This was a touching and very moving story dealing with the tough, solid and self-controlled warrior - who inside would do anything to keep and love Gabrielle but is put in the very uncomfortable and awkward position of dealing with her partner's family AFTER the Rift and A Family Affair. The dialog between Xena and Hecuba was so stirring and heartrending that it brought tears to my eyes. A very good read. Another story that would have played out well and would have pleased the fans and endeared them more to the series had it been one of the episodes, but was probably too character driven for TPTB - Karon Reiter - Jun-30-2011
