She has a following that worships her every word. Or at least she use to. This story was one of her first submissions. It's exciting, touching, heartbreaking, sensual and romantic. Bat has a talent for creating original characters in her stories that are equal to the meat and bones of Xena and Gabrielle and she doesn't disappoint in this one. She has created someone who's damaged soul sets the pace and drives the story toward its conclusion. To add to the mix, there are other absorbing characters that makes for a very ingenious plot with lots of maneuvering and intrigue. This is a riveting, cleverly crafted story, something Bat is noted for. Read it. The Dean's annual constume party brings out some interesting historical characters. For Mel and Janice though, the party brings out more than the garb of their ancestors.
It amazes me how many of the all time classics never get recommendations. If you love Mel & Janice stories that are HOT, HOT. trust me this one will leave you with a big ole grin on your face.
