Excellent story. Very well written which one expects from a wonderful writer like Mary Morgan. With so few words she can say so much - make the reader feel so much. And you will feel. A very moving story of hope, loss and pain. You can feel Gabrielle's pain, her resolve, her hope, her disappointment - and then ultimately her joy - somewhat bitter sweet. I recommend anything by Mary Morgan. One of the better writers out there. - Karon Reiter - Jan 6th, 2005 Oh, this was a wonderful find!! The ending made my breath catch. Read it...you will be grateful you did. - JC - Jan-29-2008 I've read 3 of Mary's stories so far, and have been enchanted by all of them. Beautiful prose, evocative without being too flowery, very imaginative premises, and amazingly precise and compelling characterizations of Xena and Gabrielle and their relationship. Sometimes the point of view written from is Xena's or Gabrielle's, and sometimes it's that of a third person. Whichever POV it's written from, the chapters and stories are always very insightful. Her vision and depiction of these characters and their relationship make her stories a must read. - Anonymous - Jun-26-2010 Mary Morgan is an astoundingly good writer. Her stories convey the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle with a depth and melancholy that will sear itself into your consciousness. - Anonymous - Dec-10-2010 a moving story.. - xtra dog - Feb-28-2014 |

Another treat from the Pink Rabbit Production team. Original, creative and as always, very clever. Their stories always beg for the TV series to have filmed their tales, as these authors stay true to Xena and Gabrielle's character and any reader can clearly see Lucy and Renee performing within the roles written here, but unlike the actual hired professional writers employed by Rob, these fan fiction writers are a little bit too authentic and a way more original, not to mention more entertaining. - Karon Reiter - Jun-30-2011 OMG, this was just too funny! I don't normally read uber but am very glad I read this one. The author works a magic with her words, that brings forth images from the mind, and feelings from the soul. These characters are so well written and developed. The story line was really intereting as well. I highly recommend it. - Erica - Nov 7th, 2003 Into the Dark and Learning to Climb are fantastic. Fast paced, but deep. Excellent character development and serious treatment of a serious subject. Sexy and sweet, but with a plot that keeps you on your toes. The sequel (learning to climb) is not just a sequel but a darn fine story in its own right. Thank you Sharon! - Amy Beltaine - Oct 26th, 2004 This story is well written, somewhat edgy, has great characters and a wonderful sequel. Rock musican meets Reporter and the sparks fly. Very well written with interesting and good developed main characters. Highly recommended. - pegi - Aug-13-2011 Nice read...love the rock star characters. - JC - Nov-07-2011 This story was very disappointing. Based on other reviews I thought it would be much better. One of the characters comes across as bipolar, there is no consistency of the character. But the biggest slap in the face comes at the expense of the BDSM community, the author suggests that you have to have been molested as a child or a sex addict to be into BDSM. Don't waste your time on this one. Find a story that had been better written and better researched. - Tara - Dec-13-2011 i loved it! yeah jordanna had a dark past and all but i don't think that the author suggests that you have to have been molested as a child or a sex addict to be into BDSM. some people try it just for fun and start to like it but the dark past was the spice in this story. i liked it, can't wait to read Learning To Climb! i think you should read it! - braniac - Mar-29-2012 I liked it so much I'm reading the sequel. - Wheezie - Feb-19-2013 while hard hitting with how descriptive the romance is above board. just goes to show these two are meant to be together no matter what they've gone through and will find one another always. excellent read! - strange1 - Jul-31-2013 Amazing story. Another wonderfully written tale by Ali. Even without the 'happy ending' follow-up, I believe that this story is one of her best. Those who can't see the love that shines throughout the tale and only look at the 'supposed' unhappy ending, are missing the boat (or a few screws). And they say sequels are never as good as the original, Karen and PruferBlue prove that theory wrong with this one, was enthralled from the first page, Great job girls!! - Lissa - Jun-25-2006 Great story. Where's the rest it says finished. Also, part 6 of True Colours is not working. - Jenni - Mar-21-2008 Since this story is not on our site, we can't fix all of the broken links in the story. However, you can find the correct parts by changed the part number in the url. Ex. Part 2 is - http://www.ausxip.com/fanfiction/m/manyroads2.html and is not linked at the bottom to Part 3, but all you need to do is change the '2' to a '3' in the above url... This usually works on most stories with missing links between story parts. Sorry we can't