** Minor spoiler alert! A very good story indeed. Also a great commentary about politics (especially these days). But, there is virtually no affection between our two heroes, or anyone else in the story for that matter. There is a hint of a future relationship between 2 other characters, but that's it. So, I don't understand the spice rating of 5+. This could have easily been in the "general" fiction genre. And someone hurts Gabrielle at one point- for her own good - but I doubt Xena would be as cool with it as she was in the story. In fact, if that was okay, Xena herself would have done this in almost every episode. - Anonymous - Sep-11-2017
