A construction worker, she decides to make it her home, and gets some unexpected help from her enigmatic and mysterious neighbor, Rowan.
This was the first Larisa story I read. I was pretty sick last week so I re read this story and it made me feel much better. Then one night while trying to escape a date from Hell, she literally runs into a pair of leather-clad legs under the table next to her. Ice blue eyes capture her - this could be the 'One.' The only problem is that she believes that the tall woman is...well, you'll see...it's one of the things in her ad she wants nothing to do with!

Enter the a tall woman with long black wild looking hair, baggy clothes and the voice of an angel that captured everyone's attention including hers, who with a group of bums stood singing in front of a captive audience of senior citizens that had come from the bus wreck right outside hospital doors! Waylon calls upstairs for a Psych consult, only to find out that the 'blue-eyed bum' is none other than Dr. Hudson 'The Dude' Halgenberg, the hospital psychiatrist. So the fun continues in this zany tale of love and suspense sure to grab you!
THE BLUES wonderful thriller/humor story. Reminds me of "Coma". Just another reason to stay out of the hospital. lol. This is another of Larisas' gripping tales with unconventional characters, laughs, love and gore, that will keep you spellbound.

Normally I love Larisa's work. She has a great sense of humour, but this one was very off. Truth is, the Troopers, headed by the taciturn Dr. T. Storm, are as much proficient professionals heading into danger trying to predict the next twister, as they are nuts. Gavin shortly fits right in with Beavis, Butkis, Dustball & Andy, and especially tall, blue-eyed, Mini Me-toting T., who just canÆt help falling for the short blonde anchor. Get set for great laughs and a fast-paced read that will leave a big smile on your face!

However, in usual Larisa fashion, things are not as they seem and sparks fly between the two protagonists and their cronies, to the innevitable attraction and bliss of the two former 'enemies.'
Another excellent offering from Larisa -- she just keeps getting better. I enjoyed the mystery -- didn't even come close to who the bad guy was. Da Nang is the Best story Larisa has written yet. The agony of Vietnam and the sensitivity with which she explores the broken psyche of Alex while we cheer on her healing romance with Mickey. The head mechanic Mike, turns out to be a six foot of blue-eyed woman that steals her breath away.
I was bored one weekend and i came across this story and it's sequel. I fell in love with it right away. For an uber it really shows Xena's and Gabrielle's personalities. If you find time I suggest you read this story. Larisa I'm still waiting for a third part to this series. Please give me another story. Jack soon becomes one of the gang, moving in lock, stock and pint-sized guard dog, Jessica, who attaches herself to the leg of anyone who's insensitive enough to take issue with her size. It appears everyone has a secret, this time around, but, remember, jumping to conclusions can be counter-productive, in Larisa's world, so, just sit, back, laugh hysterically, eat some blue food, and enjoy the ride!
I think the idea for the story was really good, but it needed some grammatical work big time. There were tons of run on sentences and the words 'I seen...' were used throughout instead of 'I saw...'. I don't mean to sound rude, but it made the characters sound dumb. Also, many times you couldn't tell where one scene ended and another began. Some sort of page break would have been very helpful. A freak storm hits and Eph and Poni were close to being pulled out of the temple into the storm, grabbing a hold of the rope that still bound everyone together they held on to it and each other for dear life. The wind grew stronger as it spun around them, then swallowed them in one gulp. Brie had buried her face in to Xe's neck and held on when they were all picked up and spun in a circle. "Dam the Gods, I wish we were somewhere else!" Brie screamed at the top of her lungs. A loud clap of thunder cracked overhead and a huge bolt of lightening shot through the door hitting the whirlwind, arcs of different colored lights danced around them, then all was black. Weell, ya'll never believe where they ended up!

The main characters are usually very likable and believable, but then the two goofy friends are always thrown in and they just completely detract from the story. I've read it three times so far and each and every time it brings tears of laughter to my eyes and makes those around me look at me as if I'm insane.

With the hospital scenes it's not for the squeemish, but others will find it entertaing, and in some cases profoundly thought provoking. Over the last two years, they've been released. Now we have one dead doctor and his patient that spends money from the grave, and one Albert J. Johnston that has gone missing from the nut house." So whoÆs going to do a little snooping?? Brushing her dark bangs out of her eyes, Blade gave them an evil grin after she was volunteered. ôAfter this is over with, you two owe me big time; I want a bottle of Remy Martin so I can drink myself stupid.ö It doesnÆt take long for that one bottle to be upped to at least three, as Blade goes into the insanity of the place full of interesting characters, especially an endearingly scary, candy-gobbling blonde in footy PJÆs whoÆs fav phrase "Who's your daddy?" just about makes her melt. The antics will keep the reader rolling until the very end.
Larisa struck gold here. I think it was most definitely one of her best stories. I laughed the entire time, and the characters are wonderful. When JD takes off on her Harley after a performance with her band, Whips and Chains, she never thought that she'd end up body slamming into a buffalo. Or being body slammed by a small blonde with sea green eyes. Doc Yancy thinks she just has a mysterious woman now living on her ranch. What scares JD most of all is what will happen when Doc learns her true-identity.

Trials and tribulations ensue, since Xenos has an unusual problem which ends up tying in with the amazons, and causes no end of problems, bust-your-gut moments and some steamyness.
