Wheels meowed at the statement and jumped down to follow his owner.

Before they decided what to do for the day the looked outside from the front door. The site of everything all covered in the cold white substance made them realize that they would be stuck inside the apartment until the road were cleared and the sidewalks shoveled.

"Well, I guess you are stuck with me for another day." Sharki closed the front door.

Delaney nodded and grinned. "I think I can manage that."

As the two headed back to the living room to sit and see what was on TV Wheels started to chase one of his toys around causing Sharki to trip and bump into Delaney. Which in turn made her fall into Sharki's arms and the momentum made them both go down to the floor.

Delaney rested her head on Sharki's chest. The strong arms that were wrapped around her made her feel safe and protected.

"It would seem that we have a knack for being on the ground on our backs." Sharki rubbed her hands up and down Delaney's back.

"I kind of like it." Delaney muffled voice said.

Sharki's hands stopped and she hugged the smaller woman in her arms. "I do too."

Delaney turned her head so she could look down at Sharki. "You do?"

Sharki nodded, "I would very much like to kiss you."

Delaney didn't waist a second. She moved up a little and lowered her mouth to the waiting lips below her.

The soft lips of both women turned to a smile when Delaney leaned back. She brought her hands up and ran them through the long dark tresses that scattered around the woman under her. "Your lips are so soft."

"Yours are too," Sharki traced a finger over Delaney's eyebrows down her cheek to her lips. "I so want to kiss you again."

"What's stopping you?" Delaney wiggled her eyebrows. "I know I won't."

Continued Part 8

I know these are smaller parts than I usually put out, but I want to take my time and make sure I do these characters justice. Let them grow and develop.

Feed back would be great. So if you read this far why don't you spend another two minutes writing me and telling me what you think so far… . Tinstrttn@aol.com
