I really enjoyed this alternative to Season 5 where facing off against murderous Gods turns out to be the least of Xena and Gabby's problems. There's some smashing interaction amongst the characters and there's an intriguing development involving the Roman Emperor's least favourite son. Overall, the main meat and bones of the story doesn't disappoint and it certainly keeps you guessing whatever the outcome might be.
