It has been awhile since I've read this series. It was just as good the second time through. Excellent story. I too wish we had another sequel. would love to revisit these characters to see how they are doing. - Anonymous - Jan-27-2013

Loved the polot in this one as well as well as the realistic touch that not everyone totally supported the two main characters. Would love to see another story in this series. - Stacia - Jan-29-2013

Awesome series!!! I read a LOT of Xena stories. This is one of the best. Gabrielle's character is perfect and the development of their relationship is written extremely well. This writer is a joy to read. - Hawksight1 - May-04-2013

Great story. Builds slowly but the character development is first rate. And even the secondary characters are brought to life. I've loved all her stories and this one shows that Planetsolin still has it. - Anonymous - May 31st, 2004

I LOVE this! The characters are interesting and captivating, the story intriguing. Please let there be a sequel! I'm convinced these ladies have more to say. Thank you for letting us get to know them. :) - Anonymous - Dec 1st, 2004

Oh God, I NEED A SEQUAL!!!!! Great story and writing. Keep it up, you have tremendous talent. - Anonymous - Aug 12th, 2005

I hope this writer has a sequel in the works. There is so much left to tell.... - jac - May-07-2006

This is story is really good but definately requires a sequel. The story ended just as it was getting really good!!!!! Please PLEASE give us more! - Xenangabfan - Aug-12-2008

I went in search for this story because I'd read it before and I had just read another about women in the military. I know it's traditional to ask for a sequel on excellent stories but I was really quite pleased the way this one ended. I would gladly read a sequel, but the only thing I see that might be resolved is Eden's relationship with her grandparents. This is tasty just as it is. - gayzer - Sep-07-2008

Absolutely Great Read. Loved the Characters and story plot! More Please... - Texas_wild - Jan-07-2010

Excellent story. planetsolin teased us saying there would be more... Does anyone know if a sequel was done? I would love to see this relationship unfold. Loved the build up. - x/g fanfic fanatic - Aug-04-2010

I love this story. Two women become aware of each other's presence while training on an aircraft carrier. The Middle East unrest stirs acts of war and soon the women find themselves on parallel missions which turn tragic. Thankfully a rescue brings the two women face to face and their lives become richly intertwined. The characters are so wonderful that I wish the story never ended. Thank you, Planetsolin, I'll come back to it time and again. - Teresa - Sep-03-2010

Brilliant story! The author had the words to put you through the anguish during the rescue! Hope she will give us a sequel soon! - louise - May-26-2011

My favorite "women in uniform" fic ever. Great dialogue, an even more awesome story, and totally unforgettable lead characters. Wouldn't mind more spice at the end, but its okay, there's plenty of that elsewhere at the Athenaeum. Needs a beta reader's touch though, still have lots of little typos. - OMG - Jul-01-2011

One of the best military based stories I've read. Even though it has been awhile, I hope a sequel is in the works! - Stacia - Jan-29-2013

Lovely military story! It was so sweet but it really left me wanting more, especially what they were supposed to do after the end... fingers crossed tightly a sequel is forthcoming... - Regina - Sep-13-2015

Forever by planetsolin
Xena | Alternative (Mature) | Drama | Novella - 102 pages | Finished | Dec-04
Cast: Xena, Conqueror, Gabrielle, Archius, Solan, Caesar, Callisto
Part 6 of the Conqueror Series
Series List: If...This Had Been The Beginning, Home Again, Surrender, Promise of Tomorrow (The), Family, Forever
I am a HUGH FAN of the Conqueror Stories. This series is one of the top five out there. I have read this one at least 7 times over the last few years and still I never tire of it. I would like to applaude (standing and clapping now) Planetsolin for finally finishing her series. It is a rare thing from some authors for sure. With that said, I must admit that Forever is my least favorite in the series. Maybe because I pictured it going one way with Xena getting to know Solan and waiting the birth of Gabby and Xena's child and it went in a completely different direction. I think if it was finished sometime around the time the originals were written it would have flowed much better with the series. Forever lost some steam IMHO and took on some of the original TV show. It just didn't have the same vibe as the original stories had. I did think the ending was endearing though. I still think that Planetsolin is still one of the best bards out there and I look forward to her future projects. - Jade - Dec 7th, 2004

