A cute story that is well-written, is quickly engaging, and is quite entertaining. I would love to see it developed further. This serves as a great introduction, blending technology and magic to fight crime. A full scale crime fighting adventure would be awesome! - Furrskeene - Dec-19-2008

Gabrielle, is the one-legged Poet of Potidaea; historian, orator, and chronicler for the great Emperor, Alexander. She tells what happened when the war was over, and she left the palace in Corinth, going to Shark Island to speak to Xena in her prison cell, and what transpired thereafter.
One of the very best - and most original - Conqueror stories. If you want good writing, good story telling, good characters, and a fresh point of view - don't miss Conquered. You won't soon forget this story. - Anonymous - Feb-03-2007

Terrific Conqueror story. This writer has excellent skills. The story moves along at a good pace - no dull parts here! Read it! You'll love it! - Anonymous - Feb-06-2007

Thanks for suggesting to read this wonderful story. I have to say, the dialogue was pure, so pure in part ten, that all of a sudden I found myself crying, I was shocked at myself..The exchange between Gabrielle and Xena..whew. This is a touching story in many regards esp. with Gabrielle's physical challenges (not to reveal here). Then to google amazontrail not knowing.. damn women, you are some great people. Thank you for even taking the time to give us stories about our 'other' loves Xena and Gabrielle with all you go through. I will read all of your work this week. There's not enough I could say to you, author, simply not enough. - Anonymous - Feb-10-2007

where's the sequel???....AWESOME story. - Grace - Jun-28-2008

I would love a sequel to this amazing story. After I finished I said outloud to my empty room, "That was good. That made me very happy." And I'm not one to talk to myself...much. I would love to see how these two continue their lives. - Alcandre - Aug-21-2008

This has to be one of my top 10 Conqueror stories. I didn't want it to end, or was atleast hoping for a sequel<>. - brighteyez - Sep-12-2008

It's been a long time since I've read such a good story. Pls, more :) - Dark - Dec-06-2011

Very well-written with great dialogue. Touching and convincing story. - xhk - Jun-06-2013

i read this story a long time ago, but since i didn't leave a comment then, i'm doing it now after rereading the story.. i love the evolution of gabrielle's thoughts, but it's hard to picture her having the initial thoughts and feelings.. i also think the time span is too short for her to do such a complete 180.. still a nice read, though.. - xtra dog - Jun-02-2015

Amazing! Couldn't stop reading! - Anonymous - Sep-04-2017

Xena | Alternative | Drama | Short Story - 20 pages | Finished | Jan-07
This story (and all of Leslie Ann Miller's stories) is one of those beautiful fics that makes the Xena fandom stand out. It's beautifully written, wonderfully conceived and manages to tell a complex, heartbreaking story (yes, you will cry) in only a few pages. Brilliant stuff! - leavethesky - Jan-26-2007

Truly beautiful.
A story that will touch your heart, and reawake your passion for Xena fanfiction.
I hope Leslie writes for many years to come. - Kez - Jan-28-2007

In a way, all xenites tend to look away from what put an end to their excitement. Xena and Gabrielle, this beautiful pair that touched so many people around the world, in a way that anybody really expected. But, here was the truth, one day, when the final episodes came on air, and left us with a sens of mourn and a bitter sweet taste. I ached, I'm still aching, I'm xenite, like so many others, and yet, I'm prostating before this bard. She eased my ache to it's core. I'm greatfull. Thank you so much for giving these two women, the eternity they deserve. - yuka - Nov-08-2011

This author is exceptional. Clearly, writing is not a hobby, but a craft. I look forward to reading much more of this story. Thank you. And as for my comments on 'Conquered', please forgive me if I confused you, author, as the folks who had Lynka. They are still amazing folks and I hope they are doing well. - Anonymous - Feb-11-2007

Over twenty years after the events in FIN, Thalia, Gabrielle's daughter, is abducted by Beowulf from the Athens City Academy of Performing Bards and goes on a journey of discovery and adventure to save the world from Loki (ultimately a FIN fix).
This is a lovely story! Told in the first person, it's well written and imaginative. The characterization is nicely done and the plot well conceived and executed. And, like the description says, it's ultimately a story that fixes FIN - in a really neat way. - Michele - Feb-27-2007

Excellent story! Very well written. - Netta - Mar-05-2007

Excellent post FIN story. Absolutely loved and highly recommend it. Original with a very nice twist. I had never read this bard and am so glad I found her stories. - Anonymous - Jun-27-2010
