| I loved this little known well written story. I was pleasantly surprised and rewarded reading such a well crafted story that reads like an episode. She captures the dynamics between Xena and Gabrielle so well that you can see Lucy and Renee in this story - the back and forth banter and repartee is excellent. Actually, this story reads better than most of the episodes on the show and makes one wonder why TPTB didn't use the more creative and imaginative fan fiction writers or thier stories than the "professional" writers they employed. The fan fiction stories are by far so much better than most of the stories the show came up with - or any of the Xena books that have come out by paid writers, like Ru Emerson, who have very little grasp or passion for the characters the way the fan fiction writers do. The fan fiction stories are way more interesting and the writing is superior than most of what the show produced - be it through their episodes or through the books they published. - Karon Reiter - Jan 15th, 2005 Great story!