A must read. - Anonymous - Apr-11-2008

the end of this series.. i'm unsure whether i like or dislike the ending.. it was unexpected so i applaud the bard for the surprise ending.. but still.. - xtra dog - Jun-14-2015

The end of a wonderful Conqueror story. This is really one of my favourites now and I really like how it ended, which was a sweet nod back to the original series. Really great and very well-written story, a must-read for sure if you like Conqueror stories. - Regina - Sep-03-2015

One of the best conqueror stories, it really captured a realistic and believable version of how Xena and Gabrielle’s relationship could have started and progressed when Gabrielle is not a slave and just a wondering bard. But the ending was so brutal my gosh but thankfully the epilogue fixes it. But still a great story. - Anonymous - Aug-09-2017

Home Again by planetsolin
Xena | Alternative (Mature) | Drama | Novella - 84 pages | Finished | Jan-04

This continues from "If This had Been the Beginning...' and finds Gabrielle more embroilled in the gods' intrigue as she visits Potadeia and then ends up with the Amazons. Xena is finding it hard to see past what the circumstances reveal and what her heart is telling her as she goes after her.
Brilliant characters, wonderful plot, i have lost counted of the amount of times i have read this series. - Anonymous - Apr-11-2008

Part 1 of the Conqueror Series
Series List: If...This Had Been The Beginning, Home Again, Surrender, Promise of Tomorrow (The), Family, Forever
In this Conqueror tale, Artemis and Aphodite are out to teach Ares a thing or two when Xena the Conqueror meets the Bard of Potadeia under unusual circumstaces, and this begins changes that will affect the known world.
I love this story, i hope there is a sequel, pleasee pleaseee!! - Anonymous - Jan 16th, 2004

One word "STUNNING", it's one of the best story I've ever read, and if only the actual series were like it was in this tale than I have nothing to complain. Please read if you haven't read this...NOW!!!! - Kuu - Jun-12-2007

If you like conqueror stories, read this wonderful series. This one has everyone we know and love/hate including Alti, Callisto, Caesar, Amazons, Solon, Ares, Dite, Cyrene, Artemis and even the befuddled Joxer the Mighty (something). This series is a six story arc so give yourself time to enjoy. I had some issues with events toward the end, and didn't really understand the title of the first story until the end of the sixth, but maybe that was the point. If you see Xena as an incarnation of the Conqueror; almost two different people, then you'll enjoy her stuggle throughout the series. I hated that Lila called her "Gabby", petty I know. Not a big Lila fan. - gayzer - Jan-03-2008

What a great story. Job well done. - sassy123 - Nov-08-2010

One of my favorites. Great job. - sassy123 - Dec-02-2010

This and Home again the story after are wonderful. I could not stop reading them once I began. You will enjoy the love, fears, heartbreak and surrender. - Starry - May-20-2011

I love that although Xena is strong & ruthless she gladly submits to Gabrielle's loving heart. You must read entire series. You will not be sorry. - Anonymous - Mar-30-2012

I'm a sucker for a good Conqueror story. It took me a while to get to this one (thank you Yahoo Groups. lol) but I'm glad I finally did. Very true to both Xena and Gabrielles' essence. - babyjune - Jul-10-2012

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this wonderful read! I devoured each word of your beautiful stories and enjoyed the familiar characters and the evolving Empress and Bard. I loved the characterisation of The Conqueror and the description of the panther she had caged within her always ready to be unleashed! Truly the best Conqueror story I have read - dark and dangerous but also instinctive and sharp minded continue to capture my imagination of the dark Xena!

