| This series is amazing. I have finally read all of Anne's work. Her writing is so unusual, with great depth. I love how she gives you a complete sense of her characters and the environments in which they live. The way she connects her characters in this series, relating them to the warrior and the bard is so complex and simply brilliant. Anne is definitely one of my favorite writers. (forensics&police work)When she describes what 'a plane is down' means to her, you 'feel all that she does'. This story is so well written you feel like you know everyone and want to comfort them all. The reactions from the kids and supporting characters is right on. It is a fast paced ride down the rode of emotional breakdown and the struggle/pain that it wraps around each person, and the fight to return.
