I really do love this history and I can't believe it hasn't been commented on before. Is sweet, romantic and well writing. Simply PERFECT, like all others Kerry Hurley histories. Sadly it doesn't had a ending yet & so I keep waiting because it worth the waiting - Kathy - Jun-21-2008

REALLY needs to be finished. - cpo - Feb-13-2011

A wonderful, wonderful story. I've read it several times, and i cant believe it hasnt been commented on before. Its a wonderful Xena and Gabrielle romance. The relationship between them is VERY realistic, very beautiful and deep. If youre looking for a lifelike, warm and classic romance story - READ THIS!!! - Anonymous - Sep 30th, 2005

This story is an intimate look into the love X&G have for one another. ItĘs not the usual short courting straight into sheet burn, they talk about the topics left untouched and about where they want to be. This is a MUST READ if you like romantic tales. The sequel is Candle in the Distance on The Academy Of Bards but it is unfinished. Hopefully the author will complete it. - Draco - Oct 13th, 2005

Very sweet, romantic tale. Nice to see a softer, more vulnerable Xena. - Anonymous - Nov-18-2010

I felt like this story was a tease. There's a long slow build up as Xena and Gabrielle admit their feelings and begin to slooowly share increasing intimacies--in between discussing every random thing that ever happened to them--first while Xena convalesces at an inn and then while visiting Cyrene for Solstice. And in the end, their consummation happens "in the white space" and suddenly they are talking in passing about their first time (specifically about how that had actually been Gab's first time, much to Xena's surprise) and I'm thinking, "Wait. When did they finally have sex??" Because you see, the "fade out" on their latest make-out session didn't suggest they were about to actually sleep together any more than the "fade outs" on any of the previous almost-but-no-not-yet scenes had. I felt like I wasted a lot of time on this one and had been led around by the nose. All that build up and no climax. - Anonymous - Jul-09-2014
