Part 2 of a Series
Series List: Lesser Evil (The)
A sequel to 'A Simple Matter of Trust' picks up the story nearly a year later and finds both Xena and Gabrielle struggling with Gabrielle's chosen path of non-violence, with serious consequences as a result. A mysterious new presence in their lives, as well as shadowy dark forces from the past, edge Xena and Gabrielle into a desperate struggle to maintain and protect all that they hold dear, including each other. Past and present intertwine, shedding new light on a number of haunting and troubling mysteries, and placing them directly beneath the shadow of the cross in their future. This story, as did it's predecessor, moves between humor, action, drama, despair and foremost, it is a journey of love, loyalty and true friendship.
I haven't finsihed reading this story yet but it is quit extraordinary. Pam Wilson moves through time and space and between reality and illusion with remarkable skill. It is best to read A Simple Matter Of Trust first since it continues Xena and Gabrielle's adventures with their friend Xan and the dark goddess Hecate. - Cheryl Ande - Dec 23rd, 2002

Hey, I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed both of your stories.. 'A Simple Matter of Trust' and 'The Lesser Evil'. They were wonderful. I loved the way you developed your characters, and especially the tenderness between Xena and Gabrielle. I also want to let you know that your use of lyrics in Lesser Evil was fantastic. And on top of that, your poetry is excellent! You're an all around wonderful bard! I really hope to see more of you. Take care and don't sprain anything while typing out your next story. :o) - Lynne - Dec 30th, 2002

WONDERFUL tale! I love the quotes and poetry at the beginning of each part...they are a little added bonus that help set the mood! This writer has created some new characters and situations, but has maintained that unbreakable bond between Xena and Gabrielle that made us watch so avidly when it was first shown on TV. Thanks for the great writing! - Radar - Jan 9th, 2003

Cast: Gabrielle, Xena, Xan, Rachel, Xander, Baltar
Xena is reunited with an old friend from the past, a stranger to Gabrielle, whose close ties to Xena provide a wonderful catalyst for the bard to examine her relationship with the warrior princess. The reunion leads them on a dangerous and revealing path into Xena's past. We also meet a shadowy new dark goddess whose influence has a far reaching effect on the lives of both Xena and Gabrielle. The story itself moves between humor, angst, action, betrayal, loyalty, and, above all else, friendship and love.
This is one terrific story. Pam Wilson writes well and has an interesting way of telling a story and has the ability to create original characters that fit well into a classic Xena story. - Cheryl Ande - Dec 23rd, 2002
