Loved this story. I'd love to see more from these characters (please?). - Jodine - May 5th, 2005

It was great to see these two characters again. Littlespit does a wonderful job of portraying the feelings these two women have for each other and their child. And the new addition takes a serious subject and handles it superbly. Well done! Well worth the read. - Becca - May 8th, 2005

Wow! This is one of those rare stories that brings out every emotion. I laughed (literally spewed water on my monitor!), I cried (The big lump in the throat and tears stuff), I needed a (few) cold showers. It is a rare and wonderful story that brings me from laughter to tears and ends up with my wanting to know more. This story is a "must read" in my opinion. - Sue - May 9th, 2005

The whole story was just so wonderful, it not only concentrated on the two main women, but on other characters too. Every true emotion came out for me when reading this story. Really touching and real.
Point is, this story can not be missed. - Joanne - Apr-01-2006

Part 1 of the Beautiful Day Series
Series List: Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (A), Another Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Beautiful Addition in the Neighborhood (A)
Darlene had been the only neighbor to come over with an offer of help when she had moved into the new house. The tall, strong, beautiful woman had pitched in without a qualm and, between the two of them. they had the house in order in no time at all. Teri had watched as Darlene took her tiny daughter Lucy into the nursery and set her in the bouncy seat then proceeded to explain every move she made as she put the babyÆs crib together. She explained the importance of double checking how tight the screws were turned; she would hold up each piece or part and tell the tiny girl what it was and what it did. She had, unknowingly, won TeriÆs heart that day. But did the tall beauty feel something in return?

Romance is not dead! This wonderful story is romantic, funny, touching and should come with a "do not read at work" warning. I fell in love with the characters and felt myself cheering for their romance. I've added this tale to my "must read" list. - Lynda - Nov 17th, 2004

I met the author on a plane to Hawaii. She told me she "kinda wrote some fiction". Victoria, you underestimate yourself! I LOVED this story and I quickly devoured the rest of your writing. You, my new friend, are a true romantic at heart. I think "Chance Encounters" is my favorite with "Second Generation" coming in a close second. You should have warned me to have a glass of cold water handy, though! Whew! Thank you for the wonderful read...and I hope your stay in Hawaii was great, Aloha! - Meagan - Jan 13th, 2005
