Melinda Pappas couldn't help but to have strong feelings for Dr. Covington. Although she had met Janice Covington only once over 20 years, she had never forgotten her. Their fathers were very good friends. Both in the field of archaeology, the men corresponded as often as possible despite Dr. Pappas' responsibilities to the University of South Carolina. Dr. Harry Covington, on the other hand, would always be in the field. Twenty years later, Melinda has the opportunity to attend one of Dr. Covingtons' classes, and touch of the flu is just what the doctor would have ordered. | |
I think this was a pretty decent story, but it needed a bit of work and one thing that kept throwing me was the portrayal of Melinda's southern accent. She ALWAYS said "ya'll" in place of "you" and I just found that very annoying. But besides that I still think it was a good story. - Anonymous - Apr 14th, 2003 Not to be picky...but it is "y'all", not "ya'all". Contraction of "you all". Otherwise, the story is good, I enjoyed reading it. - Anonymous - Apr-23-2006 |
