This series is amazing. I have finally read all of Anne's work. Her writing is so unusual, with great depth. I love how she gives you a complete sense of her characters and the environments in which they live. The way she connects her characters in this series, relating them to the warrior and the bard is so complex and simply brilliant. Anne is definitely one of my favorite writers. I highly recommend anything she writes. - S. Lee - May 17th, 2003

I'd never read any of Miss Azel's work until recently, and that was a glaring oversight - she is very talented. This is the first story of hers that I read and is still my favorite. Read it, you won't regret it. - Arassar - Aug-07-2007

I really like the Journey Series by Azel. Not only for the catching plot, interesting characters and the good writing style, which is something this author always manages to achieve, but also for the very insightful information these particular series offer about the land, culture, politics and people of the countries the stories are named after. I have read all three stories numerous times, and indeed every time I felt taken on a wonderful journey!

Two weeks before Dawn and Aliki's wedding a plane goes down, and the results have Aliki spiraling into darkness, as a note delivered to her office alludes to more than meets that eye and brings suspicions of an old foe coming to the fore.
WOW! This is a great piece of just what Aliki goes through emotionally with the jobs that she has taken. (forensics&police work)When she describes what 'a plane is down' means to her, you 'feel all that she does'. This story is so well written you feel like you know everyone and want to comfort them all. The reactions from the kids and supporting characters is right on. It is a fast paced ride down the rode of emotional breakdown and the struggle/pain that it wraps around each person, and the fight to return. After reading this, my respect for all involved in fire and law enforcement has increased ten fold! A MUST READ!! - Chris L. - Nov 19th, 2002

Original / Uber | Modern | Alternative (Mature) | Romance (alt) | Novella - 59 pages | Finished | Mar-03
Cast: Ryan, Robbie, Reb, Janet, Aliki, Ian, Dawn, Williams, Obbie, David, Elizabeth
Anne Azel nicely brings forward the Seasons & Murder Series in this tale. Ten years have now passed since we last saw the Williams, Pateas and Potts clan. As they get together to celebrate Thanksgiving, Reb is 16 and about to start dating and Ryan is back...hoping to stop Mac from making the biggest mistake of her life!
WOW! this has to be one of her best works yet. It is set 10 years later. The kids are grown. Ryan is 26, Reb is 16 and Mac is 23. Who's dating and who's getting married? who is trying to get their one true love to notice them again. Don't miss this funny, poignant story. All of Anne's characters are back in this great 'family' story with a very 'un'Brady cast. - Chris - Mar 4th, 2003

Once again, Anne has come through with another quality story. The plot is fun and the characters are engaging (and it's so nice to see the return of our favorites!). While reading it, I felt as though I was visiting with old friends. The whole "Seasons Series" is a treat and this was a great way to end it! - indigal - Mar 7th, 2003

The last of the seasons and murder stories. All the favorite character meet once again. The only thing I didn't like is that Ryan comes across as an arrogant self-centered woman. Mac shouldn't have taken her. - Anonymous - Oct-28-2007

That was a wonderful wrap-up story to the seasons and murder series. Thank you. Loved seeing what happened to Mac and Ryan. Read this wonderful author. She is fantastic. - Anonymous - May-16-2010

Excellent story in the series. Every character is brought to life by Anne Azel. Touching, romantic and laugh out loud funny in parts of it. I like these crazy people and their lives. A wonderful read. Highly recommended. - Lyn B - Jul-24-2011

This is a wonderful addition to the Seasons Series. This is my favourite series from all of Anne Azel's stories. Well worth your time and Azel's depiction of that area of Northern Ontario is spot on - she has the feel of it. Makes me wonder what the Williams clan has been up to lately. - Georgia - Nov-20-2012

This is great follow up to a great story just pitty it wasn't listed with the other 4 of this series just found it weeks after reading the first 4 instalments . Loved this series could read about them forever X. - SD - Aug-27-2015

This is a futuristic story with a difference. Don't miss this one, you'll never feel the same about your planet again!
This story has it all. Humour, angst, sci-fi, mystery, and a dose of reality! Very few authors can mix all this and come up with a non stop page turner till the end... Anne has done a fanatastic job. A MUST READ! - Reader - Sep 24th, 2002

This was an excellent story. I couldn't stop. Awesome! - Jen - Nov 15th, 2002

I was so surprised by "Iron Rose Bleeding". There is a healthy dose of the very real problems our planet faces, handed in a very intellegent and wise manner, there is theory, there is Ralienism, there is love and danger...and it all comes together in a most satisfying way that will keep you hooked. I couldn't put this one down! - Taleweaver - Mar 2nd, 2003

