Gabrielle wonders why Xena is so reluctant to tell her about their latest mission - finding a dragon.
This is actually a trilogy, starting with 'The Cave', following with 'The Sea and the Spring Leaves' and ending with 'Light Mist Falling' which the Athenaeum doesn't carry on its site. I don't know why 'The Cave' is marked 'Alternative' which has some light subtext and 'The Sea and the Spring Leaves' is marked 'General' when there's an actual kiss between Xena and Gabrielle at the end. This trilogy is beautifully written and has a very magical and mysterious feel to it. It deals with courage, bigotry and greed woven into the human heart and like a lot of these creative stories would've made some thought provoking episodes for the TV series.
