Long Shadows Cast is an exciting read, with solid characterizations of Xena, Gabrielle and the Amazons, and Korkyra does a great job in bringing a sense of urgency to the problems and dramas X&G face.

This fan fiction is set after season 3, but it disregards season 4. Gabrielle and Xena have been reunited but there is no Alti, India or vision. Reunited after the Bards sacrifice, Xena and Gabrielle face more heartache as Xenas darkness is cruelly exploited and unleashed.

Korkyra usually weaves an interesting tale, and this short story isn't an exception. Quite a bit of angst, but even more love - I definitely recommend it. MHR