be of more help regarding stories that aren't hosted on our site. After reading True Colors I looked high and low to find if there was a sequel and was overjoyed when I found Many Roads To Travel. This is a wonderful story of love and commitment, joy and pain, and forgiveness and healing. I enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the novel Blood and Honor. It has some very interesting elements and further exploration of them should prove most enlightening. - Linda - Dec 14th, 2004 Great story loved learning about selene and nix and their world past and present. - Anonymous - Jan-27-2008 This series is awesome and it was so nice to see "The Beginnings". - Anonymous - Oct-18-2009 What a great story. Liked it immensely. - sassy123 - Jan-17-2011 I love these two authors and all of their stories! A definite read! - Sparks - Dec-10-2012 My favorite series by Windstar and Zee, hands down. This story starts off the series with an emotional bang. It has everything a reader could want - a very interesting story line, action, love, engaging characters and is extremely well written. Definitely worth a read or several. - Stacia - Dec-27-2012 This first story of the entire 'Blood and Honor' series is not as powerful as the 2nd or the 3rd. But if you persevere, you will be richly rewarded in the end. Read the 3 stories in order. Rezan and especially Blood and Honor are wonderful fantasy tales, richly developed in plot and characterization. It is very long but there is absolutely no filler--no boring politics, no pointless scenes or endless battles. The romances are all well developed and paced. A recommended read even for non-fantasy fans (like me) - Kim - Aug-28-2013 |

Here's a truly intriguing dark tale that might seem to be just another PI tale at first glance. A.C. Henley has masterfully constructed a gritty tale whose center is the dark enigmatic Quin McKee, a PI who does not play by the rules and yet gets the job done. She has friends in high places and in the lowest depths and her heart is something else...fraught with a world of hurt and then some. As the story opens, in crossing paths with those she once called friends after a three years absence, she now meets detective Vivian Walsh, one tough cop that might change her ways and mend some fences. But can the tall blonde break through the barriers and really get through to KcKee? Read on as Book One unravels some of the mysteries... - Anastacia - Nov 20th, 2005 Great story, I hope we have a sequel soon, thanks í - Ailidh (Spain) - Nov 21st, 2005 This story screams "sequels". Very interesting lead character with a wonderful supporting cast. - jac - Dec 4th, 2005 Great story. Its such a classic and well worth the read! - Red Hope - Oct-28-2006 This is really sweet story! - Enverz - Nov-25-2009 Really enjoyed it. Made me giggle throughout the whole story. Silly Joxer. - Anonymous - Jan-09-2011 This is wonderfully enchanting little gem of a story. I loved it. One of the earlier classic Xena fan fiction stories that made you want to read MORE Xena fan fiction like this. Without giving too much away, like the teaser says, Gabrielle comes up with a plan to get Joxer to stop fawning over her by deceiving him into thinking that she and Xena are a "couple". But in order to do that, Xena and her must "act" like they're physically intimate in front of him. Obviously this plan is hatched with Gabrielle's assumption that Xena and her are just friends, tormenting a very frustrated Xena, who, in fact feels way more for Gabrielle than friendship. This was a pleasure to read. It will put a smile on your face - especially when you get to the ending. So read it. You'll love it. - kazy - Dec-06-2012 Cute first time story but I for one am missing the confrontation with Joxer!! Heart WRENCHING story, wonderful descriptions of both love and anguish. Dripping with emotions, something Cheaza is great at. I loved it! - katrina - May 26th, 2003 This was one of the few stories written that, to me, dealt with the aftermath of the rift in a way that few stories were able to - and in which the show was sorely lacking in - leaving a gaping hole wide open and unexplored. This ia a moving piece that is also a hard read, watching Gabrielle slip slowly into madness as the only way in which she can deal with her guilt over Solon's death. It's as difficult a read as Peribear's The Best in Love. There are only 2 other fan fiction stories that I think deal with the after affects of the rift effectively. Guilt Love and Forgiveness by BL Miller and The Long Way Home by Jamie Boughen. All other stories fall short of these 3. This is a powerful piece of writing and it will stay with you a very long time. - Karon Reiter - Jan 10th, 2005 I would like to thank Karon for listing these other stories .This one and the ones she listed are a must read!!! - Anonymous - Feb 20th, 2005 Karon Reiter is right all three of those stories are awesome! Take a look at them! :) - Ami - Jun-02-2008 Harrowing and heart wrenching. There are a few fan fics that deal with the rift instead of TBS and this is one of the best ones. Thought the ending was a little rushed, but