This was a very pleasing story. I loved it. Very entertaining and very humorously written. It would have made a very satisfying episode. I love stories like this in which Xena loses her memory so we can see underneath the layers of her dark character, revealing parts of her she would not show, qualities that she hides - some that are intriguing, some are even darker than usual. This story depicts that type of a tale very well and very decidedly unlike the TV series where they made her complacent and indistinct, void of any force, i.e., Chakram, Return of the Valkyrie. I really liked this, but I can't help feeling it was also quite unsettling by what it explored. In order to spare my poor sub-loving nerves I really had to suspend my disbelief concerning the characters and their actions. However, there's a cracking story underneath the trauma and it's intriguing to see a whole new darker avenue to what makes the core of X/G's relationship. This fic is bitter-sweet certainly and liberally peppered with little stings in it's tale. Very well written and well worth reading! - Anonymous - May-09-2007
