Could have been an episode as the author had the characters down pat where you could see them in your head behaving and talking just in the exact way E.P. wrote them. Gabrielle, flush with dinars from storytelling, goes shopping with Xena for a new bedroll.
At first glance this story does exactly what it says on the tin, it's basically about Gabby buying a bedsack. But once you start reading it, you'll find it's also chock full of some great light hearted banter between a bored Xena and her bargain hunting bard. Tempting bard bottoms and the evils of chicken feathers contribute to making this story short but very sweet. Definitely worth a gander. - Uzu - Apr-24-2007