Thank you and I hope that you are still writing even if it is not Xena fic! - Bing - Jan-03-2014

great start to an entertaining series.. i'm off to read to sequel.. - xtradog - Jun-13-2015

This is a great start to a wonderfully written Conqueror story! One of my favourites now that I have read through to the end. The strength and yet loneliness of Xena is captured perfectly here, and I like how Gabrielle is good and balanced here. Really lovely writing. - Regina - Sep-03-2015

Number Two by planetsolin
Original / Uber | Modern | Alternative | Drama | Novella - 131 pages | Finished | Feb-13
Part 2 of the Finding Your Heart Series
Series List: Finding Your Heart, Number Two
planetsolin thank you. the first series is good but this one is even better. either planetsolin is once a soldier or she is one of the good imaginative mind!! you guys read it! - eden - Feb-11-2013

This story tugs on the heart strings. It is as well written as the first and emotional. The ending was abrupt and it feels almost unfinished. It would be interesting to see a piece where "Number 1 and Number 2" meet and compare stories. This is a definite must read for military story fans. - Stacia - Feb-12-2013

Great story. Truly inspiring. - Charlotte - Mar-10-2013

Such a great story ! I hope you'll write other companions fics to it. Thx to you ! - Platoon1 - Jul-20-2013

I can't wait for the third installment (pls tell me there will be one!). Planetsolin is one of the most talented bards out there and this is another wonderful MUST READ story. Congratulations again on your amazing work and pls keep 'em coming. So many authors have gone MIA from the fic world we cannot thank enough those that remain and keep bringing new amazing stories to life. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU! :) - babyjune - Nov-19-2013

This story is one of my all time favourites. I don't know how many times I've read it and every time its still special. There isn't a wasted word or scene in this story. And it builds to a very satisfying and believable conclusion. - Anonymous - May 31st, 2004

Loved this story. great job - sassy123 - Feb-02-2013

Couldn't stop reading once I started this! Highly recommend. - Anonymous - Feb-10-2013

Bravo!! I completely enjoyed this story as the author played will all of my emotions. I wanted more as an ending but bravo all the same.

***spoiler alert*** I normally hate reading books that have no summery because I generally like to know what I will be reading. So here goes. This story is about a lawyer who's husband dies leaving her with twins. Not everything thing is simple as she wrestles with his death and her feelings. Soon she realizes that her feelings for his half sister is the only true love she has ever known..excluding the kids of course. - Katie of Ohio - Jun-13-2013

Good read - SD - Apr-22-2015

This is a pretty quick read, not as fluffy as her other stories but it is still very well done and definitely worth a read for sure. - Regina - Sep-09-2015

Here's a tale about a woman who unexpectedly inherits a Castle and Island in Scotland.
This has to be one of the most fantastically well written story I have beenafforded the opportunity to read in quite some time. I have found it to beriveting..compelling....and definitely sitting on the edge of my seat for thenext chapters. - Christi - Sep 15th, 2005

Slightly disturbing but great tension throughout the story. - 1234 - Nov-10-2009

Wow, this is such a beautiful and touching gem of a story. Much better than most I've read at Athenaeaum. It definitely deserves more recommendations. - OMG - Jun-29-2011

great story, well written - soopi - Jul-08-2012

Interesting story with a great mix of family drama, mystery and emotions. Not my favorite by planetsolin, but definitely worth a read. - Stacia - Jun-12-2013

Spoiler Alert!! I think what makes this one story of Planetsolin that I less favor is that it'sreally two stories in one and the "past" story is a m/f with a very explicit intimate romance. It's incongruous with the present-day romance AND it seems to me that the romance is one of soulmates finding each other time and again, transcending gender; I've yet to find evidence to believe that's even possible. The story therefore appears to be strongly tilted towards a heterosexual romance, so explicit a telling the m/f is illustrated, that it sets the precedence and cadence making the latter story inconceivable if not impossible to follow. - Samantha - Jul-24-2014

hmm.. not sure what to think of this story.. ****SPOILER ALERT**** i, as well as other commenters, feel that the story situated in the past seems to be the romantic focal point.. the story of the two alleged sisters doesn't convey the same romance.. although the author hinted very early on in the story that one of the bastard children was not related to the other one, except in name.. and when we finally do get to the forming of the relationship, there is a two year leap, effectively killing all prospects of reading about the development of the protagonists romantic relationship.. anyway, well written story but not my cup of tea.. - xtra dog - Jun-15-2015

This was an interesting story, not my favourite by Planetsolin since it reads like an earlier work by her, but still worth a read. Still enjoyable though. - Regina - Sep-09-2015
