| It has been two years since FIN, and if people are still upset by the ending, and looking for a catharsis for the finale. I would highly recommend the short story, by Ambyrhawke Shadowsinger which details the events leading up to FIN, but gives an alternative ending, one that brought a smile to my face. Great short story! | |
| I have always hated how the show ended so for me this story is manna from Heaven. Thank you Ambry. - Anonymous - Dec-18-2010 This idea is certainly a far better solution and re arrangement of the TV's story line than the vision Rob had for Xena and it really explores Gabrielle's devastating pain that should've but didn't have a major impact on Xena's decision to "die". Also this story would definitely have appealed to Rob's gore requirements. - kazy - Oct-17-2011 |

| 'Chosen Legacy' by Ambyrhawke Shadowsinger is an early X:WP story that gives the readers a glimpse into the lives of our two favorite heroes. The innocence of the early episodes is clearly visible within HawkeÆs story, and I found myself smiling at the easy banter between bard and warrior. This is a definite must read for anyone who longs to see the friendship and love between Xena and Gabrielle. | |
| This is the most charming tale I've read yet! I felt as if I was watching an episode of our favorite show. This is a must read for anyone who wants to see a glimpse into the lives of our two favorite women. - Arati - Jun 6th, 2003 |

| I feel rely good after reading this story. If you like me had trouble with the Ides of Marsh, This story will set it straight for you.I hope the author will give us the Continuation in more episodes to come. And THANK YOU for giving Xena Solon back...She did deserved that. - SammyLee - Apr 17th, 2003 I liked this alternate solution to Ides. I thought it was a pretty good way to wrap that story up. - uber goober - Mar-09-2010 |
Letting Go by
| Xena | Alternative | Romance (alt) | Short Story - 12 pages | Finished | Cast: Xena, Gabrielle | |
| The short story, Letting Go, by Ambyrhawke Shadowsinger is a visit down memory lane. Written like a classic Xena episode, Letting Go is the tale of love between Xena and Gabrielle and is reminiscent of the saying, ?If you love something, let it go??. Despite the obvious story line at the beginning of the tale, all is not what it appears to be! The plot is filled with twists and turns and in the end, when the true story of love and deception is reveal, we are left with a smile. This is defiantly a story that will leave the readers feeling good! | |
| Awesome twist! I enjoyed this story very much!!! - Calais - Aug-24-2009 I like the way the author takes a story and then rewrites it with a little different take and twist, very creative, and I must admit more the way that I would have liked the tale to go. - uber goober - Mar-10-2010 |

| Aelfwynn and Ceinwen, a bard and princess, grew up together vowing to always hold each other first in their hearts. When one shatters that vow, they both suffer dire consequences. Can time and love melt a frozen heart? | |
| This is a beautifully written faery tale about love, loss, and redemption. Ambyrhawke wonderfully captures to tone and tenor of a story sung by a medieval bard. - wasabigirl - Nov-10-2008 good read ..... - renslucy - Aug-07-2010 I'm getting a 'Dead Link' Message on this one. - Kugai - Aug-29-2011 Still showing a dead link - Sabrina - Oct-28-2011 Hey folks. This and any of the other stories that link over to ambyrhawke.com...my personal website has and will be defunct for the forseeable future. If you would like to read the ones linking there, you should be able to find other places hosting them with a quick google search. I'll see about finding the files and getting them hosted here. Thanks! - Ambyrhawke - May-20-2013 It's a really sweet and beautifully written story. There was never a dull moment in the story and had lyrical undertone to it. Finally a lesbian fairy tale I can tell my niece and nephew. :) oh and the story is available on www.ausxip.com just google it with the bard's name. - April.smithint - Apr-25-2015 |