Bloody brilliant... can't say anything more... overwhelmed and this is just bloody brilliant - Jade Devlin - Apr 4th, 2003

With this story, Anne separates herself from the rest of the bards. She reaches far and above the rest. I have never read a story like this before. It is unique and brilliantly woven. Her sense of detail to an imaginary world is fascinating. Her creativity blows my mind and her ability to effectively express what her vastly creative mind has created is awe-inspiring. Run, do not walk to read this story. - S. Lee - May 17th, 2003

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Ms Azel, you've ruined me for anything else.the logics is so clear i don't know what to believe in anymore, and the language... Tay is incredible, her reasoning is PRICELESS!! my brain and my heart thank you. give my love to your muse - brilliant work. - Katrina - Nov 8th, 2003

I've read this story five or more times now. Each time I read it, I find something new. It is beautifully written and thought provoking. Ms. Azel, thank you for sharing your gift. - Annette - Jul 6th, 2004

I kept calling to my partner, reading her lines from this story. I kept reciting several wise sentences, and wanted to run and post them on the fridge so I could be reminded what "WHAT?" truly means, or what "putting a face on really represented. This story touches several issues about earth and it's people, and about other's planet's potential beings. Loved it, loved the characters. Thank you, author. - Anonymous - May-26-2006

I had seen this story recommended before and since I had recently several of Ms. Azel's stories, I thought I should give it a try. This is an INCREDIBLE story that should be read by everyone. Anne Azel is a terrific writer who creates remarkable stories that will not let the reader go. - Anonymous - Jun-02-2006

What a fine story. I bought the characters right away and their distinctive personalities were refreshing. This is one of those stories that could be really depressing because of the issues it presents. Instead it was interesting and hopeful. One problem: I want more of this story. - Krystin - Sep-29-2006

Incredible. This story left me absolutely speechless with it's depth and density. This isn't the best piece of fan fiction I've read in a while - this is the best piece of fiction I've read in a while.

Please write a sequel or at least let us visit this world again.

WOW. - -Aerows- - May-04-2007

One of the best!! Once you read it , you will never be the same. Hope theres a sequel! - Krysta - Mar-15-2008

One of the most original stories I've come across in X/G/Uber fiction. Once I started it, I couldn't put it down as I wanted to know what the heck was going on - and when I finished it, I couldn't get the grin off my face. Definitely recommend this one - an extremely impressive story that goes beyond the boundaries of uber. - MEC - Oct-20-2008

I think what's really great about this story is it's uniqueness, and what's unique is always a welcome fresh breath of air. No, but seriously, I think I got a bit smarter just reading it. Now I'm actually quite intrigued by the author - mary - Dec-05-2009

Good read once it got going. Would like to have seen it go on. - JettBlk - Jan-22-2010

ANNALEIs STAMP OF APPROVAL - I am shocked that this story has not yet made a top 25.
I first read this years ago, and although I favour stories in the modern era category, I was utterly charmed by this futuristic tale. - Anna Lei - Sep-23-2011

**Possible Spoiler** Great storyline showing a lot of imagination. I would like to have learned more about the alien race and their world. The ending felt a little rushed. All in all a great read!! - JC - Nov-08-2011

I love a good read, but I love to learn even more. This story gave me the best of both. It was very exciting. - Nemo et Nihil - Mar-14-2013

I just finished this last night and as always, Anne Azel does not disappoint. What a strange and wonderful twist. I have always been a lover of good sci-fi and women's fiction and it touches my heart when the two genres meet. This one even throws a little suspense and mystery in the mix. - Kelly Aten - Jul-27-2016

****SPOILER ALERT****
i really dislike the fact that janet fell in love with sb else eventhough she admitted robbie was her soulmate.. too much rl for me.. i like my romantic stories to be clear cut.. wooful times may befall them but falling in love with sb else? just, no! that is more of a betrayal than just having sex with sb else.. falling in love is about emotions.. emotions you should only have for your partner.. so i don't like janet in this story.. i could put the blame on Alberta, but she wasn't in a relationship.. janet was.. robbie could have had sex in prison in order to facilitate her survival.. she didn't.. she chose the hard road.. janet had no such quarrels.. she just watched a beautiful woman dance with knives and kissed her? yeah, just no..
i will read the last part of this series, but with a lot of trepidation.. i'm not all that confident that i will get my (romantic) happy ending.. - xtra dog - May-16-2015