thats because I would like to have read more. - Elaine - Jun-12-2008 This story still has me saying WOW! It truly deals with the anguish of everything Gabrielle went through, lost of her blood innocence, betrayal of a friendship, murder of a child, killing of one's own child and betrayal of one's own moral compass. The logical conclusion...the lost of self. Well done! It rates about a 10+ on the angnst meter. - mapsnika - Jul-05-2008 Incredibly well written tale and unique telling of 'the rift'. Angst, angst and more angst. What can I say - WOW! I agree completely with Karon Reiter's review. This story is definitely 'The Best of the Best'. - Tryxter111 - Nov-20-2008 UPDATE: "Another Way" by Brigid Doyle is highly recommended as another outstanding depiction of the aftermath of the Rift that I would put in the "rare" category. She does a superlative job of drawing out the torment and suffering that these two women experience over their separation. A keeper for sure, just like Cheaza's story. - Karon Reiter - Aug-16-2011 |

Who hasn't read this story 1, 2, 10 times???? Makes one long for the Amazon Ice Company to be back in service!!! - Kay - Sep 12th, 2002 WOW!! One of the best. This was a classic. Why only 3 stars? This should have gotten 5 stars. This was hot, hot, hot...and funny...and, oh, such a treat. Very enjoyable story. So refreshing. Need more of these stories. Definitely 5 STARS!!!! - Karon Reiter - Mar 12th, 2005 This is one of my all time favorite erotic stories of the Xenaverse and because of its humor, it is even more dear to me. I also found it very informative in the area of "performance technique" I must say. It's proven very helpful to me over the years. It's hard to make an erotic story more than an erotic story and Oversoul succeeded in going beyond the call of duty. She didn't just craft your everyday 'girl on girl' action narrative. She also had a fertile imagination when it came to her approach by incorporating Joxer, which earns her 20 stars as opposed to the highest rating of 10 - in my estimation. For those of you thinking that this story is a threesome, rest assured it is not. All the hanky-panky is between Xena and Gabrielle and ONLY Xena and Gabrielle. If you want to know how Joxer figures into this story, you must read it to find out. It's quite rewarding. You will enjoy it. - kazy - Dec-06-2012 I have to say, I'm VERY surprised this story hasn't been commented on or rated more. I find this one to be a classic. Wow. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to discover this writer. I started out with her BTVS fiction and came here from there. You gotta check this out. - The Queen - Jan 28th, 2004 More great story telling form this author. I hope to one day see a sequel. - Girl Dawn - Jun-26-2009 An interesting back story with hints to Callisto's past. - Girl Dawn - Jun-26-2009 ** Minor spoiler alert! A very good story indeed. Also a great commentary about politics (especially these days). But, there is virtually no affection between our two heroes, or anyone else in the story for that matter. There is a hint of a future relationship between 2 other characters, but that's it. So, I don't understand the spice rating of 5+. This could have easily been in the "general" fiction genre. And someone hurts Gabrielle at one point- for her own good - but I doubt Xena would be as cool with it as she was in the story. In fact, if that was okay, Xena herself would have done this in almost every episode. - Anonymous - Sep-11-2017 |

This is a dark and gut-wrenching piece as Xena struggles to repair the emotional and mental loss of Gabrielle's damaged mind. I found parts of this story so cruel and harrowing in the depiction of Gabrielle's brutal treatment into submission and so agonizing as Xena tries to put back the broken pieces of a ruined Gabrielle whose mind and body is so shattered by the repetitive brutality that was inflicted on her, that she is catatonic. Brace yourself for an emotionally powerful punch. If you like angst ridden stories like I do, this is it. This goes into my 'best of' category for classic Xena storytelling. - Karon Reiter - Jun-07-2011 .........healing...........thank you. - Anonymous - Dec-19-2012 |

I really enjoyed it. - sassy123 - Dec-18-2010 llove it - Xe_nia - Mar-06-2011 A definite must read. I can't believe this series is not in the Top 100 of every year. It sure ranks in my Top 10, and I've read a lot. Perhaps the author's own description about this novel being a "character driven piece with no plot" deters many potential readers, as it almost did me. It is a GREAT character study, uber-realistic conflicts and situations, a riveting plot, and wonderful characters...all the elements needed for an excellent page-turner. I love it when the author knows whereof she speaks. Like Cheyenne's insider (first-hand?) knowledge of military training in Permission to Recover, KM is obviously privy to the inner workings of a law firm. Still, the age old dilemma of being intimately involved with your immediate staff and all the resulting angst from dealing with its ramifications makes for a great read in any setting - OMG - May-09-2011 very enjoyable story. thanks for the recommendation. on to the sequel... KM thank you for sharing your imagination and talent with us. - colorado fan - Jul-03-2011 This is such a wonderful series, what happened with the ratings ? - Anonymous - Jul-18-2011 The most romantic fiction i've read so far. A very talented author. Feelings, emotions, humour, dialogues, intimate moments, they all have been depicted with huge elegance and great skill. - parsec - Jul-10-2012 Loved this story jess little talks in her head was so funny xx - SD - Apr-25-2015 This was such a wonderful story! An intense story which started when Xena and Gabrielle arrived in a mysterious town with a forest that held dark secrets. The emotional turmoil faced by the duo was very well done; Gabrielle's descent into madness, Xena's faith in the bard when she was accused of murder... the supporting characters were properly developed too. A brilliant piece of work. - aurelius - Jan 20th, 2005 Great story. The supporting characters are wonderful, and it tackles the effects of the warrior life on Gabrielle head on, and the ending is very satisfying. For fans of classic X and G read it. - Elaine - May-31-2008 There are no words to tell you how good this story really is, the only true way for you to find out is to read it, which is hope you do. But I'll you one thing I've read ALOT of Xena stoies, most of them were okay, a lot of them were great, a few were brilliant, but this story touch my heart! It was just that powerful. - Ami - Jun-01-2008 Excellent story! Read it! - Anonymous - Jun-03-2008 very good story an emotional rollercoaster and well worth the time to read - erma - May-31-2011 |

This story has it all: action, comedy, drama, a little heartache, a lot of romance, and a mystery that has me pointing fingers at a half-dozen characters. This is another great story from the talented and popular author, Anita Louise. Do not miss this one! - Kimin - Dec 10th, 2002 I am so loving this story.I am there, I feel as if I am part of the team. A marvelous story, written so well, I don't want to leave. Just when I think I have figured out whats going on, Anita throws in a curveand brings it in a whole new direction........Looking forwardto the next chapters........ - Jean - Dec 12th, 2002 I'm up to date on my reading of "Fire Within" and can't wait for more! These characters have captivated me.The town, the people, the strange going ons and now the monster that is scouring the countryside. It is a breath of fresh air to read a story that actually lets the readers feel 'every step.' A story that takes the reader on many adventures. I have laughed at times. Felt my heart beat faster when things got tense and scary. I actually feel as if I am a part of this adventure. The love the women share is fantastic. CanÆt wait to read more of this story. - Jill - Oct 8th, 2003 Enjoyed the story, and I am the type of person where if you donÆt catch my interest in the first few paragraphs, then I am going to read something that will. Well written, I look forward to new adventures by the characters and a sequel. R. - Anonymous - Jan 30th, 2004 This story reads like a great mystery novel..with the characters intertwining within and around one another... loved it....looking forwards to a sequel. - Christi - Jan 30th, 2004 Oh, yeah, the Fire Within has so many tendrils of flames feeding marvelous characters, romance, plots, mysterious goings on and a hairy horror not born from a bad hair salon. You will cringe at times, put new wrinkles in your forehead trying to figure out the who the numerous bad guys are and get a free suntan following the characters to valleys & desert locations. The gals are gorgeous, lovable, funny and fend quite well dealing with the bad guys. Not much this story failed to weave well into it pages. Don't miss this one and encourage the bard to write a sequel. Just too characters you want to see again and follow to another adventure. How about it, Anita Louise?O Ger - Anonymous - Jan 30th, 2004 A bevy of butt-kicking, intelligent, and gorgeous women head up the cast of this exceptional mystery. Anita Louise offers another well-written adventure that will transport the reader to exotic locales, place you in the middle of danger, and face-to-face with an element of the supernatural. And just in time for Valentine's Day, Anita puts the reader in the mood for romance as she weaves tales of enduring love within this novel. Will you be able to solve the mystery before the heroines? It will be quite the challenge, even for super sleuths. - Rachel - Jan 31st, 2004 A fantastic story filled with romance, action, and mystery! One of my favorites. Don't forget to vote for Fire Within for the top 100. It definitely deserves a high spot, and so do Anita Louise's other stories. Check them out! She's such a talented writer. - Jane Bond - Feb 1st, 2004 WOW!! Great story. It holds your attention to the very end. - kb - Aug 26th, 2005 Ive just finished reading "Fire Within." This adventure has been amazing. It was written so well, I felt everything. Every step Skylar and Bobie took, so did I. I felt like I was in