Samantha Latham is in love with her best friend. She has a brilliant mind, a ton of ambition, and everything going for her as she embarks on an M.D./Ph.D. program at Stanford. But when a hospital in Vermont calls with devastating news about her mother, her life turns upside down, and everything she thought she wanted suddenly seems so far away. Still, life in small town Vermont might just have its charms.
Really, really, really good. Well plotted, well written, believable characters. I think we all had that one love that turned out to be more wishful thinking than real. I highly recommend this story. - Libris Cat - Nov-07-2012

Great story, enjoyed it very much. - Anonymous - Sep-27-2013

This is one of those stories that makes you think, scratch your head and think some more. Not because it isn't well written or engaging (it is both!), but because you can't decide to either be mad for or at Sam, not to mention her best friend. Would LOVE a sequel to this one so we can catch up with all 4 ladies in this story. Highly recommended. - Stacia - Sep-27-2013
