Different, very different! Aside from the text version being one extremely huge file, I finally completed it...and I have never felt so strange after reading a story. I wanted to scrub some rather unsettling images from my mind but keep the ones I liked. My dog said the feeling will pass. I believe him, he's never been wrong yet. ;) - Kay - Dec 19th, 2002    Certainly one of the most unusual pieces I've read in a while. Chelle's story, "Alternative To Uber", works on several levels. It's an entertaining fantasy, an experiment in netfiction presentation, and a satirical commentary on the alt/uber genre. Enjoy it as you will. It's Mary Sue dragged down the rabbit-hole to find an increasingly bizarre world that somehow feels more and more comfortable. I'm especially fond of uber and Conqueror stories. I can honestly say this is one of the most original, irreverent, introspective, hilarious, and plain old entertaining stories I've read on this site. There's no easy moralizing or lazy storytelling to be found.