Springfield, what an amazing town, and the people, wow, so real. Anita wove, adventure, romance, compassion, the supernatural, so many fantastic people each brought out wonderfully. There is so much this story entails, so many moments where one may tremble, sit on the edge of their chair, biting their fingernails, feeling every emotion, and loving it. The second Skylar Richmond stepped off the plane, after it landed at the airport in Springfield, one could sense a spark had begun. I have looked forward to another of Anita Louises great stories. I hear she is working on one and cant wait to read it. - Jen - Jan-25-2007 Hi, As a business owner, you understand how important it is to have a robust online presence. Great series - Anonymous - Aug-18-2009 One of my all time favorites series. you will not be disappointed. - Brighteyez08 - Oct-08-2009 I love the seasons series by Anne Azel. So far everything I've had the pleasure of reading by her has been more than well worth taking the time to do.I am sure that if you take the time to read it you will be glad you did. - uber goober - May-03-2010 i can't stop reading. next is the last piece, i almost dont wana read it cos i dont want this to end but i just can't stop now. - crv - May-09-2010 Just finished the whole series and i thoroughly enjoyed it! thank u Anne. - crv - May-10-2010 ****SPOILER ALERT**** i really dislike the fact that janet fell in love with sb else eventhough she admitted robbie was her soulmate.. too much rl for me.. i like my romantic stories to be clear cut.. wooful times may befall them but falling in love with sb else? just, no! that is more of a betrayal than just having sex with sb else.. falling in love is about emotions.. emotions you should only have for your partner.. so i don't like janet in this story.. i could put the blame on Alberta, but she wasn't in a relationship.. janet was.. robbie could have had sex in prison in order to facilitate her survival.. she didn't.. she chose the hard road.. janet had no such quarrels.. she just watched a beautiful woman dance with knives and kissed her? yeah, just no.. i will read the last part of this series, but with a lot of trepidation.. i'm not all that confident that i will get my (romantic) happy ending.. - xtra dog - May-16-2015 |

Before I actually let you all know how wonderfully written this Mel and Janice story is, I would like to point out that this bard is actually KG MacGregor not KC MacGregor. This is the same KG MacGregor that gave us the fantastic Alternative Uber stories Shaken the sequal Stirred and part 3 Strained. These are some of the best written fan fiction stories on the internet bar none. I would recommend this bard for whatever story she wishes to grace our Universe with, but I hope the little name typo can get fixed so that people will know that Ms. MacGregor has other great stories for everyone to sink their teeth into. I would read the phone book if KG MacGregor was the author of it. I give this Bard and all of her incredibly well written stories a 10 star rating! - Maria - Dec 2nd, 2002 Really loved this new Mel and Janice story - ALOT! KG nailed the characterizations, and there was a terrific slant to this story which I don't recall being brought up in other M/J FF. And who can fault a story with Amazons in it? KG showing her stuff quite well outside of the Uber world, and I welcome the momentary change. Great job! - Anonymous - Dec 3rd, 2002 Really loved this new Mel and Janice story - ALOT! I give this Bard and all of her incredibly well written stories a 10 star rating! - Maria - Dec 3rd, 2002 Well, after reading this J&M fanfiction, I certainly had to throw my two cents of comments into the pile. I ain't read a J&M fanfiction in a few nor really seen any. MacGregor weaves an awesome plot and manages to throw some Amazons into it all. She also brought up a huge social standard issue during the 1940's that you don't see in many J&M fanfictions. Needless to say, this J&M story hit my favorite list! Excellent fanfiction. - Red Hope - Jul 3rd, 2003 Loved this story! Wow... well written, ties right into the episode and just picks up where it left off... would love to see KG do more with this! - AmazonBard07 - Mar-09-2007 I don't normally read Janice and Mel stories, but when I ran out of KG stories to read I decided to give this one a shot. I'm glad I did - Read it - Anonymous - Apr-10-2007 After reading this there was only one world in my head... WOW! The character are full well wriiten and the plotline just amazing! This is a story all come back and read again and again! - Ami - Apr-30-2008 not a fan of mel and janice stories, i have read this one with interest.. the characters are true to form, so that's a definite plus for mel and janice lovers.. also liked the linking of the amazons to the amazon.. :) - xtra dog - Jun-19-2011 Cute. I really enjoyed this story. It was soul-satisfying, if you'll pardon the pun. It was a story of love, loyalty and dedication. I've often wondered if I had a guardian angel, and this tale made me feel a little more hopeful. I'd like to thank the author for sharing this wonderful story with us.
