This is a beautifully written short story. The importance of this work is not in the plot but rather in it's exploration of the search for meaning in life and the profound insights offered. The author quotes R.D. Lang 'what we think is so much less than what we know, and what we know is so much less than what there is, and what there is is so much less than what we love, and to that extent we are so much less than what we could be.'

Then sums it up by saying..."It's about love, Kell, I'm sure it is."

Highly recommended. - Wasabigirl - May-05-2008

I am surprised at the lack of recommendations, while still being well rated. This is a great story - well written. Not the easiest read for some - it has the grittiness of a first hand account. Very reminiscent of the trials and tribulations of the Bard and her Warrior. Hard to comprehend that these events in the former Yugoslavia happened not so long ago...
Would be great to have another story about these two. - Georgia - Dec-27-2011

That was an intense and interesting story. I enjoyed it but felt like it left one hanging a bit. I'd like to see a sequel to tie up the tale of these two heroines. - ubergoober - Apr-18-2014
