Tony Viglioni, top FBI agent has had enough. Tired of not having any roots, she requests a desk joband ends up in Cleveland, where there is a need for an agent of her caliber. Thinking she's gonna be sorry for her request already on day one, Tony gets assigned to a serial killer case, where her first priority is to talk to the Assistant Coroner in charge of the case, Dr. Megan Donnovan. There is something electrifying when the two meet, and when Tony gets injured...the bonds solidify and the stage is set for the agent and doctor to more than collaborate and solve the mystery of the killings and each other.
I don't usually read uber, but something intrigued me and I'm so glad I did! Very believable, and with the 'Xena/Gabrielle' characters drawn in a way that made them fresh, while still relying on the old behaviors we've all come to know and love. Xena the Conqueror gets some unexpected help from Gabrielle the healer and some others the later has influenced.

Gabrielle is a healer and Xena inadvertently crosses her path while Gabrielle is in the field picking herbs from an illicit garden. It's the only Conqueror story that I've shared with family/friends. There is the certain violence but it lacks the sexual violence that the other stories commonly portray. Here's a not-so-usual tale of cats, and what goes on in the shadows...
this is a very heartwarming story. if you love animals be sure to read it. the main characters are two kittens: a black one and an orange one. needless to say who they remind me of. the dynamics between both kittens is similar to xena and gabby's. there is another cat in the story: a beautiful tortoise; her presence is pivotal. when i read this story i was very moved because it made me remember how much i miss 3 similar companions and how they can enrich our lives. this is a sweet read that you shouldn't miss!! kudos to the author!! - vicam - Jul-06-2009    Awww.. this is just so sweet.
